BACK FROM SMASSSHH

SO. SATURDAY WAS AWESOME. SUNDAY, NOT SO MUCH. TIME FOR A RECAP.

So, Saturday as Clay- Holy shit. I didn’t expect so many people to recognize me ;u; I had so many awesome conversations about Ace Attorney with people that come the middle of the day I was actually starting to feel woozy from talking and standing so much! I haven’t had such a fun time at a con since probably my second AVcon quite a few years back in my weeb days. I feel so, so bad that I didn’t get any names/contact deets bc some of you were absolutely fabulous.

Another note on Saturday, I got to meet Chancake, finally! I didn’t ask her to fight me tho. We chatted a little and I was just my awkward idol-struck self, and chan took a selfie with me and asked for my tumblr hghghgh I felt so weird spotting her again and again throughout the day (/□＼*)・゜ I did get over it and took a picture of her and her yowapedal buds though!!

I also got to see a lot of artists from AVcon and other buddies, I mean, I practically ended up stalking Lightning Strikes to see her as Tenka, and I spent the majority of my money on art and figures ;u; I wish I’d bought the prints I was 50/50 on now, since I doubt some of them will be back next year.

And then, that night happened. I was dead tired after fucking about, being all loud and excited n shit, but we all went out for dinner, and that’s when whatever I’d caught that day started to sink in oTL My throat was burning come that night, and I barely slept.

The next morning I was so nauseous I was considering not even going to the con, but I eventually pulled myself together enough to get into my Kenma gear and get over there w/ my Bokuto. My voice was wrecked, my throat super uncomfortable, and my stomach so indecisive that I wasn’t sure if I could eat without being sick in the end I didn’t eat at all that day except for a soft-serve from maccas and a cuppa soup in my friend’s hotel room later that night :’III.

I felt so bad for people who came up to me bc I didn’t feel up for talking and I was super self-conscious over if I was coming off as uninterested. I ended up cutting the day short and heading back, waving off that night’s dinner at hooters and sleeping for quite a while.

Thank god I didn’t feel nauseous today though, or I would have died on the plane, but I did develop an absolutely awful headache. It’s still with me now, and my throat still canes. My blood pressure also decided to start appearing later in the day when we were exploring, since I hadn’t eaten and it was so warm with the nice Sydney weather and my fever. Siiighhh.

I wish I hadn’t been so sick and delirious though, as today in the city, we ran into Reika at the gelato bar! I was p.chuffed bc I missed her all weekend, but ended up seeing her outside of the con. I didn’t even try asking my friend to ask Reika to take a photo w/ me, bc I didn’t want Reika to catch whatever I have oTL other friends in the group were visually more excited tho and got a selfie.

All in all though, even with getting sick, just from the Saturday, this was the most fun I’ve had at a con in years. I’m probably definitely gonna go again next year, and I’ll probably actually plan something new instead of picking out old cosplays bc money :’000
