I have been inspired for spooky bitch season. Presenting a southern gothic meets cosmic horror trip into a house that can never be clean, strange siblings, and the rumbling in the basement. 

Rating: Explicit

Warning: Major dead dove, tentacles galore, fertility issues, miscarriage mentions, abortion, murder, grime and guts, incest.

Helaena looked like something more of the heavens than earth. Her white hair, delicate features, and dreamy eyes made something in your stomach twist. You felt lost in her orbs, confused on why they looked purple. You’d blink and they’d be blue again. She smiled gently, setting a lace gloved hand on your elbow.

Her own porcelain face looked strange, empty gaze piercing through you as she exclaimed in glee, “Oh, it’s beautiful, so beautiful, the most beautiful sight.” You held your expression from fear, her words echoing within and around you, a cold chill up your spine.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

You repeated the prayer in your mind until Helaena released her grip, murmuring, “She’ll have one..maybe two…in the fecund garden.”

I wrote a short story about a Guy named Micah who winds up in a town where a Preist saves him only to sacrifice Micah to a hellish being of unknown origin. That being rejects Micah as a sacrifice and makes Micah the head priest of the cult.

Books of 2023: SISTER, MAIDEN, MONSTER by Lucy A. Snyder. My local bookstore sent me this ARC with a Post-It that just said “TREAT!” on it, which was hugely sweet of them (especially considering that this is, like. disgustingly My Vibe--I have been Seen and Known by the folks at the bookstore, apparently).

It also slots nicely into the lineup of Vaguely Driscoll Vibes, I suspect. Very excited to see if my suspicion is accurate! Featuring coffee and the puddle of the blanket I’m still working on for Mom (last! two!! rows!!!).

The last in my Haunt Hunters series!! Relic is the man most often on camera (not that he seems to want to be). He's the one leaping headlong into danger, confronting the ghosts and ghouls, tempting the things lurking in the dark to lash out at him for their own fifteen minutes of fame. Ever since their Kentucky Cave documentary when he joined the team, Relic Reed has been the one pushing boundaries maybe best left alone.

But hey, it gets results, right?

Here's he, in his various sizes... the in-between form in my AU is called the "switch" (because an monster engine in this form can go both ways, as engine and as monster), and yep... he, like SpookyHenry, is demonic...

(I kinda noticed that his size and weight in human form is a bit obscured ... 7.1 ft. 550 lbs), he is pretty massive in all his forms as befits the heaviest loco in Oz.
