been struggling with the "difference" between manifestations happening more "naturally" (like hair growth and height) versus just shifting/void state/waking up and having the things i want and i just had to audibly snap myself out of this cycle of doubting myself agAin, by saying "it doesnt MATTER how i get there. all that matters is that i Will. and i Know i Will. and worrying/wondering/debating about the How — even if its 'different' than how, say, non-shifters worry about the how — is not going to do me any good. i Will get it. it doesnt Matter How." (ESPECIALLY BC I ALREADY HAVE IT!!!)

father hans you are the best worst old man to me (yes more than old jochen). i love how the game tries to give him some depth without shying away from his actions
heavy discussion of the apostasy route ahead
so, yeah, he's very zealous in his religious beliefs.
but despite (or maybe because of) his strong convictions, he cares a lot for kieferberg, even if only out of moral obligation:
i mean, he has the decency to feel a little guilty about the supernatural terrors he puts the town through:
that very religious zeal, unfortunately, also makes him willing to have any of kieferberg's residents burnt at the stake for the sake of the town's "salvation". ironic, then, that in the same letter that he condemns walpurga's followers he starts with this:
his well-meaning, yet extremist religiosity is also apparent in his relationship with elise. even with the clear animosity on both sides, he was genuinely concerned for elise's soul after learning about how holle had her in the first place:
...as that concern later turns into condemnation:
yet he doesn't even word it as something he looks forward to either. just something unfortunate that needs to be done.
the way he tries to keep the peace throughout the game and is actually one of the more vocally skeptical among the townsfolk (even if part of that is to diffuse suspicion towards his own experiments) is also interesting considering how his religious beliefs enable him to do genuinely terrible things. like he believes that his god has no problems with him burning people alive but also he wants to be absolutely sure that there's an actual witch to burn in the first place. he is simultaneously the personification of everything wrong with kieferberg and one of the few (aside from gustav, leb, and freya) who are barely keeping the village together

Whenever the topic of "toxic individualism" is brought up, I think it's going to be about society's rabid egotism, but it's "I think it's toxic people won't let me drain them to death."
Thank God for the West's bodily Freedom and Individualism. I'd rather kill myself than be in a community with beasts and his lovers which is why third world countries are karmic failures. Communities exist to find a sex partner. If you want to get anything meaningful done, you have to do it alone. Males are anti-individualism because they want to fuck and women want a free babysitter.
What gets me is when people are like “you've never done anything by yourself anyways” ...then what's the problem?
Life's so much better when you rely on God only. No more fickleness, betrayal, envy, fear, meanness, fakeness, psychopathy etc. Relying on egos is completely unnatural, but egos like the drama so enjoy lol. If humans were social creatures, the social struggle wouldn't be this significant (struggle with what? oh you know: lesphobia, innocence-hating, anti-Reality, a big motherfucking etc). The day you're screwed over hard enough is the day you will stop idolizing egos and you will finally have the motivation needed to seek the truth that humans are actually wired to connect with God which is why we are souls. Anything else is dogma so animals can guilt you into letting them steal your life.
Humans actually fucking despise each other and The Distraction is trying to make people get along when it's not possible. When you have wants and needs, you become a rapist of all sorts; raping minds, bodies, emotions, time, kindness, happiness, sympathy. People without wants and needs are highly sought after because parasites can take and take, but people who are sane and sober don't want to be around them. This is what this debate is all about and why complainers don't want to be with each other.
Egotism has already created a dystopia that has been going strong since egos became the majority of the population. Egos come up with ideas of the way things "should be" instead of looking at the reality of what is actually happening right Now which would explain why people are weary.

Don't you guys think it's fucked up when Fiona starts dating and sleeping out of the house, leaving Debbie, Carl and Liam kind of for themselves?
Once she started dating Mike she would sleep at his place sometimes which I think it's okay, she was paying the bills and would leave dinner ready and communicate Debs and she was still looking out for them, they had health care and she took them to the clinic and all that. She needs to take care of her, live a life, sleep at her boyfriend sometimes, that's fine and healthy. But then she marry Gus and is often out of there, get together with Sean and doesn't even know what's going on with them anymore (aka "why there's nothing to eat in the fridge" "cause no one is doing the shopping" dialogue with Debbie, not knowing when it's their first day at school, letting Sammy move in and run things after her trailer got fucked by Frank), and then she gets her apartment and moves out completely and like, okay, Ian was a EMT, Lip is a mechanic already I think, she did said she wasn't going to support Debbie after her pregnancy (fucked me thinks), Carl's at military school, but Liam is still a kid! And Debs and Carl are still underage! And they are her responsibility.
It just doesn't sit right with me that Liam didn't at least moved with her.
Specifically Fiona defenders, I would love to hear more about it.

Okay so, I don't want to give spoilers in this post so this will all be somewhat vague, but I do want to say that there's another part to the Vault of the Roots after the bundles where the player's actions and dialogue are a lot more.. important and meaningful to the story. If anyone felt that this vault's story left a little to be desired, then definitely try the next part! Like I said, this next part gets started after you finish all four bundles (which isn't too hard or time consuming for this one), and like trust me, it's so much more emotionally and narratively satisfying than the first part is.
(Small spoiler in below paragraph for the first part of the quest!)
I don't want to hype it up too much, but it does handle the player's actions, thoughts, and agency a lot better than the first part. I haven't actually finished it yet so I'm not sure how the ending will be, but honestly, I think it'll be good. I think this next part will be especially more gratifying for players who weren't able to convince The Gardener (aka Hekla was the one to change his mind) since our actions and dialogue in this section directly help him in a much bigger way.

tell me why we are shipping marchment and seguin again. i'm ready to board
ahaha helloo
because theyre hot! because theyre lineys! because they are both puppies who play well together and because they have deliciously contrasting backgrounds in hockey. here are some things ig!
mush didn't start playing junior hockey until he was 19 and was never drafted. tyler, on the other hand, played since he was tiny and was pretty much always destined for it, going 2nd overall in the draft
mush has one sibling, an older sister. tyler has two sisters. this is cute to me!
they train together during the offseason in toronto at a gym with matt nichol
on july 6th of last year, mason's dad died suddenly. one week later, on july 13th he was traded to the stars. what an extremely tumultuous time for him. im so glad he has fit in so seamlessly with our group
since training camp, the two have been close
we know that tyler has a history with enjoying big, feisty, dark-haired wingers. mason is 6'4 and has the most penalty minutes on the team
mush recently ended a 32-game scoreless drought. by the end of it, it was clear he was very frustrated, and tyler was so invested in his scoring that he would look to him during a celly for confirmation that he'd gotten a tip and also gave up a shot at a hatty trying to help mush score. when mush finally did score, tyler was Ecstatic
a few very good moments: fooling around after practice together and tyler pretending to interview mush with his drink and mush worried after tyler was cut badly in a recent game
my 2791 tag has more w them
also, in the last week they have both gone out with left knee injuries. terrible! fated!
