i have done my very best to seed this bracket in the traditional way (#1 goes against #32, #2 goes against #31, and so on). if you have complaints about my seeding i am sorry i am only one man in this wild world of supernatural polling. anyway the seeding will hopefully lead to better outcomes where we don't have big favorites knocked out in the first round because they're paired with another big favorite

I got so angry about the organization of the other TV show bracket that I immediately made this account 👍

This competition will be in FIVE parts- four separate brackets for four categories of TV: cult classics, "prestige" TV, sitcoms, and OTHER. Shows like OFMD and WWDITS count as sitcoms for this. Prestige is in quotes because it's not a real genre but this refers to mainly HBO/ AMC/ Showtime/ emmy-bait shows. Cult classics would include mash, twin peaks, buffy, doctor who etc.

"Other" will ultimately be drama shows that aren't "great" enough to be "prestige" but not "bad" enough or old enough to be cult classics. Supernatural and Riverdale are grandfathered into cult classic status due to extraneous circumstances. Shows like PLL and TVD will end up in the "other" category.

The winners and runners-up of these four brackets will fight to the death in the Ultimate TV Show Bracket. Prepare to be patient, I want this to be a really thorough battle for the top spot which means longer poll times to give maximum voting opportunities. I'll try my best to run the four category brackets simultaneously.

Submissions for the first four brackets will last ONE WEEK and then I will be seeding the brackets based on average viewership and average ratings with the highest facing off against the lowest in round one. Expect the first polls to open some time next week.
