you never knew what came over you when you were upset, ready to push away anything and anyone, at the expense of your own happiness.

you knew you didn't want to be alone, you knew you wanted someone to be there for you, comforting you, taking care of you.

but you couldn't help but push everyone away, just to see if they would see through you, if they could see through the cold front you put up, just to see if they would stay, even when you asked them to leave.

"'m fine..." you muttered, your eyes glossy as you avoided his, steve was gentle with how he treated you, sat next to you as his knees softly brushed against yours, his hand comfortingly placed on your thighs for reassurance.

he shook his head, he didn't believe you, he knew something was wrong, he knew something had upset you, and he wasn't going to leave until he was sure everything was okay.

he studied your face, taking all of your features in, his mind fuzzy with how beautiful you were, and worry took over him as he saw how your face soured and fell, he wanted to be there for you.

"you don't look fine, sweetheart." his voice was dipped in honey, ever so sweet and the nickname was enough to have your heart pounding out of your chest, but you didn't want him to see you like this, you didn't want to break down in front of him.

"you don't have to worry about it." your voice was cold, tone barely audible, but steve didn't mind.

and you hated that he didn't mind it, you didn't want to hurt him, you didn't want to ruin him with your own fucked up mind, you had a lot of bad days and you never wanted to drag him down with you, he deserved better than that, he didn't deserve to be sucked up in your own darkness.

"honey..." his hand was quick to caress your cheeks, "are you kidding me?" his tone was mellow as his finger tips gently grazed against your chin, lifting up to make you face him.

his dreamy eyes met your glossy ones, his brows furrowed with worry as he saw your bottom lip jutting out, smudged mascara and your puffy nose giving you away.

his heart ached at the sight of you, he wanted to help you, make you feel seen, take care of you.

"i will always worry about you, sweetheart." you winced when he said that, even though his words were warming your heart, you didn't want him to go through your pain.

"i don't want you to." your tone was avoidant, your eyes were anything but, you were wishing he could pick up on it, wishing he could see how hurt you were, but the words that escaped your lips wanted to push him away.

"can't you just..." you tried to stop your words, you knew the last thing you wanted was for him to leave, you wanted him to stay more than anything, but you didn't know how to ask for help.

"can't you just leave." you faced away from him, harshly, and steve's stomach twisted with how you were acting, he knew you didn't mean it, he knew you needed him, he saw right through you, even though you didn't realize it.

you expected him to leave you, you expected him to sigh at your stand off-ish attitude, leaving you all alone.

what you didn't expect was, "no." leaving steve's pouty lips as he shook his head at you. "i'm not leaving you alone, not until you're okay." his gaze was sympathetic, his tone soft and hands squeezing yours in a comforting manner.

"i'll be silent if you need me to, but i'm not leaving you alone, you're trying to push me away, but i won't let you, not until i know you are okay." his brows furrowed in worry again, not blinking as he observed you.

you couldn't help the small smile your lips twitched into, beaming at the fact that steve had chosen to stay, that steve didn't leave you alone. he saw you.

you couldn't help the sobs that escaped your lips, so raw and gut-wrenching that steve immediately wrapped his arms around you, his heart aching with sympathy as he engulfed you with his warmth.

you embraced him, and you let him take care of you, "thank you, stevie." you murmured into his chest between your sobs, he understood you in a way no one could.

"anything for you, honey." his touch was tender as he pressed kisses into your hair, telling you everything he loved about you as he murmured affections into your hair.

A graysexual feedist?

Yes, asexuality is a spectrum, and in truth I think i reside more on the lines of graysexual. For some, asexuality means not being sexual whatsoever. For others, like me, you can still experience stuff like arousel, without the need for sex itself. I personally am put off by sex organs of all kinds. Sex itself is physically pleasurable, but conceptually does nothing for me. Tldr, I only get off by interacting with feedism dynamics.

hakuno and a muse working together for something- a relationship founded on ??? like, they just happen to meet and their goals just somewhat aligned so they're sticking together for practical reasons or just circumstances!! will they get to know each other better and come out of it with a good experience? will they butt heads but decide to bear with it until their respective goals are accomplished? idk but something about it intrigues me! i'm really interested in having like a whole storyline happen tbh 🥺 it'd be fun to see how much the relationship changes at the end of things y'know!

i'm gonna need more antagonistic dynamics too tbh.... she is absolutely going to be as polite and nice as she is to any other person because c'mon... it's Hakuno. but! i feel like there's a biiig sense of distance that comes with having this sort of dynamic with her. as we have seen in canon for example, hakuno's really frikkin aware of their status as enemies with other character- she's always saying stuff like "even though we're enemies?" and not understanding why'd be nice to her when she's their enemy... stuff like that!! i mean, enemies to friends or enemies to lovers is def not out of the question ((ФωФ)✨️ ...) but it'd be so fun to see the development!! which i guess is the appeal of those dynamics in da first place !

i love character development ofc but i have always been thinking about- how about reverse character development ?! 😳 hakuno is a suuper interesting character to me because- well, it's like a white sheet of paper! it's blank! i feel like there are soo many directions her character could go and i think it'd be so fun to explore! characters who bring out the worst in each other maybe?? enable each others' bad habits?? and oh boy it'd hurt so much on hakuno's part because she wants to be better and is always wanting the best for others so like (: IT COULD BE FUN METHINKS..!

letter writing threads!! i feel like you can tell a lot about a muse by the kind of letter they write 👁👁✨️ having hakuno write down her thoughts and feelings into paper just sounds super interesting to okok- i'd imagine her letters sounding more like very formal reports tbh 💀 but i think it could be so fun and a really neat way to really get the Insight(TM) on da muse!

speaking of the letter writing tho- something related to arts and humanities! drawing? music? writing? sculpting? dance? anything and everything creative pls. hakuno's way of thinking is very logical so i think she struggles with understanding things that don't really have a solid factual answer, but that's also what makes it so interesting! art can really touch people's hearts too and that's the kind of thing hakuno needs desperately 🥹 even if she can't fully understand it right now ! your muse showing hakuno their creations maybe?? bonus points if their works say a lot about them as a person or means a lot of them!

i'm a sucker for childhood friends so i want that for hakuno too 🤧✨️ !! it doesn't have to be friends in specific tho- i just think there's something special about knowing someone when they were younger :thonk: kids tend to be more honest i guess? and i mean hakuno still is, but for better or worse, the hakuno we now know keeps the "bad" parts of herself hidden away while actively trying to be the person other people need – a younger hakuno wouldn't have that mindset yet methinks! BUT YEA BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING 😳😳 it's fun to see how that could affect the dynamic especially when they meet later on!

OH AND immortal & mortal is a staple! hakuno could work as both tho... it rlly depends on the verse because her mortality is Weird(TM) actually- but i still think both concepts would be very fun!! >:3c with her as a mortal, it'd be Neat for her to want to be remembered because that's asking for a lot when her entire life is probably like a mere blink in the eyes of an immortal </3 and with her as an immortal, i just like the idea of her finding happiness after possibly years and years of loneliness but also being aware that happiness is very much temporary </3
