Havia alguns limites que Mei estava disposta a explorar nesse novo mundo. Um chá, uma conversa, até mesmo um tapete voador do seu filme favorito de infância, mas...nado com sereias? Não. "Sei que está certa. Não é tudo preto ou branco, mas ainda assim, de onde eu venho nós temos estudos que conhecemos mais sobre o espaço do que sobre o fundo do mar, e eu tenho quase certeza que eu não sei nadar. HE COULDN'T believe he was here. hands placed on his lap, knees together, sitting rather awkwardly in the sitting room of the carlisle estate. after the previous ball, especially after the moment he shared with one particular carlisle — it was safe to say that his mind was plagued by her. after their eyes met for the very last time that night, he first thought it was merely a feeling that would fleet. he waited, seven days to be exact, yet nothing has changed. he thought maybe, just maybe, being in her presence would finally ease the intensity of his thoughts. it was right at the start of calling hours. knowing that there would most likely be a line of gentleman waiting, he wanted to be the first. just as he was about to adjust his seating, the door opens before him. the eldest patel then stands before approaching, bowing with his head. "miss carlisle," a genuine smile graces across his lips. "i suppose you're wondering why i'm here." he chuckles. he couldn't even figure that out himself. clearing his throat, he presents out a golden, circular tin wrapped in a light blue patterned ribbon. "they're sweets from back home. i thought you might enjoy jalebi as much as i do."

Never getting over how differently howl's moving castle book and movie treat the scarecrow

it's been said before, but leverage season two really is a masterclass of writing around a lead actress' pregnancy. they knew they'd have to give her time off for maternity leave, so they set up a character development plot line near the start of the season which was a natural direction for the character to go based on how she'd already been written. then for the first several episodes leading up to her leave, film her from the chest up or show her back, with only some reliance on loose shirts and large jackets. have her character's development/crisis require her to take time off for herself, but write small scenes that can easily be pre-recorded, so she's never actually gone from the show. then let her return.

it's a great combination of understanding the character, being able to plan good plots ahead of the time, and not being so misogynistic that you resent actors for getting pregnant.
