okay so I bought the acotar series (before I knew the author was a freak and I’d already thrown away the receipt PLS DONT CRUCIFY ME) and I’m almost done with the second book and the series is good yes Rhys supremacy did I cry during chapter 54 yeah what the fuck about it I didn’t get it before but I get it now y’all know I love a sarcastic morally grey asshole I eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner!! “there you are, I’ve been looking for you” I get it now!!!!!!

HOWEVER!!! the way everyone was claiming these books were like the end all be all of literature…..like yes they’re good but they’re not earth-shattering, there’s a lot of parts that are….💀 like i’ve found myself making faces so often bc some things are just so….weird

like the whole animalistic mating trope has always been kinda eh to me especially when it’s overly dramatic like him getting into a fist fight with his best friend for an hour bc the mating bond thing makes him insane was so……grow up maybe?? 😭 IDK IT JUST GIVES ME THE ICK like I get the idea of it I understand what the appeal should be but for me it’s Too Much!!

Kurt Kunkle x reader

You smiled as you traced your hand softly up and down your boyfriends cheek, leaning up on your elbow as you waited for him to wake up.

This would be Kurts first birthday with you, and you really wanted to make it special. Kurt deserved to feel special, today of all days. You knew that’s something he wanted.

You also knew his parents probably wouldn’t do much on the day. So apart from visiting his mom like she’d called about last night until Kurt promised he was coming, a little sulkily over the phone, to pick up a present, you’d have the whole day with him. You knew she’d gotten him one thing at least. Nothing big, but you were glad she at least seemed to remember it was her sons birthday. You thought even Kris might drop something off, since Kurt said he was doing okay at the moment, with his career and stuff. Mostly, Kurt just wanted to spend the day with you. You were so glad he felt brave enough to just tell you that straight out. Of course, it was what you wanted too!

As Kurt dozed, looking so peaceful and cute like he always did when he was asleep, you couldn’t help but lean forward and start kissing the side of his face. Very lightly, although apparently it was too gentle, because suddenly you had a hand clumsily slapping your face, and Kurt was waking up with a startle.

“Ow.” You simply stated. And Kurt, who now realised there weren’t spiders all over him, and saw you holding your nose, apologised with his raspy morning voice. Eyes closing again, but leaning up slightly to kiss your face better, poorly aimed, but still hitting. He fell back onto his pillow, but his arm reached out for you, wrapping around your waist and pulling you in closer for a cuddle. Since the blankets had been tussled down and he was shirtless, he could do with your warmth too, as his other arm rubbed blearily at his face.

“Kurrrrt?” You sang, not laying down on his chest like he was probably holding you for, instead kissing more at his cheek, properly now he was awake.

“Hmm?” Kurt responded, blinking open his eyes before smacking his lips. Managing to angle his cheek and lean in to your kisses, but still having trouble getting his eyes to stay open.

“Happy Birthday sweetheart!”

Now Kurt could open them. Rolling onto his side to face you, his hand still on your waist, rubbing it. Slowly his face began to crack into a smile. “Aw... thanks baby. You ‘membered?” He asked tiredly, his hand reaching up to caress at your face now, as yours played at the top of his chest.

“Course I did! And how old are you turning today?”

Kurt started to look downtrodden. His smile falling right as his eyes did from your own. His hands gently tugging at the loose strings on your hair while he fiddled. “You don’t know?”

Not very good of you. You shouldn’t be rhetorical and try and confuse Kurt with social cues, today of all days (even though you weren’t actually trying). Especially when he was still so sleepy. You at least wanted him to have one birthday without disappointment.

“Of course I do silly!” You said astonished, cupping both his cheeks in a good hold in your hands, feeling his cheeks raise with a smile before you pulled him in for a quick peck. “I just need you to help keep count, so I can give you a kiss for every year.”

You started plastering him with kisses. At first all over his face, but moving over his neck, his shoulders, his chest. As you grabbed his hands, you started lacing them up his arms too. Kurt was giggling as soon as you began. His voice rasping out the first few giggles nearly silently, until he started to wake up more from the constant affection, and was properly giggling in your hold now. Turning closer to you and grabbing the back of your shirt, he laughed more because you were tickling him with your kisses. Scrunching his face and body up, but fighting himself from leaning away from your onslaught of kisses. He was super ticklish, very sensitive. Which you loved about him.

You pulled back with one loud smack to the butt of his chin, as your eyes shone. “In fact. I think today I should just kiss you all over, every inch. You know, as a birthday treat.” You ‘proposed’, although you knew it wouldn’t take any convincing.

Kurt wriggled even closer to you, if he could, your arms squished into his warm chest as he nodded eagerly, mouth hanging open and eyes droopy, but wild with love, as he looked to your lips, fanatic at this idea. “I- I think you should kiss me for every day how- every day old I am!”

“Awesome idea.” You enthused back, squishing lots of kisses directly on his nose, that Kurt only head butted you for more of. “I promise to kiss you all over, until your legs die.” You swore, pressing a kiss to his bare shoulder, while Kurt was currently butting his head into your shoulder like a cat. “Then, when we need to get ‘em working again, we can get up and I can show you the presents I got you!”

Kurt lifts his head up now, eyes winking from being all crinkled, as he smiles sweetly up at you. “Really?”

“Mmhm!” You’re getting excited, ready to tell him all about your agenda, and seeing him glow under the knowledge of the love and effort you’ve put in, just to celebrate Kurt. “We have a lot planned for today!”

Kurt’s smile dimmed a little. It was still there, but the way Kurt slowly moved up, how his hand cupped your cheek, while the other settled on your own, the way his deep brown eyes were peering into yours, he was being more serious now. Kurt’s hand shook your cheek a little, and he moved his face in closer, his heart beating steadily under his chest. “I love you. So much.”

And Kurt meant it. Every single ounce. He loves you more than anything, and anyone, in this whole world. He felt it in his heart, his throat, his stomach, under his skin, even his mind, it was the only thing Kurt was sure of. He was so lucky to have you, and he couldn’t believe you loved him, that you’d want to do all this, for him. Just to make him feel... special. Feel loved.

“I love you too.” You promised. Just as faithful an oath as Kurt had made. And you smiled as Kurt leaned forward, and gave you a proper kiss finally. You laughed at the way he was giggling into your mouth, your hands sunk into his lovely hair that you were going to wash for him, giving him a bath he could relax in later on. Kurt’s own arms were slung affectionately around your neck. His lips kissed against yours, taking you in as he lovingly but sweetly, kissed you with all the genuine heartfelt joy he was feeling right now. That you’d made him feel.

When he eventually pulled away, you let him be cheeky, as you saw the mischievous glint in his eyes, and only guffawed at him as he leaned forward to lick a stripe over the corner of your lips. Dabbing it away, but giving him an apology kiss when he playfully awed at you for it.

Kurt braced his hand on your knee, eyes lit up and that energy finally sinking into his body for today. “Bed later. Presents and breakfast now.”

Kurt definitely wanted to cuddle with you, and have you kiss him all over, and get lots of sweet birthday sex, but he was really excited at the prospect of presents. Also, a special breakfast.

“Done deal, birthday boy.” You placed your hand on top of his affirmatively, and you didn’t miss the way he got all excited whenever you mentioned that fact. “I actually have breakfast all planned out.” You stuck your tongue between your teeth excitedly, and you found yourself gasping between laughs as Kurt threw himself on top of your body. Nowhere to escape as your legs became numb, caught under Kurts hips from his sudden attack. And your cheeks hurt from smiling, as Kurt let his hands roam free to spread his love, and he kissed all over you. Very affectionately. with no rhyme, or precision, just lathering on his very energetic love now.

Until finally, minutes later, Kurt eventually calmed down a little. Probably at the prospect of remembering your plans, and he sat up, stroking your back with a pleased hum as he let you breathe.

After you were okay again, you grabbed his hand to help him out of bed, and started dragging him to the front room you’d already decorated last night for Kurt’s birthday, when he’d gone to your room a little earlier.

And for once, Kurt found himself actually excited for his day.

I remember the day I was moving from the gay suburbs of melb (where EVERYONE is extreme leftist, as am I) to move closer to my job at the time and I gave away a shelf on fb marketplace to some averagely woke awkward ass lowkey pretentious most likely well off white dude probs in his early 40s and when he asked me where I was moving to, I told him I was moving to a particular rich ass suburb in the inner east he was like EW WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT ARE U GONNA SWITCH TO VOTING LIBERALS NOW OR SOMETHING (fyi liberals in australia does not mean liberal, it is the centre-right-leaning party, whereas labour is centre-left (but not that leftist rlly) and those are the two major parties then we have heaps of other parties which take more extreme views on each side that never get voted in) anyway I remember at the time I just gave him the most awkwardly blunt “haha what” thinking wow that’s so rude and not woke of him to say, they could never change me. anyways 4yrs later im still here and just watched a trump interview intentionally so maybe he was right. (NOT EVEN AUSTRALIAN for a start) and not even hating it. I found a little empathy for the guy (ok so now u hate me) JUST KIDDING(kinda) I hate it, the bad still outweighs the good. they could never change me. but I’m just intrigued sometimes bc I feel bad for America bc there’s not really any good options and I try not to think ab the trickle down alliance impact or get depressed(stay delusional queens). at least both us don’t got a monarchy! woo! Are you optimistic about season 26?

erm um… no?? 🥲

Season 25 and Streaming Wars had their moments, but overall the delivery of ideas felt lackluster. Much like the last 2 years, I expect a running theme. Essentially, the season won’t really be a season per se, but acts as narrative buildup interspersed with side episodes—though they will loosely connect to the season—leading up to the 2 specials airing later this year. It’s a solid game plan on paper, but s25/SW was super dodgy. I feel the saving grace was Tolkien’s renaming, and Cartman’s whole hot dog arc thing that just got set up. I know Randy was given competition (finally! the little resistance and pushback to his hijinks has done serious damage to his character) but really the biggest takeaway I’ve seen from fans/merch is stuff from Cartman’s arc. (cartitties).

However, I feel Matt and Trey have been revitalized by the concert, Casa Bonita’s opening, and their deepfake deal. It’s a double edged sword though, because now Mattrey are juggling the opening of a restaurant, production for the video game, their deepfake studio… I’m worried their attention will be divided and affect the quality of the story this season.

TLDR: Very mixed feelings, though not quite approaching cautiously optimistic… I expect the fresher ideas (HotDog) to get sidelined and Randy will remain in focus.
