Spotify has fucked my release radar went from 6+ hours every week to a cap of 30 songs which is about an hour and a half. It's not just me either, this was the best part of spotify. Fuck you Spotify.

At first it was record companies. Now it's streaming services.

This is another reason I'm glad I left Spotify along with Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and others over Joe Rogan 2 years ago.

So my Spotify premium expired right now (it was supposed to be expired in 2 days)

And what the fuck is this nonsense

Firstly, you can’t have your songs on loop (or even one song as it allows 20 FUCKING SECONDS) and won’t even give you the song you want to hear (second image) this is a load of bullshit

After not using it for over a year, I was just reminded why I absolutely HATE Spotify!

A band I like just released a new song online. Unfortunately, the only music streaming platform it is currently available on, is Spotify.

I decided I would take a chance, log back in to my old account, and listen to the song. The service could not have gotten any worse after all this time, right?

Oh. How wrong I was.

Just to listen to one solitary three and a half minute long song, I first had sit through 2 minutes of ads!

To make it worse, once the song finally starts playing, just 10 seconds into it, the sound cuts out. No matter how many times I try to restart it, the sound stops anywhere between 9 and 12 seconds in. The timer in the audio player keeps counting away as if everything is just fine, but there is no sound after the first few chords are heard.

If any service really wants me to upgrade from a free to a paid subscription, this is the completely wrong way to do it. I will now go back to avoiding spotify for at least another year, if not longer.

This is weird but my Spotify is acting up.

My release radar just gives me this message but then if I go into my Spotify on my Roku and click on the playlist there are no songs listed but I can unfollow/refollow the playlist. After interacting with it I can close my phone app and when I open it back up I can see songs on the playlist but it won’t play them.

It’s really strange. Searching for the songs it allows me to play them but it won’t let me play them from the playlist.

Spotify is so fucking corrupt because you spend weeks off of it and your queue looks like absolute dog shit since you're not constantly using it anymore
