The Proposal - Rebecca Welton x fem!reader (Part 2)

The Proposal Part 2 - Rebecca Welton x fem!reader
“Hi. I’m Mr. Gilberston. And you must be...” The man trailed off, looking down at the file in his hands. “Y/n and Rebecca. Oh what glorious times we live in, huh?” He tried to make small talk, sitting down at the desk in his office. The room was small. Tiny, compared to Rebecca’s office. The walls were blue and there were huge shelves with boxes and boxes of files.
“Yes yes, amazing times. And I can’t even begin to tell you how much we appreciate you seeing us on such short notice.” Rebecca started with a smile as the man sat down at his desk before skimming over the file in front of him.
“So… I have one question for you.” He stated, closing the file again. “Are the two of you committing fraud to avoid Ms. Welton having to sell AFC Richmond back to some Mr. Rupert Mannion?” You tried not to roll your eyes at the statement. Well, here you go.
“That is ridiculous.” You shook your head. “Where- where did you hear that?” Rebecca stuttered. “We had a phone tip this afternoon from a man named-” - “Bob Spaulding? I’m sorry. Bob is nothing but a disgruntled former employee. I do apologize. But we do know that you’re incredibly busy, so if you just give us our next step, we will be out of your hair and on our way.” Rebecca tries. She was nervous. More nervous than you expected her to be since this had been her idea.
“Ms. Welton, please.” The man offered her to take a seat in front of his desk, you immediately rushed to pull out the chair for her before taking a seat next to her.
“Let me explain to you the process that is about to unfold.” He started. “First step will be a scheduled interview. I’ll have each of you put in a room and ask every little question that a real couple would know about each other. Step two, I dig deeper. I’ll look at your phone records, talk to your neighbors etc. If your answers don’t match up at every point, you, Ms. Welton, will sell the club, indefinitely. And you, young woman will have committed a felony… punishable by a fine of a quarter million pounds and five years of prison… So, Y/n. You wanna talk to me?” That lecture hit, you were debating whether or not you should just stop pretending.
“The truth is...” You started and Rebecca turned to you, looking uneasy. “Becca and I are just two people who weren’t supposed to fall for each other. But we did. After telling her about her ex-husband’s more than frequent affairs with employees, and plotting a plan for a divorce that lead to having bottles of wine at my place, we just fell in love. Obviously, we couldn’t tell anyone at work because of my promotion coming up and it would be deeply inappropriate if I were promoted under her, while we were in a relationship.” You explained and Rebecca seemed to grow even more uncomfortable.
“So, do your parents know about that secret relationship of yours?” He asks.
“Well, I’m not on good terms with my parents, haven’t seen them in years. So no. No brothers or sisters. Yeah.” Rebecca answered for her part. “You?” Gilbertson asked. “We were planning on telling them this weekend.”Rebecca quickly intervened. “Granny’s 90th birthday and the whole family is coming together. We thought it would be a nice surprise.”
“And where is this surprise gonna happen?”
“At Y/n’s parents’ house.” - “Where is that located again?”
Deciding to jump in, seeing as the probability for Rebecca to know that was about zero, you replied instead. “Buniewice.” You replied easily. “Buniewice.” Rebecca repeated. “In Poland.” - “In Poland?” Rebecca tried to mask her surprise. Her reaction did not surprise you. You had been more than sure that she hadn’t gone over your application as she kept you around. If she did, she would have noticed your dual citizenship.
“You’re gonna go to Poland this weekend?” He asked, not really believing you. “Yes… Yeah, we’re going to Poland, that’s where… that’s where my little… that’s where my darling is from.” Rebecca stated, reaching a hand over to awkwardly pat your shoulder.
“Okay, fine. I see how this is gonna go. I will see you both at eleven o’clock. Monday morning sharp, for your scheduled interview and your answers better match up on every account.” And with that he left the office without another word. Rebecca immediately went to answer her phone ringing.
You and Rebecca left the office building the same way you entered, walking out of the big glass doors on the front of the building, Rebecca was still looking down at her phone. “Okay, so, what is going to happen is we will go all the way over there. We will pretend like we’re girlfriend and girlfriend, tell your parents we’re engaged. Uh, use the miles for the tickets. I guess I will pop up for you to fly first class. But make sure you use the miles.” Rebecca jumped from one topic to the next within seconds while multitasking with her phone still in her hand.
“Hey, why aren’t you taking notes…?” Rebecca asked once she had finally diverted her eyes from the screen of her phone. “I’m sorry, were you not in that room?” You asked her, stopping in your tracks and turning to face her. “What? What- oh, the thing you said about you being promoted? Genius! Genius. The guy completely fell for it.” Rebecca replied, storing her phone in her purse.
“I was serious.” You stated matter of factly. “I’m looking at five years in jail and a quarter million in pounds. That changes things.” - “Promote you? No, no way.” She shook her head. You had a hard time not being intimidated by her, but you did your best.
“Then I quit, and you’re screwed.” You replied easily. “Bye-bye, Rebecca. It has been a little slice of heaven.” You added, turning around and starting to walk away from her. At any other moment, you would have thought this would be a chance for you. The way it was in the books. Forced marriage but they end up falling for each other. But now you weren’t sure anymore. She didn’t even seem to care about you.
“Y/n, Y/n! Fine, fine.” You stopped. Well, that was not as hard as you thought it would be. “I’ll have you be in charge of our transfers. Fine.” You turned back around at her words. “If you do the Poland weekend and the interview, you’re gonna be in charge of transfers.” She gave in. “And not in two years, right way.” You spoke, leaving no room for arguing. “Fine.” She agreed, managing not to roll her eyes.
“And we’ll tell my family about our engagement when I want and how I want.” You added. “Now, ask me nicely to marry you.”
“What does that mean?” Rebecca asked you, looking at you confused. “You heard me. Ask me to marry you, Rebecca. I won’t need you on your knees but ask me nicely.”
“Will you marry me?” She asked, not even meeting your eyes. “No. Say it like you mean it.” You encouraged her. And then she locked eyes with you. Oh how you were a sucker for her eyes. The green was oh so captivating.
“Y/n?” She asked you, voice now a bit less annoyed. “Yes, Rebecca?” You replied. “Sweet, sweet Y/n?” - “I’m listening.”
“Would you please, cherries on top, marry me?” She asked you, sarcasm now very much present in her voice. “Hmm. I don’t really appreciate the sarcasm, but I’ll do it.” You agreed and she flashed you a small, grateful, smile. “See you at the airport tomorrow.” And with that, you left her standing alone.
And this interaction led you to where you were now. Sitting on the plane to Danzig. Little did Rebecca know that you would have to board another plane once you landed there.
“So, these are the questions that this guy will be asking us.” You spoke, only partially to yourself while Rebecca was flipping through a magazine. You sighed and looked out of the window. “Good news is I know everything about you, bad news is that you have four days to learn all this about me. So, you should… probably start studying.” You said and Rebecca took the list of questions out of your hands, starting to flip through them.
“You know all these answers to these questions about me?” Rebecca asked, not believing one word you were saying. “Scary isn’t it?” You asked her, still looking out of the window. “A bit.” She admitted.
“What am I allergic to?” She asked you as if to test your knowledge. “Pine nuts.” You replied easily, not even having to think for a second. “And the full spectrum of human emotion.” You added under your breath. Still, she seemed to have caught your comment and let out a small chuckle. “Here’s a good one. Do I have any scars?” She challenges you again, quirking an eyebrow.
“I’m pretty sure you have a tattoo. Not that anyone else would ever think you did.” You replied, remembering a call you had gotten not too long ago. “Oh, you’re sure?” She teased, a smirk on her face.
“I’m pretty sure. A month ago your dermatologist called and asked about a Q-switched laser. I did some research and found out you use these to remove tattoos. But you canceled your appointment which leads me to the conclusion that you do, in fact, have a tattoo. It’s nothing big. Probably something you got before you met Mr. Mannion seeing as you do not want to have it removed. Maybe something that reminds you of something.” You brainstormed and Rebecca had an amused smile gracing her lips as she listened to your theories. “It’s not on your feet or ankle. Arms are out too. Maybe on your back? Or maybe on your hip?” You continued but Rebecca intervened. “You know, it is very exciting for me to experience you like this.” She joked.
“Thank you.” You joked back. “You’re gonna have to tell me where it is though.” You added and Rebecca rolled her eyes, focusing back on the question catalogue. “No, I’m not.” She replied easily. “He’s gonna ask.” You kept going. “Nope, we’re done with that question.” Rebecca decided, continuing to flip through the catalogue. “On to another question. Lemme see, lemme see...” She trailed off and you diverted your attention back to the clouds surrounding the plane.
“Oh, here’s one. Whose place do we stay at, yours or mine?” Rebecca read out before answering the question herself. “That’s easy. Mine.” - “And why wouldn’t we stay at mine?” You asked.
“Uhm, because my place is bloody nice and I have the perfect views.” She easily answered. “And because you probably live at some tiny, little studio flat with stacks and stacks of Penguin Classics.” She added and you tried not to let your face fall into an inappropriate grimace.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please fasten your seatbelts. We are beginning our descent into Danzig.” Came the muffled voice over the speakers. Rebecca’s face was already furrowing in confusion.
“Danzig? I thought we were going to Buniewice?” She asked, buckling her seatbelt. Her eyebrows were still furrowed in confusion as you raised your hand and gently pushed between them with your thumb, her face relaxing instantly. “We are.” You answered her question. “And how are we supposed to get there?”
Oh how you enjoyed the look on Rebecca’s face as you boarded a smaller plane. It was nothing compared to flying first class, you knew that, but it had been all you ever knew. While you were focused on the question catalogue for your interview, Rebecca just sat there, not voicing her discomfort, but putting up no effort to hide it on her face and body.
You felt uneasy as you landed. You hadn’t seen your family in a while. However the part you were concerned about the most was seeing your father again. He never seemed to be proud of anything you had accomplished. He voiced disapproval when you had decided to move to England about ten years ago. Ever since then the relationship between the two of you had been rather rocky.

So yeah, you know those League of Legends asks in my box? Im going to get to them soon, but currently fell down the Demon Slayer Rabbit Hole and now I’m down bad. Enjoy some Demon Slayer Romantic headcanons.
Warnings: Potential Manga spoilers, some angst at certain points. Written with a Male Reader in mind but could very easily be read for Gender Neutral readers.
DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS FALLING IN LOVE HEADCANONS:
Shinobu Kocho:
Tumblr media
-Ever since Kanae’s untimely death Shinobu has been very much in touch with her emotions. Both the good, such as the love she feels for Kanao and the companionship she shares with the Hashira, as well as the bad, namely the loathing and hate she harbours behind her smile towards the Demons, especially the one who took away her sister. Yet, when you came to the picture, she started feeling an emotion that she never expected to feel. Love. Not the sibling love she has for her little sister Kanao, but actual, genuine, romantic love.
-At first she does her best to stamp this flame out. Not because she hates you, because by God does she love you. She adores you and wishes she could promise you a future together with a small family to raise and only being surrounded by happiness and love, to dedicate herself to your happiness but she does not want to. Ever since she started poisoning herself to ensure she could kill the Demon who took away her sister she all but discarded all thoughts of settling down. Maybe, if somehow, some way she managed to survive her battle with the Demon who took away her sister she could find love, but until then that was a pipe dream… until you came into the picture.
-She fails, as one can guess, to stamp these out, and that’s not for the lack of trying. She does everything she can, from avoiding you at first, to even doing her best to find any, and by any she means ANY, faults in you that she could use to tell herself you two wouldn’t be a match. Yet, the opposite happens. She finds out all the things that MAKE you two a good match. She finds herself enamoured by your smile, her own becoming far more genuine and not the fake she used to put up in front of everyone else. The happiness she only used to feel when Kanae was around comes back full force, and she has to wake up to the reality that yes… she loves you, and wants to have a future with you.
-That is not to say that she gives up on her plan, oh… she certainly doesn’t but at the very least she admits that just perhaps she can find some joy in her last few weeks, or even months, or perhaps even years. Either way, once the Insect Hashira realises her feelings for you and stops trying to deny them, she instantly does whatever she can to win your affection.
-As a Hashira she doesn’t have much free time. Ironically enough though, the way she shows her love for you is spending whatever moments she doesn’t spend tending to people, out on a mission, or being with Kanao, with you. Though one would assume this would leave her with barely any time, Shinobu is an expert at making the best out of bad situations. From training with you if you are a Demon Slayer, to inviting you to small festivals when they are on, or merely listening to you talk about your day, she is there. Shinobu is also an expert at giving advice, but she is extremely gifted at knowing when you merely want her to listen, and when you actually want an advice out of her. Thankfully, more often than not, her advice are more than usually correct, something which she is both extremely happy about and thankful for as well.
-Confession is a tricky topic for the Insect Hashira. She spends a while planning it but in the end decides to go with the flow. She doesn’t make a huge deal out of it, but makes sure to tell you just how much you mean to her. She has a way with words, but she doesn’t over complicate things, and instead merely just lays out just how much you truly mean to her. When you eventually tell her just how much you grew to love her, Shinobu visibly lights up, a bright smile on her face. It was then, when she realised you truly do love her, did she realise that even if her future is short… so long as she can spend it with you, she will be happy.
-She understand that you very likely won’t approve of her plan, and she can live with that, however she at least expects for you to allow her to continue. As much as she loves you, she cannot put the thoughts of revenge down from her mind, so the very best thing you could do is just let her know you don’t like it, but respect her wishes, and work harder to help her defeat the Demon without needing to resort to that quite radical method. That small thing alone means so much to her, so expect Shinobu to ramp up her affections after, because she realises just how truly lucky she got with one such as you.
Inosuke Hashibara:
Tumblr media
-This Boar Boy comes into your life randomly and violently. You could be anyone, a Demon Slayer he so happens to meet as he cuts down Demons to just a mere Civilian who he encountered one day. Either way, you most likely are amazed at him when you see him, and that instantly makes him take a liking to you. At first, it’s not even proper attraction, heck you two would likely just bond over how awesome he is, yet as the two of you become closer, Inosuke starts noticing… *you* as well. It’s not that he didn’t notice you before, but as he grows closer to you, he starts seeing more and more of your personality, things you enjoy doing. Even if they are things that he himself would never really enjoy doing, he doesn’t ridicule you for it, instead happy that you have a passion yourself.
-Inosuke likely doesn’t even recognise that he is catching feelings at first. Remember, he was raised by Boars, yet if there is anything that are sharp (other than his weapon) is his instinct, which is telling him that he… likes you. He wants to be closer to you and spend more time than with anyone else with you. He is so close to realising his feelings for you yet so far at the same time, and it likely takes outside influence for him to even click how he likes you. It’s probably Zenitsu or Tanjiro who note that he’s been spending way more time with you lately and has been talking about you *non-stop* and ask him if the two of you are together or something.
-Bless his heart, he probably answers something like “Yeah of course! The Great Inosuke and his best friend are always together!” This causes both Tanjiro and Zenitsu to stare in shock, before they decide, just to make sure, to ask if he knows what ‘love’ is, the romantic kind. Once it becomes clear he doesn’t… they see how much he cares for you, and figure that if they explain it to him, than at the very least he could draw his own conclusions from there and indeed, the Great Inosuke does draw conclusions… eventually.
-Once the reality sets in though, Inosuke actually ponders about it for a few moments. Whilst it is true that he loves you, and his first thought was to just run to you and proclaim it, it was Zenitsu who stressed that it’s not so easy, and that he needs to show he loves you (turns out, being rejected so many times allowed Zenitsu to pick up a few things, even if he doesn’t use them in his desperation). However, since this is Inosuke, things go… different than one expects.
-Inosuke’s love language and attempt to show he loves you revolves around Quality Time as well as Gift-Giving, yet the latter is far more unorthodox than the former. His Gifts include things you can actually use, he sees no point in Flowers being given as Gifts. After all, yeah, they smell nice, but he prefers more practical gifts, or rather at least things which show his Strength off more, such as the time he dumped quite possibly the biggest Bear you ever seen in front of you, thoroughly bled out, so the two of you can cook it and have a feast. Needless to say, he doesn’t do anything half-assed.
-There’s also the fact that Inosuke becomes FAR more protective of you. Not coddling, as he believes you can take care of yourself and respects that about you, but damn it Boar boy is ready to challenge anyone who dares talk behind your back, and the more personal the insult is for you, the more riled up Inosuke gets.
Kanao Tsuyuri:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
(I legit love Kanao so much. She’s absolutely precious and needs to be protected)
-Truth be told? She probably goes to Shinobu with this, who only gives her a vague response like “Ara Ara, perhaps you should talk with (Y/N)-Kun more, Kanao?” Meanwhile, poor girl is staring at Shinobu like… yes, she is aware that she wants to, but she wants to know why. After all, sure, you have a beautiful smile, your eyes are gorgeous, you were always with her, slowly making Kanao’s shell crack… She WANTS to be around you, her hearts yearns for it, and when she is not, or when she sees you hang around with someone else it’s like a dagger being stabbed into her heart, which then promptly makes her either consult her coin or just retreat into the lairs of her room. It’s even worse if she sees you with Aoi or someone else because she KNOWS she shouldn’t feel so betrayed over the two of you simply being together but what can you do? It takes a bit of convincing herself to get over it, so there is a good chance you won’t be seeing her from time to time until she manages to sort her own emotions out.
-Eventually though, Kanao finally realises just how much you mean to her. Whether it’d be you sticking up for her after a few other Slayers called her strange, whether you done what Tanjiro did and helped her begin making decisions by herself… she falls for you, and she falls for you hard, and she truly realises this when Shinobu makes a comment on not using her coin when it comes to you. To Kanao, you are more or less always priority, the only one who even comes close to this being Shinobu, and she has overheard the triplets talking about the ‘obvious’ crush she has on you. I mean, she had to ask what a crush was from Shinobu, but once *that* got explained things fell into picture.
-Poor, precious bean is a nervous mess and that’s putting it lightly. She looks like a small wind could blow her away when you’re near her and her face has a small permanent tint of red until she properly grows used to her feelings. It’s not her fault, and not yours either. She’s just so terrified of messing it up, of relapsing into using her coin and that you don’t feel the same because she’s not like other girls who can properly express emotions. Yet… though it’s eventually pointed out, with you she HAS been more emotional. Her smiles become more genuine, her eyes begin to light up more, and just the fact her eyes shine when around you tells anyone what she needs to know.
-Her love language is probably Quality Time and her giving you gifts. She’s still not the best at speaking with you so whenever she tries to give you Words of Affirmations it will be awkward at first. Yet, when she sees just how down you are, she feels compelled to speak, so she just tells you that she cared about you, and will always be there at your side. She’s not over dramatic, she won’t overcomplicate it, but that’s the simple truth. Whenever she is not training, she’s probably next to you enjoying her free time, listening either to you talking to her about what was happening to you, or just the two of you relaxing. If you are a Demon Slayer, you know she’s suggesting training. She just wants to make sure you are always at your best condition, and it’s for that exact reason she’s never holding back on you. Physical touch is also a big no-no for her, at least not for a while but we’ll touch on that later.
-Honestly it’s you that needs to confess. Every time Kanao tells herself it’s time to confess she always resorts to using her coin and she flips it, but she never looks at just what the coin truly landed on. She’s utterly terrified, because if she needs to confess, she is scared at the mere idea of rejection. If she doesn’t confess, then she’s scared that she’ll never confess and be able to move. It’s a down right agonising Catch-22 definitely makes her sleep schedule a bit worse than usual but not enough to hamper her performance, though Shinobu notices and is steadily growing more worried for her and more annoyed at you. However, when you finally confess… it’s like fireworks shoot off in her mind and for the first time since Kanae’s death… she finally feels whole.
-Even when together at last, Kanao is not a physical type of person. That’s not to say she doesn’t get any better, but she still has severe trauma from all the abuse she suffered. You, Shinobu, and eventually Tanjiro help her overcome it to the best of her ability, but she still has nightmares about that horrible life. Her deepest fear is that she’ll wake up one day still there, and that you, the love of her life, Shinobu and Kanae, her older sisters and Tanjiro, her best friend were all just her imagination, so after she wakes up she immediately goes to find you and nearly just breaks down from relief and the stress. When you’re comforting her it’s probably best to sooth her worries first, and eventually, slowly, she’ll melt into a hug, and as you two hold each other, eventually… she’ll drift into a deep, happy sleep. A world with no Demons… A world, where the two of you can be happy together.
(Please protect her Kanao needs to be Happy. Also, expect a potential Upper Moon headcanons as well.)

I Heart ?
Tumblr media
Crosshair x reader
Who knew simply loving a man would be this difficult
Fluff / Angst (I mean it’s Crosshair)
Pt 5 of I Heart ?
Winters Day
“Well look who it is!” Fives greeted me by spinning me in his arms, “Happy Winters Day!”
“Happy Winters Day Fives!” I laughed as he set me down.
I greeted each trooper with the same cheerful greeting as he entered my apartment, “Happy Winters Day Jesse! Kix! Hawk! Dogma! Hardcase! Fox! Tup! I’m so glad you could all make it this morning!”
“You know we wouldn’t miss it for anything.” Dogma replied with a wave of his hand, “Unless we were called on assignment because then we would have to go and-”
“And!” Tup nudged his brother, “We’re happy to be here.”
“It’s tradition after all.” Rex said, stepping inside, “Happy Winters Day.”
“You too captain.” I gave him a mock salute before giving him a hug.
Rex returned the hug and gave a pat to my head.
“Is Echo coming?” I asked peering around the captain, “He said he’d be here yesterday…”
“Right here.” Echo called out with a huff, dragging a giant present behind him, “Someone was supposed to help carry this in, but he just had to say hi to you first.” Echo rolled his eyes.
“Hey!” Fives yelled from where he was examining the table of gifts I had set up along with Hardcase and Hawk, “She’s my best friend which means I get to say happy winters day to her first!”
“Yeah and I’m her best friend too.” Echo pushed the gift into my apartment with a huff.
“I’ll help.” Kix chuckled and picked up the dragging end of the gift.
“We’re all best friends.” I chuckled as I peered at the gift, “What exactly did you boys get me?”
“Well, we thought we’d all pitch in this year to get you one big gift.” Rex explained as Echo and Kix carried it towards the middle of the living room.
“Aw! That’s so sweet!” I placed a hand over my heart at the thought.
“You have to open your gift first!” Hawk smiled.
I walked over to the gift that reached up to my waist, “What could this possibly be…”
I tugged on the precise ribbon, no doubt tied by Rex. It fell to the floor as I pulled back the blue wrapping paper…
I gasped in excitement, “Oh my moons! You shouldn’t have!” I squeezed excitedly as I tore into the paper, making way to the giant easel set up.
I knew they didn’t earn that much through their pension, but the thought that they all came together to get me something as big as this was heartwarming.
I fanned at the oncoming tears, “I think I’m going to cry.”
Fives was quick to pull me into a hug, “Hey none of that! We’re here to celebrate.”
“You boys are too sweet, I’m lucky to have you as my friends.” I said smiling at each one of them, “Now hurry up and open the gifts I got you before I turn into a complete mess.” I joked motioning towards the table.
The boys were quick to find their names tearing into their gifts aside from Rex. He took his time to help me set up mine.
“You should at least open yours up.” I motioned towards his.
“Mine is so much cooler than yours!” Hawk yelled at Dogma as he showed off his specially designed blue and white pilot jacket.
“No way!” Dogma tried on his new shoes, “Mine shoes have my tattoo on them which makes them cooler.”
“After this.” Rex smiled at his brothers, “Echo told me you’ve been having with a certain sniper.”
“That snitch.” I shook my head with a chuckle.
I looked at echo who was looking at the matching pistols both he and Fives got. It had the Domino twins written on the side with their personalized tattoos together.
“This is awesome!” Fives exclaimed as he held his besides Echo who nodded in agreement, a smile on his face.
“He’s worried… We all are. You’re our sister, we’d do anything to make sure you’re okay.” Rex said softly.
“I know…” I trailed off watching the others open their gifts, “I finished the modified rifle for him.”
“You made him a rifle?” Rex looked at me in surprise.
I blushed, “I wanted to make him something that would keep him safe… It’s just… He’s so hot and cold… I don’t know how to get through to him aside from weapons.”
Jesse was looking at his new portable music player so he could listen to music while he worked. Hardcase was already trying to turn on the flying drone that shared his tattoos. Fox was looking at a modified electro staff that glowed red and Tup was looking through the box of hair products and personalized hair ties that had a small metal teardrop on each one.
“Maybe you don’t need to. Maybe he needs to get through to you.” Rex stated before grabbing the spotchka Kix passed him.
That made me think for a moment… Maybe I do need to step back a little.
Kix and Hardcase gave everyone a mug of Spotchka as a chorus of thank you’s was thrown while we toasted.
The morning felt nice as a nice chatter envolions the room. I was pleased that the empty space by my window was now filled with an easel and chair for when inspiration hit me.
“Thank you.” I gave Rex a thumbs as we finished the assembly.
“Of course.” He nodded and watched I grabbed his gift off of the table.
“Now hurry up and open yours!” I laughed.
Rex chuckled, unwrapping the gift to find a modified holo pad, one that held memories from each of his brothers and his friends.
“I thought you might want something that you could remember your brothers and friends with for when you have to deploy. Look! It even has me, Echo, and Rex racing those speeders even though you told us not too.” I laughed a little at the memory.
Looking up at his face I knew that this gift meant a lot to him especially when he pulled me into a hug.
“Thank you.” He whispered.
“Anything for my brother.” I replied, “Now when should we head to the bar?”
“After breakfast, I’m starving!” Hardcase exclaimed causing all of us to laugh.
“Looks like that’s my que.” Kix stood up to go cook, “Sue chef, you’re up.”
“Yes sir!” I giggled heading over to the kitchen as well, “You boys know where the remote is.” I said to the others as I walked away.
“Our annual winters day movie?” I heard Dogma ask his brothers as he reached for the remote.
“Of course!” Hawk smiled and the group of brothers got comfortable on and around the sofas.
Soon enough afternoon rolled around and we were getting ready to head to the bar to celebrate with the rest of the troopers. I stepped out of my room in a short white dress with lace snowflakes.
“Oh that is going to get his attention for sure.” Fives whistled.
“Whose attention?” Tup asked, eyebrows furrowed.
“Haven’t you been listening? Our scientist here has the hots for the sniper from 99 squad, Crosshair.” Hawk stated while patting Fox’s shoulder.
Fox’s eyes went wide as he looked at me, “You’re what? With him? They started a good fight in the cafeteria! Crosshair gave one of my boys a black eye from a tray he chucked at them!”
I knew my face was as red as the red bow in my hair as I tried to explain myself, “It’s just… You see- Ah?”
“She can’t help who she has feelings with.” Echo led me out the door, “Lets go before the others start a riot.”
“But we can.” Hardcase huffed as we all left to the two cabs waiting for us, “If he so much as touches you, I swear I’ll send him to Geonis.”
“See how he fairs in that battle.” Kix joked.
“Please don’t do anything to him.” I begged though I knew my words held no meaning to them.
“No promises if he hurts you.” Rex said.
Without a doubt they were the best group of brothers I could ask for.
“The Calvary has arrived!” Fives yelled causing a holler throughout the bar.
It seemed that everyone was having a great time celebrating Winters’ day with drinks, music, and friends.
“Let’s get a drink!” Hardcase cheered.
“Drinks are on me boys!” I smiled quickly pulling out my card and passing it to the bartender, “Get these group of soldiers whatever they want for the rest of the night.”
“Whoo!” Fox, Hawk and Fives cheered as the boys gave me a bunch of hugs.
“You don’t have to do that.” Echo spoked softly sliding in beside me.
“I know, but I want to.” I smiled watching the smiling faces of my friends, “Hey Echo, do you know when the 99 squad are going to show up?”
Echo’s lips curled into a small smile, “It’ll be later tonight, you should relax until your prince shows up.”
I nudged his shoulder, “He’s anything, but a prince… But he is my soldier. At least I want him to be… Force, how do I even tell him that?” I muttered in sheer embarrassment.
“So whipped.” Fives joked passing me a shot that glittered with unknown substance.
“What’s this?” I wondered as I took a sip. The fruity sweet flavor made my eyes light up, “It tastes so good!”
“It’s a strong drink so don’t go over board with it okay?” Fives chuckled, “One should be plenty for you to knock the edge off.”
I nodded with a salute, “Yes sir!”
“You should tell him tonight.” Echo encouraged.
“Ohhh you talking about about Mr. Sniper right?” Fives smirked which was soon replaced with a grimace as I smacked his shoulder.
Echo continued, “I’ve seen the way he looks at you. I am positive he feels the same.” He glanced discretely at the bracelet dangling off my wrist, “Just too much of a hardcase to do anything about it.”
I smiled a bit at that, “I was just going to give him his rifle tonight, but… You really think I should?” I wondered.
“Oh without a doubt.” Echo chuckled.
“You get it girl.” Fives teased as he walked away to catch up with his other brothers, “Jesse! Take a shot with me!”
Tonight it is then… I squared up my shoulders slightly with a breath. On Winters Day I’ll tell him. I’ll tell him how I feel.
The lights began to blur as twirled to the upbeat music played by the live band. Rex was floating around the bar trying to make sure none of his brothers did anything stupid. The other 501st boys were seeing who could drink the most shots which everyone knew Fives wouldn’t surrender until he was blacked out. Echo and Kix kept an eye on me as they relaxed by the bar the moment they noticed that I was tipsy… Too tipsy from just one drink.
“She drank another one didn’t she?” Echo sighed while Kix nodded.
“Yep.” Kix said, popping the p.
“Fives! Fives! Fives!” I yelled his name.
He turned around mid shot.
“It’s our song!” I yelled as he quickly ran over, the two of us doing our famous dance routine that we’ve been practicing since we first became best friends.
The crowd gave us room, cheering us on as we stood side by side, performing each step flawlessly as someone who drank a bit too much could do.
I didn’t think the night could get any better than this, but the cheery atmosphere only got brighter as I spotted my friend Clare.
“Clare!” I stumbled over to her, my arms pulling her in a hug, “You came!”
“Of course!” She chuckled before holding me at arms length to check me over, “How much have you had to drink?”
“Two… Fives told me to be careful, but I snuck one more when the boys weren’t looking, they look so pretty!” I said in amazement, “Like a galaxy!”
“Oh no…” She laughed with a shake of her head, “Those are a hundred percent alcohol!” Her red dress glittered under the lights.
“You look so pretty! I love your dress!” I smiled as she twirled once.
“Thank you! I went everywhere to find a shade of red that matched Tech’s uniform.” Clare replied, “Speaking of which.” She turned slightly and motioned behind her.
“My new friends!” I gasped seeing the Bad Batch already claiming a booth behind Clare, “They came too!”
“Of course they did.” Clare said, her perfectly curled hair bouncing as she giggled, “Let’s go say hi peach.”
She pulled me along the crowd to the boys, my heart pounding loudly in my ears.
“Hello!” I smiled, “Happy Winters Day! It’s nice to meet you!”
“How drunk is she?” Hunter chuckled.
“She’s a lightweight so… Quiet drunk.” Clare explained with a smile.
“I’m not a lightweight…” I muttered, “I feel quiet great actually!”
My eyes scanned over the boys, my smile turning into a frown noticing one very important batcher missing.
“Where’s my soldier?” I huffed.
This caused a round of laughs from the group.
“He’s behind you.” Tech stated as he pointed past my left shoulder.
“Oh!” I spun around to find Crosshair looking slightly flustered at the comment, “Crossy!”
“Your girl was looking for you Crossy!” Wrecker teased.
Crosshair huffed, his breath catching in his throat as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
“Thank you again for driving me home yesterday.” I said softly.
His hands found their way on my waist, holding me steady, “Sure.” He nodded.
I smiled at this, “I also have another gift for you! It’s at the lab because I’m not allowed to take it off the premises.” I giggled, “Quite dangerous if you know what I mean.” I whispered in his ear, “But I think you will really like it…”
His brothers had never in their lives have seen their brother look as flustered as he did right now.
“You’re drunk.” He spoke plainly as he carefully unwrapped my arms from around his neck.
“Am not. Why does everyone keep saying that?” I squinted my eyes at him before grabbing his hand to bring him over to the booth.
“I’m glad you guys arrived when you did.” I said scooting in next to Wrecker, Crosshair coming to sit beside me, “Everyone’s really having a blast tonight.”
“Is it always this rowdy?” Hunter asked.
I nodded with a laugh, “The 501st boys always know how to throw a party.”
“We should get some drinks then to get in the partying mood!” Clare said as she stood up.
My eyes lit up at the chance to finally get Crosshair a drink.
“Oh! I’ll come with you!” I climbed across Crosshair’s lap much to his dismay to get out, “And don’t go anywhere, I’ll get you your drink.” I smiled at him before looping my arm with Clare’s.
“No drinks for you. I’m cutting you off.” Clare teased.
“I’ve only had two!” I whined.
“I think she’s smitten with you Crosshair.” Hunter said as soon as Clare and I were out of ear shot.
“Yeah she is!” Wrecker yelled loudly, “I can see hearts dancing above her head.”
“Shut up.” Crosshair sneered, crossing his arms.
“It’s cute seeing you so flustered.” Hunter teased.
“By my calculations you’ll both be married within a year… Maybe even less.” Tech stated, “It’ll be only logical for you to have children as well… Then you would most likely leave the squad, though she seems like the type to not take you away from what you love. Plus she is set on her position in the lab so perhaps you two would get a nanny?”
Wrecker and Hunter laughed at Techs calculations.
“Oh you’re totally going to be her lapdog! I can just see it!” Wrecker’s voice boomed in a rioting laugh.
This had Crosshair’s heart racing in anxiety at the thought of being tied down… Of being taken away from the fight… Away from his brothers… To settle down and not see the action of a battle again. That wasn’t him and he was damned if he allowed anyone to take that away from him.
Hunter notices the tense look on Crosshair’s face, “Nothing ever goes according to plan, you know that. Tech’s just trying to get a ride out of you.” He says, “Just let things play out and don’t do anything stupid. She would be good for you.”
Crosshair rolled his eyes at this, “I’m never getting involved with her.”
“This is the drink you like right?” The very voice that irked him spoke at the wrong moment as his eyes fell to the smitten look on her face with dread.
He took the glass without a word, downing the golden substance and allowing for it to burn down his throat. He didn’t let her climb over him either, choosing to move over to Wrecker.
She sat down anyways, a doting smile on her face that made Crosshair want to run. Him marrying her? Not in a million years. He doesn’t need anyone to go home to or to always make sure that lose strand of hair behind her ear in tucked in… No. good soldiers follow orders.
“How long are you guys planning to stay?” I asked, fixing my dress over my thighs.
“As long as the party will have us.” Wrecker responded.
The conversations carried on in ease with more rounds of drinks along the way as everyone celebrated Winters Day. My nerves bundled together each time I would glance at Crosshair, his mood seemingly sour since I left to get him a drink. Or maybe this was just him relaxed? I’m not sure… Maybe I could ask him to dance?
“Cross would you like to-” I tried to gain his attention to which he cut me off to speak to Hunter.
This dampers my mood a bit, but I didn’t let it dissuade me. I shouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. Maybe he didn’t hear me?
I fiddled with the silver bracelet on my wrist as I waited for him to finish his conversation.
Once the conversation was finished I quickly stood up, “Cross.” I spoke up to make sure he would hear me.
He only glanced at me, prompting me with an eyebrow raise to continue.
“Do you want to dance with me?” I asked nervously as I swayed on my feet.
“I don’t dance.” He stated, placing a toothpick in his mouth.
“You don’t have to dance! Just come with me please?” My voice was on the precipice of begging as I held my hand out for him to grab.
“Come on Crosshair, let the poor girl have a dance.” Clare crossed her arms.
Crosshair huffed, but none the less a moment later he took my hand, letting me lead him to the dance floor. I had a hip in my step at the warmth of his hand in my cold one. I decided to lead him to a less crowded area, turning around to loop my arms once again around his neck.
“You like this position don’t you?” He smirked teasingly.
I blushed, but decided to play his game nonetheless, “Only when it’s you.”
The two of swayed in relatively calm silence, moving off beat to the fast paced song. It felt nice and I couldn’t help, but lean my face against his chest.
“Hey Cross?” I mumbled, my eyes closing as the music changed to a more mellow tempo.
“Hm?” Was his reply, not really focusing on anything, but the way her hair smelled of ocean and flowers.
“Would you like to go to my lab now?” I pressed on nervously even if I couldn’t look him in the eyes as I asked, “I’d really like to show you that gift and maybe we can talk? There’s actually something important I’d like to tell you-”
“No.” Crosshair’s glare shot a shiver of fear down my spine as I took in his crystal ember eyes.
“No?” I repeated confused.
“You heard me. Don’t act dumb, you’re smarter than that.” He said somehow complimenting and insulting me at the same time.
“Oh… I can always show you tomorrow if that would be better?” I asked.
Maybe he just didn’t want to leave the party?
He ignored my question entirely, “Why are you here wanting to dance with me anyways? Shouldn’t you be with your so called friends?” He sneered.
I pulled away slightly to look at him with confusion, “I am with my friends… You’re my…” My voice trailed off, “What has gotten into you?”
“Nothing.” He rolled his eyes, “You’re just ruining the mood being demanding. I’m here to spend time with my brothers, not follow you around like some dog.”
“Excuse me?” I raised an eyebrow, “You’re the one being a jerk. I’m trying to give you a gift I made for you!”
“I didn’t ask you to get me anything!” He spat.
“I didn’t need you to! Why are you always so rude to me?” I said exasperatedly.
“Why are you always so clingy?” His harsh words stung and I stopped swaying.
“Clingy?” I glared, “Me wanting your attention for just one moment is clingy? You barely acknowledge me as it is!”
“That’s because you’re frustrating!” He sighed.
“You’re the one who’s frustrating you hotheaded temperamental mantell mix brain!” I huffed and the next thing I knew his lips were on mine.
My heart practically leaped in my chest as my fingers curled around his short hair. His kiss felt harsh and rough but soft all the same as if it were an extension of him. Shoving so much passion down my throat that I could barely breath yet without it I knew that I would surely die.
“Cross.” I mumbled into his mouth, yelping lightly as he bit my bottom lip.
His hot breath fanned my face as he leaned back and tilted his head, lips inches away from my ear.
“What makes you think I’m going to be your lapdog?” He sneered before walking away and leaving me alone on the dance floor.
My fingers slowly grazed the blood starting to pool from my bottom lip, my heart hammering in my chest and once again I found it hard to breath. Something he seemed to take away from me so easily.
That was our first kiss… That was our first kiss… What does he mean by lapdog? He wasn’t making any sense, I never once thought of him that way…
The room began to spin as I tried to wrap my head around the entire situation. Everything felt so confusing and suffocating all at once. My eyes burned and my heart raced in adrenaline and alcohol.
How can something so sweet be so cruel?
That is what I kept telling myself as I pushed between bodies of people dancing the night away in joy. Something I should be doing, but instead all I wanted to do was cry or scream.
I didn’t find my way back to the Bad Batch instead choosing to find my 501st brothers. My shoulders were slumped in defeat as I trudged my way towards Rex.
“Hey.” Rex greeted me before his posture straightened at my dejected form, “What’s wrong? What happened?”
I shook my head slightly, defeat and confusion fluttering through my body. That seemed to be all he needed to know to understand who and what I was talking about.
“Come on. Let me take you home.” He wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
“You shouldn’t be so quick to throw a good thing away.” Hunter tried his best to persuade Crosshair.
Hunter heard everything and couldn’t help, but want to smack his brother upside the head.
“You’re my friend Crosshair and you deserve happiness.” Clare said calmly, “But she is also my friend so you need to stop tormenting her and yourself with your unyielding ways.”
“I don’t need anyone.” Was Crosshair’s response as he picked up his jacket, “I never ask for her.”
“Then why did you kiss her?” Hunter asked causing Tech’s eyebrows to raise and Wrecker’s jaw to drop.
“You did what?!” Wrecker all, but yelled.
“I’m leaving.” Crosshair hissed. He didn’t wait for a response, heading towards the exit of 79.
“He’s self sabotaging his own happiness.” Hunter sighed for he knew how hardheaded his brother was.
“Persuading him is futile.” Tech simply stated, his arm secured around Clare as they left the bar, “He is unyielding, it is his nature.”
“Maybe not…” Hunter muttered under his breath.
Maybe just maybe… She could bend him.

Twins -miya osamu x femreader
Idea just came to me. What if Miya Osamu or Miya Atsumu dated someone who had a twin (and didn't know they had a twin lol). One day the twins decide to prank/test them.
"Do you have siblings?"
"Yeah, a sister. But we don't live together anymore since our parents split. I don't see her often."
Fast forward five years later, me and Gin have graduated and moved out of our troublesome family situation. For the first time we've been able to just sit down and catch up with each other. There were tears, there were laughs, there were long stories of what we've been up to.
And then, the big question pops up.
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
I stop drinking the smoothie I had ordered and freeze in my tracks. I look up at my identical twin. She has the same facial features at me. Same eye color, same long lashes, same face shape. We even have the same hair color and over the course of time neither one of us have changed its style since the time we split apart.
She is my identical twin, who I never told Osamu I have.
"Y-yeah."
She must have noticed my frown because she mirrors it and tilts her head.
"What's wrong?"
"I.... never told Osamu I had a twin. I told him I had a sister... But..."
"You never told him we were identical." She finishes. I nod my head.
"We can go to the Onigiri place he owns and introduce you properly. He's a twin himself actually so he'll probably get a kick out of it." I propose.
A sneaky smile spreads across Gin's face as she takes another sip of her own smoothie. It reminds me of all the evil schemes she used to cook up when we were little kids.
"You don't say. Another twin huh? I have an idea."
"Gin..."
"Hear me out...."
"What if we trade clothes and pay your boyfriend a visit? See if we can tell it's not you." She suggests.
"I don't know Gin. Osamu and his twin Atsumu have played the same trick on me over the phone and it doesn't feel great--"
"All the more reason to do it! Come on! Just this once for old times sake. Aren't you curious?" She presses.
In all honesty, I am.
We decide to go visit his shop. Beforehand we exchange clothes and she asks me some general questions to not tip him off.
"What do you call him, dotingly?"
"'Samu."
"What do you usually get?"
"I like the salmon onigiri."
"Where did you guys meet?"
"He was part of the volleyball team in school with his twin. I helped out."
"What's his twin's name?"
"Atsumu."
"Got it. Alright. I'm going in."
She pats down my clothes, which fit her perfectly because we're the same size and height. Even our shoe sizes match.
She smiles reassuringly at me and squeezes my hand before she crosses the street to where the Onigiri shop is.
"Don't worry, I'll stop before anything happens."
"Okay Gin. Good luck."
She crosses the street and enters the shop. I give it a minute before crossing the street as well and looking through one of the windows of the shop.
"Hey 'Samu."
The man turns around, carrying some freshly made tuna in his arms. He offers a warm smile back and takes on of his hands off the white bowl to wave.
"Hey. Take seat I'll be right there, Love."
She goes to the front booth and takes a seat crisscross on the stool. She takes out your phone (yes you two even went as far as to swap phones and passwords to get in). She smiles fondly down at the picture of the two of you.
During movie night one time, Osamu fell asleep with his head on your shoulder. You couldn't help take a picture of the two of you. It became your favorite couple photo. Honestly, you two are really cute together. Gin's happy that you have found someone that makes you happy.
"Hey. What are ya doin' here?"
Gin's head turns a little. Unbeknownst to her, a man that looks crazy similar to your boyfriend has taken seat next to her. Gin immediately deduces it to be the other twin. Confidently she puts up a friendly smile.
"Atsumu. I came to surprise 'Samu. I was around the area." She explains.
Atsumu hums and lifts up a mug he had brought with him. He takes a thoughtful sip and brings the mug down again. It goes unnoticed by Gin that Atsumu stares at her out of the corner of his eye suspiciously.
Osamu returns around the booth and wipes his hands off on a clean towel.
"Hey, Love. What brings ya here?" He asks.
"I came to see you. And to eat some salmon onigiri please." She hums, beaming at him.
"Ya ate salmon onigir yesterday." He chuckles.
"Yeah but I want more today."
"Okay. It's comin' right up. I thought that's what you'd order." He hums back.
"Thanks. You're the best 'Samu."
She reaches out and grabs one of his hands, warmly rubbing over his hand with her thumb. He looks down at their hands and then looks back at her face.
He doesn't say anything, but it's clear that he's thinking. He doesn't pull his hand away though.
"What's wrong? Aren't you happy to see me?" She asks playfully.
He blinks and frowns a little.
"Um.... are you..... feeling okay? Or did 'tsumu trick ya into somethin'?" He asks quizically.
"No."
She glances at Atsumu who has turned in his stool to really look at her. Apparently both sense that something fishy is going on. Not bad.
"No I'm fine. Why do you ask?"
"You're talkin' kinda funny. It's not like you. I don't know.... you just.... feel different today." 'Samu explains. He sounds confused but before he can interrogate her more, a bell in the kitchen dings for him.
Saved by the bell, Osamu goes off and gives her an opportunity to regroup herself.
"So, where is she?"
Gin's head turns slowly towards Atsumu. He's leaning in, elbow on the counter and head in his palm. He's smiling at her, like someone who finally understood a good job.
"Who?"Gin asks, already knowing what he means.
"You know. Your twin. Or should I say, our twin. The one we know." He explains.
Words catch in her throat, she doesn't know what else to say to keep the game going. Atsumu chuckles.
"Come on. Me and 'Samu's played this game before. I know when a twin is trying be their other twin when it happens. You two are tryin' to prank us right?" Atsumu presses.
Well the gig is up. Gin sighs in defeat and rests her hands on the counter.
"I just wanted to test her boyfriend. See if he's worthy of my sister. We haven't spoken in forever and as soon as we moved away from our parent's home, she reached out to me first. She's so kind. All this time she never forgot about me. I want to make sure she's not with some jerk." She explains.
"I get it. Ha. Knew I was right. She's always so meek and shy. She sits in the back because she doesn't wanna distract Osamu. You're too outgoing to be her." Atsumu notes.
"I'll play along with your game for now." He adds.
"Thanks."
"But I ain't letting ya get any farther than hand holding and hugs got it?"
"I wasn't going to go any farther anyways."
Osamu returns from the kitchen with the salmon onigir and presents it in front of Gin with a heart around it. She smiles down at plate and then up at Osamu.
"Thanks 'Samu."
"Sure." He nods. There is still that quizzical expression on his face. He raises an eyebrow at his twin brother, but he only shrugs back in return.
"What did ya do today?" Osamu asks conversationally.
"I went out with an old friend of mine. We haven't each other in a while."
"Oh, cool. Which friend?"
"You wouldn't know her."
He does a double take of her and averts his gaze to lemonade processor. He fills up a lemonade cup and brings it for her.
"Did ya remember to pick up the groceries asked you to get fa' me this morning?" He asks.
Uh-oh. Something about that question sounds like a test. She glances at Atsumu who gives a subtle shake of his head.
"I.... think I forgot. I don't remember you telling me. I had plans already in my head this morning so it must have slipped my mind." She replies. He hums and turns away, busying himself with pulling the new mobile orders on his computer.
"Then, what was my volleyball number in high school?"
She blinks at him.
"Sorry?"
He repeats himself once more and this time side eyes her suspiciously as he does. He was onto her. She glances at Atsumu who lowers his hands to hide them under the counter.
"Don't help her Atsumu." Osamu orders.
She glances back up at him and makes a sad puppy face, hoping for some mercy.
"I-I don't remember Osamu."
"Really?"
He turns back around to them and approaches Gin, eyes squarely on her face.
"You know the second you came in I've been havin' a weird feelin' ya. You don't act right and you can't remember what my jersey number was. You would know that." He accuses.
Gin holds back the urge to smirk.
"I'm just tired today 'Samu--"
"I've figured it out. You're not my girl are ya?"
Her silence is enough for him.
"I remember she told me once in high school that she had a sister. She just never told me her sister was a twin sister. Am I right?"
"About time you figured it out." Atsumu hums.
"Shut up. Were you in on this 'Tsumu?"
"No. I just figured it out a little before you." He teases, sticking his tongue out in victory. Osamu sighs and stares pleasingly at Gin.
"Where's my girl?"
She ends up calling her and admitting that they passed her test. Seconds later she walks through the doors with an apologetic smile.
"I'm sorry Osamu." She apologizes. Osamu meets her half way and hugs her. He can't pin point why, but all of a sudden he really misses her.
"It's fine. I'll consider pay back for when me and Atsumu did it." He accepts.
He kisses her forehead and takes another good look at her.
"You're not a triplet are ya?"
She laughs shakes her head.
"Yeah? What's my--"
You're jersey number is 11. It was a black and golden uniform. You were an awesome wing spiker. You like pudding--"
He interrupts her with a kiss to her lips and turns her face beet red.
"'Samu! We're in public!" She complains.
"Sorry. Just wanted to make sure." He smiles.

Vice Versa rewatch ep. 2
All right here we go!
*squints trying to focus on all the Forest Green* what does it mean??? 😩
Tumblr media
The way they said Tun just “keeps cool” these days! But what they don’t know is that he’s actually Puen who got body-swapped into another universe and of course he’s freaking out on the inside but as a celebrity he has to present well on the outside so he “keeps cool” while not knowing what the heck happened!! He must’ve been so scared that whole time 😖
And the club is pink cause that’s where Talay first fell for Puen! 🥰 He knew he wasn’t Tun from the first glance! And Talay is literally the first good thing and first light of hope in Puen’s scary new world!
I remember so many people had an issue with Puen not telling Talay his real name but honestly it makes sense to me! When I was first watching this show I’d tell my sister little summaries of each episode so I could talk them out with her after watching and I don’t remember why but I started calling Puen Brad Pitt 😅 I think I used it as an example to be like “he’s super famous in their world like Brad Pitt is in ours”. And it makes sense that he wouldn’t want to be seen with whatever opinion people have already made about him. He just wanted to be a regular person and even after Talay got to know him and fall for him that fear of knowing him as “that celebrity that I have X opinion about” was still valid! The fear of losing the love he worked hard to get was strong 😢
—Please just give me a moment to simp 😅
Shirtless Jimmy and Sea are both so gorgeous!! Look at those muscles!! 😍 and their gorgeous faces!! What I’d give to be in a 3-way hug with them!!! 🙈 Aaahhh!!! 😆
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok thank you 😮‍💨😌—
We got the iconic “to be my wife you must endure” and “ai’Dang” quotes in this ep!
Was that password a “My Gear and Your Gown” quote now? 😁 I get it!
I’m thinking of Dol and how he must’ve felt waking up as a woman. He had to learn how to navigate the new world and how to navigate a new body. Do we think the woman he inhabited looked like that when he first switched over? Or did he cut her hair and change her wardrobe to feel more like himself? I mean there’s no telling how long you’ll be in the other world right? I don’t think it’s wrong to give the other person a temporary physical change. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be a man and I’ve always thought that shape shifting into different people like Mystique from X-Men would be a cool power to have.
We got a MilkLove cameo! 😊 I hope their characters had their own beautiful love story and found their way home too!
It’s crazy how this is only episode 2 but we can already see all the ways Puen and Talay go together! Puen’s joy in finally finding someone who can explain what’s going on and Talay being so surprised that they have similar tastes and them finding each other at the end of the maze!! They’re already looking at each other with at least stars in their eyes if not yet hearts! And Puen being so flirty when he said he’d be the one “hurting” Talay! 🤭🫣 Like yeah maybe the quiz matched them with the most similar person(?) but they’re already vibing so hard it’s obvious they’re meant to be together!
I’m so bad with metaphors and stuff so I can see the colors in the episodes but I struggle to see the deeper meanings of things. I’m trying harder this time around and I can see how the shades of green match the energy of the scenes now. I’ll keep trying to notice them!

Warning: Smutty talk, drinking, sibling 'rivalry' between Robin and Eddie
When Steve was 15, he had his own band, a psychedelic rock band called Shem. While he recorded a couple of albums, the band eventually fell apart and went their separate ways. No one knew that Steve Harrington was behind Shem. He had kept that private for a reason. It had disappointed him that the band hadn't worked out and even more so when he heard how disappointed what fans he had were. It surprised him to know that Eddie Munson was one of those fans.
"You've never heard of Shem?!" Eddie exclaimed.
"Nope, can't say that I have," Steve said, keeping a straight face.
He could practically feel Robin rolling her eyes from her spot beside him. He had gotten drunk one night and told her, showing her the video tape. Eddie, Steve, and Robin were hanging out at Steve's place when they started talking about the musicians they had crushes on. Eddie had brought up his first crush on the lead singer and guitarist of the band, Shem. He had no clue that he was sitting right next to him.
"I was 16 when I first heard him. It's such a shame that they didn't last very long. They're part of what inspired me to start my own band," Eddie said. "I think that if he was here right now, I would get on my knees and blow him."
Steve nearly choked on his beer. Robin patted him on the back and gave Eddie a look.
"Seriously?"
"You guys have a problem with me talking about blowing a guy?" He asked mockingly.
"Well, you know I'm a lesbian. So, yeah, problem," she said with a glare.
"Don't be homophobic, Robin," Eddie said, throwing a chip at her.
"Don't be lesbianphobic, Eddie," Robin replied, throwing the chip right back at him and he reached around Steve to flick her on the ear.
Robin shrieked and returned the favor. Eddie got up and chased her around the room. It turned into a wrestling match that ended with Robin winning by sitting on his back, pinning his arms beneath him, and playing his head like the bongos. Wayne always said that if Eddie had a sister, Robin would be it. That led to Robin calling him Uncle Wayne, and eventually, the rest of the party started to call him that as well. It also led to Eddie pouting that he had to share his uncle with everyone now. Wayne hit him over the head with a newspaper for that, especially when he got even grumpier when Dustin got Wayne a coffee mug for his birthday that said: everyone's favorite uncle.
"Uncle! Uncle!" Eddie cried and Robin got up off of him.
Eddie collapsed next to Steve, grinning. Steve laughed and shook his head at him.
"So, what about you? Do you have a problem with me talking about blowing a guy?" He asked.
"As long as you don't have a problem with me talking about blowing a guy and going down on a girl?" Steve asked with a raised eyebrow, and Eddie laughed.
"No, man, no problem with it. Didn't know that about you. Thanks for telling me," Eddie said with a gentle smile. "So, favorite male celebrity crush? Come on, I told you mine."
"I won't tell you his name, but he's more of a local celebrity," Steve said, blushing.
"Oooh, I love to guess," Eddie said, clapping his hands and shaking his head. "Local celebrity. . .local celebrity. Is it the weatherman?" Eddie asked, and Steve shook his head. "The news anchor?"
"Nope."
"The mayor!"
"Nope!"
"Ooh, I know! Hop! It's Hop. He is a local celebrity," Eddie said, clapping his hands.
"Well, I mean, not anymore, I don't," Steve said, blushing.
"Oh, you too! Once upon a time that was me as well," Eddie said with a giggle. "Ugh, the first time he arrested me. . . I definitely wanted to call him Daddy."
"Ew!" Robin exclaimed.
"I used to wish he would arrest me," Steve said, and the two boys clinked their beers together.
"Okay! I am ending this!" Robin exclaimed and stood up, leaving the room.
When she got back she put in a tape and handed Eddie the remote.
"I am going to sleep in the basement so that I don't have to hear anything," Robin said and proceeded to stomp downstairs.
Eddie played the tape and smiled when he saw 15 year old Steve surrounded by band members in his garage, a guitar in his hand.
"Oh man, you look so cute," Eddie said, nudging him. "This is going to be good."
Young Steve stepped up to the mic and started playing, then he started singing. Eddie gaped at the screen, having recognized the music, the sound of the singer's voice. The tape ended, and Eddie sat there, stunned. He shook his head, took off his vest, and put his hair into a ponytail. Eddie got up and knelt in front of Steve.
"Can I?" Eddie asked.
"Um, yeah," Steve said, and Eddie began to unbuckle his belt.
Later that night, Steve and Eddie laid naked in bed, wrapped up in each other's arms.
"Okay, I have to know now because we've had each other's dicks in our mouths and that's pretty intimate, who's your local celebrity crush?" Eddie asked.
"Eddie Munson," Steve replied with a laugh.
"Yeah, I think I know my own name," Eddie giggled. "But seriously, who's your crush?"
"No, that's my local celebrity crush. It's you," Steve replied.
"Oh, yeah, I am a local celebrity," he said, laughing and pouncing on Steve, straddling his waist. "It's funny how things work out."
"Stranger things and all that. . ."
Eddie silenced him with a kiss.

Can you please write some maddy Perez x fem reader please! If you’re comfortable with it !
of course I can!!!
Tumblr media
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒! kissing, makeout sessions, sexual references, talking about sex
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒! hell yeah I love this, it's a lyric fic!!!! based on the song Body Like A Back Road by Sam Hunt. on mobile, format might be weird. lowercase intended, unedited, double periods intended. no paragraphs in this, I dont like to add them to lyric fics. reader has braids in the first part? but it's just to match up with the song
maddy perez x fem!reader
"got a girl from the southside, got braids in her hair."
maddy was so lucky.
𝘴𝘩𝘦 got you, of all people
you were perfect.
you, with your perfect braids in your perfect hair and your perfect fucking eyes and your perfect fucking lips- okay I'm getting off track
if someone told her that her life was actually a dream, and she was asleep, she would believe them.
you were just that damn perfect.
"first time I seen her walk by, man i about fell up out my chair"
maddy met you on the southside of town, at the park near your house.
she was there with nate, sitting side-by-side on the swings but ignoring eachother. they had just gotten into a fight, but didnt want to leave him. she thought he was the love of her life.
and then she saw you
roller skating down the concrete path in the park with the sisters you were babysitting
she swears to god she almost fell off the swing when she made eye contact with you
"had to get her number, took me like 6 weeks"
maddy spent 5 weeks and 6 days trying to get your number.
talking to your friends was ruining her reputation a little too much, so she went to social media after she got your name
it sounds a little pitiful, but she was desperate
you searched your name on every social media platform she knew of
finally, she found you
after hours of scrolling through your photos, she found a picture of your class schedule that you posted at the beginning of the year.
and she found out that she actually had a couple classes with you
"now me and her go way back, like Cadillac seats"
after she finally talked to you, she convinced you to hang out with her
and she even got you to join the cheer squad
pretty soon, you two became best friends, but both of you knew that you liked each other.
well, maybe you loved each other.
after months of knowing you, she finally kissed you
and that was the start of an amazing relationship
"Body like a back road, Drivin' with my eyes closed. I know every curve like the back of my hand"
maddy knew everything about you and your body
you were perfect.
sure, she's said that before
but she really means it
like, she pictures you when she thinks of the word 'Goddess'
she knows exactly how to make you and your body happy
she'd do anything to make you happy
"Doin' 15 in a 30, I ain't in no hurry. I'ma take it slow just as fast as I can"
despite how quickly it seems you two got together, it actually went pretty slow
you were the first person maddy 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 wanted to spend time with, to take things slow with.
not because she didnt know how she felt, but because she wanted to savor every second she spent with you
she wanted to be with you forever, but she felt that forever isnt enough.
forever will never be enough.
"The way she fit in them blue jeans, She don't need no belt. But I can turn 'em inside out, I don't need no help"
god, the way your ass looked in those jeans was just perfect
she could cum just looking at you in them
or in anything, really
she's taken them off of you so many times that she can do it with her eyes closed and one-handed.
she loves the way you look.
"We're out here in the boondocks, With the breeze and the birds. Tangled up in the tall grass with my lips on hers."
ending this on a sweet note
she loves going out to the country with you
surrounded by nothing but fields and trees
sure, she loves the city
like, a lot
but she loves being alone with you even more
in the city, someone is bound to interrupt you.
she wants you to herself, and the best way to get that is to escape, run away.
so you do
every few weeks, you travel past the city limit and down the back roads to your spot.
nobody ever interrupted you, it was perfect.
everything was perfect.

Tumblr media
July, 2022
"You're sure they don't mind, right?" Mark asked her, still unsure whether her dorm mates minded that he was there.
Yerim shook her head, slightly smiling. "Don't worry about them, they never come into my room, I'm sure most of my members have never even seen my room." She reassured him, not wanting him to feel unwelcome. The pair was seated on her bed, away from the eyes of her dorm mates.
"Okay," he felt a bit more secure, "I'm very happy that we get to hangout like this, you know." He shyly confessed.
"Yeah? Me too." She matched his shyness, flustered by his sudden confession.
He scratched his voice. "I really like your room, btw. Did you decorate it yourself?" He asked her, looking around her room.
"Oh thanks, yeah I did, it's mostly pictures, though." She didn't find her room that special, it's mostly made up of pictures and gifts from loved ones.
His eyes fell upon her nightstand. "Are those your brothers?" Mark pointed at one of the pictures next to her bed, the one of Yerim with her younger brothers.
She smiled at the picture. "Yeah, my two little brothers." She answered him, taking the framed photo and showing it to Mark.
"They're younger than you? Oh shit, they're tall." His genuine surprised reaction, made her laugh.
"Yes, they're younger. This is Junghoon, he's only a year younger than us," she pointed at the tallest guy next to her in the picture, "and this is Jungwoo, our youngest, he's 4 years younger." Yerim explained to him, not being able to hide her proud smile while talking about her younger brothers.
"His name is Kim Jungwoo? Ha ha, I also have a brother whose name is Kim Jungwoo." He laughed, referring to his older member.
She chuckled. "That's right! What a coincidence."
He looked at the other picture on her nightstand. "And is that your sister?"
Yerim looked at the photo in question and gave him an awkward laugh. "That's not my sister, that's my mom." She corrected, placing the picture with her brother back in its place and taking her mother's instead.
"Wow, you two look so much alike. She looks so young!" He exclaimed, surprised at the fact that it's her mother.
She nodded. "Yeah, she was very young when she had me, she was only 22 years-old."
Mark listened attentively to her. "That is young, that's our age, I can't imagine having a kid now."
"Same, it's crazy when you think about it." Yerim had always been surprised by her parent's choice to have 3 kids at a young age.
He nodded at her words. "Yeah, it is, do you get to see your mom often?" Mark asked
Oh, boy, how she hated having these conversations. "Uh, no, my uh, my mom passed away when I was younger." Anytime she told someone her mother passed away, the atmosphere just turned super awkward.
"Oh, I'm sorry, fuck, I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have said anything." Mark panicked, his intention wasn't to upset her or to bring up painful memories of hers.
She put her hand on his knee. "Minhyung-ah, don't worry, it's okay, you didn't know." She eased his panic, well not totally, cause she put her hand on his knee and now his brain is malfunctioning again.
"I'm still sorry, I didn't upset you right?" Yerim felt like melting right on the spot, he looked so worried that he had upset her.
She shook her head. "No, you didn't." A small smile came through on his face. "Okay, that's good, that's like the last thing I want to do." He said while putting his hand on top of hers, his shyness from earlier almost completely gone.
Yerim couldn't help but start blushing. "It seems like I make you panic a lot, don't I?" She laughed, referring to their first conversation.
He laughed along with her. "Yeah, you do actually, you should stop with that." Despite saying she should stop, his tone implied she shouldn't.
"I don't mean to, it just happens, you know?" She felt herself getting more confident by the second, she wasn't nervous to tease him back.
They made silent eye contact for a few seconds, before Mark spoke up again. "So, you're going on tour, huh?" His hand still remained on top of hers, not planning on taking it off soon.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it." She smiled at the thought of performing on the big stage again.
"Where's the first stop?" He asked. She thought for a second. "Euhm, our first stop is in Vancouver, I think." She replied.
His face lit up. "No way, I grew up there! That's awesome!" He exclaimed, a bright smile covering his smile.
"That's right, you're from Canada!" She tried matching his energy, finding him cute.
"Yes, oh my god, I could give you like some places you could go, if you have time to explore the city?" He suggested to her.
More chances to talk to Mark? She'll gladly take them. "Yeah, I think we get a day to just roam around the city, I'll send you some pictures."
"I would definitely love some pictures." He smiled. "Do you get to go to Canada often?" Yerim asked him.
"Not really, when we go on tour, but that's not always the case." The smile on Mark's face slightly falters. His answer saddened her, that must be hard for him.
She moved her hand from under his and gave it a squeeze. "I don't personally know what it's like to be that far away from your loved ones, but some of my members are also in that situation, so I understand that it's difficult." She tried to comfort him.
"Thanks, I appreciate it, Yerim." He gave her a sad smile, still a bit in his feelings. She wanted to fix that.
She moved her hand to his shoulder, grabbing his attention. "Do you need a hug?" She asked him, hoping she wasn't crossing any boundaries.
His eyes met hers, finding nothing but sincerity in her eyes and he gives her a small nod. She moved both her arms around his neck, while his hands went around her waist. She could feel the tension leaving his body, as he melted into their hug.
He put his face in her neck. "Yerim-ah?" His voice a bit muffled.
"Hm?"
"I really needed this."
A small graced her face. "Well, you're lucky I'm here then." She was screaming on the inside, but remained reserved on the outside.
He chuckled at her words. "I am, yeah."
They pulled away, but one of Mark's hands stayed on her waist. She looked at him and noticed how close his face was to hers. Mark looked down at her lips and she understood what he wanted to do, so she gave him a small nod. He let out a small smile before bringing his face closer to her.
"Hey, guys!"
The pair quickly moved away from each other, surprised by Joshua's sudden appearance.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't want to interrupt anything." He said in a teasing tone, a smirk present on his face.
Yerim scoffed. "You forget how to knock all of a sudden?"
"You normally don't have guests in your room." His teasing continued, he really has no shame.
"And he calls himself a gentleman." She said in a hushed voice, making Mark chuckle.
Joshua was about to say something back, but got interrupted.
"I didn't know there was a hangout going on here!" The one and only Wen Junhui made an appearance.
Yerim could die. "What are you doing here? You don't even live here." She argued.
"Kim Yerim, be nice to your brother, he used to feed you as a baby!" Joshua argued her back, with his Shua nonsense.
She furrowed her eyebrows. "Just because he made my lunch when I went to high school," she put the emphasis on high school, " doesn't he can barge into my room, the same goes for you Mr.Gentleman!" She pointed at Joshua.
"Hey, is there a party happening without us?" Sooyoung and Doyoung stood outside her open door. This is a lost cause, Yerim thought to herself.
"Come in, guys!" Joshua cheered, urging them to join.
Yerim put her hands before her face in frustration. Mark patted her back, feeling bad for her. He, also, felt frustrated. He had been building up the courage and the moment it was going to happen, it got interrupted.
"I would love to, but euhm our manager is here, so we have to go." Doyoung said, looking at Mark in particular.
"Uh, yeah" Mark awkwardly got up and looked at Yerim, who then got up as well. "I'll go to the door with you." She said.
Joshua tried to stop her. "He can walk by himself, can't you Mark?"
"You're still here, Joshua?" Yerim had enough of everyone and motioned for Mark to keep walking to their front door.
Doyoung and Soonyoung were already standing outside, but Yerim stopped Mark.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know they were gonna do that." She apologized to him.
He waved his hands. "No, it's alright, it's not your fault, don't worry about it." He reassured her.
"I really enjoyed it, though." She told him, getting shy again, her confidence from earlier totally gone.
Mark blushed at her statement. "Me too, thanks for letting me come over." He was probably going to smile the entire day.
"No problem, it was my pleasure."
He took a step closer to her and spoke in a hushed tone. "I really want to give you a kiss right now, but your members are giving me dead stares from behind you, so I'll just wait for next time."
"I'll wait then." She told him.
"Alright, bye Yerim." She waved at him and Doyoung as they left. As soon as they were out of sight, she turned around to see Coups, Joshua, Minghao, Jun and Soonyoung standing behind her.
"What the fuck was that?" She didn't hesitate calling them out.
"What do you mean?" Joshua said innocently, pretending like he didn't know what she was talking about.
Their leader decided to chime in. "I'm sure they were just teasing you." He defended them.
"You don't get any say in this, you weren't even there." She argued, completely done with them.
"What were you two even doing? You two sat really close to each other." Joshua started again.
She glared at him. "That's none of your business." Despite her frustrations, she remained calm.
"Hey, that's enough you two." Coups interjected, not wanting this to get out of hand.
Yerim moved past them, wanting to get away. "Where are you going, Yerim-ah?" Soonyoung asked.
"To my room and that means I want to be alone." She yelled through the dorm, not bothering to stop walking. The guys slightly flinched as Yerim shut her door very loudly.
Jun turned to Joshua and patted his shoulder. "Good luck with that."
"He's gonna need it."

The Life You Deserve
After years of running, Will finally learns to slow down.
An Epilogue to “Guilty until proven innocent” and “My reputation’s never been worse”
TW: vague references to attempted suicide
Will cradled the black and white puppy to his chest who was determinedly gnawing at the gold oak leaf pendant that swung from his neck. Will shifted the pup away from the chain and waved to the approaching riders. The rider in the lead dismounted and unlatched the gate that lead into the property.
“Will!” Horace shouted, dropping Kicker’s reins and engulfing Will into a bear hug. The puppy yipped and squirmed between them.
“Careful Horace, you’ll squish her.” Will laughed as he took a step back.
“She’s adorable.” Horace cooed. “Can I hold her?”
Will passed the puppy to Horace who happily let her lick his face.
“Now you’ve done it, he’s going to be begging me to let us bring her home with us.” Cassandra said as she sidled up besides Will. He wrapped his arm over her shoulders and pulled her into his side.
“She’s extremely clinging and constantly hungry. Her and Horace are a match made in heaven.” He teased. Cassandra snorts and reaches out to ruffle Will’s long hair. He’s got a thin piece of leather tied around his head, holding it back from falling into his eyes. He laughs and tries to duck out of her reach.
“Does she have a name?” Horace asked. He was now cradling the puppy on her back and she was pawing at his chest.
“Alyss and Bob banned me from naming any living creature again after the first litter. I still stand by my choices.”
“Naming a puppy “Ears” is just plain cruel.” Alyss called out as she approached. She hugged Cassandra and kissed Horace’s cheek.
Will held his hands up in defense, “It was a fitting name. He had ears the size of dinner plates.”
“It was bullying and I refuse to allow that behavior.”
“Yeah Will,” Horace smirks, “That’s like if you were named Shorty rather than Treaty.” Will lunges over to shove Horace, but he holds the puppy out in front of his chest. “You can’t attack me when I’m holding this precious baby.”
“That’s enough boys.” Alyss rolls her eyes, “I’ve got coffee and tea made, and it’s not getting any warmer.”
The four of them make their way up to the little, newly build cabin that sat across from the large barn. They passed by a fenced paddock. Old Bob was inside with a young chestnut colt and a large black and white shepherd. He waved to them but quickly turned his attention back to the animals.
“That’s Harlow.” Will pointed to the dog, “She’s the puppy’s big sister.”
“What’s Bob doing?” Cassandra asked.
“He’s getting the colt used to dogs being underfoot. Harlow’s fast and good at avoid flying hooves so we use her with the younger or more skittish horses.” Will explained as he opened the cabin door and welcomed his friends inside.
“Welcome to my humble abode.” He smiled. The cabin was simple but clean. The smell of pine sap and peppermint flooded the space, and fresh cut wildflowers sat on each windowsill.
“It’s lovely Will. I can’t believe you built it yourself.” Cassandra praised.
“I had help. Gilan spent a solid two weeks out here when I was felling trees, and Halt came out every weekend he wasn’t on assignment.”
“Still, it was mostly you Will. You deserve to be proud of it.” Alyss squeezed his arm.
Will smiled at her. He was proud. Building this cabin had given him the much needed time to rebuild himself. The countless hours he spent on it had brought him peace and satisfaction.
“You have a lot to be proud of according to Crowley. He says that your training plan has already been more successful than he could have anticipated.” Horace grins, always happy to shower his friends with the praise they deserve.
“We’ve still got a long way to go, but our test groups have been going quite well if I’m being honest.” It hadn’t taken Will long to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. He knew that he still wanted to help people in whatever capacity he could, but he was finished with violence and danger. After a long discussion with Halt and Crowley, he had been granted the opportunity to do just that. He moved in with Old Bob and together they started a pilot program of raising and training dogs to work along side rangers and their horses. It was a peaceful and safe life filled with joy and freedom. They weren’t far from Redmont, but far enough to give Will the space he needed to recover.
—————
Hours passed as the friends caught up, happy to be able to speak face to face rather than over letters. As afternoon trickled into evening, Will invite Horace to walk the property with him.
“Your life here is everything I’ve ever wanted for you.”
Will purses his lips, “It’s more than I deserve.”
“No Will, it’s not. After everything you’ve been through, everything you have survived, this is the least you deserve.” Horace paused and Will stopped besides him. “Are you happy Will?”
“Happier than I have been in longer than I care to admit.” Will tells him candid.
Horace grins, “I can’t begin to tell you how glad that makes me.”
Will looks back towards the cabin, a tender expression settling on his face. “I’m going to ask Alyss to marry me.” He confesses.
“Really? That’s fantastic Will!” And it was. Horace knew that this more than anything was proof that Will was healing. In the early months after Will’s return, Horace had spent countless nights comforting Will, reassuring him that they all still loved him. That they didn’t think he was damaged or dirty or a monster. He had talked him off the ledge on numerous occasions. Horace shuttered internally as memories of when that wasn’t just a turn of phrase. Of griping onto Will’s arm and hulling him over the Castle’s edge, holding his resisting friend close against his chest until the fight finally left him in a mess of tears and unnecessary apologies. So many times over that first year Will had doubted his worth. Had been convinced that Alyss could never love him, should never love him. For him to ask her to marry him, it just went to show everyone how far his mental state has come.
“Halt’s been on my case about it. He keeps hinting towards grand babies. Pauline claims she tells him not to pressure us, but I’m almost certain she’s trying to pull some sort of reverse psychology on me.”
“I wouldn’t put it past her. She’s sharper than all of us.” Horace clears his throat. “Um, in the spirit of divulging secrets-“
“I mean, my proposal isn’t exactly a secret per say-“
“Cassandra is pregnant.”
Will’s face cracked into a huge grin. “Congratulations! That’s amazing, I am so happy for you both.”
Horace narrows his eyes at Will.
“What?” Will asks innocently.
“You knew.” It wasn’t a question.
Will considers denying it, but gives in. “Cassandra wrote me when she realized. She wanted advice on how to tell you.”
“You knew before me?” Horace’s words boarder on a whine that Will finds equal obnoxious and endearing.
“I’m her best friend Horace and your brother, of course I knew. She knows that all of us ward kids have weird issues when it comes to children and parenthood.”
“She was worried I’d be upset?”
“No.” Will insisted. “She just, need to hear a little reassurance from someone in a similar boat, that’s all.”
“I am a little freaked out at the idea of being a dad.” Horace admitted.
“I understand. Believe me, I’m terrified at the prospect.”
“Thankfully, we both ended up with pretty amazing women. Who won’t take any self deprecating crap from us.”
“I thank god every night Alyss. For all of you. I don’t even want to think about where I’d be without you.” Will stares out at the sky, aflame with brilliant reds and oranges at the sun sets across the rolling hills.
Horace rests his hand on Will’s shoulder and squeezes it. “Then it’s a good thing you’ll never have to find out.”
A/N: I am so grateful for the community I have found through this series and I am glad to finally give you all the happy ending you deserve.
(Other than that one weird hater whose comments I have to keep deleting, I’m not that grateful to you tbh)

LOSER'S BRACKET ROUND 1! MATCH 7 OUT OF 8
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda Under the Cut:
Queen Red Riding Hood
General Propaganda:
She's a girlboss who is sometimes a little vain but still loves her friends and will do anything to save her kingdom. Also she was in love with a guy since she was like 8 and he continuously rejected her, and then she found out he was in love with her archenemy. So yeah, she needs this.
She's kinda spoiled and high maintenance but gets better. I just think she's a fun character
i loved the land of stories series as a kid and i especially loved red because shes sooo full of herself and wears beautiful dresses and expensive jewelry and stuff (she became a queen lol) but also she does come to genuinely care for people and her friends and has a good heart (even if she does brag about it) she’s a very funny character x)
She’s a great example of how sudden fame and wealth at a young age can go to your head, and she gets great character development about it. She has an entire giant chamber in her castle full of baskets (it’s unfortunately quite flammable). My most favorite detail about her is when she finds a wolf pup in the woods, she assumes it’s a dog and names him Clawdius (yes, spelled like that). Everyone else knows it’s a wolf but no one wants to be the one to tell her. She learns the truth and gets over it and now Clawdius is her guard wolf. (Oh also she had the original Big Bad Wolf made into a winter coat, and that’s the original reason Clawdius came to her) I love her, she’s married to a giant frog man, she got elected queen, please vote for her.
Queen Red ftw!!!!!!
As you can see from these little excerpts [Mod's note: click on link to look at the excerpts] that I managed to gather in less than ten minutes, you should vote for Queen Red :D
YESSSS VOTE FOR QUEEN RED, SHE DESERVES THIS SO MUCH
Vote for Queen Red TLoS!!! She's a girlboss who married a frog man :D
Loser's Bracket Propaganda:
Queen Red deseves to win so much, she's been through so much shit for the people she loves.
Queen Red Riding Hood is a bimbo who has moments of truly genuine and deep analysis and understanding also c’mon, Clawdius!! Her enemy is the Big Bad Wolf Pack and yet she still has her own good beloved pet wolf
Red riding hood (tlos) deserves to win because she accidentally got her friend put on a wanted list when she was a kid then she got elected queen at a young age let the power get to her head then she fell in love with a giant frog (HUGE) character development and he made her a better person by opening her mind a little and she should win because shes come for far and she deserves it
The Path sisters
General Propaganda:
Each of these girls deal with their personal demons- in this case, "wolves-" as they grow and mature on the path of life. Each of them represent a different stage of a young person's life as they go through the world and the different ways in which that world can turn on that young person when they allow themselves to get lost in a dense forest, culminating in their reflection on the life they led.
the path is just a really cool underrated game idk man
i just really really like the path 🤷‍♂️
I will admit I'm only familiar with The Path through Izzzyzzz's seminal video on the subject but her Vibes are pretty iconic
(Scarlet) Most underrated sister imo. Her story is hauntingly sad and has themes of "lost of childhood" in a completely opposite way from the original Red Riding Hood, a good twist on the story.
(Ruby) The most well-known of the Path girls and the most goth, I get very sad when I see her. I know "teen angst" is a joke but sometimes I see reminders of just how full of despair teenagers can be. Her self-destructive tendencies and her "Charming Wolf" are leading her down a path (pun intended) that could kill her if she is not saved in time. It's so easy to dismiss teenage impulsion but only the survivors can.
(Ginger) Girl is so queer. Love that for her.
(Ginger) lesbiam
(Robin) Little girl sees giant wolf and wants to take it for a ride. Nuff said. (Also her room is the scariest imo. A child learning about death and their own mortality is mundane but terrifying)
Loser's Bracket Propaganda:
The Path Sisters are just ones I know too much about because of watching a video essay about them and also I think they parallel the narrative of the original fairytale really well

hi do not mind me i just got emo about winter schnee and the ending of v8 and so my first finished rwby vignette has been completed... no v9 spoilers! just spoilers for the v8 finale
~~
in the swirling yellows of the sandstorm, white doesn’t stand out much at all.
the sharp blues of the winter maiden power, though, makes winter a beacon as she lands on her feet outside of a rapidly closing portal. thousands of eyes turn to her, and yet she seeks out the only ones that truly matter in that moment– two pairs of twin blue eyes that are so familiar and yet so distant, the only people in the world who matter.
she had tried to put the world first, once. isn’t that why she listened to james for so long? why she had prioritized her mission over all else? nothing would matter so long as she kept in line and protected the people, but she had slipped, and now…
…and now she has nothing. not james, who had betrayed his own heart and her own in turn, a shadow of the man she once knew. not penny, sweet penny, who had given her life so that winter may take her place as the protector of mantle– a foolish wish, though, since when has winter ever been able to protect anybody?
and not weiss.
winter’s fist clenches against the hilt of her sword, and she brushes through the crowd; she can only imagine what expression must be plastered on her face. her hair slips free of its bindings, and she doesn’t have the presence of mind to sweep it back in place as she staggers through.
people are calling her name. she hears it. unfortunately for them, echoed in the season she was named after, she only hears the word that symbolizes her own failure.
winter.
you were supposed to be good enough, winter.
you were supposed to help people, winter!
“-winter!”
winter snaps out of her dull misery just in time to see her sister’s silly little friends, the ones that had insisted on killing themselves for a chance to save someone they loved, and something inside of her tightens. they came back from that mission with their friend alive.
“what happened?” the red-haired one asks almost desperately, and when winter presses her lips together, she just nods resolutely, seeming to understand. “yeah, we can talk after we fight… this. can we fight this? where’s penny?”
“penny is gone,” winter says, even as she presses a hand to her chest, feels the smallest spark of green lingering there. “you only have me now.” and maybe this time i’ll be enough.
“what about team rwby?” the other asks, dark eyes bearing into winter’s soul– she hasn’t forgotten the way he had called her out on the ship not that long ago.
team rwby. somehow, winter had thought that the other three had made it here– had made it out alive. and yet, as she scans the citizens of atlas and mantle, she only sees the huntresses she had once looked down upon for committing treason against the high council– she does not see her sister’s team.
so they all fell then. winter’s heart sinks even further, and she purses her lips, giving a small shake of her head. “gone as well. i… i had hoped…”
“we can talk about it later!” the girl proclaims, yanking the boy away from winter, blazing determination in her eyes. “right now, we have people to protect! the grimm are everywhere!”
“right.” the boy says, and he settles against the girl’s side, his dark eyes matching her determination. winter would have never admit it before, but she might begrudgingly see why her weiss had found a home with these two.
weiss…
enough. winter shakes her head, and she clenches her fists, the power of the maiden springing to her. “you two get these people into a crowd,” she commands. “scattered as they are now, they make for easy pickings. we need a way out of this sandstorm.”
“yes ma’am!” the girl choruses, and both spring into action– and, as winter watches them carefully, other hunters and huntresses follow their lead, corralling the citizens of atlas and mantle into a crowd guarded carefully.
amongst those citizens are winter’s mother and brother. winter can spot them now: she can see the way her mother’s arm curls whitley against her side, protecting him even as they stand their own in the sea of people. somehow, weiss had coaxed their gentle giant of a mother from her sorrow, a feat winter never managed before she had left.
winter couldn’t tell them of weiss’s fate. not yet. not when the grimm fed on their despair, attracted to their darkness.
one more thing to bottle. one more thing to keep tangled inside of her until it spilled from her lungs like a broken inkwell.
i’ll keep them all safe for you weiss, winter vows, and as she commands the power of the maiden, urges it to take her into the skies, she presses a clenched fist to her chest, holding the last remnants of her grief there before it is all swallowed down. i won’t let your sacrifice be in vain.
and it’ll have to be enough, for now.

CAUTION: Protective Big Brother || R.L
MASTERLIST Summary: Remus Lupin fell in love with the one girl he shouldn’t. Y/N Potter. James’ little sister (by a year).
Warning: sexual innuendos, over protective brother, kissing, slightly implied bisexual Remus (blink and you’ll miss it)
A/N: I reposted this from my old account because it got a lot of likes.
Tumblr media
Two months, 3 weeks and 2 days. That is how long I have dating my brother’s best friend. We’d been trying to keep our relationship a secret yet that is rather difficult when we have to share dorms.
It all started in January after a full moon. I was tending to Remus’ scars on his chest whilst the boys were off doing God-knows-what, he ‘accidentally’ confessed his feelings in his cute sleepy daze. The night after, we had a study date that turned into a proper date after we started kissing. We decided to keep our new found relationship a secret from James, meaning we can’t tell anyone.
However, we were caught on numerous occasions. Remus and I were studying in his dorm when we became distracted by each other’s lips. But Lily, Mary and Peter decided to walk in on the exact moment I straddled my boyfriend. They all promised not to tell my brother. The one instant I thought our relationship was definitely over was when Sirius walked into the broom closet Remus and I were making out in. The moment we really thought the relationship was over when James walked into my dorm, unannounced, to find me underneath a shirtless Remus.
“Shit! James,” Remus cussed as he stood up and grabbed his shirt that was thrown, by me, beside the bed.
“James!” I screeched, “what the hell are you doing in my room?!”
“I wanted to know what you got mum for her birthday!” James cried, “what in Merlin’s name are you doing with my sister, Moony?!”
“Would you believe me if I said we were studying,” I asked, making a shrugging gesture.
“Studying what?! Human anatomy?!” He screamed as he stomped over to his brunette friend. The commotion must have been loud enough to hear through the open door because Lily and Sirius ran into the room with matching confused faces.
“What in the world is going on ‘ere,” Lily asked. She must have put the pieces together and realised what happened when her boyfriend quickly pulled out his want to point it at Remus.
“Hey, hey, hey! Prongs, let me explain before you fucking kill me!” Remus responded to his movement in a more annoyed voice than a scared one, hands up in surrender.
“Yeah!” Sirius added, “put y’bloody wand away.”
“He’s shagging my sister!” James argued. He sounded upset. “There’s three people that I warned you all not to date. Lily, Snivelous and MY LITTLE SISTER!”
“In our defence we haven’t.. done that,” I cringed at my words, “anyways, I’m seventeen! I can make my own decisions.”
“I trusted Remus would never go against what I said. I thought if anyone would go behind my back to kiss you, it would be Sirius.”
“Wow! Thanks man,” Sirius rolled his eyes.
“Look James. I’m sorry for lying to you but I really like her. It’s not just a stupid hook up,” Remus sighed.
James looked at him skeptically before slipping his wand into his trousers’ pockets. “Okay,” he nodded.
“Okay?” The lycanthrope furrowed his eyebrows.
“I’m not angry about you two anymore. I know you don’t need my permission, but you have it,” James sighed.
“I am sorry Jamie,” I grimaced.
“BUT! No kanoodling or yucky stuff. No snogging or lovey dovey stuff in front of me,” he made dramatic hand gestures as he spoke. “Oh and if you hurt her, Remus, I will slit you throat.” He said causally as he walked off through the door.
“You two are really cute together,” Lily smiled sweetly as Sirius and her walked out the room. Sirius was obviously still offended by James comment from earlier.
“So that went well,” I spoke after a moment of silence.
“Yes it did,” Remus replied as he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me into a kiss.

stupid thing i wrote while jetlagged
a few days ago i submitted a concept for a fanfic and some art to @dweamisland and i finally wrote it. Have a poorly written thingy because my grammar sucks and i was really jetlagged when i wrote this
(this takes place in a rural country town [imagine fredericksburg texas because i have been there and imagine it not being an attraction and more of a small spread apart southern town] because thats what i headcanon, human au, most stuff is based of dweamisland’s headcanons because they are the best headcanons)
It was a hot summer day, the sun was sizzling on the wooden floors of Flame [firey] Ash’s porch. They were kicking a ball in their small backyard while his older sister Matheia [Match] was sitting on a lawn chair taking care of her tamagotchi. Their name was Asul.
“Ugh! Flame, do you know how you play correctly with Asul?” Matheia grumbled while her head was crunched on her knees.
“Nope, but I know how to do this..!” Flame exclaimed, and kicked the ball high into the air. Matheia squealed as the ball zipped past her.
The ball hit a wall-hung lantern by the door. The lamp shattered and the lightbulb depleted. Matheia flinched as the glass fell onto the grass. Flame suddenly slipped and scraped himself up.
Matheia huffed and pulled Flame to their feet. “You need to be more careful…Come on let’s go inside and I’ll fix you up…” Matheia said as she guided Flame across the yard, careful not to step on any glass as they were both barefoot.
She foraged through the cabinets for bandages. She wiped him down, put some bandages on Flame and went to her room to watch Sailor Moon.
Firey slumped on the kitchen chair, looking at the faulty faucet drip water.
The repetitive sound was interrupted when he heard a ring at the doorbell. He peeped out the window to see who it was, and he nearly doubled over in his chair when he saw her.
It was that cute girl who delivered newspapers, Flame always watched when she rode past the house. He always grabbed the newspapers eagerly, nearly tripping himself on the boiling hot porch. Then he gazes hazily at her, as the wind blows through her hair. Matheia loved to tease him about his crush. Firey denied it, she was cute but why would he like her? Right?
Once she looked right at them and smiled, he nearly fainted.
This happened time and time again, he slowly started to crush on her…yet his stubborn personality prevailed, oblivious to what he felt.
It was not Sunday though, why was she here? Not like Flame was complaining…
He opened the door, and saw the girl. Even cuter close up..She had tan freckled skin, green hair, hazel eyes and a bright smile on her face.
“Uh—Hello. I’m Flame, how can I help you?” He smiled nervously.
The girl chuckled. “Hi, I’m Leah Límon. (Leafy) My grandma told me to go meet new kids on the street. Can I come in?” Leah said in her sleepy voice and smiled.
Flame nodded with an inaudible squeak of joy and anxiety, and told her to come in. “So, you live with your grandma?” Flame asked. “Yeah…” Leah sighed.
“My mom got me and my sister a Nintendo, Matheia always wins…Do you wanna play Mario Kart?” Flame exclaimed. Leah nodded and they started up the system.
Leah picked Luigi as her character. “What? I wanted to be Luigi…” Flame groaned. “Too bad~!” Leah exclaimed tunefully. Flame selected Mario Circuit. Leah won.
“Haha! Yes!” She smiled in victory. “You only won because you got a bullet bill at the last second…Her laugh was genuine and set Flame’s heart beating fast. They talked for a little bit, but it was so hot they could barely focus. “I need something cold…” Flame sighed, dehydrated as a desert.
“Let’s make lemonade!” Leah perked up. “I made it all the time for me and my grandma, and it's super refreshing!” She explained. “That sounds awesome, but we don’t have any lemons!” Flame sighed.
“Oh no!.. Well, we can buy some at the store. Let’s go on my bike!” She suggested. They both went to Leah’s bike and sat on it.
“Hold on to me so you don’t fall.” Leah said. “Oh..Uh okay!” Flame complied. This made him flustered and he did not know why. They rode off to the grocers and wandered around in the produce section for lemons. The mist machines refreshed them and replenished their energy. Leah found the crate of lemons and examined her choices. “Flame, come here…” She said in a quiet voice. He came over and looked at her confused.
“What are you doing?” He asked. “I’m a fruit whisperer, I pick fruit in my backyard and make food for me and my grandma. I know which lemon is bad and which lemon is good.” Leah explained, holding lemons, squeezing them, tapping them and more.
Flame being the impatient tween that he is, he quickly got irritated with this. “Are you done?” He mumbled. “Yeah, yeah..Okay! These are the perfect lemons.” She said, and put them in her wick basket. She asked how much it would cost, and it was 2$ for a pound of lemons. Flame shuffled through their pockets, looking for any coins or dollars. They were empty.
“Don’t worry, I have 5 dollars from my chores.” Leah smiled. Her head barely peaked over the counter. She put down the lemons and the money.
After they had gone home, Flame wanted to cut the lemons. When he cut his first one, a squeeze of lemon juice shot out of the lemon and into his eye. He inhaled sharply and rubbed his eye.
“You are not doing it right.” Leah said. “Oh yeah?” Flame scoffed. “Yeah.”
“Do not apply too much pressure to the knife, because it could slip or the juice could go into your face.” She instructed, and held his hand accordingly, guiding it.“Yeah, like that.” She smiled. Flame was flushed, like a tomato.
Flame blushed and thanked her. They squeezed the lemons into the glass and put water and ice into it. Leah rummaged through the cabinets for sugar. She opened the bag and put some in. “Let’s see how it tastes…” She smiled, and clinked her glass against Flame’s. “Uh..yeah!” He snapped out of his trance, and drank some.
A sour taste filled both of their mouths, not good like a lemon tart but more intense and pricked at their taste buds. Leah swallowed it and sighed. They needed more sugar.
So, they took turns putting more sugar until it was perfect. Not too sour or sweet, just right. When they finally found the perfect lemon to sugar ratio, Leah turned on the radio and they danced together. When they were worn and exhausted, to the point they couldn’t dance any more, Flame told Leah to come outside.
They brought their pitcher with them, and Leah happily poured it into his glass. They sat on the lawn chairs drinking lemonade and chatting as the sun set. Flame still could not believe this girl knew his name. Why was he like this..?
“Leah, why do you live with your grandma and not your parents?” He asked. “My dad is living in a different house right now. My mom died because of childbirth issues, so my Grandma takes care of me, and I take care of her.” Leah explained. “I’m sorry.” Flame said, embarrassed that he even asked that.
“Don’t worry, I have a good life. And it just got better because of you!” Leah smiled right at him. Leah looked at the sky and frowned. “It’s getting kind of dark. I should get home, but hey…I really think we should be friends! See you!” She exclaimed, and hugged Flame. She got on her bike, winked at him and rode away.
Flame was dumbfounded on what just happened, in his hazy trance he stumbled inside where he found Matheia sitting on the couch. “What’re you doing?” He asked. “I found an old tape in the attic.” She said. “How was your day?”
“You have no idea…”

I love Katniss but sometimes she gets on my nerves she had Peeta Mellark. (PEETA MELLARK!) Angel of a boy want to cuddle and play with her hair and would risk his life for her and the rooftop date and didn't ever really expect reciprocated feelings no matter how hard it was for him and she just was like 👀 "I don't see anything like it's all an act like I don't feel the same" HELLO WHAT I wish my love life was hers like Im crushing on my ex guy friend I don't rlly speak to anymore it's BAD
Well, Peeta Mellark is the ultimate fictional boyfriend so yeah, while I was reading THG I had a lot of moments where I shook my head at Katniss when she passed up opportunities to explore or embrace her feelings for Peeta.
I am of the mindset that she felt differently for him/had a slight crush on him early on but struggled with admitting it to herself. Now I don't blame it all on Katniss. There were a lot of contributing factors to many of the misunderstandings that happened to hinder them forming a romantic relationship.
Namely, Peeta never talked to her before the Games. So...when you say she thought it was all an act that's because she had a legitimate reason to believe it was for most of the first book. They didn't know each other. Sure, she knew he was a nice guy, but they were forced to became tributes in The Hunger Games. Katniss figured all bets were off at that point, and they could never even be friends. Because they would have to kill each other or watch the other die in the arena. So she tried really hard not to get attached. (And Katniss is good at not getting attached. Like, she could teach a master class on the subject)
She operated with a survivor's mentality and she thought for sure that Peeta would abandon his nice guy persona in order to survive. Because that's what the Games did to people. Stripped them of their humanity and turned them into something they were not. It was a rare thing that Peeta had such a strong sense of self and high moral character and didn't succumb to the barbaric kill or be killed attitude when it came to Kantniss.
Also, Peeta declaring his love for her on national tv WAS BOTH a strategy to win the Games (for Katniss, but it ended up helping him too) and also a confession of his true feelings. It also scared the shit out of Katniss, because she was trying to prepare herself to go into a gladatorial death match and kill other kids her age, not get caught up in a teenage romance. Her mind was focused on coming home to her sister and mother, and handsome nice guy Peeta was acting all SUS around her. First being friendly, then wanting to train alone, then declaring feelings for her out of the blue, then allying with the careers, then betraying the careers to help her.
Homeboy had Katniss going back and forth so many times he must have given her whiplash. Now, its easy to see how much he loved her from the perspective of the observer. Readers can look back and say how obvious it was that Peeta was being genuine. Hindsight is 20/20 after all. But Katniss couldn’t read Peeta’s mind. And for all this talk about how Peeta had a way with words he left out some important information and failed to have a lot of honest and blunt conversations. (And Katniss is someone who needs things spelled out very bluntly for her.) She is not good at figuring out people’s motives, she assumes everyone is like her and is operating on a need to survive 24/7. In the first book she can’t even fathom someone being motivated by romantic love or a noble cause. (Until Peeta gives her his I don’t want to become somehting I’m not speech) That’s why she missed all of Peeta’s signals. Because he was speaking a language she doesn’t understand.
And that’s why their love story is so hard fought and hard won. Because Katniss has to learn, and basically teach herself to be emotionally vulnerable again after being subjected to so much tragedy and horror. I mean the girl fell in love in a span of two years in between two hunger games and a literal war. I think if their lives had been a little more stable, and if there hadn’t been so much pressure on them to perform and keep up the act, then Katniss would have worked out how she felt about Peeta a lot quicker.
The good news is she eventually got it right. She loved Peeta back in a way that was healthy for both of them. And Peeta fell back in love with her too. I know sometimes it’s hard to acknowledge that the struggle had to happen the way it did for the end result to be worth it, but I think for the most part Peeta’s investment in Katniss paid off.
Now, when I look at Katniss’ love life I don’t envy her at all. She had a lot of tough choices to make and she was put in a lot of difficult situations while she had to make them. I mean, you can’t have the kind of bond Katniss and Peeta have without the Hunger Games. Yes, they could have still fallen in love in an alternate universe but it would have been different. They would have been different people, and had a very different relationship. So, no. I really don’t think anybody should envy Katniss’ love life because it was a messed up dumpster fire. She went through so much turmoil and heartache, and not all of it was her fault, as I pointed out.
Life is not always like books. And sometimes that’s a good thing. I think Peeta is awesome but I’m glad he’s a fictional character in a story because that also means the Hunger Games are fictional. The rest of us real people have opportunities to go out and find love on our own terms without the threat of being thrown into an arena and facing imminent death. Also a good thing.
Everyday is a gift, and an opportunity. So, if you are considering a relationship with someone, do it on your own terms, and for the right reasons. Real love is messy even without the Hunger Games. But I hope you find that special someone who makes you as happy as Peeta makes Katniss.
Good luck anon, and may the odds be ever in your favor. <3

they call it team spirit (or princess experiences gay panic)
Totally inspired by Owl House. Tumblr finally convinced me to watch it, so i turn it on when i need a break from studying. It's very cute! I'm almost done with season 1. Amity is my girl, but I fucking love Hooty.
forewarning: double dashes ("--") are supposed to be em-dashes, but tumblr never lets me use them correctly.
--------------------------------------------------------------
"Princess!" Blossom zipped over, helping her to her feet, "Princess! We did it!"
Princess blinked, looking over the main field of Townsville's Park. The City usually reserved the area for rugby matches or pick-up football games, but this afternoon it had been the home field for a game of life and death--something HIM had aptly named HIMball.
"I-I guess we did," Princess gaped, looking over what remained of the field. The once green playing field was filled with craters and smoldering with ash, and in the middle of it, she could see Buttercup and Bubbles celebrating, swinging each other around in an enormous bear hug. The sight of it made her smile, and she looked back over at Blossom, "you're welcome, by the way."
Blossom laughed, and Princess's breath caught in her throat as she studied the superheroine's face. Smudged with ash, Blossom was still as pretty as ever. Her smile wasn't as broad as her sister's matching Cheshire grins, but the corner of her eyes crinkled in delight. Princess didn't know if Blossom was actually sparkling or if she was experiencing some sort of post-concussion symptom, but regardless, it made her stomach flutter.
"Yes, thank you," Blossom's laughter died, but the look of delight was still there and very much aimed at Princess, "I didn't think I'd ever be saying this--"
"--hey--" she warned, eyes narrowing into slits.
"--but we couldn't have done it without you." The look in Blossom's eyes softened, "You're really something else, Morebucks."
Princess's heart panged painfully around her ribcage, and in a moment of panic, she pushed away from Blossom's helping hands.
"Well, of course, Blossom," She stuck her nose in the air, fluffing her hair poofs back to perfection and acting aloof, "don't act so surprised. I'm a young woman of many talents."
"Now," She huffed, walking away, "if you're done needing saving, I have much better--Ack!"
Her ankle screamed in pain, unable to hold her weight, and she fell. Her arms flailed around as she tried to find her balance, and she shut her eyes before impact. Blossom, however, never let her hit the floor, swooping her up into her arms like she weighed nothing at all (which to Blossom, she probably didn't).
"Are you alright?" Blossom asked the moment Princess peeked her eyes open, "Is it your ankle?"
Princess sat cradled safely in Blossom's arms (like a bride!), and she could literally feel her brain turn to mush, "U-uh, um--uh--"
"Princess!" Bubbles called out, and Buttercup finished, "Are you alright?"
"Well, uh, um, I--Uh--" she continued to sputter uselessly, turning a peculiar shade of scarlet.
"It's her ankle," Blossom thankfully answered for her, "I'll get her to the Professor and have him patch her up. Buttercup, you're on damage control. Keep people away from the smoking piles of red ash--"
"Right!" Buttercup nodded and zipped off.
"Bubbles," Blossom turned to her other sister, "I need you to report back to Bellum, give them the run down, okay?"
Bubbles saluted her sister with a cheeky grin, "Aye-aye, captain!" before lifting off into the air. She paused halfway into the sky and turned back to Blossom with a wink, "Don't have too much fun without us."
Blossom's cheeks dusted pink, "Go."
"Bye-bye!" Bubbles cooed, shooting off.
Blossom turned her attention back to her, "Ignore her, she's, uh, annoying."
"I--uh--yeah--I, um, ya--"
"Hey," Blossom smiled again, the very soft look back in her eyes, "you've got nothing to be worried about," She gave her a slight squeeze, "I've got you. Just hold on."
Blossom helped Princess loop her arms around her neck, and slowly, they began to take off into the air.
"You know, all things regardless," Blossom hummed, her voice enticingly breathy and warm in Princess's ears, "it was a good game."
Princess swallowed, eyeing the silly (cute) uniform HIM had--with a snap of his claws--changed them into, and Blossom's post-exercise glow, and was finally able to find it in herself to string a sentence together.
"Yeah," She squeaked, "I love sports. Sports are good."

Okay, let's talk Netflix One Piece, spoilers below the cut.
Hard to sum up my thoughts, I guess... better than I expected before the second trailer came out, worse than after I got my hopes up? There were a lot of great moments, and a lot of very confusing choices.
Like, casting-wise Iñaki Godoy is great for the role, he really embodied Luffy very well. Same for Emily Rudd as Nami, that felt very natural.
The rest.... Eeehhhhh? Mixed feelings. They were mostly good, although Mackenyu felt like maybe 70% like Zoro? Jacob Gibson as Usopp was okay, but Usopp needs to feel more childish, at least IMO.
Sanji was fine. Less of a disgusting creep, which was nice. (On a similar note, points for not doing tons of fatphobic jokes about Alvida! She actually seemed like a cool villain!)
Funny that they kept Usopp's one-on-one fight with Chew but Hatchan vs. Zoro didn't make the cut, honestly I wish they sold Usopp's internal conflict in that fight better, that was one of the big scenes that originally sold me on his character in the manga. I also missed the Usopp Pirates as part of his characterization, I wouldn't have cut them.
Same with Rika bringing the rice-balls to Zoro in the bar instead of sneaking into the prison yard, that kinda reduced his character in those moments to "being nice to kids" instead of "respecting and reciprocating the effort and sacrifice of a major act of kindness".
The Baratie stuff was... Look, I understand the budget and time constraints that made them cut the Don Krieg fight, he's honestly not the most memorable villain, but those episodes got kinda boring? You could tell when they were padding because it was either "Zoro falls down a well" time or "Zoro is in a coma" time, and those moments fell pretty flat.
Actually speaking of, were there budgetary reasons why there was so little blood when Zoro got injured? Shouldn't be a big deal except they kept remarking on how much blood he was losing, made it more jarring when the script and the visuals didn't match up.
And little changes around the Arlong plot didn't work so well for me. Nami keeping her plan a secret from her sister and the village felt like a pretty good character decision tbh, she sold that self-blaming motive enough that it seemed right. The walk to Arlong Park happening before Nami failed to stop the villagers from doing an uprising was worse, that should have been her breaking point, when she couldn't stop her loved ones from sacrificing themselves. Not a big thing, but yeah. And Arlong hunting Luffy down and fighting him once before also detracted from that final conflict, because Luffy and the Straw-Hats can't really come off as punk-ass kid underdogs when everyone's already taking them seriously, Luffy kicking the door down doesn't mean as much when he's already being scrutinized.
Mostly the aesthetics were a decent blend of silly and gritty, although I would have leaned wackier in a lot of smaller parts. Like I said in another post, it takes serious skill to make characters yelling out their attack names come off as cool in live action, and they threaded that needle even when Buggy threw his crotch at people.
There were some fun choices too! Buggy stole the show, and I never found him all that interesting most of the time. Then again my One Piece OC is from a circus so maybe I'm biased towards certain aesthetics. I dunno, he was over the top in all the right ways. Somehow he came off as entertaining despite dressing like a Mad Max character trying to be the Joker.
Arlong was a good villain too actually! Different kind of hammy villain, but it was fun to watch him be a tough-guy shithead with those ridiculous prosthetics, felt like exactly the right amount of weird and silly.
I liked the more in-depth use of Kaya's mansion as a setting too, it was way more distinctive than just fighting some pirates on an island, and the dark of night made it very atmospheric- some great shots of Kuro's silhouette.
Tonally, it was mostly good! It was fun and silly in a lot of the right places, and the parts that fell the most flat were the ones that didn't have much levity or weirdness to them.
Speaking of... What the fuck did they do to my dude Garp! Look, I tried to go into that subplot with an open mind, but it felt kinda pointless at the end. First off, why is he so severe! Garp is a goofy meathead like Luffy! Why can't they let him be dumb and funny! It was so jarring to see him talking about strategy over a dramatic game of Go, same guy who falls asleep mid-fight and makes his men fix the wall he just busted through for dramatic effect. And it's because... He wants to stop Luffy from being a pirate and/or test him? Honestly who cares! I have no idea why that was what they chose to insert from out of canon instead of... I dunno, anything more relevant or interesting? Bringing in Smoker early as an actual nemesis? Buggy's quest for revenge with Alvida? Some bigger Baroque Works foreshadowing?
But overall, it did catch my emotions in a lot of great moments. Fun, heart-wrenching, exciting, dramatic, all the good stuff.
