Another comic dub i have done for Slumbertale again thank you to @rainingskeletons the comic and the au belong to them. This was so much fun to dub. I love the whole direction with asgore. Makes a big difference that he actually wants revenge on humanity. Sans doing his best to be a fair judge bless him. Having to put up with Asgore.

Slumbertale

In this AU, when monsters lost the war they weren't trapped on the underground. Instead, they got trapped in the real of dreams ✨

The monsters are fulled by Hope and Dreams and since monsters have difficulty on both things, Asgore used the human souls that fell there to some day free the Monsterkind.

But where there's light, there's darkness and where there's dreams... there's nightmares

With each human soul acquired, Asgore own self got twisted, twisted with bad dreams. He's now very cold and heartless

Now, his objective is not just freeing Monsterkind, but killing all the humans.

But maybe, a kind and cute child, with the help of a small and cheerful skeleton may be able to make the real of dreams go empty :0

Well i tried to resume the AU with a bit of a dramatic storytelling (muahahah i love to do this)

Your asgore is great and I love the more whimsical art style your using. And on a side note did you use elements of Netflix’s castlevania dracula with your asgore?

Not exactly inspired but I definitely wanted to give him a more classical/gothical feeling. Castlevania art is always gorgeous and haunting <3

To the other asks in my inbox about redemption, Asgore's actions came from a place of love and turned into something twisted and horrific through his sins. One of the biggest themes in this AU is about second chances, so there is definitely a chance for him. But whether he decides to take it or not.... only time will tell.

I love your artwork and AU and I must say that you’re asgore is by far my favorite asgore in all of the AUs I have ever seen.

I wanted to create an Asgore that reflected how haunting and tragic his role really is /_ \. He willingly turned himself into something nightmarish in order to protect the hopes and dreams of his people.

Oh and the way you choose or it seems like it, to asgore be an very ruthless king made me for so special i just love it and i am obsses with it.

Uuuuu✨❤️✨ I'm so happy you're enjoying it! There was so much potential to imagine Asgore as a tragic but also ruthless villain. It was just too good not to. I think the world of dreams was a perfect place to explore this side of him!

Ok so I've been thinking a lot about it, to do something special for October!

I came up with some we can do, take a look below and tell me which sounds more fun? xD

1. A community art contest related to slumbertale and coming up with creative Holloween costumes? I can't offer much in awards but all entries will be featured on the blog and the winner will be crowned spooky skeleton supreme

2. A mini comic, a page a day for two weeks, following pacifist Frisk's final confrontation with Asgore where you can control the actions they take during the battle?

3. A Holloween pun off just cause we can

4. A twitch stream where we draw Paps in cute Holloween outfits (This one makes me nervous cause I've never streamed before (๑•﹏•))

Thanks I had a lot of fun with it! I really wanted to visualise what a "nightmare" might look like in the world of slumbertale. A twisted monster who has been corrupted by his love for his people and his family, who will never forgive. It's a powerful challenge against the healthy love and compassion that this story is built on <3

Does Any Other Slumbertale Character Have Special Slumber related abilities? (Just Curiosity, No Need to answer If don't Want to, or do not want to spoil) (I am really invested in This universe)

These are all the ones I've thought of so far! Though, I might make a seperate post for Asgore and Tori later on.
