Librarian peppino having a nice conversation with creampuff

Huge fan of the new Lob Corp/Ruina spinoff, still don't understand why it's named "Slay the Spire" though

The Thunder Pirates are living legends.  The impregnable court at Echo Cove draws pirates from all around, just as any imperial traffic that draws near finds itself drinking the sea.  It holds the distinction of being the largest and boldest pirate lair this close to the major cities of the Brazen League, close enough to Bycocket to skirmish with their home pirates.  This, along with its continued survival despite it, has gathered a number of big names in one place. The swordsman Faster-Than-Names, one of the Colors Three, resides there.  The adventurer Rainstorm Yot and the Rainstorm pirates berth here.  The quartermistress Singing Static developed the first echolocation corps, the Batspeakers, and no where else can the technique be studied better.  But the Captain Mast-Cracking is easily the most notorious.  Rolling hell on water she is, a whirl of lightning and ashen feather, a bladesinger in the old kenku style and wielder of Shatterbeak, long split from its kin.  Ships fall to splinters before her approach, and the waters flee at her cry.  Ashore, she is a quiet creature, observing her court more often that leading it, from highest perch.

Gonna try talking about normal shit like it's a fantasy novel.
I have done some traveling on your West Coast, as well you know. I have seen the great spires and monoliths of Seattle, and studied wisdom in the libraries of Monterey.

Totally Youthful Tuesday
Tumblr media
This was a short, simple, and beautifully illustrated book. It’s about a Turtle and Tortoise who are born at the same time at (what looks like) a British Zoo? They share an enclosure, and, soon they get a row going that goes on for years and years.
But, of course since it is a children’s picture book, there is a very good ending between the two (that cracked me up). A super cute read.
