I mean, i have SEVERAL faves: awesamdude, eret, wilbur (rip), techno and phil - I’ll watch sometimes, tubbo and tommy, but if you’re going by who I watch th

when did you first start watching the smp and what made you get into it?

Oh, it was thanks to the sudden influx of dream smp animatics all over my youtube home page - and tbh, they were all pretty good! and so, i was like: ???!!! and started watching and now i religiously check the dsmp tag for plot updates so i guess that’s where we’re at rn… haha…

what is your favourite part about watching the smp?

Just watching these creators make these amazing stories+narrative - it’s free tv! i am entertained! even just watching them interact, this large community of a variety of streamers/youtubers, in the most diverse topics (not all of them are really minecraft-centered, but they are all great!). The idea of showcasing underrated creators in a platform where they all have the opporunity to shine, is just a wholesome idea tbh

Miss the ol’ tubbo n tommy dynamic! But i do enjoy techno and ranboo - they’re hilarious, too.

mexican dream, no sweat. tubbo and tommy tie for second second place, and back when elections were a thing, so was Big Q (he still is! he says the most brutal things these days but also ,,,, stream me dude pleas-).

A LOT OF PEOPLE OKAY LET ME ELABORATE ON A FEW:

- schlatt. evil president. wilbur. chekov’s gun but tragic. do i need to say more.

- bad is actually really good! and terrifying! surprisingly! because he’s.,,. he’s supposed to be one of my comfort streamers.... you should check out his eggpire!!! egg for the egg god

- tommy is good at subtleties, for someone who isn’t very... subtle... yknow? I was surprised by the AMOUNT of detail that went into the exile arc - and he played it adequately

who on the smp would you like to be best friends with?

i have a lot here too but here are just some that I can think of rn haha:

connor’s whole: “you’re not a bad person, and I hope you find what you’re looking for” had me BAWLING aaa

tommy’s dialogue with dream during their battle was good, but when 

a) tommy asks tubbo: “but what am I with out you?” and tubbo responds: “yourself.” I CRIED AAAA

b) tommy said: “Hey Dream, Dream, kill me.” because he knew dream wouldn’t, because he knew why dream wouldn’t - CHILLS

which part of the smp made you feel the saddest?

- ... pogtopia...

- Wilbur/ghostbur (out of character? in character? i don’t know which’d be worse, actually) admitting that he only wanted to make tommy president so he could blow it up seconds later

- .... tommy’s exile....

- A lot of tommy’s interactions with Techno have me kinda... :( ... you know? Like, the pit, the manberg vs. pogtopia war, doomsday - it feels like they keep shouting the same lines at each other, but neither of them really hear nor understand what the other is saying. Expecially doomsday - techno siding with dream, predictable but also hurtful, kind of. I can see why - but also techno was the closest to learning what had happened over the exile, and yet, the farthest from understanding it.

- doomsday was equally frustrating, hopeless, and depressing tbh

which part of the smp made you feel the happiest?

A LOT OF THINGS: but here are just the ones on the top of my head

- Quackity killing Schlatt and leaving manberg like: ✌️😠✌️

- When Tommy finally realized that dream was just. manipulating him. YOU GO funky exile child, LEAVE!!! 

- PUNZ coming in to save the day with: “you should’ve paid me more”???? YES YES YES

- Sam giving tommy little tasks to build the hotel?? wholesome. Acknowledging tommy’s been through a lot, abnd being one of the few people to know most of the exile story that tommy still won’t tell anyone about outright? 😭 (and i am looking AWAY from the possibility that this is just for profit, nonononono, not in MY line of sight-)

be honest, who do you simp for? (ayo if anyone says tommy or tubbo i will 🔪)

....schlatt (who ironically, was somewhat my introduction into the smp), but only cause he was a TERRIFYINGLY good actor, and he sounds EXACTLY like what id imagine an evil president would sound like 😳 what can i say, i like my voices...? jkashdlhfgal closest ill get to simping anyway so all of you can just take this and go, go elsewhere-

Hmm... one of the chaos ones? kjahdlkg i can’t decide...

what’s your least favorite stream?

The butcher army stream. I mean, it was good I loved the dialogue and set up... but like... story-wise, butcher army didn’t accomplish anything in the end, their existence was as volatile as the person they hunted and tbh nothing was gained from it, just lost and made worse. Hot opinion though, so take it with caution.

what’s something about the smp fandom that makes you sad?

Hmm... A somewhat common point: sometimes people can be really critical about characters, but like, not in a good way - just straight up bashing. I get disliking a character but it makes me :( when i don’t see reason for it. Or bashing someone’s opinion of a character. Look, we’re all interpreters here, but like.... cmon.... someone might just have a different view of a character and that’s fine! 

for example: not a big fan of c!phil as a father. Some interpretations say he’s not a father because phil never said he was. Some might say he was an okay dad, and some might say tommy was never his son. all of these opinions are valid. another one of my opinions: tommy’s “punishments” were injust, some might agree with the idea that they were blown out of proportion and he didn’t really learn anything from them, some might disagree and say he got what he deserved. all of these opinions are valid -but on my end, maybe not the ones where people go: “aww man, c!tommy should’ve died cause he’s so annoying, and he totally deserved it.” did we watch the same arcs, buddies on that end???? are you okay????

Just, i get hating a character, but it bums me out when i see someone just straight up say “this character should die. cause they suck” - why though? story-wise, how would that play out? what

Yall are great!! I love how much we’ve created - art, animatics, writing -all of you <3 <3 <3 and also all the discussion about the story, the characters, the interactions - I’ve found a community in some groups and honestly it’s just *chef kiss* great!!! yall are super cool and awesome and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!!

1 :How did you discover the game?

I think I saw a bunch of 707 fanart on Pinterest over time, and eventually I just went “okay, what anime is this ‘Mystic Messenger’ anyways!?!” That was in eighth grade l I think... wow. That was like two years ago.

Anyways, I played Yoosung’s route and LOVED it and swore I’d play the entire game top to bottom (which is what I’m working on now).

4: Your favorite ending?

Ohhhhh boy. Oh boy. I actually really like Yoosung’s bad relationship ending 1. SPOILER ALERT: it’s this one:

11: What call is your favorite?

Jumin Route Day 7 (Call from 707): “You have to be careful of smartphones”. This is one where he talks about his field work as an agent. I just... really love it for some reason.

Oh, lol, I also like his call on Jaehee’s day 5 called “hey sis~~”. It’s one where he’s been crossdressing for a mission and so he got a little stuck calling MC “unnie.” It’s so funny lolol

12: Your least favorite character

I’m sorry Zen... I feel bad saying this since I’m playing his route right now, but it’s true. I appreciate him as a character and as a foil to Jumin, but he’s just not my type, and sometimes his temperament gets under my skin. I lowkey get annoyed by him constantly prying into my private life in everyone else’s routes, like he’s jealous or something...

15: If you were MC and you get the same message that unknown send in the prologue for you to go at Rika's apartement would you go?

Hmmmm depends. Am I oblivious? Hell no. Blocked and ignored. But if I know the events of Mystic Messenger and know it’s Unknown? HELL YEAH BABEY COUNT ME IN

26: ¿Ray or Saeran?

Ohhhhhhhh no. Why did you have to ask me this....

I feel like answering would be detrimental to their progress of getting along.... isn’t it important to tell them that neither is better than the other...? Even if it’s not relevant to the game, I don’t want to choose one because of this...

Since they can’t see this, if I had to choose, I enjoy Ray’s company immensely. He’s babey.

Yoosung: I love how innocent he is! Very my-type! I also find it amazing and heartbreaking how he went blind in one eye for my sake... god I love him

Zen: zen knows the bungeoppang vendor, ‘nuff said

Jaehee: uh duh I love interacting with my lovely wife 💛 any conversation with her makes me immensely happy!!

Jumin: I love Jumin in general. I love how interesting he is, and also how calming he is to talk to. Most don’t find his jokes funny, but I love them. Did I mention he’s so calming to talk to? Very levelheaded and rational.

707: the Mint Eye plot was very prominent in Seven’s route and I love that. I also love that Seven, like Jumin, can be easy to talk to! Just in a different way. Except when he’s upset, then I get sick of him being emotional. That sounds cold, sorry ^^;; I mean that being bombarded with harsh words and emotions over the course of a few days is exhausting. I love him, but helping him is hard on the mind....

Ray: RAY IS BABEY OH MY GOD. He brought me flowers. He made me breakfast. He’s so sweet and kind and nervous and PERFECT. His is the only route where I really fall for the romantic bits, because he’s oh-so-my type (not as much as Jumin, but he’s 50x sweeter than Jumin and that helps). I also REALLY LOVE learning more about Mint Eye, and overall... I actually enjoy that it’s more demanding. I’ve played casual story common route so many times I could actually do it in my sleep, but Another Story keeps me on my toes... it’s exhilarating and feels REAL.

43: What do you like the most about each character?

Yoosung: again! His innocence! I love it! I also have a soft spot for exploring his issues, since NOBODY ELSE DOES.

Zen: definitely how easygoing he can be! He seems like a great person to just chill with

Jaehee: her hard work is really inspiring. So is her courage to find a new job that she loves ^^ it gives me hope for the future. I’m really glad to have a noona like Jaehee.

Jumin: his calming presence, rationality, and how easy-to-talk-to he is. I absolutely adore being in a chatroom with him alone. Plus his eccentricities make him all the more lovable~

707: this sounds typical but his jokes! He’s hilarious and always makes me laugh, and he feels so real because of it. He’s one of the characters who I could easily imagine is real. Sometimes I find myself hovering over the keyboard, wanting to send him a meme or tell him something, and then remembering that I can’t. TvT

Ray/Saeran/Unknown: Ray. Is. Babey. I love him to fucking death. I’m gonna marry him I swear to god. I love how sweet he is, how he knows flower languages, how he works so hard (although it breaks my heart), how he blushes, how he gets nervous.... everything about him is so wonderful. Aaaah so lovely. Lovely Ray. As for Unknown (Casual/Deep Story Saeran) I adore his duality, and I love his incredibly emotional story arc in the secret endings.

V: I cannot possibly hope to put into words the deep and unyielding love I hold for Kim Jihyun.

That is, until Zen and Jumin start to have unusual... visitors. Soon enough, Seven initiates first contact, and the RFA is thrown into an adventure that makes them the first and only humans to go with the aliens... and leave willingly.

This story absolutely feeds my inner alien geek!! It’s so fucken good. It’s also got quite a bit of nice character development, and a great shocker at the end that made for an incredibly satisfying ending where everything clicked into place... aaaa it was great. I 100% recommend reading it!

The first character you loved:

Wheatley!! While I played Portal first (and played it at least like, twice before moving on), the first character I truly fell in love with (platonically) was Wheatley. He embodies several traits I love in fictional characters, he’s a cute robot, he struggles with a lot of problems and has a lot of depth to him... and he’s hilarious. What’s not to love about him?

I think Miguel? I like how one of the first things we see him doing in the movie is kissing is great grandmother, sharing food with her, talking with her and playing with her, etc, even when she can’t remember who he is and doesn’t talk much--it immediately cements him as being a good kid, even if he can be selfish and does stupid, impulsive stuff, as kids do. (Also I can deeply empathize with characters that are shown to be grossed out by romance, so that helped too. XD) He’s not my favorite, but he’s the first character in the movie I really liked and I still love him a lot.

Glottis! Another character that embodies a lot of stuff I like in a fictional character. He is a lorge friend and a cinnamon roll that smells like diesel. He is sweet and hilarious and how on earth can you possibly not love him.

The character you never expected to love so much:

ghhhh ALL OF THEM??? (except Henry) All of the characters in the Portal games are so wonderful oh my gosh, and they all have way more depth than you would expect, even ones we never even see, or ones who don’t talk. I mean, heck, the PANELS have personalities. All of these characters are Very Good A++++ and while I do have a preference to all of the robots (GLaDOS, Space Core, Rick, Adventure Core, etc), of course, I still love Chell, Cave, Caroline, Rattmann... SO MANY GOOD CHARACTERS AAAA

Héctor oh my gosh. I have to admit I did not trust him at first! Which I think was Pixar’s intention--he’s portrayed as a scrappy trickster goofy sidekick in the promotional material, and in the movie he’s introduced with shady music and doing shady stuff for reasons we don’t understand yet. I enjoyed his character though, even if I didn’t fully trust him--when he first confronted Ernesto (”Those were MY songs you took!”) my initial reaction was “what? no way, no way this scrappy skeleton wrote these songs.” And then like, minutes later, you find out who he truly is... and then like after the movie I was slowly getting hit by all the fridge horror of realizing why he was acting the way he did earlier on in the movie before we realized his motivations, and oh gosh my poor tol dead son. So yeah, Pixar successfully fooled me into thinking that he was gonna be the silly sidekick and then proceeded to punch me in the gut with all of the feelings for this sad skeleton dad.

Manny! I kinda thought he was gonna be a dull, cynical protagonist at first, but nah he’s an absolute dork who wants so badly to be cool and I love him. my smol dead son who is actually older than me.

The character you relate to the most:

Wheatley. %| hi yes I am a dumb screwup whose vocal processor runs faster than her main processor, who has been a massive jerk at times without initially realizing it, who dealt with a lot of bullying that led to a lot of pent up anger, and ... yeah.

Oof... Kindof a mix between Héctor and Miguel here. I can relate to Miguel’s being stuck in a situation where he really wants to follow his dream, but his family wants him to stay in the family business. I also heard a lot of that “stupid fantasy” talk from my dad when I expressed my desire to get an art degree. I can relate to both Miguel and Héctor as artists--getting lost in creating things, experiencing the joy of sharing what you make with others, etc. With Héctor though I can relate... a lot to his situation with Ernesto, minus the murder part (and minus stuff getting stolen to that degree, though my situation did involve some of my art getting stolen, but that was the least of the problems honestly). Please do not ask me to elaborate on this.

Probably Glottis. XD; I am also a dumb idiot who obsesses over the things I like and talks about them too much. Though I can also relate a bit to Manny having a crappy desk job.

so here they are now!! :0 it’s kinda long though. Sorry about that. Unlike my post about GOTG Vol. 2 that one time, for this one I just kinda wrote down some erratic notes about thoughts and reactions I had as I watched the movie, and then I kinda summed up my opinion about it overall down at the end?? so yeah. You're literally trying to be so edgy man just. Turn it down a notch lmao - Optimus literally didn't sound at all like himself at first?? It sounded like he had a different voice actor for those first few lines he spoke?? That was weird. It wasn't until the second time he appeared on screen where Quintessa was telling him about where the staff was hid was I like "oh wait yeah there's Peter Cullen" - the "Cybertron is coming" shot looked sUPER fake and green screened to me for whatever reason?? like idk I think it was the lighting they had on him but it was reALLY FUNNY PFFFFTT

Lmao. Dangit. It was inevitable but I mean come on man. Alright. They kept it short and quick thank you tho if u had to put in a make out scene at least u kept it to a minimum. Thank you. Can we get back to the robots now pls. - AAAAA BUMBLEBEE'S "STING LIKE A BEE" LINE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - that ending was pretty sudden lmao. A lot of this movie was sudden and fast. They just jump cut STRAIGHT to those credits man not even an ending panorama or clean slow zoom out shot or anything lmao - AND OH BOY THEY TEASED UNICRON’S GONNA ACTUALLY COME BACK AND APPEAR IN ANOTHER MOVIE AAAAAAA OH NO OH BOY NOT AGAIN GOSH DARN IT LMAO 

All in all, surprisingly, I actually ended up kinda enjoying it!! Like it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!! Tbh for me it might even be second best in the series!! (First being the first movie from 2008 lmao) Honestly I was really REALLY surprised at how much I didn't hate it. Like. I still dislike it to a degree because it's still Bayverse, and I probably won't watch it again unless I'm with friends (like I do with the rest of the transformers movies) but it honestly wasn't too too bad! It really exceeded my expectations as far as plot, and I wasn't hardcore cringing for most of the movie so hey that's a plus!! The movie had a lot of genuinely funny moments, especially with Cogman, which got some pretty good laughs outta me like I was really having fun at those parts!! Optimus’ absence for most of the movie didn’t sit well with me for some reason. Like it just felt strange. But it kinda had to be for the story to move forward so I guess I can forgive that lol. The pacing was REALLY whack and way too fast though. Like they were REALLY trying to cram a whole lotta stuff into a relatively short amount of time. The movie's almost two and a half hours long but it really didn't feel like that because of how fast the pacing was. Some of the dialogue felt really forced because of this issue too. It didn’t feel genuine sometimes. But that has to be like, pretty much my only specific issue with it?? surprisingly?? wow. I'm honestly super shocked lmao dang man I didn’t think I’d like this movie at all but I was very much proved wrong!! I hated those old ladies tho and their obsession to get Vivian a boyfriend and the whole innuendo thing. Yeah. No. Don't do that. Stop. I'm too ace for this.

Running Reads Oathbringer: Part II.IV

I decided to turn my "let's run over 5 miles to a park with the largest book I can find and climb a tree to read it and then run back" stunt a couple years back with Words of Radiance into a tradition. Despite the fact that when I read Words of Radiance it was summer and thus a reasonable time to sit outside, unlike the approaching winter of the present. Managed to read nearly two chapters of Oathbringer and then it started raining despite the forecast not saying it would rain until a few hours later. Well, journey before destination!

Spoilers for pages 481-528 ahead. Also Mistborn thoughts again cause I have a problem.

I'm amused at the irony that this dreaded work placement is not as bad as what fellow humans forced Moash to do

It's still slavery. It's still awful. But it is interesting how humans acted more odiously toward their slaves. The Voidbringers are efficient and focused rather than wantonly destructive.

It's ironic that Moash was the one Kaladin appreciated for not revering him and now Moash is putting him on a pedestal

First impression: Honestly? I found her a little bit annoying, because she reminded me of my sister LOL

Impression now: I will admit she’s grown on me. I don’t think I could watch anyone go through as much as she did, and not come to sympathize with them. I just want her to reach some sort of closure + contentment by the time the story ends

Favorite moment: Her whole travel montage with Sandor is just hilarious tbh

Idea for a story: I’d love a fic that goes more into detail about her time in Bravos, as she really learns the city and explores it. 

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think she’ll ever be able to fully give up her entire identity as a Stark.

Favorite relationship: She had some cute moments with Jon, also Gendry :(

Favorite headcanon: More like favorite theory, really hoping she’ll become a warg/learn to shift with Nymeria -- or at the very least, realize whats happening when she has dreams of being a wolf.

Cersei

First impression: That she was a stone cold bitch 

Impression now: I still think that, but it’s one of the reasons I appreciate her LAUGHS. But in all honesty, Cersei is a really fascinating character. She’s not a good person, and she’s not really a subversion any tropes I would say? But there’s still something very realistic (and still something a little tragic) about her deterioration, her paranoia, as the books progress. 

Favorite moment: Hmmm...it’s been a while since I read the books so it’s hard for me to remember but it might be the flashbacks where you learn how her relationship with Jaime developed. In the show I like the “power is power” scene with Baelish.

Idea for a story: Her early years trying to be flirty with Rhaegar while still being with Jaime before she gets paired off with Robert.

Unpopular opinion: Mmm I don’t think I really have any unpopular ones for her? 

Favorite relationship: Her and Jaime’s relationship is a trainwreck which makes it interesting to read. Also her relationship with Taena (which isn’t in the show) is interesting as well. It’s not very deep but part of me almost wishes it was haha.

Favorite headcanon: Ugh I can’t think of any right now aaaa
