Transparent moment: It’s been about four weeks since I was released from flight attendant training (a week before graduation btw 🥴) and there have been a rollercoaster of emotions surging through me every day since.

Even though I was in a completely new field & nervous every step of the way, my grades were top notch & there were no retakes necessary. Then, in a blink of an eye I was sent home with nothing. Literally.

We all take losses. Sometimes those losses come one after the other and it feels like you’ll never win again. I’m at that point right now. Most of you know about how my apartment was flooded last year, and there were several other situations that happened immediately following that that I choose/chose not to disclose. Even after I got sent home from training, more things I attempted went to hell because I guess life needed to hit me with a little more razzle dazzle. It is what it is.

I’m a human and I am honestly tired of having to be content with just the ✨ possibility✨ of things going well - I want things to actually go well. I’m tired of being the encouraging friend & always having the perfect words to motivate others’ successes when my life is feeling like it’s on the decline.

This is my current reality, today, at this very moment. And while I’m not the type of person that ever expects failure, it’s become harder for me to be certain of future successes.

This is how I feel.

The best thing about me though is that I know that my feelings aren’t necessarily what is. So while I give myself space to feel crappy and depressed and low, I always have the awareness to step out of it and choose a different feeling at any time. All it takes is a decision. That comes from years of consistent practice observing my emotions and states of consciousness.

This post was made to let you know that if you’re going through/ have ever gone through a “losing streak” you are not alone and that there are things that you can do to survive these seasons as they come and go. Hopefully we all pull through this as better people & can tell others how to do it as well.

Oh & to tell you that I’m back. 🙋🏽‍♀️
