In MDZS Lan Wangji's mother complains that he never indicates/says what he wants.

Because all Lan Wangji wanted was to be close to her. She kept trying to find ways to cheer him up but him acting out and pouting and huffing was his way of expressing himself, of showing part of himself he couldn't entrust to anyone else. He was never allowed to be immature or unreasonable or crabby or hard to please because of the nature of the expectations that were placed on him. He was being bratty because he loved her, because there was nowhere else he would rather be and there was no one else who accepted him as he was. To him, that ability to be himself was everything--trinkets and baubles and empty platitudes meant nothing, and so he never wanted them.

She is the narrative parallel to Wei Wuxian in Lan Wangji's life.

Seeing people frustrated and sad and even angry about the recent MHA chapter (regarding Shiggy) makes me SO HAPPY about one of my plot points in STIL, because it directly addresses the thing that people are understandably frustrated about with Shiggy.

#tbf I actually thought the reveal was fantastic #but I think that's because I always had a hunch that AFO fabricated it all #Like yeah of course he gave Shiggy Decay as his quirk #I had that hunch since it was revealed that he could give and take away quirks #and when it was revealed he'd been present in Shiggy's past #Which is why I am 1000% CONVINCED that he caused Dabi to spontaneously combust on Sekoto Peak #Because Touya had NOTHING but ABSOLUTE control of his quirk #It didn't and doesn't make sense to me that Touya just suddenly cried too hard and lost control of his quirk #and we also know that AFO can forcefully activate quirks #So IMO the Shiggy thing was actually fantastic #Because yeah who is Shiggy now?#Who is he and what are his goals when everything was supposed planned from the start?#I do think AFO is lying partially though #Because there was little meddling he could have done while he was trapped in Tartarus #And I don't think Shiggy's care toward the League was fabricated #Because he SPECIFICALLY sought out IZUKU'S advice on that #ANYWAY I'M RAMBLING IN MY TAGS I'M SO SORRY #air's antics

Cannot stress ear plugs for pride events more !!! Originally I avoided all pride events myself for the reasons I'm about to state, but I went to Houston pride a few years ago to march in it with my mom and some of the people she was contracted with at her job at the time, and while I don't have misophonia, I do have issues with overly loud and crowded areas due to other things . By the end of the night when the adrenaline died down, I was damn near in the grave . Took me a couple weeks to recover, but I know if I'd have had ear plugs, it'd have been a WAY different story 😭

Oh man I really appreciate you trying to help, but already I do not go in public without both ear plugs and noise canceling headphones on my person. Normally I only ever need one or the other at a time but in this case even wearing both simultaneously didn't even begin to help. Genuinely don't think there's anything I could have done short of being actually deaf

Sometimes I think about how I met my fiancées boss this summer. See, I had found out my dad had cancer thirty minutes before that interaction and I was, obviously, in the middle of crying my eyes out. But I still had to pick my fiancée up from work. So I walk in the door clearly two steps away from sobbing. And this nice English lady sees me and says 'you alright?' and obviously the answer was absolutely not holy shit. But I remember that brits tend to use 'you alright' the same way Americans use 'how are you' so I say, 'great, thanks! Nice to meet you!' still crying by the way. And she smiles and shakes my hand and the conversation ends and I literally never spoke to that woman again. Best case scenario I'm so serious. To this day I'm so grateful that woman saw me having one of the worst days of my life and was like. Not my business! Nice to meet you! God bless.

goddd i’d rather burst into flames than go to work today...

#my company has this bullshit thing where corporate wants to make absolutely certain no one gets overtime for awhile after the holidays #so that means that if someone calls off sick no one can be called in to replace them #and. as is the case right now. if an employee quits on the spot. no one can fill in their shifts.#shifts which are scheduled two weeks in advance.#so for the next two weeks corporate's forcing us to pick up the slack without actually letting us call for any help #which. resulted in me being the only cashier yesterday while the store was crowded with ppl panic-buying bc it was going to snow #and which is the reason why i'm stuck working the maximum amount of hours they're allowed to ask me to work for the next two weeks AT LEAST #i'm just. ugh. i want to explode. i want to spontaneously combust.
