Hey new (and old?) followers. If you haven't bought my game before then you're missing out. I got bills to pay and I'm not part of one of the 12 old guys in the UK who own all of our money.
Ironmouse: Part of the reason why I love this server so much is because everybody's so nice. Everyone! Like, every single person is super nice! And it's like- it's like, genuine nice, it's not like fake niceness. [...] I've literally talked to almost everybody at least once like outside of the QSMP. We've talked on Discord, people regularly check in on me, we get in group chats and we play games like outside of the server... You don't really find that sort of connection all the time with people.
Ironmouse recently talked about her experience on QSMP, and how kind all the members are. I'm posting the entire conversation instead of cutting it up like I usually would because I really enjoyed hearing her thoughts on the server.

Ironmouse: Honestly, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I did. He's so nice, he's so- he's always been super nice to me. He's been so nice, I– part of the reason why I- I love this server so much is because everybody's so nice. Everyone! Like, every single person is super nice! And it's like- it's like, genuine nice, it's not like fake niceness. You know how sometimes like– you always hear like, "Oh yeah, you know–" when–
Ironmouse: Whenever you like, join like a new thing, right? Whenever you like join like a new thing, you always worry, 'cuz you always think: "Oh, are the people gonna like me? Are they gonna be nice to me? What if- What if- you know, what if this, what if that?" But everybody like genuinely was nice when I first came by, and everybody has been so nice to me– not just in the game, but outside of the game, and–
Ironmouse: Something special about the QSMP is like... People wanna be your friend like outside of the game? Like, I've literally talked to ev– almost– almost everybody at least once like outside of the QSMP, like... We've talked on Discord, people like regularly check in on me, and like we get in group chats and like we- we play games like outside of the server, and it's just like... You don't really find that sort of connection all the time with people? You know what I mean? It's very– it's very not common when you go on like, a content creator-like server or stuff like that, you know? You'll get like one or two people that you get close to and stuff, but like... Everybody is SO nice, and everybody's been so nice to me, and I can't tell you how many people like, wished me– not just like wished me happy birthday, or like wished- said, "Oh, you know, hap- Merry Christmas!" dadadada, it's like genuinely like... Asked how I'm doing, and like talk to me, and like... Just like– I dunno, it's just like so- so- it's so wonderful.
Ironmouse: Like, I get that with VShojo a lot, like– we're all like besties, and we all like talk all the time, but I feel like it's different, 'cuz like VShojo– we're VShojo, we're like– we're our own group, but this is like... You know... You don't expect this sorta thing when you get invited to like be on some- be a part of something, you know? And it's- and it's been so– it's been so wonderful and everybody's been so GENUINELY nice to me, and I- I appreciate everybody on the server so much, and they're just some of the nicest people that I've ever met ever, and it's just–
Ironmouse: It just warms my heart, and I'm just really– really like, thankful to be a part of something so great, and something so positive! Because like, everybody's so supportive! Like– the time when like, I didn't like– I- I- I had a moment where it's like I– do you guys remember in December when I- I was not around a lot? And like, I had to take breaks and all this stuff and it turns out it was like the concert stuff? They all like would message me regularly, like, we would all keep up with each other, and we would all talk. And I remember telling them about like, how much stress I was under, and like all the- all the pressures of the concert and stuff, and– and they were cheering, and- and- and they were just so... so kind to me, it was just so– so sweet, and- and you know, I was in a group chat with a- with a few people, and they were all just so excited and- and- just super nice, and- and very- very sweet, and it's just– and it's just very– I'm sorry if I'm rambling! It's just...
Ironmouse: I dunno! I- I- I just enjoy being here, and I enjoy hanging out with everybody, and... it's just nice to meet really good people. You don't really find that. You don't find that sort of thing all the time. Don't get me wrong– it's not like I haven't met a lot of good people, like– I just feel like this whole like, my whole like– Ever, like– My streaming journey, I've just been nothing but surprised at the goodness of people? Don't get me wrong– I've met assholes and sht like that, and I've met- I've encountered some people that are NOT so nice. I'll never like, talk about it or whatever because that's their thing, and I'm just gonna do my thing and I don't wanna like, you know, spread any type of stupid drama or whatever the fck, but like... I'm just always surprised about how– how incredibly nice people are, and how genuine a lot of people are, and it's... It- it's just nice, especially since like– You're used to coming from like, a certain background and a certain like, environment where it's like, you've met a lot of like fcked up mean people in your life, and you've just been around a lot of like fckery, you know? So when- when you're around stuff that's NOT fcked, it's just like, "Woah, this is crazy! Is this- is this how life is supposed to be?!" And it's just- it's just really... it's really- it's really nice. It's very nice.
Ironmouse: Yeah, it's very refreshing, that's why I- I enjoy hanging out on here, everybody's just so nice to me. And it's not just like being nice just to be on-stream, it's nice off-stream, on-stream, friendship on-stream, off-stream, it's- it's just- it's just so- it's- it's- it's wonderful. It's wonderful. And I just have to say like... man, I'm just really thankful that like... it's crazy that like I got invited to be on here and I'm just really thankful that, you know... Quackity like, reached out to me and he's- he's just been nothing but nice, everybody- everybody's just so kind. Everybody's so nice. This is something truly special.
i like to think reg is more fond of being a drinker, likes the taste of some and knows he can be out of it when he's in a secure place, especially with rhm.
rhm on the other hand i like to think doesn't drink not just because he's never really wanted to anyway, and not just because he'd rather stay sober to keep reg safe, but also mayhaps just fears not being aware of his surroundings 24/7 . slaps him with paranoia <3
want to make a little comic of reg realizing really early on that rhm never joins in on drinking on any occasion at all and questions him about it snarkily at first and gets a snarky answer back as a fun banter but afterwards maybe reg realizes more and more how rhm's always keeping a hawk's eye out for danger when he's drinking. deeper into their bond a good time later, reg would offer rhm a drink when he's 100% sure they can be safe from any random event that would not ensure their safety and maybe rhm would accept after some hesitation. mostly cuz it's probably been years since he's touched a drink and doesn't wanna act strange after drinking but also isn't convinced something wouldn't come up while he's not fully in his senses.
Without colors or context, this simple and stupid comic of mine feels so, so tense; It's ominous. The difference from the tone of my last doodle is low-key hilarious though. But please, *insert ace joke here* cause I swear this is nothing serious. I don't even know why I gave in so much effort or show ya'll my progress before finishing, yet here we are. -Bubbly💙
you ever just think about. “You are diseased, albeit a disease of our own making. No more.” you ever just. oh, they made him and they discarded him. it’s never going to be quiet again for him, and that’s just collateral. they let the sound rot through his whole life, his whole timeline. because that’s the kind of easy sacrifice you can make when you want to save yourself above everything else, one that doesn’t ask anything of you. you dig open a child’s mind and you bury your survival inside him and when he follows the noise back home, when he does exactly what you groomed him for, you call him ruined for it. that’s. you ever just think about that.
i do love sneaking in side ships to fics where they arent the focus but also i think the only reason i have the cater/trey mention in this story was bc i needed a reason to prevent cater from giving silver and kalim more thought out advice kflsjdfklsjd i had to interrupt him and make him LEAVE!!!

Once when I was a child I had a complete crying meltdown over Creatures, because the manual insisted that the complicated AI of the Norns made them truly alive and 10-year-old me was freaked out at the idea of being solely responsible for making sure these real animals wouldn't die. The funny part was that this was the Playstation version of Creatures, which has no biochemistry and very basic AI compared to the PC/Mac games where players actually were debating whether or not it was true artificial life. A PSX manual gave me existential dread and it wasn't even telling the truth.
Anyway, kid!Marcille would also have a meltdown over the Creatures series, especially if she had the computer games and got to see how vastly different some breeds' lifespans are. Like in C2 where you have Norns that live for around 5 hours and Norns that live for 10, both of which are vastly more than Ettins who don't even live for 1.5 hours (and usually less due to radiation or starvation).
Lucky for her, having the computer version means she could download modified genomes made by other players that make creatures live longer or even outright remove certain death triggers. However I think she'd have more fun learning to read and edit the genomes herself, to get a better understanding of how the game works and how to change it to suit her own tastes. And because she could pretend she's one of the mysterious ancient Shee who created the Norns, Grendels, and Ettins and then vanished, leaving behind relics of their old society.
(Speaking of Grendels, she would unfortunately dislike them because they're the Designated Evil Species and she'd hate how they harass and attack her Norns. I think she'd also pity them though, because they get sick a lot and have short lifespans. Likely she'd just end up downloading/creating a genome without the aggression towards Norns. Ettins she'd like except for in C3 when they dismantle her meticulously-placed gadget setups, so she might mod out their hoarding compulsions too. Both of them would of course also live for however long her Norns would live.)
Also. While standard creatures' lifespans are counted in hours, if you modify the half-lives in the genome editor you can increase it to centuries. Or even just over a millennium if you set the half-lives to their max length (assuming you also leave the old age death trigger at its vanilla value).
and I like to think that elven Creatures players would pass around copies of what they consider a template genome that's appropriate to their own lifespans. Something that would make their creatures live for weeks or months of continuous play. I also like to think the Creatures DS Warp is still active in this AU because of the hilarious frustration when these long-lived Norns travel to worlds run by short-lived players whose Norns have vanilla lifespans, and vice versa.
(Most of the time in Creatures, offspring of parents with different lifespans will just have one or the other, but there's a chance the genes cross over right in the middle of the various age triggers and cause unstable aging rates. Like a Norn that goes through the childhood stages in hours but then has a very extended adulthood. Or a days-long childhood followed by suddenly dropping dead of old age once the vanilla adulthood genes kick in. Or, if the child has one parent's half-life decay rate and the other parent's age triggers, all sorts of odd things could happen. I once had hybrid Norns who lived for 20 hours and would die of organ failure before reaching the old age threshold!)
(Now that I think of it, Marcille would absolutely hate fast-agers. The first time she watches a creature hatch, turn old, and die in just one brief minute of life, she would be sobbing for days. One of the first things she'd learn to mod out would be mutations that cause the Ageing/Life chemical to decrease unusually fast.)
On a lighter note, while I don't know what her favorite designs would be I think she'd love choosing cute breeds to use in her world. Once she figured out how to give her creatures the comfortable life she wants them to have I can see her redirecting all her gene-editing efforts into changing color expressions. She might even learn to sprite or model her own custom designs.
me, a 30 y/o who has gradually grown more and more reclusive over the years, unable to hold a job for more than a month and unable to finish any schooling despite many attempts, who struggles immensely with social situations to the point of avoiding everything, has been misdiagnosed w/ bpd in the past, & been in treatment for depression & anxiety for nearly 2 decades atp: so i think i'm autistic
the psychiatrist i only got in to see after suffering a severe mental/emotional breakdown for the second time in my life: ok well most physicians don't do assessments for that anymore, you'd have to go private and pay around $5000 to find out
Just wanted to say that I have been thinking of you and pre-emptively empathizing with the nonsense you are no doubt being flooded with and the psychic damage it must be causing. Keep stanning the king ignore the weirdos <3

who are you, so arrayed
on the banks of Lake Adair.
Pale lacuna agape
and like the moon in the lake
you are not there,
my poor canary.
At uncertain behest
Maggie blown to the west
in a shimmering dust of gold
with her pale yellow hair
they would call her ‘canary’.
And I loved my Maggie so,
and that is all you need to know.
But women here ain’t ever glad,
not even Emma Nevada,
coming back to share her wedding cake.
Women here ain’t ever free
(and Emma never left)
we never leave,
we never last
we never ask
we never stake a claim or complain or take.
Not till I made a play
for a parcel that lay
on the Amador county line.
Had a notion that I’d find employ by-and-by
at the Lonesome Willow Mine
but they don’t enlist my kind.
In the meantime,
set to prospecting where I was able
and laying my Maggie a table.
And when it was warm we would pan,
when it stormed play Fan-Tan,
and when it was cold
they’d come sniffin’
with gold in their hands.
On and on and again
on and on and again,
you do what you can.
Take an eighth of an ounce
in allowance for the dance, only a dance,
if you’re alone and abandoned and cast aside.
You know, the pastor tried
in vain to ask her hand,
even him, everybody did.
And I had a plan but I had to sign away my mine
and the deed left us free to scrape and bleed and go to seed and never marry
not canary canary canary canary canary canary canary canary canary canary.
In the spring of that year
when the tinker was here,
gals would hire him to mend their tin.
I heard ‘em swarm from afar
like a storm in a jar,
like a choir of cherubim,
singing *him, hymn, hymns.
Whispering, ‘Maggie had gone
must’ve skipped with someone’,
sounded wrong
though it did seem fair.
April turned into May
and I looked every day for you, Maggie,
‘til I heard they found a whore
with the golden hair
on the shores of Lake Adair.
On the sluice she was spread
loose and languid and dead
from the kindness that she had shown.
Still she told me her tale lifting veil after veil
to expose a grin a-honed,
my yellow rose in the lode a-blown.
And though I long to believe
as I muddied my sleeve,
and I studied the wiccan hap,
and I want to revive,
she was never alive.
But by the grace
and the whim,
and the wheel,
and again,
and the wickedness of men.
But what to do then?
I hauled myself up from the shore
and I called at the door
of the foreman.
I told him and he laughed.
So, alas, there was savagery there.
Left a hole in his heart you could roll a cabbage in
‘A cabbage?!‘
“Oh, no no, just a little one, Maggie, just a little one.”
On and on and again ‘til they saw what I am
and I am never done,
I am never done.
Went inside for the light,
got a paper and a pen,
where to begin?
Do you sue for the rights?
Root* for the strike?
Through the alluvium
to where it heeds
*for I’m putting my own ruin ‘til the end to lure o’er the deed.
A noose on a live oak tree bent toward the saloon tent
and meant for me and Maggie.
And though it wasn’t him,
it could’ve been him,
or anyone who had done
what I know so many men intended when they came to win.
Held a cloth to my hands
taking stock of my plans,
well, there was something I had to make right.
I took his old buggy whip
and I lowered a skip
in the glow of the sodium lights
with a load of dynamite.
Maggie said, “I am here.”
And with a touch on the ear,
“After thirty years down in the mine,
help me lead out the mules
help me free the poor fools,
let them see for the very first time
they were blind, blind, blind.”
Then we rode through the rift and we beckoned to moon reflectin’
and she opened her neck like a stream.
I saw the Father appear,
heard her sob in my ear
like a mob of cherubim,
howling “him, him. It was him. It was him.”
So I threw a charge down the shaft
in the cart with the pastor
who spat and evangelized.
He was the last and the worst —
canary always goes first —
to sing where the waters rise,
hear her sing – go on now, Maggie –
On and on, on and on, on and on, and again
and on and on
on and on and again
on and on and again.
Then a knock on the wall and a knock and we all fall in
and down and in, and down and in
and we pass away.
But we pass only the baton man to man,
and so they return.
Pull the pumps, fill the sumps,
for they’re takin’ something;
they will never learn,
they will never learn.
And even if the churn drill and the stamp mill and the Pelton wheel,
and the smoking furnace all a-burning, overturning, learning
she will never breathe the air
again air again air again air again air again air again air again air again air.
Like a screech of a flare,
or like they’re reaching for air
beneath the smothering eiderdown.
Veins of gold, still outstretched
in a silent arrest
for miles and miles abound.
And if I’m underground
let me join in that line,
let me toil in that mine,
let me find what is hiding there,
let me dig where I durst,
let me drink when I thirst
and let me breathe the peril air.
And breathe
for my canary,
and breathe.
Let me breathe.
Let me breathe for my canary,
breathe for my canary canary canary,
breathe for my —
canary always goes first —
breathe for my canary canary canary canary,
breathe for my —
canary always goes first —
breathe for my canary canary canary canary canary canary,
breathe for my —
canary always goes first —
breathe for my canary canary canary canary canary canary canary canary.

a girl who brews powerful potions is coerced into making potions to interfere with D.C.’s most influential politicians in an attempt to stop a dangerous Witcher Registration Act from passing, and will do anything to protect her sister after their mother is killed
