Watching you, stalking you for months gathering as much information as I can about you. Learning what all of your favorite things are. Then slowly over time I start leaving things at your doorstep, first it starts small, your favorite drink or your favorite snack waiting for you when you come home. Then I start sending you your favorite flowers, leaving little notes with them “you looked so pretty today.” Telling you that you deserve the world, giving you innocent little compliments. I start leaving notes on your car out in public, telling you how pretty your outfit looks today, complimenting very specific parts of it, giving immense details on why you look so pretty in your outfit. As time goes on the notes start becoming more and more obsessive, saying that I love you, that I need you. Telling you that I need to touch you, I’m getting tired of just watching you. The notes become more depraved, more desperate to touch you and feel you. Until I can’t take it anymore and break into your house one night while you’re sleeping just to touch and feel you. Just to grope and use your holes while you lay there innocently sleeping, making sure i never wake you so you never even know what happened to you.

pred who is obvious about stalking their prey
they will select someone who they are considering whether to eat, and will follow them around for a few days.
the pred won't try hard to keep themselves hidden. they're allowed to eat prey, and the way they go about it doesn't matter. they know that even if the prey catches on, it won't be able to escape.
or maybe the pred thinks they are being sneaky, but they're so bad at it, that they might as well not even bother.
the prey's reaction could be a lot of things:
fear, obviously. they know a predator is pursuing them, although slowly, leisurely, even. And that's scary, the impending doom, their inescapable fate biting at their heels. they grow paranoid - out of the corner of their eye, around every corner. they see it. the figure that follows and stares. growing ever more hungry
acceptance. the prey might come to accept their fate. they know they are a prey, and eventually a prey will be eaten (or maybe die of old age, but most aren't that lucky). now there's a predator after them. they know what happens next, and maybe they don't particularly care. just get it over with.
Annoyance. the prey sees the predator, and is wondering what's taking so long. they see the pred try and fail to hide. the prey is embarrassed to think that they might be eaten by someone so incapable. Maybe they should try harder to escape - they probably could, it probably wouldn't be that hard. After all the prey should be caught by a pred that actually deserves it, who actually works for it's meals, or who at least cares about doing things properly.
obliviousness. the pred is bad at hiding, but the prey is even worse at noticing. They live carefree in their own world and they won't know what's happened until it's too late for them.

Being stalked through the woods by something that likes to play with its prey, feeding as much on your fear as it will on your corpse. It finds your terror so so funny, your pants and whines so adorable and you know you’re nothing more than a toy for it. You’re in its territory and it knows that means it can do anything it wants to you. Bonus points if it’s not alone, if it’s working with something else that’s just as bored or just as hungry. The hunt is nothing but a game to them and you’re the most fun thing that’s ever stumbled into their woods
