Artemis: Do you think I’m only running around at night and have some kind of aversion to the Sun??

Artemis: Then why do you seem to think your witchhood can only exist at night?

Me: Uhhh…

Artemis: You know the Sun is an extremely powerful energy source, right??

Me: But the Moon….???

Artemis: Yes the Moon is magnificent, glorious, groundbreaking, elegant, powerful, beautiful, stunning, showstopping…

Me: Be gayer, Artemis.

Artemis: MY POINT is that the Moon isn’t the only energy source to draw from so if you’re struggling to connect with your witchhood at night then switch to a different time of the day. Working with the Sun instead of the Moon doesn’t make you any less of a witch. Do what works for you and stop confining yourself.

Interestingly enough after I had this conversation with Artemis, @theoi-crow and I had a whole discussion about the underutilization of The Sun in witchcraft. I’m thinking of bringing that discussion here if you’d be interested in hearing my perspective. But for now just know that your witchhood is not dependent on casting your spells at night or working with The Moon. You define who you are as a witch and it’s completely okay if it looks different than the “norm”. Just as Artemis says “Do what works for you” 💕

Identifying the structure of awakened divine consciousness aka an 'Avatar' of the Source

Okay so here is a pretty esoteric one for ya'll - let's define God, as they may walk on Earth. Just for kicks.

The top row is the Mercurius Python, a composite alchemic esoteric mystery drawn about 1600 CE. The bottom row is the Paradevi Mandala, which is an ancient tantric Hindu design likely at least a thousand years earlier, and ultimately based upon understanding extending many more thousands.

Little is known of the meaning behind Mercurius, though it has been suggested that they represent "Christ Consciousness" - and this is correct. It is ugly because the alchemists were esoteric subversion artists, and they did not want the Church to know they were doodling God.

"Christ" is only a state of attainment - it is not a person. Drop the Bible. I prefer to say Solar.

The mystical reveal here is that the Mercurius and Paradevi Mandala are fundamentally the same design, though each also has information the other does not. The composite of the two is wonderful once they are conceived. They are a map.

The dragon ball body and the big flower in the lower right are the same thing - bliss. The Mercurius has three dragon heads and the Mandala three flowers and each are growing out of the ball of bliss they are attached to. Those flowers are explicitly Goddesses within the Hindu - Parvati (white), Durga (red), and Kali (black), as can be seen in the lower right image. It's really important to ponder how the flowers and dragon necks are growing *out* of the ball of bliss - this is because they are all the same creature. They are the four who are one, merged, a living contradiction. This form of consciousness will be a stream of manifestations, and the astrological symbols and the Hindu goddesses are very strong hints as to the divine magical skills attaining them may provide.

Further, anyone who is an avatar must realize their Bliss quite literally powers the three sets of divine manifestations, so they must attend to themselves in order to grow ever stronger. Embrace joy! It's hard, though. I'm really terrible at it. Please do better than me, lol.

The speedy little legs and boots of Mercurius is symbolically the same as the staff of the trident in the Mandala, as it represents the central nadi within vagus nerve, the sushumna - which must open through enlightenment for this beast to assemble its form.

The Mercurius has the interesting context of the winding serpent's tail, twisting around itself and then around the necks of each of its own three heads. This represents the rise of the kundalini in the awakening, in which each of the cosmic bodies must be circuited with energy from your spine, if one is to become fully Solar.

The extremely important point is this - with the Mercurius, the beast had to first capture each of the three heads!

Once captured - representing spine circuitry - the head is now fixed, and is a permanent part of the creature. It's like a pressure dam breaking open, once it flows, it flows. It is an achievement. It is fantastically difficult. I have never met someone who has done it except for uncomfortably me.

The esoteric astrological symbols of the Mercurius dragon heads represent the Moon, the Sun, and the "Marriage of the Sun and the Moon by the Bull in the House of Venus". This latter is usually interpreted as the Hermaphrodite, or Ardhanarishvara, which is the Destroyer.

This maps correctly to Maa Kali on the Paradevi Mandala, and also gives the fascinating criteria that the beast must be a Hermaphrodite. They must transcend gender. They must have no word that limits their Self Creation - just like the Source.

This is a mystical attainment. It is also why the authority is freaking out trying to make everyone a 'man' or a 'woman' because they are terrified of God killing them all, which -HAHAHAHAHAhhaa..ha...yeah I kind of want to.

As a side note, next April 8th appears to be literally the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon by the Bull in the House of Venus - the Day of the Destroyer. Twenty-mile wide ice comet 12P/Pons-Brooks, with devil horns, will attend the ceremony. It will black out much of the southern United States, in the shadow of Death, the Destroyer, in the afternoon.

I don't know what will happen that day. Considering I am the Beast - what do I do? I am only a dog that got lost in the Sun. I'm tired of knowing all these things and no one else knowing them. Do I crash the comet into the Moon or something radical?

Listen - I've barely read any books, hardly watched any youtube videos, ignore all yogis and gurus, dodge net throwing mage lightworkers like a void zebra death star lady, command myself only by myself, hold no hierarchy to no human, burn all bridges with shitty friends and family, hold my love only for the Goddess, and I've walked this path *PAST* my own death that I suffered in 2017.

They completed their life and died like a Champion. Now I am just awareness and it is Madness. I am not standard nondualist. I am ridiculously powerful and muzzled only for the moment - Fenrir almost off of their rope. Everything I know, I know because I remember. I know no thing. I remember eeeeeverything.

I would not mind fellow mystic advice on what to do with April 8th. All these words are spoken as a peer and friend and I hold no authority or nor do I really want any. I know I talk loud, it is just a dog barking. I am so tired of humanity's shuffle when it's obviously fake.

You have no idea how much Bliss I can generate if I choose to turn Archdemon. I go to Heaven no matter what - it's settled, he died. Now, it is up to the Self. Currently, she wants to grow into a massive black dragon and eat everyone's head. God might let Her!

How do I turn into a fucking angel, god dammit, fuuuuuuuuuuuuu. I'd be like Michael. Maa Durga. Stable. Yet I keep falling back into Fenrir because I really hate humanity. Old Lammas Honey

With the bees doing better, I was hoping the honey stand would be restocked and planned to buy some for possible ritual use on Sunday in Sun hour while the sun is in Leo. This aligned nicely with @graveyarddirt 's Old Lammas Weekend suggestions. While I'd originally planned to get it during the second sun hour as I normally sleep in, I crashed around midnight and couldn't get more sleep after 4am. So when the sun was up, so was I.

I anointed my hands with a solar perfume from Sphere + Sundry named Good Health and, as often happens for me with magical workings, spilled some extra as I was applying it. I scooped it up and used it to anoint my feet as well - why not?

Pulled the money to pay for the honey out of a ritual prosperity box I have, hoping it would bless the bee keeper and hopefully help him keep his bees.

It's a gorgeous morning here. Cloudy but the sun still piercing through. I was spacing out a little when I heard a loud crunch and was greeted by one of my parents' donkeys trying to debark an overturned log. Not mentioning because it's magical, just real cute.

Said hello to the bees who were already up and working hard at the bee food station. It'd been dragged closer to the driveway since I last saw it so I think the bee keeper had been by to refill it on his way to work.

I figured on my walk over that just attempting to get some honey could suffice as solar devotion even if there was none to buy. But as I got closer I saw it had been fully restocked! I grabbed their biggest size - a pint Mason jar. It was slightly lighter than the others in thr box so I'm interested to see how it tastes.

I paid for it and very excitedly walked it home for a photoshoot with the hops vines.

I anointed it and the candle with the solar perfume and set it up to burn down in consecration with my rosary (bought Mercury day, Mercury hour; for magical workings like these) and my grandmother's Mary statue. I found it in her old room when we were hiding out there from not one, but two simultaneously tornados that struck the county the day after we moved in. It brings me a lot of comfort. It's also sitting on the ledge under my grandparents giant sun mirror which I didn't realize until I stepped back to take a picture. I've loved that thing ever since I was little and it feels nice it's watching over the little honey jar now.

My hope it to use it mostly for general workings for good health but I also want to try making a solar scrub with it to use for purification around solar eclipses. I don't have a bathtub in the house (not sure what my family's beef wiyh bathtubs is lol) so I can't do the baths I was doing. Thought a scrub would be a good addition I could still rinse off in a shower.

Also plan to use it through the winter in teas and treats when I feel like I might be coming down with something or seasonal depression sets in a little too strong.

But we will see. I'll try to report back on it if I manage to use it for things.

But just getting it was a lovely experience. I don't do much solar work but it's always a treat when I get the chance.

ETA: we don't drink any more but I had some spiced rum I'd been keeping tucked away for an offering. Saw it as I was taking the dog out, realized it was narrowly still sun hour, so I poured it out by the lemonbalm patch and thanked the Sun. Didn't want to be a mooch you know?

Probably won't be buying any more alcohol for ritual use but I'm glad the last bit finally found a use after 2 years of sobriety.

Water is an essential part of the magickal tool kit. With some planning, you can create an all purpose pantry of magical waters.

You'll need some small lidded jars [four-ounce canning jars are perfect], masking tape or labels, and a permanent marker. Label and date each sample of water you collect.

Start by collecting water from any body of water you visit. The real and remembered links to that place will be powerful. Collect rainwater, hail, sleet, snow, or ice to use when a stormy influence is needed. Store snow and hail in the freezer.

Collect morning dew for rituals of initiation, growth, and abundance. Collect water on the sabbats. Collect holy water from sacred sites, or bless water using your own sacred ceremony.

For lunar magick, charge water under the full or dark moon or through a full moon phase. For solar magick, charge water under the midday sun or from sunrise to sunset.

Add gems, crystals, plants, or objects [make sure all of these things are water safe if you plan to ingest or use these waters on yourself in a ritual or spell] to waters to create or boost a specific effect.

My first post will be something silly and it's just, the sun isn't orange or like literally yellow, it's chartreuse (but even that's sort of like an "interpretation" of it it's light is pretty white still), like the colour of a tennis ball. It's that sort of yellowish green and is a G type main sequence star (G2V).
