I even had the luck to not only get Zhongli on my first pull, but also Neuvillette as well. Though I my lucked ended when I tried for another Zhongli. All I got was a surprised Jean, which I'm fine with.

hi!! it's the confession blog anon! since you showed interest in the au here's stuff relating to it!

Okay for the infection au: a main thing about the infection is that its kickstarted by the game in order to get the trolls (it originates with the trolls) to play the game

also aradia (her body after vriska kills her) is technically patient zero within the au!

the type of pathogen with the infection are prions, meaning that it can be spread through body fluids, meaning if any food or water is contaminated the ones consuming it are fucked

the infection has 6 stages

stage 1 : the body should be fine, except injuries will start to not heal and blood won't clot, a light fever kicks in while hunger begins to decrease in the infected individual

stage 2: rapid decrease in hunger (alongside major weight loss), horns, nails, and skin become thinner and more brittle, rashes begin to show around the face and arms, due to the symptoms the infected start to experience insomnia

(stages 1 and 2 are around a week apart)

stage 3 (another week after stage 2) : insomnia induced hallucinations, hunger comes back rapidly, increase in violent urges, horns may fall off, any rashes/wounds begin to fill with puss

stage 4 (around 3 days at most since stage 3) : frequent vomiting, hunger is unbearable, spike in fever, only living flesh satisfies hunger, no sleep at all, nerves begin to shut down

stage 5 : brain begins to die from lack of oxygen (and overheating), if not eating other trolls the infected will eat its lusus

stage 6: bones begin to break down and be like jelly, very close to being a walking rotting corpse, wildlife and plants begin to take over the body

also some extra stuff about it: an idea I have is making karkat immune to the infection because he's a mutant and all

also, despite using the game to escape the infection, they've unknowingly brought it with them (gamzee has it)

mind control can only really be done until stage 3, the brain is too overheated to really control past stage 3

The infection can also spread to humans, and its half the reason why humanity is practically extinct in the alpha kid's universe (the time dirk and roxy are in)

it can be escaped through godtiering/dream selves if there's any left!! though if there's no dreamselves left, with godtiering there's only a certain timeframe to do it

THAT SOUNDS SO UTTERLY AWESOME!!!!!! Do you have any list of the infections in order? Because that would be SPECTACULAR AAAHHH!!! I absolutely love the creativity with the symptoms, and the last phase where nature covers the trolls sounds actually quite cool. I would LOVE to draw this!!!
