Literally dog water is better than what some of the people working on ITSV and ATSV decided to do, don't get me wrong, I like the movies, but my fucking god looking at the scripts or interviews about Miguel shows not only how little they understand the character, but how racist they and their die hard fans are. Penny Parker is another example of this.

Y'all are INSANE. I saw people saying it's okay to lighten movie Miguel's skin tone because he's hotter that way, and it's more 'comic accurate' even though you're drawing MOVIE Miguel, NOT comic Miguel. I've seen people comparing Miguel in the train scene to a gorilla. Saying he's violent to his partners and a playboy who can't control his sexual desires.

Like... Do you not fucking hear yourselves speak?? It's so fucking disgusting how people will excuse themselves with 'its just fiction!! I'm allowed to find characters attractive', which? That's not what you're doing and you fucking know it. Reducing a Latino man to a sexual deviant who's aggressive and 'looks like a gorilla' is just plain fucking racist, no ifs ands or buts about it.
