Starry Night

Since today was close enough to a new moon, I decided to try some star photography. This is the J. H. Rogers Observatory in Traverse City, Michigan. I will need to spend time learning out to bring out the stars in post—but for now it’s off to bed.

Here's another shot of Venus and Jupiter. I took this one between the walnut tree branches from home yesterday evening. I was too tired to leave home so I had to get a little creative. If you zoom in, you can see Jupiter's moons! The pair will still look close tonight... in the west after sunset. I'll have to reshare this image on Halloween. Some how it came out looking quite spooky🫣. Totally opposite vibe compared to my last image. Canon R6 iso 1600, 1/2 sec. Hmmm. Visited a new section of the Organs Mountains, today. Took this 3 by 1 pano on a whim. For sure didn’t put any real effort into it…Got home and realized this is actually a really cool shot!
