Ah, man... Sorry for your loss. My dog passed away two years ago.

I'd like to tell the story of how I got her: I was 10 when the neighbors dog went missing (she did that sometimes, jumped over the fence and I'd take my bike and go look for her together with my neighbor). We didn't find her, but she came back after three days. Shiva was a Labrador and from the cubs she had, we did an IQ 200 and guessed that she'd fancied the Golden Retriever from a few blocks away (real cutie pie).

It was a litter of 12 (a lot!!!) and 9 survived. I knew them since they were six hours old (my neighbor called me over in the morning before school) and watched them grow up. I often played with them after school.

When it was time to 'select' mine, I entered the box like always. They had gotten coloured tags that day, so in my mind, they were suddenly individuals rather than a giant horde of cuteness. Of the 9 pups, 8 came to greet me and 1 stayed in the corner, watching me and wagging her tail. For me it was like she was telling me 'We both know you'll choose me', (in retrospect, she was a shy dog and just didn't like engaging head-on before assessing the situation).

She was a menace sometimes, but also very sweet most other times. I'd sit on the floor with her every day, pet her and tell her about my day.

She liked swimming in the river, but hated getting a shower. When she got older she buried herself cooking spots between flower bushes in our garden. Her favorite spots were under the stairs (cool), under the terrace (also cool, but with the chance of food falling down) or at the neighbors fence (different neighbor, but they fed her snacks sometimes).

I love her more than anything and she showed me how beautiful and interesting the world can be. I'll always be grateful for that.

Ginger sounds sweet! And my god, I've never heard of a litter of 12 before!

I can definitely relate to "menace sometimes, sweet most other times." My cat Star, whom I lost a few days ago, could be a real jerk when she wanted to be, but she was overall a sweet, gentle kitty.

We only have our pets for such a small portion of our lives, but they leave such a mark on us.

And of course I'd love to see a picture of Ginger. I bet she was a beauty.

From Late Nights for example. Somewhere there was a statement about Law feeling uneasy on the sunny, and displaying this by sleeping outside, etc.

And that's why Robin gives him some safe spaces on the Sunny, makes him feel comfortable, etc.

Only when re-reading the post-Punk Hazard chapters, I noticed the panel of him sleeping outside. Then I went back and re-read your ff. And then I re-re-read the chapter.

It's these little details you build into your ffs that does it for me.

Thought about Star today, so I'm back with another ask.

I'm not on top of the game with your OCs, sorry if you already wrote about this, but how did Casey and Mason meet? Does Mason know/ like/ tolerate Casey's siblings?

Do you like drawing/ writing about your OCs (like intentionally sitting down to explore their world) or is it more like 'I have to get this out of my system'?

And thank you for asking about my OCs! It makes me happy to know more than three other people (that aren't me) might want to know about them lol.

In canon verses, Casey and Mason met when Casey's family moved. They moved after Casey's elderly friend/mentor figure Esperanza was arrested for her past life as a pirate, and ended up on Mason's island just outside of the New World. Casey and Mason bonded over being the same age and being new to the island. (Mason was adopted by his grandmother because of a bad family life, and moved with her to her island.)

Mason is well acquainted with Casey's siblings, Braden and Juno. The boys were inseparable once they became friends, and Mason and his grandmother are treated like family. He's closest with Casey for obvious reasons, but he really cares for Juno and Braden.

I like to write about my OCs. I think about them often, but don't say as much on here because I don't think most of my followers want to know much about them since they followed me for One Piece content. Sometimes I feel like I'm on thin ice when talking about Casey in relation to his love interests, Zoro and Sanji. 😅

I definitely feel a little freer to talk about them in my fics Can't Live Like This and Rebuild, within reason, because at least in those fics you know you're going to get some OC content.

Link click yapper here sorry but Im dying to know how many lasts/first did CXS forget/never got to experience again. Like I think that CXS did off himself in the flashback LG has when he got shot so I wonder what changed in that timeline for the ending to change (although the results were the same)

Oohhh so like what differences there was in this timeline from the last? The things CXS experienced the last time around that he won’t be able to experience in the current timeline for the sake of keeping him alive?

(I am in pain. Also note that plot theories are slightly out of my area of expertise - character and theme analysis - but I’ll try my best!)

Okay so this is partially inspired by @snowpoet123’s amazing fic - three time’s the charm - so I think that CXS doesn’t get to experience becoming close with Lu Guang in this timeline, and there MUST be some things he missed there. Not to say that Lu Guang and CXS aren’t as close in the current timeline because they are close in literally every timeline and every medium they are so queer for each other afjaskdfjasd. (I have a whole essay on the trust between them /exaggeration but not by much). So I imagine that CXS would miss a lot of those ‘firsts’ with Lu Guang like… idk what do normal freinds do… okay nevermind what would these two nuerodivergent sillies do… I imagine they would play a lot of basketball and just hang out before and after a lot before they did the whole ‘moving in together and being business partners thing’ (apologies for my pandering the headache is headaching today).

Like in the current timeline he ‘miraculously appeared in their lives’. So I imagine there would be lots of little misadventures - similar to the chibi shorts - before they trusted each other to such a degree. Paticularly in college and such… and I’ll have to see the yingdu arc to be sure but… hmm I imainge tihngs would be different there as well. And I don’t think it’s needs to be dramatic at all, like it would be wonderous if their first tiem around they are just.. there for each other.

I saw this one headcannon where CXS would speak for Lu Guang if Lu Guang didn’t know what to say (in social situations). And I think it would go both ways tbh. With Lu GUang doing things for CXS if CXS is upset (similar to post-ep 5)

… I feel like I’m not answering this right. mmm i’ll come back to this and add more thoughts… after I nap.

OKay what changed for the timeline to change -

If one goes with the ‘Lu Guang didn’t have powers in the first timeline and CXS passed them to Lu Guang when he died in Lu Guang’s arms (very queer of him)’ theory, then they wouldn’t have had their time travel business in the first timeline. Perhaps CXS went on his own through photos, and one can theorize whether he went back in time for the same purpose of getting information from the photos… because a part of me is like: ‘what if he tried to find his parents?’

But considering that CXS brought up the idea of the time travel business to Lu Guang, one can assume he came up with the idea first… and after sleeping my brain still isn’t working sooo I might come back to this.

But perhaps the time travel business originally was CXS diving into photos on his own, Qiao Ling getting clients, and CXS is still becoming friends with Lu Guang.

Without Lu Guang’s guidance, I do imagine CXS might mess around in time, and wouldn’t know the parameters of what can and can’t happen. ANd perhaps because he went back into time on his own, could not tell anyone and didn’t have much support for how emotionally draining the photos are…. perhaps then he dethatched from the world (See CXS post s1ep5) and did off himself because of that.

Lu Guang is horrified because at this point they’ve gotten very close, and he goes back in time to save him. Ta da ta da!

Working on mockup covers

FOr just a small ebook. Not for the entire thing in general. But It's good practice I thikn.

Now see perferabbly I would take new pictures of ANuli. But I do not have a phone and I'm wary of borrowing one because my parents yelled at me about lotff yesterday. There has been threats to limit/take away all lotff things so I hid Anuli and everything in the closet.

So just the photos I have on hand for now. 😅

... I have no idea how I'll polish these/make final versions but we'll try!

You can tell which arts are before ANuli lost faer leaves. ANd I lost the fragments I tore off so... yea anywho Anuli has broken leaves on one side.

"Draw your mood in this chart" Anuli gets sudden bursts of happiness and overall the constant guilt isn't treating faer well. Kamari refuses to acknowledge how bad being the High Protector is. And Ankh does know shit about feelings.

Anuli's pondering, and has gotten very comfortable with the idea of trying to get faerself as upset as possible.

Names. (Kamari means moon.) Alsoo nooo I don't know how languages work here. Ankh just means 'eye' so like... IDK what to tell you.

Ignore how Sitara's design looks a lot like Aisfa... I'm going to change Aisfa's design a bit.

Anywho so Sitara hangs around Anuli for another reason that I couldn't draw that well.

The siblings. (There is a height difference... I just didn't draw that. ANuli's a lot smaller than most dryads... although no one knows faer age and everyone ages differently.)

Kamari didn't think faerself one to hold grudges. Fae doesn't usually.

sobbing and crying. The only expressions I know how to do.

About the height difference of faries. Techincally if you go by trees then Ankh is a lot taller than Kamari... but techincally trees are terms for tree like things that are wildly different and at some point the fact that they are all bipedal makes no sense anyways. So... suspend your disbelief? I did at one point try to design bird-like and four-legged dryads and ended up drawing what was easiest for me. I went crazy trying to get everything scientifically accurate soooo theyyy'reee nooot. The tree society is accurate and that's about it.

Ehhhh I'm not that good at drawing anything but floating heads (and I only know how to draw arms when they're bent). But here's Kamari!

(And so all sorts of dryads will have all sorts of different body types and proportions and suchh... so basically I'm giving myself lotsss of creative liberty here)
