thinking abt the marvel pinups swimsuit edition that miguel is in where he’s just off to the side of the actual pinup in a tank top and shorts with a doofy grin on his face staking a big ol beach umbrella in the sand doing his own thing... genuinely unironically one of the few times rick leonardi got 2 draw him just wholeheartedly having a Good Time. somebody take miguel to the beach again he Needs It

I’m loving what they’re setting up in Across the Spiderverse!
They’re setting up a literal divide in the Spiderpeople. It’s incredibly vague on purpose(thank god) but we’ve pieced together that they’ve all come together to stop a multiversal threat.
The problem is that they’re divided on what force they have to use. It seems 2099 Spider-Man is using more force and is leading one faction that decides that they can’t take any chances, not with a villain like Spot who could destroy everything, maybe even making the choice to kill(there’s a specific shot where Miguel extends his hands/claws right before he fights kinda like how Prowler used to).
Miles it seems like, is leading or at least the start of the other faction, one that won’t kill and it’s pissing Miguel off. He’s similar to Spot in a way(yes I’m including my theory that Miles can travel though the multiverse like him bc of his spider) which is causing even more added tension and distrust.
Eventually it literally leads into a fight between them all. There’s a huge shot of two sides coming together to chase after Miles(like even PS4 Spidey so damn) and Miguel directly slamming Miles into the ground proclaiming “Who do you think you are, REALLY?”
Gwen it seems, is divided on this. Where is the line? Who is the good guy? Where should she go? And she literally proclaims “We are supposed to be the good guys” and Miguel responds “We are”
I’m already loving what we’ve seen and I cannot wait for the movie to come out!
