the amount of times i have needed a refresh and immediately have gone back to this song. i think it’s just the nostalgia factor, but this was my first itzy era i was apart of. but i promise you, this song has never disappointed me (maybe besides the line distribution). this song is just so fun, the dance is a good workout and it’s fun to try, and let’s talk about how lia and chaeryeong shined so radiantly! oh my good god! there’s a reason this album stands above the rest of the itzy era’s.

♯❱ WHY NOT? - LOONA

to be honest, this song wasn’t my favorite for the first week, i thought it was bad, but then i made myself listen to all of it all the way through, and oh my god, this song became my anthem for the rest of 2020 and most of 2021! if i’m in a shit mood, it’s a matter of seconds before this song is playing. this was the era that made loona my number two spotify artist of all time, it’s also my number one song on spotify of all time. this song was really my transition into full fledged orbit. this song still doesn’t have an off day, i will always listen to this song, no matter my mood.

♯❱ BLUE HOUR - TXT

bruh, this song. i don’t even know what it was, but i had some odd decision to listen to this before i cant stop me (because they were released on the same day) and i’m so glad i did. this song is so fucking good! the verses, the rap, the chorus, the prechorus, the dance, the visuals, THE ICONIC ZOOMBA DANCE BREAK!!! i was so excited about this era, it was on a total repeat and i’m so grateful that loona released a week later because they would not have lasted against this (that’s not true but anyways). this song was also the catalyst for me becoming a txt fan.

this song is still my preferred red velvet bside and it will forever be! the disco and cute little marimba in the background is just so! this is also my favorite red velvet era but still, the stages the vocals the everything of this song is so fucking perfect it’s almost criminal. also, yeri shined and that’s perfect. this song makes me want to go rollerskating at sunset on the pier….which probably isn’t safe but still!

♯❱ SECRET STORY OF THE SWAN - IZ*ONE

this song had me completely isolating myself from fucking society as we know it. when i found this song, nothing was the same. i was a different person (good or bad is not important) and it just felt so free. this song did annoying all my friends and family though because like, i only played this for like, two months straight but regardless! got people stream SSOTS and that’s on like swan swan swan.

♯❱ TAKE ME HOME - ATEEZ

to be honest, i don’t think ateez can ever make a song that ages horrible, and this whole album was a fucking god send, but good fucking lord, this song. i cried to it, i laughed to it, i ate to it, i did everything with this song and it’s so good that i still do all of this with take me home. i love the 80s sound, giving me very much blinding lights but hotter and sexier! i just love his song, it holds a spot in my heart and it will never go away!

this list really shows you how i am a girl group heavy stan, but regardless, THIS SONG! the chorus is so fucking catchy and good, and this was literally a debut! A DEBUT! this could be like, a second official comeback and i would still love this! but the chorus, bridge, and the little “na na na na na na” part! chefs kiss for infinity! this song is so hot. also, monday’s rap should go down in kpop history as the nest thing to happen since sliced bread!

okay, you can’t make a list like this without putting bts on it, but this song is so!!! makes me want to commit crimes and dismantle the patriarchy!! the chorus and the move!!!! ALSO, jimin’s background vocals in the back, that could literally get me pregnant, and no i’m not arguing with anyone on this because it’s true. it’s also a pun bc dionysus….and aged like fine wine….if you get it you’re hot.

sorry if you're sick of talking about it and this is annoying! but do you think it all comes down to their tight schedule? they're doing too much at once with too little time to prepare? i wasn't in the fandom around the get weird era so i don't know if they were just as busy then but the gwt in general was soooooooo good. i love the choreo for the gd tour but honestly it's just everything else i have a problem with

yeah, i think it is with their tight schedule :// but this could’ve all been planned better beforehand. they already planned to do dwt. then they announced gdt for europe/uk. then they announced the ssot, which no one really knew about and everyone thought it was just a short festival show, but it’s not. a lot of things could have been done better, so it’s really unfortunate to see how things have turned out :///

it was during pd48 that i found out she had a gaming channel, binged her videos and fell in love with her personality and how funny and endearing she is, and since then she became my fav in the show and then my fav in the group uwu

5. What is your favorite era?

SSotS my beloved... Sakura's short black hair is everything and that was when her dance glow up happened and she became part of the dance line. her hard work really paid off

my izone biases are all three joyuriz members, and each of the three has had time as the one im the most focused on, lol. 

at first it was yena, and yuri was second, and chaewon was third. i loved the yenyul friendship so much lol, it’s one of the things that got me into izone the most (beyond just their music, of course). between violeta (which was when i discovered them, and pretty soon after i got into kpop in the first place) and fiesta, that was how it was i think. i had yenyul on top, with chaewon mostly just included in order to complete the joyuriz trio haha. she was definitely third for me back then. 

then it was chaewon, surprisingly haha. during all of 2020. fiesta, ssots, and panorama were just flawless chaewon eras haha, she was everything. it also helped that i really started to watch a lot more from izone during this time, especially around panorama, and my main bias became chaewon very naturally, i do think she fits the type of person i bias the most, haha. yena and yuri were still there of course, but i think at this point it was yuri who was third, and ssamyen were my main two, with chaewon on top of course.

and honestly? i kinda feel like i’m in yuri mode right now. idk why. yena just debuted solo, and even though chaewon has been absent for a long time, she’s still overall my bias. but like... recently i’ve just been vibing with yuri soooo much. im learning a lot more about her personality and finding that actually i think she’s the most like me, haha. chaewon is the most like the kind of people who i admire, but yuri is the most like me, if that makes sense. yena isnt very much like me at all haha, but i love her, and how could anyone not? anyway, idk, im watching a lot more yuri-centric stuff and just paying more attention to yuri in izone stuff now and i just... aaaa i love her. i feel like i understand her now, lol. and maybe i didnt before, idk. i dont think i have a third place among them right now, either. you’d think it would be chaewon, because she’s been absent and therefore just not catching my attention, but like, idk, i feel pretty confident that chaewon’s my overall bias. i’m focused the most on yuri right now though.

does any of this post make sense lmao? im just thinking about all this and i had the urge to post it, idk why. why am i like this haha, why cant i like things in a normal way
