hay do you think Hal, like most of the other heroes have, wants a kid sidekick of his own?

good question! Iirc Hal gave Wally a copy of his ring so he could be Kid Lantern for like a day actually. He seemed to get a kick out of it, and he's also mentored his cousin Hal Jordan (yes he's also named hal) in superheroing a little bit.

So kid sidekick? maybe. I think he does better as an uncle figure since that's what he's used to. I don't think he'd want a sidekick for realsies, I think they'd have to get dropped in his care like Helen did in Spectre (2001) (<- daily reminder to read spectre).

As for a kid lantern sidekick? absolutely not. Hal has a very complex relationship with the Corps and I don't think he could ever condone a child being a part of the corps (especially with how the Guardians repeatedly fucked him over).

Herre me out, before I pass out fr the night.

Hal Jordan has died before. He has died and became the Spectre or rather a version of it, aka the mother flipping Ghost of Vengeance/wrath. He was fucking dead and a full on ghost for a while. A time which he doesn't really remember.

Now every King needs a loyal knight and what better Knight then then ghost of vengeance/wrath? Especially one who was such a heroic soul full of justice?

And well when Hal came back to life, he didn't really remember most of his time as Spectre. But he always felt something was missing. Turning to speak with someone who wasn't there.

King Phantom also misses his Knight...don't get him wrong Fright Knight was a great knight and loyal companion... But Spectre had been his friend and much much more.

The other's humor had helped ease the monotony of eternity and the two had grown closer during the centuries they worked together, as time in the GZ is weird like that. But he was content to simply watch over his now mortal Knight from the veil.

That is until a meddling time spirit decided to give them a needed shove in the right direction.

And now Hal keeps running into a mysterious and beautiful man, who he swears he knew some how.
