You and Jacob amble through the streets of Hollywood hills, the chill energy of the neighbourhood surrounding you as you take your dogs Layla and Freddie for a walk.

You’ve been friends since high school back in Australia and only started dating around 2 years ago when you visited LA and caught up with Jacob. And it was only a couple months ago you moved across the world to be with your boyfriend.

You weren’t foreign to the recognition Jacob garners, fans occasionally approach for a quick chat or photo, and for the most part, it’s a positive experience for the both of you.

A young woman, probably in her early 20s, spots Jacob from afar, her eyes widening with recognition. She hurries over, her excitement palpable. The two of you stop as he comes up, “Hi Jacob!” She excitedly greets, her phone ready for a selfie.

Jacob flashes his signature smile, “Hey, how’s it going?” The fan smiles widely, her full attention on your boyfriend as you stand to the side, “Great! Can I take a photo with you please?” She asks, “Yeah, sure.”

The fan, seemingly disregarding your presence, abruptly hands you her phone. “Take the photo for me,” she demands, her tone leaving no room for refusal. Caught off guard by her directness, you manage a surprised “Uh, sure.”

Even you could tell Jacob was caught off guard by her rude behaviour, his eyebrows slightly knitted. You reluctantly take the phone and frame the photo as the woman poses with Jacob, her hand around his waist as he respectfully hovers his hand on her back.

She glances at you with a dismissive look, as if you’re merely an accessory to the moment. “Make sure it’s good,” she commands, refocusing on Jacob as he visibly becomes agitated.

Despite the awkwardness, you snap the photo with a forced smile. The fan snatches her phone without a word of thanks and strides away, disappearing from view.

Jacob, sensing your discomfort, lets out a sigh. “She seemed nice” His voice laced with sarcasm as you chuckle. “They’re not usually like that, trust me.” He remarks, irritation evident in his voice.

Jacob puts a reassuring arm around your shoulders, “Don’t let it get to you. I didn’t even really smile in the photo,” He says with a cheeky grin as you couldn’t help but laugh.

Later that day, Jacob takes to his instagram page that he mostly posted work related things, and shared a photo of the two of you with your dogs, along with a thoughtful caption.

usahockey: In honor of our men and women making history by both winning gold at the World Championships this past weekend, we highlight two players of the tournament, goaltender Y/N Y/LN, and center Alex Turcotte. The two of them both attended the University of Wisconsin and played for their respective hockey teams.

Y/N Y/LN spent four years with the Wisconsin Badgers and helped lead the women’s team to 3 consecutive B1G 10 Championship Titles (2023, 2024, and 2025), and 3 consecutive NCAA Championship Titles (2023, 2024, and 2025).

In the tournament, Y/LN had a .937 save percentage, and a 1.42 GAA, which propelled the U.S to a gold medal and a world title.

Alex Turcotte only spent one year with the Wisconsin Badgers and had 9 goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 29 games played.

Turcotte turned pro in 2020, and unfortunately dealt with a few setbacks with illness and injury before having a breakout year in the 2023-2024 NHL season. He is now a core member of the LA Kings alongside roommates, Francesco Pinelli, Quinton Byfield, Jordan Spence, and Brandt Clarke, all of whom also participated in the World Championships and won the Bronze medal for Team Canada.

Summary: Pierre and you have a little secret.

Warnings: Teeth rotting fluff, Cute Pierre, might make you feel incredibly lonely

Pierre and you went way back. Your mothers had been friends, so the two of you grew up best friends as well. It was quite usual to find one in the others house when you grew up and even now it was unusual for you two to be far from each other. Well, unless he was in the car of course.

"I'm back.", you heard Pierre speak as he entered the room of his driver room after the media duties of the day. With a smile you locked your iPad and looked up at him.

"How was it? Did they have rumors again?", you laughed referring to the enormous amount of times the press had speculated that the both of you were in an intimate relationship.

"None this time.", he chuckled and sat down on his bed. "What're you watching? Please tell me its not that weird crime show again..."

"Excuse you?! Criminal Minds is a wonderful show and Dr. Spencer Reid is really hot!", you gasped jokingly. This was a recurring topic for you two, he jokingly bullied you for your taste in television shows and you returned the favor with his hobbies.

He rolled his eyes but had a grin on his face still. "Have you done anything nice today?", he then questioned kicking his feet up to get a little more relaxed after standing around for long doing interviews.

"Not really. Edited a few photos, scheduled some posts, replied to comments, you know, the usual.", you shrugged and got up to sit beside him. "Oh! I did read a new joke! What lies on the bottom of the ocean and twitches?"

"I don't know Y/N, but I'm sure you will tell me soon.", your best friend tilted his head watching you.

"A nervous wreck.", you replied with a giggle. It took a moment but Pierre did grin after a bit.

"Where do you always find those?", he laughed and shook his head.

"Online.", you grinned and pulled on his shoulder so his head landed in your lap. Raising your hands you started gently playing with his hair. You knew he loved that and it always helped him calm down.

"You really have to sleep more.", you mumbled and shook your head.

"I know I know... But you know I always sleep better with you beside me.", Pierre whispered back and looked at you out of the corner of his eyes.

"Text me then, I'll come over! You know, for purely selfish reasons... After all I don't want your mum to hate me if you have an accident because you're too tired.", you smiled and kept stroking his hair.

"Of course, we do wanna keep my mum happy.", he smiled knowing you way too well to believe your reasoning.

Ever since you were teenagers both of your mums hoped you would end up as a couple and well, it slowly did start to look that way.

"They tease me, you know? Daniel, Lando, even Lewis.", Pierre whispered after a while. You had actually thought he was asleep, but apparently he still had something on his chest.

"About what?", you frowned after he didn't continue speaking.

"You.", he laughed quietly confusing you even more. "You and me to be exact. They think we should be together by now and I obviously didn't tell them the truth. They would never let us hear the end of it."

"Do you think so? I think they would be happy for you. For us. Plus, I really just want to hold your hand and kiss you when we are around our friends.", you smiled softly making him look at you wide eyed. So far it had always been you that was against telling everyone of your friends, excluding Charles. Both of you just couldn't hide anything from him.

"Are you sure?", he asked with a small smile that widened further once he saw your nod.

"If you want, I'm ready to share us with the world. I love you and I know you love me too, so whenever you are ready.", you explained and gave him a gentle kiss.

"Do you think our mums will hate us if I post yesterdays photo on Instagram and don't tell them first?", he chuckled pulling his phone out of his pocket.

"I don't think so. I'm pretty certain they've known for months.", you laughed and kept stroking his hair while he typed on his phone.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world, darling,” He grins, kissing your head before you go back to stretching with your coach. Tom watches as you stretch your limbs, preparing yourself for the match that was going to begin in 30 minutes.

You kiss your boyfriend goodbye, parting ways with him as it was your time to step out into court—Tom making his way to your player box where he would be seated beside your coach.

You step onto the pristine grass court at Wimbledon, the crowd buzzing with anticipation as you, a skilled tennis player, prepare for a crucial match. The familiar scent of freshly cut grass and the echo of applause surround you.

Tom’s eyes were fixated on you the whole time, his applaud more louder and enthusiastic than everyone else’s. The match unfolds, and you dominate the court with your powerful serves and agile movements. The spectators erupt into cheers with every successful point you score.

Tom can’t help but smile, his eyes filled with pride as he watches you play. The atmosphere is electric, and you can feel the energy of the crowd propelling you forward.

You were taken to hospital, Tom still by your side as he held your hand. “You’ll be off for a few months, Y/n,” The doctor gives you a sympathetic smile as you nod your head, tears already blurring your sight.

The second the doctor left leaving you and Tom alone. You broke down in tears. He gave you a hug, whispering reassuring things in your ear. As you sobbed. Your season had been going so incredibly well until now. But you were grateful that Tom had been by your side during the entirety of it.

Devon Winifred Riva is an American singer and actress.

EARLY LIFE

Devon was born in Ocracoke of Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Judy and Antonio Riva both of whom are Florida born restaurateurs. She was raised alongside older brother Levi Riva. Devon is of Armenian and Italian decent.

From ages 3 to 17 Riva was an acclaimed dancer studying at the Joffrey Ballet School. After suffering a knee injury at 17 Devon chose to forgo dancing in favor of acting and singing.

CAREER

Prior to having a singing career, Devon was a renowned ballet dancer, receiving praise from not only her teachers but her predecessors as well. At the age of 13 Devon was guaranteed a principal position at the American Ballet Theatre when she graduated the Joffrey School of Ballet. Riva also studied at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy from ages 14 to 16. After suffering a knee injury, Devon chose to give up dancing.

While in physical therapy Devon started writing songs, as well as posting covers of her singing on YouTube, which gained millions of views.

Devon was quickly scouted by rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z and signed to his entertainment company Roc Nation. Under Roc Nation Devon was signed to Columbia Records. Soon after Devon was cutting demos with producers Savan Kotecha and Max Martin.

Devon released her debut album “American Teenager” in 2012. The album spawned the hits “American Teenager”, “The Climb”, and “Good 4 U”. "American Teenager” debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 as well. Her debut album was number 1 for 15 weeks after release.

With such success for her debut it wasn't a surprise when Devon won 3 Grammy's for said album and earned herself the title of the youngest artist to win Album of the Year at 18.

In 201 just 4 months after finishing a world tour ending at Radio City Music Hall Riva released " and earned Devon three number 1's on the Billboard Hot 100. In December 2014 Riva released her sophomore album which sat atop the Billboard Hot 200 hundred for 34 weeks breaking her own record for longest running number 1 album.

In 2014 Devon kicked her third studio album off with lead single "Bad 4 Business" which earned Riva her first number 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100. "Don’t Start Now" and "Levitating" were also both promotional singles leading up to her third album "Bad 4 Business". Devon's third album also debuted at number 1 and once again broke her own record for longest running number 1 album at 37 weeks.

In 2017 Devon made her directorial debut with “The Greatest Showman”. Devon not only directed but also choreographed and produced and wrote the soundtrack for the movie along with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The film received critical acclaim as did Riva.

After four long years Devon made her comeback to music with her fourth studio album “Malibu”. The album spawned hits “Malibu”, “When I Look at You”, and “You”. Riva would go onto win Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammy’s. Once again breaking her own record “Malibu” was number one on the Billboard Hot 200 for 43 weeks.

Devon has not released an album since.

PERSONAL LIFE

Riva is close friends with acclaimed singer Ariana Grande. Devon is credited to introducing Ariana to ex-boyfriend rapper Mac Miller in 2012 who is also one of Devon’s close friends. Devon and Mac met in 2010 through mutual friends.

Riva is credited as a writer and producer on all six of Grande’s studio albums as well as four of Mac Miller’s studio albums.

Devon is also close friends with award winning singer Beyoncé. The duo have written multiple songs together, Devon even performing Run the World (Girls) with Beyoncé at Coachella in 2018.

Devon and Zac Efron met while the pair were filming High School Musical, Efron staring as her love interest Troy Bolton. The pair dated from December 2006 until September 2009.

Riva met now husband Jon Bernthal on set of The Walking Dead, Bernthal played former police officer Shane Walsh. The pair steadily dated from 2012 until 2014 when they quietly got engaged in March and quickly married in December. The pair welcomed their first child Lorelei in January 2016. They have since welcomed twins River and Rowan in October 2017 and daughter Lunden in January 2019.
