how your relationship with seventeen was revealed
warnings | reader wears nail art for minghao's part
notes | reader is also an idol, kinda unrealistic in some parts but whatever js let me have this one LMAO, not proofread
Tumblr media
seungcheol – an interview
he thought it was high time to reveal your relationship to the world. after (a lot of) discussing with you and receiving your permission, he mentioned you during an interview for a magazine shoot. the question was smth around the lines of "what do you do when you have a particularly bad day" and cheol casually said "i go to [name] for comfort. they're a really special person to me and always cheer me up whenever i'm feeling down. i'm lucky to have them." with an absolute love sick smile.
safe to say, twitter almost crashed after that interview was released and you confirmed it on a livestream js a couple days later. (both pledis and your company were not happy but fuck them)
jeonghan – your hair color
your company's very big on self-expression when it came to physical appearance, so they never forced a hairstyle / makeup / clothes on you or your members. you were free to dye your hair however you wished, and you mostly kept it natural. until you met jeonghan. a couple months into your relationship with him, jeonghan came up with the idea of matching hair colors. he often had to dye his hair for comebacks, and instead of dying your entire head, he suggested that you would only get a single, visible strand of hair dyed in the same shade. you loved the idea and no one really noticed, not even your own company, until a eagle-eyed carat pointed it out on tiktok. the entire kpop community knew you and jeonghan were close since you both guest mc-ed together before and one of your members were close with seungcheol. and it seemed legit. the entire internet blew up and it even became a trend among couples. your companies both released a statement just a few weeks later, confirming the allegations.
joshua – his podcast w/ vernon
there was a question sector of the podcast he hosted with vernon where carats could submit questions via twitter and he and vernon would answer them. he saw a question that asked about their thoughts on your group's most recent comeback, and vernon managed to sneak in a few praises, complimenting the composition of one of the bsides before shua began a word vomit of praise, specifically for you. he complimented how much you improved since the last comeback and how good you looked in the music video, the teaser photos, the most recent stage, basically everything. he was so busy talking that he didn't notice the massive side-eye vernon was giving him and once he stopped talking, joshua physically slapped a hand over his mouth because oops.
no worries though, you thought it was funny and thought it was high time that the two of you revealed your relationship. joshua got clowned for it a lot though, especially by vernon.
junhui – instagram
the two of you tried your best to time your posts so nothing seems suspicious. for almost a year, your pictures from cat cafe dates to museum dates and late park dates went unnoticed by fans. that is, until your group went to japan recently for a short trip for promotions and jun tagged along since he had no schedules for 2-3 days. you found a cute convenience store during a late night walk with him and took pictures. some on your own, some of only him, and some together. except this time, the two of you forgot to talk beforehand and you both posted the photos on the same night.
your manager scolded you for being so careless, but truth be told he didn't actually care. he thought it was funny and only had a word with you because as your manager, he had to. (he already knew beforehand and thought you guys looked super cute together)
hoshi – seungkwan
you and hoshi were having a movie date night but you guys weren't particularly in the mood to actually watch a movie so the two of you just fucked around the whole night, prank calling different members to see how they would react and watching instagram reels (because hoshi swears by them and thinks they're better than 'that stupid clock app'). (the funniest reaction you got so far was mingyu, who was half asleep when you facetimed him and asked him if his refrigerator was running. when he responded with a groggy 'yes', hoshi said that he better go catch it and mingyu actually dropped his phone to go catch it.) the next victim was seungkwan, who you didn't know was doing a weverse at the same time. when seungkwan received the incoming facetime call from hoshi, he grinned and decided to accept the call by showing the camera his phone screen. what he didn't expect was to see hoshi's arm wrapped around you and his chin tucked onto your chin when he answered the call.
when seungkwan accepted the call, the first thing you saw was a reflection of you and hoshi, and you recognized the familiar flow of comments flying past the unfamiliar phone screen at an incredible speed. you dropped hoshi's phone in sheer panic and glanced over at your boyfriend who looked as equally panicked, his jaw basically reaching the floor. poor seungkwan began fumbling for a random excuse but it was too late now. the cat (tiger) was out of the bag.
wonwoo – via the company
wonwoo never thought there was a point in hiding your relationship from the public. he was with the person he loved and what a few jobless netizens had to say about your relationship wouldn't change that. after a couple months of 'testing the waters' and seeing how far the two of you would commit to the relationship, wonwoo just straight up went to the ceo of pledis and went 'yo i'm dating [name] from [group name] and you can't stop me' (with your permission of course, and you did the same thing) after a lot of discussion with both your ceo's, the companies agreed to simultaneously release a statement to the public about your relationship with wonwoo.
woozi – his lyrics
we all know woozi projects everything that's going on in his life through his song lyrics. yk those posts where people are like "i need someone to break bruno mars' heart again" bc his breakup songs are so good? it's like that. the latest seventeen comeback is FILLED TO THE BRIM with love songs and everyone and their mother is like "what the fuck is going on" because woozi's written love songs before but not like this??? the lyrics seem so much more deeper and personal, and the listener can almost feel woozi's heart and soul being poured into the lyrics and melody. woozi personally denied anything on a weverse live but people caught on once he released a mixtape of a love song and the lyrics contained a physical description of a person that was a little too similar to you.
minghao – books (and nail art)
minghao likes reading books. you like reading books. that doesn't mean you're dating, right? so many people in the world love to read books, that doesn't automatically make you lovers, right? ... right, except you read and post about the same books minghao reads and recommends to carats. even then, that could've been a coincidence, right? you just have similar taste in books.
wrong. you made a silly mistake of saying on a live how all your favorite books were recommended by a super close friend that you held dear to your heart. still, you can just be friends with minghao, right? wrong again because fans noticed that you had matching nail art with minghao's, the signature 8/infinity sign on your nails. there was no point in being in denial any longer.
mingyu – instagram
another silly little mistake. he recently came back from a trip with just you and him, and naturally, he wanted to upload some photos to instagram for his lovely fans to foam at the mouth scream over (he knows the power he holds). he was lying in bed (next to you), ready for bed as he scrolled through chose different photos to upload. what he didn't realize was that he had also clicked on a photo of you and him kissing in the dark, under a streetlight. it was a classic, romantic kiss. his hand was resting on your lower back, your arms wrapped around his neck as he dipped you, your leg held up by his other hand. almost immediately after posting, mingyu set down his phone and went to sleep in your arms.
the next morning, he woke up to about 56 missed calls from his manager, a BUNCH of weverse notifications, and 300+ messages from the seventeen group chat (that came back to life for the first time in almost a month and it wasn't js seungcheol talking to himself)
dokyeom – weverse live
dokyeom is surprisingly not shy when it comes to his relationship with you. after a few serious discussions, the two of you ventured out to the streets of seoul in broad daylight, your hand tightly entwined in his own, but no tabloid or news outlet seemed to catch whiff of it. dokyeom was frustrated because he wanted to show you off to the world, tell everyone that he was yours and you were his, but no one was bothering to expose it. so he decided to take this matter into his own hands. after receiving permission from both companies, he started a weverse live–with you. the two of you sat side by side, awkwardly waiting for more and more viewers to enter the livestream. obviously the entire internet went insane when dokyeom held his hand in yours and said with a proud smile that the two of you were dating and would appreciate all the love and support. and the internet officially lost it when he pressed a kiss to your cheek, which made you blush intensely.
it was cute, and even his manager–who was sitting behind the phone–was smiling as he watched the two of you together.
seungkwan – an entertainment show
similar to joshua. a couple members from your group were guests on a show that seungkwan was a regular cast of to promote your upcoming comeback, and of course they already knew that you were dating him. before the recording, they were teasing him (they're all already very close) and kept mentioning your name, which made seungkwan turn into a bright red tomato. during the recording, when it was time to promote your group's most recent comeback, your group members stood in the center of the room and gave a little sneak peek to the choreo of the title track, which seungkwan followed to with on the side (people didn't notice this until the airing of that episode–and an fyi, this was before their official comeback). and when the time came to the talk about the production process, seungkwan immediately began to ramble about how much you improved on your live singing and how proud he was of you. he also talked about how you talked to him about how much you struggled with the change of concept and how you pushed through those hard trials. he also couldn't forget about how good you looked and how the concept change looked really good on you and the new makeup look accentuated your eye color. at the end of his very long speech, seungkwan realized what he just did and sank into his chair with his bright red face buried into his hands.
vernon – vernon being vernon
vernon did a vernon and randomly revealed it on a weverse live, almost giving his poor manager a heart attack. he was reading through the comments when he randomly said 'by the way, i'm dating [name] from [group name]' HIS POOR MANAGER. HAD A MINI HEART ATTACK BEFORE TURNING OFF THE LIVE IN A PANIC. the following day, pledis released a statement, confirming vernon's impromptu confession.
dino – dispatch
my poor boy was the only one who fell victim to dispatch 😭 he was so careful not to get caught because he didn't want you to receive any backlash. specifically went on dates later in the day so the two of you wouldn't be as easily recognized, trying to stay home as much as possible, covering up as much as you both could. but eventually, dispatch caught the two of you hugging at the entrance of the hybe building at 11 pm. first, weird. why were they watching you guys at 11 pm. second, seungcheol was so relieved that the secret was finally out because he was running out of excuses as to why dino was almost never at home anymore.

The ghost of you. (Part 1).
-------------------
Genre: angst.
Pairing: Mingyu x reader.
Warnings: Break up.
-------------------
You disappeared like a faint ghost.
Mingyu had started to forget you and that scared him.
Every day he woke up in the room where you used to share happy and sad moments. There was no longer the sound of your voice wishing him a good day, giving him a kiss before getting out of bed.
Your small office was empty, there were no longer any camera lenses on the shelf, memory cards on the desk, nor a bunch of candy wrappers in the trash, and the curtains were always closed.
He walked the same streets you used to walk together, hoping to see your back or catch the scent of the floral perfume he liked so much, but the days went by, and there wasn't a trace of you.
From time to time, Mingyu would sit on the couch with the phone in hand, his hesitant finger unable to press your name on the screen. He had already sent several messages, but none received a response, and none of his calls were answered.
One night he entered your office, opened the curtains and from there he saw the starry sky, the view was simply bright and majestic. "That's why you liked being here so much," he said to himself, taking a seat in the desk chair. "You had front row seats... And I never came to join you..."
Until now, he hadn't had the courage to check the desk drawers, and that night he decided to do it; you had taken almost everything except for a memory card at the bottom of the last drawer. With much curiosity and fear, he inserted it into his laptop to see what was inside.
As he went through the stored photos, Mingyu felt a mix of happiness and nostalgia that turned into a silent sob. The album was full of pictures of the two of you, from outings and parties, random sessions in gardens or inside the apartment. He found it hard to believe how distant those happy moments felt compared to the reality he was living now.
Setting the laptop aside, he lay down on the couch and rested his head where you used to sit. "I miss you," he closed his eyes, burying his face in one of the cushions. "Where have you gone?"
The sun was setting and the wind started to blow gently. You were heading home while thinking about what you were going to make for dinner, and without realizing it you took a different path. It wasn't a loss since it was a very pretty street with some interesting shops; however, there was a place you had paid little attention to until that day.
"There was an art exhibit, and I didn't know," you lamented to yourself. You were in the front door of a small gallery and outside it, there was a sign with information about the presentation. After reading everything, you glanced down at your wristwatch. "One hour remain… That’s enough for me."
There weren't many people left except for a few older gentlemen, and some students that probably were heading home from school. The place was spacious, with beautiful paintings exhibited on the walls. Some were well-crafted and others were quite simple, but all had their own charm. There were also a few sculptures, and you took the opportunity to photograph some that seemed quite creative to you.
You moved on to another room and there was a rather curious painting: three small canvases side by side, the background was white, and a red ribbon crossed them by the middle. You stood for a few seconds appreciating it in silence, then looked down at a plaque with some words.
"The Red Thread of Fate," you read softly, "...", but you couldn’t say the artist’s name.
"You know the legend, don't you?" said a voice from behind and as you slowly turned, he was staring there. After so much time avoiding him, Mingyu ended up finding you in the most unexpected way possible, or so you thought. "Hi, y/n," he pressed his lips together a bit and crossed his arms. "I hadn't seen you, have you been here long?"
"No, I just arrived," you turned to one side, trying to locate the exit. "But I was just leaving, so..."
"Wait!" His voice made you stop suddenly. "Sorry, do you have a few minutes?"
You didn't want to, you didn't feel like being there another second nor talking to him, but you took a step towards to face him, although your fidgety hands said otherwise. "What do you want?"
"I..." Mingyu sighed. "I just want to listen to you, that's all."
"Now you want to listen to me?"
"No, wait, I can explain..."
"Explain what?"
Your severe tone made him remain silent, as if he were afraid that by saying something, you would leave without turning around. The atmosphere was tense, very tense, and the fact that no one dared to peek into the room only made him even more nervous. Still, he made it to say something.
"Nothing I said that day was true," Mingyu confessed, his voice quite confidence. "I hurt you deeply, and I'm sorry for everything, you didn’t deserve that."
"You left me alone," you stammered. "You said horrible things and then left. Do you know how long I waited for you to come home?"
"I know it was a long time, I..."
"Until dawn," you interrupted, taking another step closer. "I ran away and took a bus at 3 am, because you never came."
"Honestly, I-I don't know what was going through..."
"Are you going to listen to me or not?"
Mingyu shrugged, tortured by all the words held at the tip of his tongue. He took a deep breath and nodded nervously.
"You left me alone," you repeated, your voice sounding fragile as if it might break at any moment. "I asked for your help many times, I told you I was very nervous about leaving my job, and when I decided to quit, you didn't support me."
"I was scared, okay? I was… Scared."
"I was the one who quit a stable job to pursue my dream of photography... But you were the one who was scared?" You looked away for a moment to calm yourself down, although that didn't help much. "I don't understand, what were you scared of!? Tell me!"
Mingyu was downcast, and after a few seconds of no responding, he murmured. "I thought you would go far away..."
" There are many jobs, but only one Kim Mingyu." As you said it, he raised his gaze to meet yours, thick tears were stuck at the corner of your eyes. "I wanted to live my dream by your side… And I still want to."
In the silence of the room, the only thing heard was Mingyu's faint voice apologizing repeatedly. Then you approached him and gently took his face in your hands, kissing his cheeks again and again despite the tears that ran down them.
You approached him and gently took his face in your hands, kissing his cheeks again and again. His tears were honest and very painful, almost as much as yours, but it didn't matter. All you wanted to do was hold him like you used to, before becoming a memory lost in the pictures.

Art Forgery
Self-Aware! Dazai Osamu x GN! Reader
Tumblr media
Description: Second week living with BSD Cast. Dazai has a present for you. A very interesting present.
Kind of a sequel to Television
Warning: OOC. Crack-ish. Mentioning of BSD author, artist, seiyūs and voice actors. Shortish. English is my second language.
_____
You were frozen with fear, staring at Dazai's present.
"So, do you like it?" Dazai tilted his head, smiling.
You didn't answer. You still hopped, that it was a hallucination. You close your eyes and shake your head, hoping to chase away this supposed 'hallucination'.
You opened your eyes again. It was still here.
"[Y/N]? Guiding Light? My cute Iris Flower? Are you okay?" Dazai sounded worried. You gulped, and asked.
"I... I... Dazai, did you draw it yourself?" You pointed at the painting he gave you. The same painting, that was a silent witness of Hirotsu's and Dazai's talk after The Guild was defeated.
Dazai looked away, scratching the back of his neck.
"No, but I am pretty sure, I can paint the similar one. I remembered, how you called this painting beautiful, so, before going to this world, I took it from the Art Museum." Dazai looked at you again, his eyes soften. "Present for you. It will look good in the new house, am I right?"
Dazai Osamu, took a painting, that, in this world, were painted by his real-life counterpart. He took it from the museum, that is based on the real-life Yokohama museum. And gave it to you. To put on a wall in a new house.
You take a better look at the painting. It looked real... Real in not being a photo, or replica. It was a real painting, with some brush strokes being visible.
You let out a whimper. You don't recall any resent news about Dazai Osamu's painting being stolen from Yokohama Art Museum.
Does it mean, that now there are two same real paintings by Dazai Osamu in this world?
And one of them will be on your wall.
A bizarre scenario flooded your mind.
You are forced to hold a Family Reunion in your new house.
Your less trustworthy relatives noticed the painting.
They saw, that it's real painting.
They stole it, while you weren't looking.
They try to sell it.
A few days later, police arrest them for art forgery.
Your relatives call you as the original owner of the painting.
You are arrested.
The expertise shows, that both paintings were made at the same time.
Real-life Dazai's family members are called. They said, that they have no idea, that a second painting existed. Moreover, they are sure, that it never existed.
Someone noticed the similarities between BSD Cast and anime characters.
Kafka and Harukawa are called. They discovered, that their characters are real and were living with you.
They insist on BSD Cast staying with them.
You are accused of copyright infringement
Studio 'Bones', Kadokawa Shoten and Yen Press joined the accusations.
Seiyūs and all dub actors joined the accusations.
You are alone and miserable, without friends or family...
"[Y/N], are you okay? You were looking at the painting for five minutes already... Can you, please, blink? Or did I break you?"
Dazai grabbed your shoulder and start shaking you.
You gasped, finally returning from the world of imagination. You looked around, making sure, that you are still in your apartment.
"I... I am fine. Dazai, this painting, we have one in this world. It was made by our world Dazai Osamu... And I am afraid, that it will cause trouble..."
You share your scenario with Dazai. Dazai looked like he would burst with laughter. When you finish talking, Dazai grin and gave you a side hug. He ruffled your hair.
"You are so adorable, when you are worried about silly things so much!" Dazai rubbed his cheek against the top of your head. "Do you really think, that something like that will happen?"
You opened your mouth, but quickly realized, that Dazai was right. It was an impossible scenario.
You closed your mouth and lay your head down on Dazai's shoulder.
"I was silly." mumbled you.
"Mhm" Dazai nodded.
"It is impossible." spoke you.
"Yup" Dazai's grin was sly.
"Still, without good reasons, my relatives won't be allowed in the house." You sighed.
"As you wished, My adorable Iris Flower." Dazai tickle your cheek.
"Thanks for the painting, it is nice." smiled you, putting your hand on Dazai's shoulder and squeezing it.
"No problems" Dazai kissed the top of your head.
It will be another small memory you made with your new friends. One, that you will recall with the smile on your face.
As long as there weren't The Louvre or The Hermitage in BSD World. You don't think, you will handle it, if Arthur and Verlaine bring you "Mona Lisa" as a birthday present, or Goncharov, Fyodor, Nikolai and Pushkin bring you "Madonna Litta" as a New Year gift.

As most of you know, when the auntie vibe strikes I go with it. I was reblogging some of my ancient, ridiculous headcanons today. I love them and they make me giggle. They also reminded me of something about fandom culture that is very important to me:
These are characters. The actors are humans.
My long-time followers know that I don't post paparazzi pics intentionally, I don't participate in celebrity gossip, and I don't objectify the actors. Those are my boundaries.
These are real people, with real feelings. I have heard some things recently that disappointed me, so I thought it appropriate to couch this in my objectification of Aemond and Daemond so people could see why this is an important distinction.
Consent.
If an actor does a job and blesses us with the film/television series, then, I feel, those images and those characters are fair game for fanfiction, objectification, and silliness. However, that does not extend to images they did not consent to have publicized. I go further in my own boundaries and feel that it should not extend to the person themself in general.
I always use Matt as an example because, well, y'all know. He is a human and has feelings. He will likely never see the ridiculous things I write on here, but I still consider him with every keystroke. Same with Ewan and Austin. Off my blog I may very well think a candid pic of Austin is hot, but I can't imagine objectifying him if those photos weren't intended for me.
I'll keep this as brief as possible. How would you feel? If you found photos/videos you didn't consent to being passed around the internet even if you were fully clothed in them, would you be flattered, embarrassed, disappointed?
I like to think that any actor (especially Matt) would react to our unhinged fan stuff the way others have. I consistently reference Graham Norton showing guests fanfiction and fan art. Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender (to name a few) all laughed and took it in stride. The characters are fictional, our dolls to play with in our imagination, the people are real.
Treat others how you want to be treated.

Learning to Draw #1 - :)
My Manifesto that will be read as I lay destruction to The Works
I'm in my late 20s. I'm doing this because I can't find anyone else showing a similar process as a genuine sucky beginner. I used to draw a bit in my early teens. Slated for greatness at my art GCSE, a master of using the ruler for two-point perspective, I could achieve an 'A' they said - if I chose it - and I bet you're wondering how I got here... At home I drew my favourite anime characters. They weren't good, but whatever. I drew Itachi from Naruto and was so happy with this one that I took it to my parents to use their scanner. I subtly wanted to show it off, but I said I thought it would be cool if I scan it and colour it in on my cracked version of Photoshop CS5.
All I remember is they both saw it and had a good laugh at Itachi's hand. "It looks like E.T - 'phone home'". I didn't colour it in, and don't think I drew anything after that. The GCSE Art I took was bizarrely thin on teaching theory/skills and more about trying out a variety of creative mixed media - textured collages, pottery, and the like. I didn't draw a single thing and somehow achieved a B.
So anyway, I kept wishing I knew how to draw. Not as a professional or anything. Just enough to convey a sketch of an idea on the page that didn't look weird. What inspired me to pick it up again was some of the artwork in the RPG book for 'Warlock'. Thought it was rad as fuck. Wish I could do that.
Tumblr media
Figuring out how to do this has sucked so much ass. So many 'beginners' post absolutely passable drawings to undermine your confidence, or they bait you in and say "yeah, I'm learning to draw...I stopped a few years ago when I finished up with Sistine Chapel". Fuckers. One egregious example was on the 'learntodraw' subreddit where someone said their husband started drawing a 'week ago', presenting a near photo-realistic image. Later admitting after backlash that their husband had only just started 'taking it seriously this week, but has drawn before'.
All the other guidance essentially consists of happy-go-lucky 'just draw :)' or locked-in 'drawing is like working out, put the reps in'. In-between are mentions of 'the fundamentals' but the best way to learn these are???
A few months ago I attempted 'Draw a Box'. I gave up because I'll be honest, it is incredibly boring to spend your evenings drawing 250 boxes, cylinders, and then once you finally think you're onto the interesting stuff you get asked to do several pages of arrows. I still hadn't drawn anything apart from basic shapes.
The structure was good for me though, so I thought let's buy an online art class. The course recommends joining their community and sharing your first work, which you must draw 'from your mind'. Here is Chroknight. This took approx 2 hours of really trying. This was still attempting to incorporate ideas about perspective and breaking down shapes I had heard about from Draw a Box. So this probably shows a month of learning. This is what I want to see when I look for a beginners journey.
Tumblr media
I did this for a bit and drew some heads before becoming so fucking angry at the entire process. "People can be broken down into very basic shapes - squares, circles, triangles". Yet what really happens is a lot of complex rules around curving, avoiding tangent lines, and so on. I watch as the 'forms' get drawn in and say "okay, how the fuck do you make that look like a person?". My forms were often weirdly askew so I tried to correct them. The heads just don't look right. I was really struggling to spot that my forms were so wrong that it wasn't until I got to the details or the end that I was like "oh, wow this is really off". People who can draw say "just make sure your forms are correct first", and I get it - but often I can't tell until I start putting features on.
Tumblr media
I know they're not like if you just picked up a pencil for the first time. This was around 2-3 months of learning. I was really feeling angry and impatient that after drilling facial features and head forms that they still looked so weird and were taking a significant amount of time to draw. Each of these took at least an hour. Could've watched X-Files.
"This is why an understanding of anatomy is so important" the instructor says on their demo. Proceeding to practically, to my untrained eye, ignore their forms and freely draw 'skin lines' to indicate anatomy. How do I do that? "Study anatomy". The assignment for this part of the course is to draw each body part 'until memorised'. More grinding. I was too angry and couldn't face it.
So here I am a few months on. I am going to restart the course and actually begin 'grinding'. Drawing regularly, from reference, whatever. I am banning myself from artist YouTube videos about how they learn because these people are already great and their advice amounts to variations of studying/grinding or even worse "learning to love art again". I am also leaving the communities full of people posting things I can only aspire to and saying "any feedback UnU?", "why do I suck? :(".

some old things i made.
i used to call my crochet shop "sadgirlcrochet". i started posting and selling my crochet stuff in late 2020, was dealing with some serious depression, and had only come to terms with being NB a few months earlier. calling myself a girl still felt right back then, or at least not painful. i put frowny faces on everything.
Tumblr media
this was the flagship product, the depressed daisy bikini. I'm thinking about re-designing these because they were always my best-selling product. honestly, as someone who works in marketing, "sad girl crochet" was branding gold. I could make any design that was popular with the tiktok crochet girlies but trade a smiley face for a frown and BOOM. iconic piece. hundreds of instagram likes. for example, my 420 creations in 2021:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these are some of my favorite creations from that year. and while they're adorable, they're also simple. i wasn't exactly challenging myself on a technical level - more of my energy was going towards figuring out how to market via the instagram algorithm. because sadgirlcrochet was, above all else, marketable. the clothes weren't for crocheters. they were for followers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i redesigned the depressed daisy bikinis in 2021. i sold close to a hundred of these, maybe more. i didn't track inventory too closely (but i DID track my instagram followers, obsessively, at the time)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i also had a really shitty phone camera, so i edited the fuck out of my photos to make the blurriness and low resolution into a feature instead of a bug. it worked for a little while. also, my living situation was hellish at the time, but we had a giant yard with this 70-year-old dogwood tree, and it made for an excellent backdrop.
Tumblr media
a commissioned witch hat i made for a friend. one of my favorite things i have ever made. after a while, i realized i liked doing commissions more than just creating products to sell to the masses because it let me push myself on a technical level.
Tumblr media
this was my most-liked photo of 2021. partly because of my boobs. that's fine. they look great. i created this top because of a commission that went viral, and it spawned so many copycats and fake etsy listings.
my feelings toward the top itself are mild. it's cute. i made it so that people would like and share this photo. there's not much heart in it, if i'm honest. i look back at this top and know that it was made almost algorithmically. granny square bralettes + halter straps + strawberries were all Very In right then so my hands produced this.
Tumblr media
the picture above is one of the first photos i took of myself and felt like i looked like my gender. gender euphoria, i suppose, though the stress of my life at the time dampened the joy. it was then that i started really questioning how i felt about having my online image so tied up in my girlhood. in my feminine body shape. i was 24 and recently estranged from my relatives and working through childhood trauma, including all my preconceptions about gender, and whether or not i owed girlhood to anyone.
i owed girlhood to my followers, though.
when i announced that i would be killing the sad girl crochet brand, a lot of people were genuinely upset. i lost over a thousand followers in three months. people didn't care what i, tabby, was creating. they cared about seeing Content under the Sad Girl Brand. that's okay.
Tumblr media
when creating for sad girl crochet i felt beholden to both sadness and girlhood. my primary mode of expression and self-understanding, my crochet, started to be incongruous with what i actually needed to express. instead of contending with my sadness and seeking to understand it, i exploited it. instead of finding my own version of girlhood, i recreated the girlhood that was shown to me online. it led to a pretty significant creative drought from mid-2022 till about three months ago, in late 2023.
when you make the art people expect of you rather than the art that is true, you kill a part of your soul. i know this now.
Tumblr media
i did my first craft fair in summer 2022 and immediately after, i was creatively bereft. what little bits of creative energy i had left were spent. a few months later my husband and i moved across the state, away from the hellish house with the beautiful yard, a fresh start. once we moved, i told myself, i would feel at home with sad girl again. and i kept waiting to feel the way i did in 2020 and 2021. but the more time went by, the less sadgirl felt like a creative outlet, and more an albatross round my neck.
and weirdly...i started to feel guilty about ever marketing my sadness in the first place. to grapple with the fact that i was making money off of other women and femmes with depression - and marketing to them on the basis that they were as depressed as me. the more i thought about it, the squickier it felt.
i barely posted anything in 2022 and 2023. i signed up for pattern tests and immediately dropped out of them. i made promises i didn't deliver on. eventually, i just stopped logging on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a lot of life went by. i crocheted for my family, my loved ones, myself. journaled. got back on tumblr. deleted twitter. started trading screen time for books. got outside more. made friends in the new town. and the longer i ignored sadgirlcrochet, the less i wanted to go back.
see, the thing was, i was actually healing and growing, finally. our living situation was stable. my family found our own little village. i came to terms with being trans-er than i'd let myself admit. sad girl was dead. i'd killed her. and that was healthy for me.
Tumblr media
creature comforts was born of a desire to be truer to myself and to live with more love. to craft instead of sell. to share instead of market. to be online without wearing a mask. to be active on tumblr instead of instagram. to be a creator and an artist. to let these desires be misunderstood by others. to love, unabashedly.
i'm excited to see where this takes me in 2024.

Louis Tomlinson in Tampa, FL
Photos and Written by Romina Raggio
Tumblr media
Louis Tomlinson is, and will always be, an absolute rockstar! Louis took Tampa by storm on Friday, July 14th at our very own Yuengling Center, located on the University of South Florida Campus, as part of his Faith in the Future World Tour. Dedicated fans with general admission floor tickets began lining up as early as 9am for their numbered wristbands, per the policy set forth by Louis' team to dissuade overnight camping. Later that day, they returned to line up in their places to enter the venue.
Once inside, fans were regaled by powerful and emotional ballads from the first opener, Andrew Cushin. At just 23 years old, Cushin puts on a show filled with passion and left fans absolutely floored! Next came a band by the name of "The Snuts". Originally from Scotland, the Snuts know how to put on a show. With high energy songs like "Seasons", fans were jumping around & filling the center with fun dance moves and smiles.
When it finally came time for Louis to take the stage, fans were absolutely brimming with anticipation. Fog and strobes filled the scene as the opening notes of Louis's song "The Greatest" began to play. Louis' band made their way out onto the stage, and the screams were deafening as we awaited the man himself. The crowd absolutely exploded as Louis finally appeared, and proceeded to put on one of the best shows I've ever seen!
Tumblr media
When Louis began his performance, I was absolutely speechless. His voice is absolutely incredible, with the most beautiful and unique vocals of any vocalist I've ever heard. Louis sang his heart out, songs like "Bigger Than Me" and "Face The Music" from his latest album "Faith in the Future", while also bringing out some oldies from his debut album "Walls" with songs like "Kill My Mind" and "We Made It". Fans went absolutely nuts for Louis' cover of "505" by the Arctic Monkeys, and then completely lost it to Louis' new rock rendition of one of his earliest singles "Back to You" feat. Bebe Rexha. Louis sings each and every word with so much passion, and every one of his songs is an absolute work of art! Louis also takes every possible opportunity to thank his fans, saying time and time again that he wouldn’t be here if it weren't for them, and expressing just how much he loves them. At one point, Louis even took the time to sign a tattoo for a fan, a common request from his tattoo-obsessed fanbase. Louis was constantly cheesing at fans and looked to be having the absolute best time on stage, and we just couldn’t get enough of him!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Louis' left the stage proceeding his final encore, something incredible happened. One particular fan in the crowd began belting out the lyrics to "No Control", a song by One Direction that is famously known to be written by Louis himself. The entire crowd then began singing along, me right along with them, serenading Louis backstage with this and another 2 songs from his One Direction days in a nostalgic sing-along. The camaraderie within the crowd was beautiful, and it was so touching to see music bringing fans together like this.
Louis then took the stage one final time, performing an acoustic "Saturdays" under one single glowing bulb, the iconic "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" by the one and only One Direction, and finally finishing off with an off the charts performance of "Silver Tongues". Fans at the barricade scrambled to get as close as possible when Louis climbed off stage and sang the final few lines from on top of the barricade itself. Louis pulled himself out of the crowd, said one final thank you, and left the stage. With that, Louis concluded his final Florida show date of his Faith in the Future World Tour.
I could not stop smiling throughout the entirety of this show, from the incredible openers to the iconic Louis Tomlinson. As a longtime fan, I'll never get tired of seeing Louis perform, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! Louis was born to perform; From his early days as the lead in his school play of "Grease" to his chart topping years in One Direction, to now, taking his solo career to new heights every single day. It's only up from here for him, and fans and I alike cannot wait to see where he takes us next!

Helping Out (ft. Penny and Minka)
MinkaMakingherMark: can you come over to my place? with your camera. i need your help for smth!!!
-
Not too long after Penny pressed the doorbell, the door swung open, revealing a very excited Minka.
"Penny? Penny! PENNY!" Minka practically jumped at her friend. Penny stumbled back, almost falling. She's glad all that ribbon dancing helped out with her balance.
"Minka! It's good to see you too!" Penny laughed, hearing Minka's squealing in her ear.
"You actually came! YOU ACTUALLY CAME!! I was worried for a moment you were just ignoring me or something when you weren't answering that text! Hmph, how dare you?" Minka playfully crossed her arms and stuck out her tongue. Penny laughed.
"My apartment is literally one floor away from yours. I didn't think I'd have to text you a response if I could arrive in such a short time."
"Well, it still would be nice to know! Responses are reassuring."
"Is that why your text conversations with people last so long?"
"Eeeeeeeyeaaaaaaaah…"
"Aww, okay! Next time, I'll be sure of that."
"Thanks, Penns!"
“No problem! Anyway, I have my camera. Pictures and all. You said you wanted me here with it?"
"Oh, yeah, that! Come on, I'm working on a little something."
-
"What's this, Minka? It looks like a spider's web."
Penny and Minka found themselves in Minka's studio, staring at a blank corkboard. It was like those scenes in crime movies where a character is at a corkboard, and pinned to it was evidence and documents, a red string to connect it all. Except there was no evidence and documents, and the string was clear rather than red. And it even exceeded the barriers of the corkboard- little nails that stuck out of the wall had the string hooked, forming a chaotic zig-zaggy pattern.
"Oh, that's just nylon! I'm planning to use all these little clothespins to hang pictures by the string!"
"Pictures?"
"That scratch-off map you showed us a few days ago inspired me! I wanna dedicate this corkboard to well.. us. All of us. Featuring pictures of our wacky little adventures in many different places."
"I… I inspired you?" Penny’s eyes sparkled.
"Yes! So, what do you think of the idea?"
"I love it! How can I help out? If I can."
"That's why you and your camera are here, isn't it? I just realized… I don't take a lot of pictures when I travel! My phone storage would be bursting if I did, and I need somewhere easy and convenient to keep all my art ideas. But then I remembered that you're always taking pictures whenever we travel somewhere! With the camera you always bring around! I have my printer and laptop over here. We can connect your camera to it, get the photos, and print 'em out!"
"Oh, I see!"
-
"That's a lot of photos…" Minka scrolled through the thumbnails of files obtained from the camera.
"Most of them are just multiple takes, really. They're all very similar. So just pick any!" Penny looked over Minka's shoulder.
"Hmm, I dunno… Like, take a look at these. Here, Vinnie is blinking. And here's a better one where everyone actually has their eyes open. But then the thing is, in the first one where Vinnie is blinking, there's a flock of birds in the background! Which looks really good. And by the time everyone actually has open eyes, the birds have flown away.
"Don't you have some experience in photo editing? Maybe you could edit the birds into the everyone's-eyes-are-open picture."
"Oh yeahhh, why didn't I think of that?"
-
After sifting through all of those pictures, Minka finally decided on the good ones and prepared them for printing.
Printing took a little while, but it did eventually finish. The pictures came out bright and colorful.
"Alright, so you'll notice I left some space at the bottom of each picture, right?" Minka pointed.
"Right." Penny nodded.
"And here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna cut out the pictures, but leave just a bit of white at the borders- and a lot more white at the bottom- so they can look like polaroids! How about that?
"Sounds good!"
Minka took out two pairs of scissors from her front pocket, snipping them.
"Then let's cut these out!"
Both of them took their seats on the floor, scissors in one hand, printed pictures in the other.
-
"Aghhh, my back hurts…" Minka groaned as she let herself topple backwards to the floor.
"Oh my… And my hands hurt," Penny finally put down the scissors. She noticed the red marks on her skin from holding them a bit too tightly… "I guess doing things for too long does stuff to you…"
"Tell that to me next time I accidentally end up spending 5 hours on art without water breaks. Or breaks at all."
"I don't think that's good for you, Minka."
"I'm aware."
Penny was a little concerned, but decided not to press it further. Instead, she held up a picture to show Minka.
"But uh… look! We got all these nice photos! All our hard work has paid off, and now we have these! Faux polaroids, if you will! Faux polaroids? Hmm… yeah."
"Yep. Nice. We'll clip them to the string later.
"Okay… Let me clean up for us, then."
"Ohhh man. I love you so much, Penny."
"I love you too, Minka."
Penny gathered up all the pictures, straightening them into a neat and clean pile. She also picked up the little scraps and excess paper they cut off from the images.
Penny got up and placed the pictures on the nearby desk. She started making her way to the little bin in the corner of the room, the scraps in hand…
"WAIT! DON'T THROW THOSE!" Minka jolted upwards again, waving her hands in a panic.
Penny turned back to her friend, "…Huh?"
"I wanna do a paper mache thing after this! I'd rather much use old scraps than ruin perfectly good paper, y'know?"
"Oh, uh, okay then! Makes sense."
"You can just put them in that box over there. That's where I keep all my scrap papers. Ahem, uh, anyway. Let's put those pictures up!"
-
"I've always wanted to go to France. Man, Zoe is so lucky! She goes there every other week!" Minka sighed as she let the clothespin pinch the image of Zoe and Blythe at the Eiffel tower.
Penny, standing at the bottom of the chair Minka was standing on, pressed another clothespin into Minka's waiting hand, "Well, there's a difference with lifestyle and all. Her parents are rich, she's rich, she has financial security and… well, money. What do you expect?"
"Yeah, yeah. Which is why she's so lucky! The jealousy creeps in quite easily, I must say."
"I can understand that. But don't let it bother you too much."
"I guess I can try… Ope, I'm out of pictures. Hand me more, please!"
Penny did as Minka asked.
"Thanks," Minka examined the first picture at the top of the stack, "Ooh, that's me and Russell in Rio de Janeiro!"
-
"Thanks so much, Penny?"
"Hm?"
"For everything… this looks wonderful so far!"
Penny and Minka stood a few feet away from the wall, admiring their work. Many pictures were already hanging by the nylon string. Other pictures were stuck to the corkboard.
Penny, however, noticed something…
"There's still plenty of empty spaces Minka. What are your plans for those?"
"Oh. Well, tomorrow, I could decorate more of the wall with stickers and little drawings! It'd really add more to the vibe. And maybe even fairy lights? Those look really popular and aesthetic, I'll have to try that at some point! Also, whenever we go on more adventures with more pictures, I can add them here too!"
"More adventures? I think I'd like that! Though, you gotta promise me one thing…"
"…Huh?"
"Next time, take your breaks! I don't want you overworking yourself."
"Really? Oh, uh, sorry about that. It's just, I get so focused and excited! It really is just- all attention on current task, no stopping until it's done or I can't do it anymore."
"Hmm… would me sending you reminder texts help? Like 'Hey, be sure to drink your water!' or 'It's been a couple hours, how about you stop for a bit and rest?'"
"Would really appreciate it. Thanks, Penny."

The Houston Museum of Natural Science
I'm a big fan of Science Museums. The collections carried by museums are incredibly important to science (particularly paleontology, archeology, etc). So when I found myself in Houston for a day with a few hours to burn, I decided hey, let's check out the museum.
Note: I purchased the student, permanent exhibit ticket. So I cannot comment on the special exibits.
But I left a bit disappointed. In the end, the museum felt well stocked but poorly executed.
First, let me dole out my complements. The collection they possess is very impressive. The Dino hall had an impressive number of complete skeletons; there was an entire exhibit of sea shells; the mineral collection was pretty good; the archeological pieces from the North American indigenous civilizations and the ancient Egyptian civilization were numerous. They had a lot to work with.
However, almost every exhibit felt like it was trying to be an art gallery more than a museum (the dino hall and the minerals were among the worst offenders). The exhibits were also very child-unfriendly, with many of the pieces completely unprotected. They were very much trying to sell an experience more than educate. There were three separate gift shops one of which was a main entrance (though, to be fair, I expect this is as much a result of poor funding as it is poor form). Let me explain further by going floor by floor.
The lower floor: Uh, Houston. We have a problem.
The space exhibit was a small hall with some scale models of craft, a few suits, and a mercury era capsule (an actual capsule, not a replica). That's it. Humanity's greatest achievement on lackluster display. Took me literally 5 minutes to view the entire collection. For the city that's arguably the most associated with the space program, I expected more.
The first floor: dinosaur, an art form.
The first floor was partially under construction so I'll give that a bit of a pass. But the life history/dinosaur hall was really frustrating. First, it was poorly lit and confusingly laid out. If you wanted to view everything in order, you had to double back at several points. The labeling was also very poorly executed. Individual fossils weren't clearly marked, information plaques were white with small font (which in the low light were hard to find). Smaller fossils were displayed like paintings while the dinosaurs were displayed like sculptures. Seriously, the dinosaurs were on these weird white islands with lighting under them, devoid of any diorama-like scenery (see photo). It was odd.
Tumblr media
But the most egregious thing, in my opinion, was the inaccuracies in the human evolution section. Weirdly, they were concerning homo neanderthalensis each time. They mentioned Neanderthals in a few seperate places and each time listed a different time range. And on one timeline, there was shown a considerable time gap between h. sapiens and h. neandertalensis, despite the two having considerable overlap. This is a huge oversight.
The second floor: a cabinet of curious display choices.
The second floor contained animal dioramas, the seashell exhibit, the gemstone and mineral exhibit, and the, "Morian Cabnet of Curiosities." Apart from the seashells (which were in a very well-organized, well-informed exhibit), this entire floor was simply disappointing. The animal dioramas were pretty good, but very poorly lit. I felt it really detracted from the displays. The Morian Cabnet of Curiosities was a homage to the private museum-like collections that were kept by the gentry of ages past. While it was entertaining, I felt the pieces could have been viewed better if placed in proper exhibits. It also felt a bit to be glorifying a sort of imperial/colonial, take-and-display mindset of yesteryear that really has no place in modern museums.
Honestly, the biggest disappointment on this floor was the mineral and gem exhibit. As a chemist, I find minerals really fascinating. So when I see a mineral exhibit in a museum, I go in expecting to see at least non-specific metal complex names listed by the minerals being displayed. No such luck here. There was literally nothing of educational value in the entire exhibit. The whole thing was like a gemstone exhibit I would expect at a jewelry gallery. Dark room with artfully lit pieces on black satin, common names and places of origin listed. Nothing else. If I had not already had a pretty broad understanding of minerals, I would have left knowing literally nothing. The gems were also just disappointing. Several had large, visible scratches and others were covered in layers of dust. Honestly, appalling.
The third floor: a thin layer of whitewash.
The third floor contained an exhibit on the native peoples of North America and one on ancient Egypt. The Egypt one was very well stocked and incredibly well designed, visually. The information (as far as I could tell) was also accurate. Only major gripes I had were the very slight glorification of the same take-and-display mindset I mentioned earlier and the reinforcement of common Egyptian-based cinema stereotypes (music and imagry mostly). Also, Sobek was nowhere to be found, much to my personal disappointment.
To their credit, the NA peoples exhibit is clearly trying to do right by the cultures discussed. However, I felt the language used in some aspects minimized the history these cultures have been put through.
The forth floor: brought to you buy the ENTIRE FUCKING PETROLIUM INDUSTRY
Before I tear into this, let me be absolutely clear: the extraction of petroleum from the earth is a vital, necessary industry. It's pursuit has truly been beneficial to humanity in a number of ways. Similarly, the energy industry is an absolutly vital part of human civilization.
HOWTHEFUCKEVER
It is my honest opinion that petroleum is a resource we're squandering by simply burning it. We can do so much more with it as a chemical stock for making shit than we can just mindlessly setting it on fire (and destroying the planet in the process). And with access to far safer and renewable forms of energy (nuclear, geothermal, solar, wind, hydroelectric) at this point burning shit to produce energy is just mind-numbingly vacuous.
So imagine my frustration when I arrive at the fourth floor and see nothing but a glorified marketing campaign for every oil company on this forsaken rock. They called it the, "Wiess Energy hall," but it really was just the petroleum industry on parade. There was a tiny section describing the various renewable energy resources on boring displays. And not a single explanation on nuclear fission power, anywhere. Literally the only place I saw it was in one spot in a diorama detailing the energy sources in a city. Meanwhile there were dioramas of oil rigs, models of generators, an inspiring statue of an oil worker, interactive displays of deep-sea drilling, whole-ass holograms in a diorama of a coal mine, interactive displays showing how oil is separated, vr rides for exploring aspects of the industry, and a host of other superficially really cool exhibits glorifying the continued destruction of the planet. But hey, they did include one single fucking sentence mentioning climate change. So they're being responsible, right? And at every fucking one of these displays, "provided by generous donations from [insert oil family/company here]." It was abundantly clear that this was bought and paid for by the oil industry.
For some reason, the whole thing gave the same energy (pun fully intend) as this line from Jurassic Park:
Tumblr media
Final words.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science is a paradoxical crossroads where a first rate collection meets a failure of design and management. It's absolutely clear to me that the entire institution has forgone the idea of educating its guests in favor of entertaining them with curosities that glorify the less-than-noble aspects of science's history. One should expect to leave a museum with some amount of new knowledge. But I expect most leave having only learned how to drill for oil.

Jessica Biel for Details Magazine, September 2002
JENNY GAGE AND TOM BETTERTON : When shooting all-American beauty Jessica Biel (page 256), husband-and- wife team Tom Betterton and Jenny Gage wanted to keep things real. "At this point in her career, it seems like everyone wants to sex her up," says Betterton. "But her beauty is very nat- ural." The couple has shot for W, among other magazines, and has a video instal- lation opening at the Luhring Augustine Gallery in New York this month.
"If you don't sign my ass, I'm gonna have to do fifteen shots of Jack Daniel's." Rarely in the course of a lifetime does an individual get a clear opportunity to directly affect the destiny of a complete stranger. For Jessica Biel, the chance to prevent a tragic death—or at least a long, ugly night of toilet hugging-came at 4 A.M. during pledge week of her freshman year at Tufts University.
Emboldened by copious amounts of liquor (and no doubt a few keg stands), a staggering pack of frat boys descended on Biel's dorm room with a mission- to get her to scrawl her name on a pledge's butt. Despite the obscene hour, Biel shook off her initial shock and took Sharpie in hand.
"The poor guy just drops trou and bends over right in front of me," Biel says, trying her best not to blush. "So I reached out and scribbled some illegible thing, and then they took off. You know, I hope they were serious, because I felt really bad. Fifteen shots of Jack? That could kill somebody."
While it's possible that her squeaky-clean work on the WB dramedy 7th Heaven brought her to the attention of Tufts' homy mob of chronic masturbators, more likely it was her ill-fated brush with kiddie-porn infamy when she was 17. Biel sus- pected that her Heaven-sent image had kept her from landing the meaty role in American Beauty that went to Thora Birch. So, at a magazine shoot, she had Frank W. Ockenfels 3 take pictures of her sprawled out in nothing but high heels and a thong. As if the photos weren't saucy enough, the article painted her as a foul- mouthed Lolita trying to bait Aaron Spelling into booting her off the show so she could pursue a proper big-screen career.
Part One of the equation worked like a charm: Soon after the story hit news- stands in March 2000, her character was packed off to do some soul-searching, and returns in just a handful of episodes. But the movie-star part? Well, let's
just say that the resounding thud of her first post-pinup role-Summer Catch- made her realize that there are worse fates than an eternity in Heaven.
"Yes, the pictures were supposed to be a little more mature and sexy than what I'd done before, but it went further than what I expected or wanted it to, she says. "Looking back, I would've made a different choice. I learned a shitload from the experience and grew a lot—but I wouldn't do it again.”
The year at Tufts helped bring her back to earth; tiny Medford, Massachu setts, was the perfect place to plot her next move. "I was pretty depressed, but most of all I was angry that I put myself in that situation," she says. "I never wanted to get off 7th Heaven. I just wanted to go to college."
She'll return to Tufts this fall, but not before giving the movies another shot In October she'll star alongside James Van Der Beek, Shannyn Sossamon, and Kip Pardue in The Rules of Attraction. Based on the Bret Easton Ellis novel, it'sa satiric look at a sexual triangle among friends at a New England liberal-arts col lege. Biel passed on a nude scene, but still manages to play against type-jus like she's always wanted.
"What's most impressive about Jess is that she's really brave when the camera rolls," says Van Der Beek. "There was this one scene where she had to break down and cry, and she nailed it on the first take. She absolutely grabbed the scene by the balls. The girl knows her shit."
Biel admits that returning to the cineplex after her public comeuppance is bit nerve-racking, but she's ready to put the controversy behind her. "You do crazy things when you're 17, and I've changed a lot since then," the 20-year-old says with a smile. "I'm finally ready to show people that there is very different side of me."
The woman in Bungalow 27 at the Topanga Ranch Motel is getting nervous. So is the dandered militia of meowing cats pouring from every loose shingle of her beachfront cottage. She emerges from behind her rusting screen door, kitty tucked under one arm, and steps over an assortment of food-encrusted dishes to size up Biel.
"This isn't a party, is it?" she demands.
Biel names the approaching stranger Cat Woman under her breath, then charms her into submission. "Yes, ma'am," she says, managing to sound more sweet than smarmy. "The frat boys are on their way." Curiosity quenched, the Cat Woman herds her feline conga line back into the house and retreats.
Looking like a SoCal queen with her low-slung jeans and flip-flops, Biel has and arrived at this Pacific-coast hideaway to step in front of a photographer's lens once again. This time around, she'll prove she can turn it on without taking it off. After she wraps up here, she'll hop a plane for Austin to begin filming the just remake of seventies trash classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A horror junkie,
Biel snagged the role by auditioning for producer Michael Bay himself, and she's obviously ecstatic about reimagining Leatherface's sordid tale.
She coils up on the bed of the cramped motel room and rocks back and forth as she excitedly describes one of the scenes.
"I jump out a window and gash my knee, but I'm still running," she explains, eyes wide. "I'm in these semi-stiletto clogs and I trip and twist my ankle. So now I'm bleeding and I've got a busted ankle. But I'm not the typical horror-movie wuss girl-not at all. I get right back up on my feet and keep on running." Falling down and getting back up again? It's something Biel has become pretty damn good at. Leatherface had better watch out.■

So back in October I posted some of my old DBZ art for the first time, and now here it is March and Akira Toriyama has passed away.
So I'm back with more and a story about the adventure it took my brother to get me into DBZ in the first place and why it now holds a special place in my heart.
Back when we were growing up, we weren't allowed to watch anime. It was one of the weird rules my dad set that to this day still has no explanation. At some point in middle school or early high school my brother got introduced to DBZ Abridged, and spent a few years trying to get me into it (and failing). I knew very little about DBZ but just enough that when I attempted to watch Dragonball Evolution I knew it was fucked up (also it was boring WITHOUT knowing everything).
But we'd play video games together, and after years of playing Super Smash Bros together, my brother knew the one surefire way to get me invested in SOMETHING DBZ.
And that was DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2.
The first five characters I chose from that roster to fight him as ended up being my favorites (hint: most of the art that's colored in this post is a character I picked in 2010 to play).
From there he got me interested enough to buy low priced DBZ VHS movies from Amazon (the Bardock special was $1.01 with 99¢ shipping in 2010, btw) and watch them. And then threw a Pokemon reference in Abridged he got me into watching that.
For the longest time, I was hooked on the random pieces of DBZ I could absorb, which meant watching the ever growing collection of movies we had, each new episode release of Abridged, and occasionally even watching bits and pieces of DBZ Kai. I even started collecting the manga for both DBZ and OG Dragon Ball. I didn't get around to watching the actual DBZ series until 2018 (my first watched anime series is actually FMA: Brotherhood because of this).
But it was something I shared with my brother and we had so much fun playing Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 with each other. We've always played fighting games with random options in such a way that every first few matches we would just hit the random character button and play out whatever happened from there before finally playing as the characters we cared about. We would spend hours, especially with Budokai Tenkaichi 3, making our own tournament brackets and then playing them through. Each match would be fought by us, 1v1, and if one of the two characters was one we were good at, that person would get to play them. For matches that neither of us had a character to play, we'd flip a coin. We'd come up with our own silly rules for these tournaments and it was a blast. Once my brother almost won an entire thing as Kid Chi-Chi because he was really fucking good as her and even Omega Shenron's health advantage couldn't stop her. My brother could beat the shit out of Broly as Videl because she was so tiny it was hard to see her next to Broly.
I still don't watch a lot of anime, but DBZ is one of the four I do hold closest to my heart. And it's for a lot of reasons, like laughing with my brother as we decided to turn on The Lion Sleeps Tonight as background music for DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 instead of the game's music (starting a tradition where wheneber we play fighting games we use our own playlist of music for it instead). It's for reasons like watching Abridged with my brother whenever the new episodes would drop, and being there for the Livestream premiere of Episode 60 after finishing all of DBZ only weeks earlier. It's for reasons like seeing Dragon Ball Super: Broly in theaters twice, and being so hyped to see not only Broly on the big screen, but Bardock who's been my favorite since day one. It's for reasons like the collection of photos I have of my brother doing Ginyu Force poses on a beach in 2010, for us pretending to give Goku energy during the series' final Spirit Bomb, for being so excited to see Android 17 back in DB Super. It's one of the things that I never thought we'd care about, but that I've cared about enough from the beginning that I made all this art in 2010, during our yearly beach trip, after only being a fan for a few months (the coloring came years later though).
And yes. There is a collection of poorly written DBZ fanfics buried both on my external hard drive and box of physical stories, but they're buried forever. There is a DBZ and a Dragon Ball fanfic by me on ff.net however so if anyone wants to see if they can figure out my 11/12 year old account, this blog has enough context clues somewhere to figure it out (maybe the DBZ one will get cross posted to AO3 and backdated someday who knows).
If it werent for Akira Toriyama and Dragon Ball, my brother and I would have had one less thing to bond over, and honestly? Wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm back at home. And I'm glad that I came home because it's nice to take a real shower and wash my hair for real. Taking a shower up camp is never going to be exactly correct.
But it was a pretty good day even if my neck was still bothering me and I was pretty tired. Last night I did stay up until around 11:00 but I slept until 4:00 before I woke up. I was pretty cold and ended up having both fuzzy blankets and both of my rumple blankets on the hammock with me. And that kept me pretty comfortable but it was shockingly cold last night. And even when I woke up this morning it was still pretty chilly.
When I got up I took some time to try to feel clean. I feel like I wake up and I feel like sweet smelling. Like sickly sweet. And I don't know why that is. It makes me nervous though because of the concern about prediabetes. Is that a side effect of that I have no idea. I need to look into it but I don't like smelling sickly sweet so I did my best to get cleaned up and then got dressed and actually had to wear my fleece for most of the day cuz I'm so chilly.
I did sleep in a little bit later than I had planned but there was nothing I needed to do this morning so it didn't really matter. Once I did get up I went for a little walk but I found no mushrooms. I didn't find much of anything interesting. I just kind of walked around and enjoyed how cool it was. I went to Pat the goats but they smelled sickly sweet too. Which makes me think it's just me. Something was stuck in my sinuses. But we try our best.
When I got back to the art building I had a yogurt. And made sure everything was already heard the day. Got the hot glue guns plugged in and then it was just waiting. For my last talk to bar group.
Anton was back and he was very helpful. He also was very cold. So I let him use my sweatshirt but I wore yesterday. And thankfully it would warm up within the hour so both of us were fine. He had accidentally slept through his alarm yesterday and then once his family realized he was still home they had him help his aunt move and her new house and he was just very busy. But it was nice to have him back and have the help but he did a disappear a few times today for meetings without telling me. And it's fine but he's 16 and I don't want to be responsible for losing him in the woods.
Top bar did great. Like they always do. And then we were waiting for the pioneer boys but they didn't come. Because it turns out that they are no longer coming on Wednesday mornings they're always going to come on Thursday afternoons which I hate but it's fine. It's six kids it's not like it's a huge deal it's just I don't like having programs that late. But I'll do it because that's the way it is and I don't care that much it's just a little annoyance. At least it's Thursday which is the day I stay over anyway.
So we had a random break hour but because we didn't know the boys weren't coming we didn't really treat it as a break. Louisa came and hung out with us and me and her looked through my outfit photos and I told her about different clothing I had and where the pictures were taken and then we sat outside and looked at pictures of art on my phone and just talked about nonsense until it was lunch time.
Lunch could have been good. But it was not good. They had grilled cheese and we thought they had tomato soup. But the grilled cheese was on wheat bread which I do not like. They only used one slice of cheese which made it very thin and then it was not tomato soup it was just marinara sauce. I still ate it but it wasn't great and I really just wanted to go lay down. So after we had food and we chatted for a little while. Especially staff who still sits together. I went back up to their building and I closed the doors and locked them and turned off the lights.
I had a great time sitting alone for an hour. It was quiet and cool and I was very comfortable in the hammock. But my neck was still hurting me and honestly I was hoping that stretching would make it better but it wasn't helping as much as it really should have. Honestly now it feels a little bit better after I did a lot of stretching this evening but it is very frustrating how much it hurts. I'm glad I'm going to the doctor on Monday and I'm going to say something. I don't know if this is a time where I meet with the doctor but it's fine all still make sure they make a note of it. Along with my wrist.
My afternoon groups were nice. Anton would come back and then leave for a meeting again but then I thought he was missing and it was a whole thing but it was fine. My groups did good. We struggled to clean up but not shocking. And I enjoyed my half hour break outside. I did have to stop and fix some of the hammocks because they are getting really beat up. The one is definitely going to be trash after this year but I'm hoping that the other two will survive a little longer. It's just getting shared a lot and I have been leaving them outside which I know is a bad idea because of weather. But I've been lazy about it and that's really my fault.
The stockade boys would come on time which was very surprising. And none of them really wanted to do anything. Which is fair but I made them at least make bracelets. And they were sweet boys. I taught a few of the counselors how to make circle loom bracelets and I worked on my sewing. I am on row 12 but did not get the chance to finish it today because I had to cast some metal for one of the counselors yesterday who did not work. But it came out really nice today so I'm really happy and I hope that she loves it.
But back to my sewing I'm really excited about how much progress I made. I'm hoping that sewing the actual long rose together now will not take more than the next week. And then I can do any finishing work after that in the last week of camp because there's only two after this and I'm really hoping to be done this blanket before camp is over. I really love how it looks though and I'm excited that I have this one and I'm hoping to start another one soon. The next one I want to have larger squares and then I would like to make a few small pieces because I want to start thinking about Christmas gifts and I would love to make some pieces for Christmas so I'm hoping to get to the craft store to buy way too much yarn but it's for good and I'm happy about that.
The end of the day could not come quick enough. My last half hour felt like a million years but I had Anton and Alicia in the art building sweeping and getting everything ready for tomorrow while CJ was cutting cardboard for me. She had to take a vow of silence today for a secret society thing so she was always just writing a notebooks to communicate which I thought was very funny. But I'm very excited for her because it's something she's excited about. And I love CJ so I want her to be happy. Even if I do not understand the secret society.
And at the end of the day I said goodbye to everyone and went down to the office to check in. I wanted to talk to Elizabeth and Heather about my worksheet that I worked on yesterday which I'm still really proud of and told them my next steps. There was a typo in one spot so I wanted to fix that and then I was chatting with them and I went outside because there was something in the AED that I wanted to get. Specifically the AED box that we don't keep The actual AED in. And of course the AED was on top of it and when I opened the box it fell and it broke my fingernail backwards. And it mostly embarrassed me because I'm afraid that I broke something very expensive but mostly it was just scary. And I totally that we need to build some kind of hook to keep it on there because keeping it on top of the box is not safe. Yes ideally it would go inside the box but it's too big. Mostly I was just embarrassed.
I left after that making sure that the building was closed up and then I was on the road. But I wasn't in a rush to get back to the house instead I took myself to Hunt valley. There was a bunch of construction around it and I got a little confused so I parked in the far away parking lot and walked over to the shopping center and decided to go to five below first. Where I didn't find any of the stuff that was actually looking for but I did get new black nail polish which I was out of and then some fun candies and a chapstick that smells disgusting. I was very disappointed in the chapstick but everything else was fine. And then I walked over to Chipotle where the man was very nice and I got exactly what I wanted and I wasn't missing anything which was a nice change of pace because I feel like the last couple times I've gone to Chipotle It has been very disappointing. I walked all the way back to the back parking lot and ate half of my bowl in the car. And watched a video and once I was done I drove home. And there was almost no traffic so I got back here around 6:00.
When I got back I parked and brought my stuff inside. I was very happy to see James but they said I looked visibly tired. Which was fair I was very visibly tired. A few times today kids were asking me if I was okay because I seemed so down. But mostly it was just cuz my neck hurt. Even Elizabeth asked if I was okay and when I gave her a thumbs down she was very concerned. And like emotionally the day was fine My body just hurts. And I'm a little burnt out and I'm glad that I talked to Heather about my start date for being full-time which is going to be the day after Labor Day. So I will have two weeks off. It's going to be great.
James would help me lay out my rows so that we could pin pairs together so that it would be easier for me to figure out when I'm going to be sewing and then we talked about stuff and they told me that the missing package from yesterday showed up which I'm thrilled I have no idea what the package was but that had really upset them so I'm glad that a neighbor just took it by accident. And then I set myself up in the bathroom because I wanted to dye my hair.
I don't normally dye my hair during summer camp because I go swimming a lot but this year I haven't been swimming as often and even when I do go swimming there's only been two times where I put my head underwater. So I decided that this would be good for my mental health and I would just make myself feel a little bit better.
So I dyed my hair and then I got myself together while my hair was setting to work on the inside of my journal hand out for my field trip. And I'm really happy with that. I feel like maybe needs a little bit more inside color-wise or image wise but I'm really happy with everything else and I think it's going to be a really good take home object. Next I'm going to work on my intro and my closing PowerPoints. But I'm very happy with the progress I've made so far.
Once I was done I would rinse my hair out which took a while. It's a lot easier to do when it's not freezing because the water doesn't hurt my head. And I would just take up really nice shower after that and try to feel better.
And now I'm sitting here texting Jeff because she just signed all the paperwork for her house and she's in her house that she bought with her money setting up her Wi-Fi. I am so happy for her. I cannot wait when it can be me and James doing this because I'm just so proud of my friend and also jealous that she has this whole new space a new adventure. And I get to go see her next weekend and I'm so excited about that too! So I'm sitting here texting her and painting my toes and listening to James play D&D with their friends. And I just feel happy inside even if my body hurts.
I hope that you are all having a good night. I hope that tomorrow is kind to you and that the weather continues to be nice. I hope you have fun. Sleep well everybody. Until next time.

Opposites attract(movie version) - Encanto au: Info
Dolores already heard the argument her mama and Abuela had, and frankly, she thought Abuela was being very mean. She told Camilo what had happened so he didn't like Alma's attitude either.
When it came to leaving, Camilo and Dolores had already packed their bags and were waiting for their parents.
Bruno and Felix weren't surprised, they have a daughter who can hear everything and can barely keep a secret. Of course, she heard and told Camilo about it.
Before they left, Felix told the kids to write letters to their primas, Tias, and Tio.
Dolores made sure to leave an extra note for Abuela, the note addresses everything they felt about the matter, and... they used words they should have not used.
After they fully left Encanto, Felix took his family back to his family's house in Bogota.
His family had visited Encanto for the wedding so they know Bruno, and they already knew of Dolores and Camilo when they were born.
Felix explained everything and they got to stay at Felix's parent's house.

and Felix (the first) Arcoíris.
Tumblr media
The Felix we know was usually called Felix Jr when he lived with them.
Dolores and Camilo already know of their town family because of photos so they were happy to meet them.
Felix had slightly forgotten all the technology that was being developed during his time there but he still knows his way around.
Bruno, Dolores, and Camilo however, have never seen it at all. Felix thought it was adorable how they reacted to some technology.
They certainly weren't used to cars
"Papa, what is that thing?" Dolores asks pointing at a truck
"That's a truck Mija"
Tumblr media
"What. is. that?" Camilo asks
"That's a Chiva bus"
Tumblr media
(all of this stuff is from the concept art)
"It's so colorful" Dolores beams
"And BIG" Camilo cheers
For a whole month, Felix showed them everything he thought to show them. After a few more months settled in, Dolores and Camilo were enrolled in school. Bruno had to find a way to pass the time, he already knew how to sew, cook, and clean but he wanted to do more than that.
He started his passion in screenwriting. His scripts were amazing and hilarious in some bits.
Bruno began performing some of the stories he made in public and Felix set up his trinket shop a few blocks away.
Felix always had a knack for crafting, he can make 30 necklaces in one day without getting tired or stressed. He can make rings, hair clips, necklaces, bracelets, and small bead bags.
That's all I got for now, I hope you enjoyed it!
I'll elaborate on Felix's family in the next post.

It's been a while. I've been down with a cold and had more reasons not to leave the house. I made a wall- okay, don't call me silly. But I figured it was easier to recollect my thoughts after putting everything with sticky notes on a wall and organizing it.
Until today I haven't gotten a letter for trespassing and have high hopes it won't come. Even if it comes, it will be a nice distraction from what I saw in Werner's appartment. I took photos, yet it was pretty dark. Only the moon and my torch lit a few spaces. Here's what I found:
Tumblr media
Transcript of the first page:
When you get into the narrow hallway you'll turn right and then you get into a gigantic room that is a living room, a study room and a kitchen. It is filled with antique stuff, most things I have never seen. The window was smashed and the glass was spread on the floor, there was still dried blood on the wooden planks.
Tumblr media
Transcript of the second page:
Texts and words in an angelic font are on the wall, I think it has to be blood. The big symbol in the middle of the wall still has drippings on it.
Tumblr media
Transcript of the third page:
More text. Note how big it was written and how high. There weren't shoeprints on the couch so did the Monstrum bring a ladder? Or is he simply really tall?
Tumblr media
Transcript of the fourth page:
This is the thing on the wall. I shone my light at it and I wish I hadn't, it looks way too disturbing- it was made in blood. It was painted with liquid blod since it was dripping. I couldn't see whether it was done by finger or hand or with a brush. I have never seen this symbol anywhere and I should run it through thw library's pcs.
Tumblr media
Transcript of the fifth page:
Werner's pc was unlocked, there was only a screensaver. I guess the police had already taken it with them and brought it back or, more likely, they haven't taken it in since Werner has nothing but his emails and a browser on his pc. Anything else is printed out and spread around his house.
He also has rooms further into the house, he lived in a maisonette apartment. Above is his bedroom and a small study room alongside with a bathroom. I saw some books on Nephilim on a desk and in his shelves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transcript of the sixth page:
Here I have printed out the two emails that were open in the mail account. One is by Werner to Carvier. I have more questions after reading through the mails.
Werner mentions a "Sanglyph" yet doesn't explain what it is. I hope there's information in books or somewhere.
A guy named Eckhardt is mentioned here and apparently he lived, and was killed by the LV.
The Lux Veritatis killed him, so he can't live until today. I found his name mentioned in several sources yet they never claimed he was murdered. I should check on him since Werner finds him important it seems.
Werner mentioned Vasiley, and I also have a letter that is by him.
What are "Obscura Engravings"? They have to be conncected to someone or something right?
Why would you want to x-ray paintings? There has to be something inside of them that can be spotted this way. Metal can be as far as i know, and bones,...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transcript of the seventh page:
This one is a mail that Carvier has gotten from a man called Mathias Vasiley. Werner has the mail too, I think Carvier just talked to Vasiley first and then forwarded it to him.
The contents are from an art gallery in Prague. It includes their adress as well. I have even more questions now and perhaps someone can answer them? I wonder if there's someone with a tip or a clue or anything...please, if you know something, write me anonymously.
I will contact the gallery and keep on pretending I'm an art student.
Mathias mentions that the engravings are paintings as well. Paintings of paintings that is. Why would you not take a photo?
Random monastery somewhere in Spain. very good location, much clue, such information
Since there are five paintings it could mean these are theengravings, or they are the metioned paintings of paintings. Or what is it?
You can tell there is so much information and I still feel bad about breaking into Werner's place. I don't even know him. I just randomly stumbled upon...his friend and his murder.
I need to get deeper into this. My search for the castle still hasn't brought up anything. I want to look for everything at once and I think I might need more hands for that work. I'll get some sleep and hopefully get well soon to figure out what the hell is going on.

Exploring San Juan del Sur
I left early in the morning to walk up the road to Cafe Maderas before it got really hot. I was the only person there and ordered myself a smoothie bowl which was served up by a guy called Tim from New Zealand. After my breakfast I went for a quick dip in the pool again, the Israelis were already walking the tightrope and speaking loudly to each other in Hebrew confident that no one would be able to understand them. When one of the girls fell off the tightrope and splashed me, she apologised and I said "hakol beseder" (it's all good). Her face went white as she thought then that I could understand everything they'd been saying! I assured her I don't know that much Hebrew actually and we chatted for a bit. Deme, Sav, Flora, Jess and I got a ride to the edge of the town and then we walked the steep ten minutes up to the Christ statue. We were all sweating buckets by the top and took some photos of each other sweaty and red-faced but with a stunning backdrop of San Juan del Sur. We walked about 20-30 minutes down the beach to get into the town and cooled off in the little mini mart with some bottles of water. After looking in a few shops, we sat for coffee at La Tostaderia and I had the best flat white of Central America so far. Deme was also pleased, she had one there and got another one to go! We had run into Tyrza at the mini mart so I went for lunch with her at Simpleton's for fish n chips while the girls did more shopping and then had their own lunch. Tyrza and I split up for the last half hour before the ride back, I went to the Art Warehouse for a look, bought some Tshirts, and then ran over to Indio del Sur coffeeshop to get an iced latte for the road. The bus was a chicken bus, like a larger version of the red trucks in Chiang Mai in Thailand. Just some benches in the back and everyone has to hold their possessions for dear life as we sped over the dirt road. Another swim was in order at the hostel pool and then Tyrza, Georgia and I walked to Hush Maderas for dinner together. I had fish n chips again since Simpletons was average and I trusted this place a bit more! The chips were very crispy but it was a good dinner since the night had cooled off and we weren't sweating. I had an early night to catch up on some of my blog notes and rest up for the border crossing to Costa Rica tomorrow. The jungle party was happening that night and everyone else from the group went. I wondered what would happen with creepy Joel and all the girls... I drifted in and out of sleep, hearing thumping music in the distance until about 5am.

kuju flower park
If you've seen some of my past posts about flowers in Japan, you'll know that they don't mess around with flowers here. Japan is full of many huge and beautiful flower gardens that you can visit in the spring and summer. So in late April, my partner and I traveled to Kuju Flower Park in Oita prefecture, nestled between the Aso and Kuju mountains, to enjoy the many spring flowers in bloom.
According to Explore Kumamoto, the Kuju Flower Park is home to more than 3 million plants of 500 different varieties, covering 59 acres of land. The periods of blooming between flower species cycles in and out from March to November, so there are always blooming flowers to see no matter what time of year it is!
Tumblr media
When we first entered the park, we visited a large field with various mixed colorful flowers in it. There were tracks between each section of flowers, so you could walk through them and be surrounded by the flowers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had dressed in a floral shirt for the occasion, so of course I had to take a picture next to the matching daisies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They also had this cute photo spot where you could set up your phone with a timer.
Tumblr media
In addition to the many outdoor flower gardens, there was also a greenhouse filled with various tropical plants and more flowers, including begonias and fuchsia shrubs. They also had some pretty decorative statues and another photo spot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the corner of the greenhouse, they also had a little spot to pull fortunes, maybe based on your birth month? I didn't try it, but it was in front of a beautiful statue, so it felt like a goddess watching over you as you drew your fortune.
Tumblr media
Next we headed back outside to a huge field full of nemophila flowers, also known as baby blue eyes in America. You could again walk along tracks within the flowers to be in the middle of a sea of blue blossoms. When the weather is clear, you can see the Kuju mountains as a backdrop to the flowers for a breathtaking view.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From there we continued on to another section with many colorful poppies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nearby, we found another field of colorful linarias, commonly known as toadflax.
Tumblr media
We headed up the hill next, passing the tulip fields, which had just passed their blooming window and had begun to wilt. I'm sad that we missed their full bloom, but some of the red ones were still very bright.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, we walked to the very outskirts of the park to look for the shibazakura, or moss phlox in English. We had just missed the blooming period on these as well, but there was still a tiny bit of color left to enjoy.
Tumblr media
The park also had various shops and food stands to enjoy that sold local and organic goods. They also sold ice cream flavors like blueberry and lavender using the plants from the park. I didn't try any, but it was really popular and was a lovely color!
On our way out of the flower park, we found a friendly cat sitting by our car, so of course I gave him a few pats and took a picture.
Tumblr media
As we drove away through the Aso mountains back to my partner's home in Kumamoto, we stumbled upon a strange place. It was filled in every direction with large hedge sculptures, most of them birds. They were placed on both sides of a big ravine and painted a very imposing picture.
Tumblr media
There weren't any signs or tourist shops, just a field of these hedges on the side of the road, accompanied by a rusty shed and some deer, chickens, rabbits, and a goat kept in pens. It was so strange and fascinating. It seemed to me that somebody used the space for their hobby, but people could stop by and admire the sculptures if they liked.
Tumblr media
Some of the sculptures had very obviously been given boobs or genetalia, so the artist had quite a sense of humor about his art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was even a sculpture in the distance made to look like the Nagasaki Peace Statue!
Tumblr media
I found another friendly cat wandering around the grounds near the rabbits and chickens. I followed him to a box where he jumped up and laid down. Written on the box, it said you could buy food for the rabbits and cats by leaving it in the box. This smart little kitty led me over to the box to feed him. There was also a sign saying "looking for female goat," to be a companion for their other goat, which I thought was funny. What a strange and interesting place we found.
Tumblr media
This day had an interesting ending, but of course it was a lot of fun to see all of the beautiful plants (and TWO cats)! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed <3
