An Update!

Hey, lovelies, It's that time of the year again! Time to post some things that I wrote this year that either didn't get finished or the original idea changed so much from the posted version, but posting the original version anyway to see how things have changed since then.

Planned Schedule:

-Dec 7th: An attempt to practice writing with some unused Fictober prompts from years past, but didn't finish this one either.

Welcome to the Request Guide! I’m happy to have you here. Before you go any further, please be sure to review the posted rules of my blog to ensure that your request is not dismissed.

Now that you have reviewed my rules, there are a few things to know about requests on my blog.

As mentioned in my rules, I do attempt to fulfill all requests (that follow my rules) that I receive. However, I retain the right to deny requests as I see necessary.

My requests are rarely ever closed, and because of this, I ask that you allow me time to fulfill my inbox. They are often completed in the order that they are receive, and added to my fic release schedule.

Some requests will take me longer than others to complete—it’s likely because I’m so attached to the concept that I want it to be perfect.

Request lengths will vary. Some will be shorter while others are longer. Please be understanding.

Unless otherwise stated in the request, I will most likely default reader to gn!reader.

Just as, unless otherwise requested, I will default all requests to SFW material.

Again, please note that this is a [insert character] x reader blog.

Without of the way, I understand that some inquiries are often unsure of what to add to their request, and as such, I set up this request guide to help ensure that your request is answered as individualized as the submitter (or at least as much as you would like it to be!).

Please indicate what kind of request you are making. Whether you wish for a headcanon prompt, short, au, fluff, character analysis, or even just a prompt/suggestion you want me to run with.

As mentioned, indicate if you are looking for SFW, or NSFW.

Be sure to express what character and fandom you are requesting. Example include: Shinobu Kocho [KNY], Amajiki Tamaki [MHA], etc. This is a multi fandom blog after all.

Add details you are comfortable with disposing such as personality, appearance, exceptionalities, interests, career/goals, etc, but please, be sure not to reveal any personal details. Your safety matters to me.

50 SLBP Prompts

I am having an off morning. For a lot of reasons. My primary method for handling these bouts is to chug water, and pour the nervous energy into whatever the heck comes to mind and hope the heartbeat thing sorts itself out while I ignore it, so, here you go. Some of these will be terrible. Most of them will be ridiculous because it’s me y’all I don’t write angsty or meaningful substance-y stuff it’s all ballet and feather boas. Don’t judge me on how many superhero ones there are I’m on a kick. AND WHATEVER you don’t have to do anything with them if you don’t like them but you can if you do

Yukimura

Yukimura and MC are having a fight – Saizo is off on a mission, so Nobuyuki has to fix it.

“I don’t think he can get redder. Unless…” “Oh no,” started the chef, “Not a chance.”

Usually Saizo handles the ninja missions, but this time you and Yukimura have to go to undercover and please stop laughing Saizo we’re trying okay.

Saizo

Soulmate AU where when your soulmate first speaks to you, the words appear permanently over your heart – which incidentally, is why Saizo kept his mouth shut when you met as children.

Superhero (villain?) AU where the little fox half-mask is not fooling anyone. Except you, probably.

You’re very tired of Saizo trying to push you away for your own good, so you decide to turn the tables. Sort of.

Ieyasu:

You get three wishes and Ieyasu has to grant them – but he’ll do so as he pleases, so, be careful what you wish for.

Ieyasu’s ticked off a vengeful spirit and now one or the both of you can only say the exact opposite of what you mean. If it’s Ieyasu,  would you even notice?

You are about 99% certain that the local supervillain’s civilian identity is the cute jerk with a sweet tooth who never tips when he visits your restaurant and this time when you are kidnapped you decide to offer to cook while you wait for your hero to show up. Bonus points if your local superhero is a super grumpy Mitsunari who is unhappy with how many times you end up in this guy’s clutches come on seriously have you no self-awareness

Mitsunari:

Librarian AU where someone’s book is overdue

You’re supposed to be a respectful retainer of Hideyoshi but look at you, you’re scrawny and don’t know how to hold a sword, I’m going to fix that.

By insulting you that person also insulted Hideyoshi’s taste and I can’t have that we are having a makeover session now and when I am done with you you are going to show them that you are a stunning, gorgeous creature if it kills you.

Hideyoshi:

Cinderella story where Hideyoshi puts Nobunaga’s sandal on MC and declares it’s a fit.

You’ve been trying to work up the courage to ask Hideyoshi out on a date and it finally happened only you also realize that he sort of set the whole thing up and you two going out was his plan all along.

Hideyoshi is assembling a superhero team, and has to convince the Fox (Mitsunari) and the Strategist (Hanbei) to join, all while keeping his own personal Lois Lane (…MC) in the dark about his secret identity, and the head of the superhero syndicate (Nobunaga) happy.

Toshiie/Inuchiyo

This creepy guy (Magistrate) won’t leave me alone, quick, pretend to be my fiancé so he’ll stop

We’re at a festival and I finally confessed but there were fireworks and you didn’t hear me, now what

Soulmate AU where the last words spoken to one another appear on your hands the first time you meet, and you were just a kid and don’t really remember but I do, and I’m not sure I ever want you to know because they broke my heart.

Mitsuhide:

Mitsuhide runs a daycare and his most problematic child is actually his landlord, Nobunaga

It’s been four and a half centuries since Honnō-ji, but like clockwork, Mitsuhide and Nobunaga are standing across from one another, on the umpteenth reincarnation and umpteenth confrontation, and this time, it’s going to end differently. 

You’ve fallen in love with a book of poetry and bought everything the author’s written and you’re just gushing about it to some poor stranger on the train while on your way to culinary school and surprise, turns out he’s the author? 

Nobunaga:

Nobunaga is an ACTUAL Demon King and all you did was spill some spices and salt while reaching for the first aid kit, you weren’t actually trying to summon him, you swear.

After the number of times that Nobunaga has made MC be Princess Kaguya for one of his tournaments, the moon is actually starting to suspect she might be, and has let her know that it will be reclaiming her on the next full moon.

Modern political leader Nobunaga is super excited to drag his new personal chef on a private jet because the meeting he has to attend JUST HAPPENS to be in the same place that’s famous for its high quality ingredients and whoops we have to fend off some would-be assassins while in the air nbd.

Shingen:

MC is working for Kenshin, Shingen decides he wants her with him instead.

Vampire AU (he has a thing for biting, k?) – bonus if chef!MC is frustrated she can’t cook with garlic anymore or is panicking because she HAS been cooking with it this whole time

Shingen decides he should write an autobiography, but his retainers keep interjecting their own thoughts and perspectives whenever he leaves his notes out.

Kenshin:

AU where Kenshin owns a flower shop

MC has a date so she frantically asks Kenshin for styling help because he’s fashionable right? Except he decides she looks way too cute to handover to someone else.

Every item in his treasury has a story – it’s just not the one he tells to other people.  

Masamune:

 Surprise! He actually IS a dragon. And in all his time as a dragon, no one has ever dared talk to him until this little chef heard his dragon tummy rumble and made him porridge, and now he’s walking around as a human and hey look, this restaurant has porridge and it smells familiar…

 All Masamune wants to do is read his book in peace. It’s not going well.

 This whole time I thought you were Yahiko but I went to your restaurant to meet your sister and ‘Yahiko’ greeted me and now I’m not sure if your parents are just bad at names or if something’s up.

Kojuro:

 Adventures in Babysitting: The Early Oshu Years OR Teenage Kojuro is going to have ONE night of not being a responsible adult before the existential terror of being responsible for these two guys who have been through so much and have no one else really hits home.

 I’d really like to take you out on ONE date that doesn’t end in bandits attacking, but here we are again, you brought your weapon right? 

 Several years ago, a cursed object was sent as a ‘gift’ to Kojuro but it got lost in his messy room and you’re cleaning it and whoops, should not have picked that up you’re cursed now. Except, the cursecaster didn’t account for half a decade of inactivity...

Shigezane:

 I’m sorry you got dumped because the other person fell for Kojuro but I think you’re really cool but I don’t know how to tell you that so I’m just going to feed you and hope you pick up on it or that I get the gumption to talk to you before you’re done eating. 

I THOUGHT my personal superhero who keeps rescuing me from all these supervillains (and my restaurant’s jerky landlord) was the quiet customer with the eyepatch but it’s actually his cousin and I just found out by accident and was not expecting that. 

 You are bound and determined to protect the castle at all costs in Shigezane’s absence so when a burglar breaks into his bedroom in the middle of the night you don’t even hesitate to hit him with a vase. Too bad it’s actually Shigezane, who got home and just didn’t want to wake everyone up.

Side Characters:

Kagieie: We’re on a mission for Kenshin and the weather got really bad and so now we’re stuck at an inn that only had one room left.

Kanetsugu: Kenshin’s retainers all rally to (try) and give the man a relaxing spa day.

Toramatsu: Our boss is a total jerk and I can’t believe he is making you go get coffee (that he won’t even drink) for the eleventh time today and it’s almost 2 AM there’s no way I’m letting you go alone but—oh wait the elevator’s stuck.

Kiyohiro: I tried to build a snowman but it wasn’t the same without so I came to see you and whoops now we’re snowed in.

Oichi: Nobunaga may have disappeared, but Oichi is not about to let the Oda clan fall under anyone else’s leadership– she’s taking history into her own hands.

Nobuyuki: Your small restaurant is about to be taken over by a large corporation, lucky for you your favorite customer has a plan – whether you’re going to like it or not.

Tadakatsu: No one actually ever noticed you were in disguise, but since your cooking is too good to risk, you got assigned as a page to Tadakatsu.

Kansuke: After being invisible nearly his entire life, Kansuke decides that for one day – ONE day – he is going to be memorable.

Hotaru: Accidentally tells the MC to ‘do what whatever she wants’ instead of making it a suggestion

Of course, my darling!

Here you go:

She hums an old childhood lullaby as she works, her deft hands mashing the coarse red beans into a fine paste. Her voice lilts softly as she reigns over the kitchen like a true master, the breathy cadence of her humming unassuming and full of warmth. 

There’s nobody in the kitchen but her; it’s a quiet hour and she takes advantage of the peace. She likes the maids and other cooks and enjoys their company immensely, but there is something to be said for working in solitude, too. Especially now. 

She’s about to grease the hot skillet when strong hands envelope her from behind, the scent of leather and sweat and dried blood rising in her nostrils - intrusive, but somehow not unwelcome - as a stubbled cheek presses against her neck. 

“Did you miss me, doll?” comes the hushed rumble, and her belly dips and breath shortens. He’s been gone for over a month. 

“Welcome home, anata,” she smiles, leaning backwards into his chest, not caring one bit that the metal of his armour and the katana at his hip are pressing rather uncomfortably into her back. “Where is the rest of your army?”

“I rode ahead; wanted to surprise you,” she can feel his smile in the kiss he plants on her nape. “Did it work?”

She doesn’t have the heart to tell him that he’s been spotted riding towards Omori by their scouts a few hours ago. After all, he seems so proud of his little surprise. 

A quick turn in his arms and she’s looking up into his smiling eyes. He’s mostly unscathed from what she can tell, apart from a few scrapes here and there, and the darkened shadow over his jaw and lower cheeks is curiously alluring. 

She has the strong urge to feel that stubble against her inner thighs. 

“I’m very surprised,” blushing, she mumbles, and hopes that he’d take his sudden arrival as the reason for the quickening of her blood. “And very happy.” 

He’s about to say something sweet - he always says something sweet - when his eyes happen to stray and land on the skillet behind her. His expression changes in a matter of moments, in that rather comical way that only he can seem to achieve. 

“Doll… are - are you making taiyaki?” he asks, mouth slack, suspicion creeping into his voice. 

Uh-oh.

“I - I just missed you so much!” she cries, blurting out the first excuse that comes to her mind. “And… and, er, making it made me feel…closer to you?”

As far as excuses go, she feels she could have done worse. Especially when he reacts by first going absolutely still, then murmuring her name, and finally, pulling her to him by the hips and kissing her so wildly that she feels her knees might buckle. 

“That’s - doll - you -” he groans against her mouth, teeth grazing her lower lip. “Have mercy on a poor guy! I’ve only had men for company for over a month, and Kojuro and Masa aren’t the type to cuddle.”

She can’t help it; this man never fails to make her laugh, and - despite her best efforts - she finds herself giggling loudly into his kisses and gasping for breath when he pulls her even closer. 

And a little later, when Ibano enters the kitchen, he finds it in quite the state of upheaval, with an upturned bowl of koshian paste lying on the floor and a burned down skillet, out of service.

He sighs and kneels down to right the mess, all the while fighting a fond smile.

Omori is finally cheerful again.

They had decided to try, so the sex they had was as passionate and joyful and reaffirming as ever, but it had new meaning now. It wasn’t work, she’d been relieved to learn, it just made everything that little bit more intentional beyond the way they were intimate before. Or maybe it was work, but it was fun and she liked it!

Fun but sometimes more serious, because now when they made love, he’d give her the sort of soulful look she had seen in his eyes the first time they were together, and when he’d asked her to move in with him. He would whisper, sometimes teasing and sometimes his voice gone all low and guttural, that he couldn’t wait to get her pregnant, and sometimes she whispered back that she couldn’t wait, either.

He was even sweeter and sillier than usual, otherwise: when he asked her to go on walks with him, he only let go of her hand to pick little clover flowers and then tuck them into her braids or behind her ears. Every time they sat on the couch he’d get the cutest expectant look and pat his lap until she laughed and put her feet up so he could rub them. They had broken tradition a few weekends in a row, now, and because he was a gentleman, Hiromasa hadn’t pushed. She and Shigezane both felt awful when they realized how many weeks it had been, and decided to treat him to one of the places downtown that was supposed to have good scotch eggs. He liked those.

Since her first moment in Shigezane’s life, Hiromasa had nothing but kindness for her whether she was wearing her wedding gown or the grubby old clothes she wore for deep cleaning the house. Still, his eyes went a particular sort of soft went when she and Shigezane dressed up, so she decided to do that a bit for this brunch date. She had a blue lace dress she hadn’t worn in a while…

When she stepped into the living room that morning, Shigezane whistled, clearly impressed. “You look amazing,” he said as he nodded appreciatively. “Your hair’s great like that.” She had spent some time on it, and her makeup, too, so she preened under his attention and returned the compliment. They just managed to drag themselves out the front door in a timely fashion.

Gramps was so gracious and natural with them (“Isn’t she the prettiest thing in this restaurant?” “Shigezane, please, the young man is waiting to take your order. Of course you are, dear.”) she felt even worse that they had allowed so many weekends to pass without meeting him. The family they already had was important, too. They all had a wonderful time and agreed to go back to their usual spot the following Sunday. He waved as he walked off in the opposite direction outside the restaurant, and she felt like her world was at happy peace.

The weather was gorgeous and she was full from brunch, so when Shigezane asked if he could show her off on a walk around downtown she giggled and nodded. “You really look beautiful,” he said sweetly, touching her cheek. He gave her a quick kiss, pronounced that she smelled like syrup and he liked it, and then crooked his elbow for her. They walked arm in arm around one of the lakes downtown, window shopping. It was really one of those perfect early summer days.

They started to talk at the same time:

“You know—”

“Ducklings!”

They stopped to watch the not-so-little duck family swim for a minute, then continued walking. She asked what he’d been about to say.

A bit bashfully, he rubbed a hand over her knuckles where they curved around his arm. “I know it might seem like I’m laying it on thick today, doll, but– you know I think you’re the most beautiful thing on the planet all the time, right? Today, though, really, you look…”

After a few steps without him saying anything else, she stopped, and he stopped with her. His eyes had been aimed at the summer clouds, but they fell toward her then, slow as her favorite snowflakes. Very thoughtfully, he said “You look like you’re glowing.”

They shared a look, then grins.

Three mornings later they knew for sure.

Tendrils of steam stolen by winter air are seduced from the cooling tea on her tray as geta scrape worn planks, tracing the familiar path to his room.

“Shingen, it’s time for tea,” she murmurs as she sets the twin teacups upon the table, one notched with scrapings and absent drawings of children made in the midst of interrupted business. She ensures the pattern of his cup faces him, so he will always see the dancing tiger, bright with scarlet flame and proud hunger. She settles in on her side, curling her legs together to stave the cold. Still, her fingers shiver as she cradles her cup and brings it to her lips. She savors the bitterness, the warmth that seeps into her veins only to vanish by the next minute. She finishes her tea, alone.

“Can I kiss you?” She muttered indignantly as she wiggledout from under his grasp.

“That’s what you want, isn’t it?” He took a step towards heragain. “What you’ve been wanting.”

“And something you did not want until very recently.” Sheanswered back with a stern look. He was about to take another step forward, butshe put the practice sword to his chest. “You are the lord of the Sanada clan.You would do well to keep your distance from the weak and feeble such as myself,lest our weakness rub off on you.” He ignored her choosing to try to push thesword out of the way. She put just a little more weight into it, so he couldfeel a slight pain on his sternum now.

“What has you so upset?” He turned his attention back to herfor the time being, giving her his usual smile. “You cute when you’re angry,you know.” He was being honest at that moment, she did seem quite cute. Hercool mask of formality melted. She still couldn’t hide her emotions, not quitelike he could.

“I suppose you wouldn’t know or be able to fathom it, LordNobuyuki. We’re very different, you and I. Like oil and water. We can existside by side but never really come together on anything.” She replied loweringthe sword and turning her back to him. “I should have realized that a lotsooner than I did.” He didn’t miss the way her one hand gripped the swordtightly as she spoke, but she kept the exact emotion causing the act from hervoice. When she turned to look at him again she had a smile on her face. Almostgenuine but not quite right. “Thank you for helping me realize my foolishness.”

“Here I thought you were doing all this for me. I would havebeen very flattered if that were the case. May I?” He gestured to the practicesword in her hand and she readily offered it to him. “Since it is not for me,that begs the question, why are you doing this?” He flipped the sword over andpressed the tapered point in to the soft flesh under her chin.

“We live in troubling times, Lord Nobuyuki. Times where evena simple kitchen girl such as myself could be cut down simply for having workedfor the Sanada. Being able to defend myself is not such a bad thing, is it?”She was unnervingly cool as she met his gaze and he realized he had no powerover her anymore. He had been some mystical creature to her before, familiarand yet wholly unable to be understood. “Being able to prove you wrong is apleasant bonus.” There was tug at the corner of her lips like she thought shemight smirk.

She was treading on very thin ice and didn’t even know ityet. The point was that he wanted, needed, a woman who could stand beside him.One that could match him or challenge him, not defer to him. One that couldpush him and his safe boundaries, not stand safely within them. In short, heneeded someone to make his rather safe and dull existence exciting.

He pushed the sword up slowly causing her to follow on hertip toes. When she could no longer do that, she started to wince. “I’m not surewhat it is you’re trying to do, but I’m not going to stand here like this.” Sheknew she couldn’t force the sword down with the strength of her hands, so shekicked his arm out. Unfortunately, the sudden act caused them both to fall overwith Nobuyuki on top. Now he had her right where he wanted her.

“Oh hells…” She grumbled looking away with a blush. “I’msorry…” He gently grasped her chin and pulled her troubled gaze back to hismischievous one.

“At what point did you think that was a good idea?”

Hanzo(s): Good morning. Today, we’ll be tweeting about Lord Ieyasu’s daily routine.

Hanzo: This is Hanzo (Kiyohiro). Lord Ieyasu seems to be heading out somewhere.

Hanzo: This is Hanzo (Masanari). Lord Ieyasu has apparently come out to search for medicinal plants. There are many herbs that are good for colds in this area, so perhaps he has caught a cold… Haha. How worrisome.

Hanzo (I’m guessing Masanari?): It would be nice to have a camera that could keep up with the speed of ninja movements.

Ieyasu: Why are you draping a scallion around my neck*, snakey bastard? It seems that you don’t know you’re the only one here who's interested in wrapping things around your neck.

Ieyasu: Bedtime. This Twitter thing ends tomorrow, so you’d better wake up on time.

*In Japan, it’s said that putting a scallion around your neck will help you to recover from a cold. Uh. I’ve personally never tried it.
