Summary: The story of Soreas Lennart, a young lalafell pirate, and his final days with his crew, the Raging Wolves. Embroiled in a plot filled with treachery and deceit, will he live to see the dawn of a new chapter of his life?

The port seemed busier than usual that day, or was it always like that? Either way, the young lalafell watched the comings and goings of people with an enraptured gaze, from the deckhands minding their ships to the burly porters hauling cargo onto the docks. The child came here every day, sneaking away from the watchful matrons at the orphanage who would doubtless tell him to mind his own business and stay out of the way. According to this teenager, however, this was his business. He wanted to be on a ship. Not just any ship, mind–nothing but a pirate’s life would satisfy him, even if he was much too young to be placing himself in that kind of danger. It’s all he ever wanted for as long as he could remember, however, and today was the day he was going to have his way.

LA SQUADRA CHRISTMAS HEADCANON CAUSE TODAY IT'S PANDORO DAY YAAAAY!! ( Also i feel a lot better, thanks for the support you beautiful cinnamon buns )

Risotto ✂️: During christmas time he suddenly disappears and nobody knows why, but the rest of La Squadra learned the hard lesson of NEVER MIND RISOTTO'S BUSINESS...The punishment is long and painful..But truth is, he goes undercover as a "normal" 28 year old guy and, with the support of the local charity organisation, brings presents to the kids who lost one or both parents in a street accident. To them Santa isn't a fat guy dressed in red, but a tall af goth man with red eyes.

Prosciutto 🍖: He likes to be alone in this time of the year, too many hypocritical and chaotic parties in his family. So the 24th of december he says goodbye to his fellow teammates and hides inside his apartment till the whole deal is over. The fireplace lighting up the room, a nice glass of Passito di Pantelleria( a sicilian wine) nearby and a book. In the end, he truly doesn't need much to be happy.

Melone 🍈: Our fave purple weirdo is a man of science, so christmas doesn't mean that much to him. But he LOVES christmas movies; in fact he loves it so much he forces the entire team to watch every year a different one: he gets, blankets, hot cocoa ( with alcool inside of course), matching ugly sweaters and socks. They all sit on the carpet or the old sofa in the lair's living room and watch whatever Melone wants, they know his past and for once, they are glad to see him enjoy something normal for once.

Formaggio 🧀: Growing up in a very big and traditional italian family, he is more attached to this festivity than anyone in his team. He was also an only child, but had tons of cousins so whenever the whole family met up chaos ensued. Wine, tons of lasagne, board games, using Pandoro and Panettone's box as helmets to play knights...For sure they weren't the richest family in Centocelle, but they were close, and for Maggio that was everything. With his job now he doesn't have much time to visit, but he sends christmas cards to every single member of his famiglia every year.

Iluso 🔍: Best at gift giving, hands down on that. He spies regularly on his teammates, 80% cause he is a lil " stronzo " and 20% cause he cares...a tiny bit. Being also the sneakiest he changes locations to hide the presents every year so no one knows where he puts them; and he'll never admit that the smile that grows on his face whenever Pesci finds a brand new fishing gear, Risotto smells the aroma of his favourite coffee brand...maybe, just maybe is truly genuine.

Ghiaccio 🧊: You are a mean one..Mr Grinch...That's his theme song, and you won't change my mind. This blue angry Veneto gremlin HATES Christmas with all his heart. The only thing he appreciates is the fact that his teammates bring him in their garage and let him destroy a christmas tree ( complete with decorations and fake presents under the branches) with a baseball bat. And between the loud bangs and shattering glass sounds, people can clearly hear him screaming " TE DAGO NA SMEMANA, TO SOREA VACAAAAAAAAAA!!! ( i'll beat you to pulp, your sister is a cow)" It happens every year, and he is silently glad for the effort they put to make the tree more resistent everytime.

Pesci 🐟: The one guy that secretly believes in Santa even at 20 years old, they tried to break his christmas spirit but nobody succede in this. Making Dinner, decorating the tree, going to the midnight Mass the 24th of December...Pesci does everything in his possibilities to spend every christmas like he did when he was a child. He had a wonderful time as a kid and he wants for his teammates to feel the same joy and enthusiasm like he did...fails everytime cause c'mon we are talking about La squadra but hey, there's still next year.

Reactivating Blog!

(( Hi all! I’ll be reactivating this blog within the next week (give or take, work depending). It has been several years since I’ve posted here, though, and I know some people re-purpose their blogs for different fandoms etc. and might have changed focus.

So! This is a blog for a primal-corrupted lalafell named Soreas, an OC from Final Fantasy XIV. There will be roleplay here as well as aesthetic posts relating to the character. While there were not safe for work posts here in the past (and you will find these tagged properly if you go searching through the archives), posts going forward will be SFW so this blog doesn’t get eaten by Tumblr. 

Now, if the above doesn’t sound like your cup of tea (or pint of ale), please take the opportunity to unfollow and curate your own space! I will not hold it against anyone. I frankly don’t know who is still active, who isn’t, and who is in a completely different fandom now.

“Red sky at morning, sailor’s warning,” or at least that’s how the saying went. Soreas was as superstitious as any other pirate, but less so than some he’s seen – thankfully, the captain wasn’t the type to moor on a rosy morning such as this one.

Soreas wandered on deck, stretching as he took in the salty morning air. Despite the ominous premonition in the sky, it looked like it would be a nice day for sailing, at least from the looks of things. 

He paused, though, when he saw Ganeymedes leaning on the rail, looking out to sea – the older lalafell wasn’t the type to woolgather like that, preferring to busy himself at first light.

“S’reas,” he slurred, nodding at the navigator as he settled at the rail next to him. “Int’restin’ morning, innit? ‘Specially if yer the ‘stitious sort.”

Soreas raised an eyebrow. The stench of alcohol was already thick on Ganeymedes’ breath, though it was hard to tell if he’d already been drinking this morning or if this was a leftover from the night before; either way, it wasn’t like him to be drunk – or still drunk – come dawn.  The older lalafell let out a hearty belch before unhooking the flask at his belt, taking a good, long swig from it before offering it to Soreas, who raised a hand to indicate he’d pass.

Ganeymedes grunted, putting away the alcohol at his hip before looking out at sea once more. “What d’you think, S’reas? How’s it like being on a ship that barely brings anythin’ in?”

Soreas blinked. He didn’t expect that kind of question out of him. “Come again?”

“Don’cha think the cap’n’s gone soft?” he muttered, unconsciously taking the flask again and bringing it to his lips. After a moment, he wiped his mouth before pointing at Soreas with the top of the flask. “Y’ken do so much better, y’know, being with a bigger ‘n better crew that c’n rake in th’ goods.”

“Maybe,” Soreas admitted, before turning so that his back was to the rail. “I have faith in the cap’n, though; things are tough for pirates all over, what with the Yellowjackets crackin' down on anyone who looks at them with both eyes.” He paused, thinking about it for a while before smirking at the older pirate. “Nah, I have faith that the tides’ll turn eventually.”

“Optimistic to a fault, ain’tcha?” Ganeymedes scoffed, putting away his flask and looking at Soreas with what seemed like a disappointed look. “Well, we’ll see where that takes ya.” 

With that, the older lalafell pushed himself off the rail, wandering in the direction of stairs leading below deck. Soreas watched him go, unable to hide his expression of bewilderment.

“... what was that all about…?”
