Alcazar - Physical 2004
"Physical" was released in late 2004 by the Swedish nu-disco group Alcazar as part of the promotion of the Dancefloor Deluxe compilation. The song was based on a sample of Londonbeat's 1990 hit "I've Been Thinking About You". The song failed to chart Official Singles Chart in Sweden, but managed a #3 placing in Finland. The video was filmed in and around London's Soho area when the band were in the UK performing at G-A-Y Astoria.
Alcazar is one of Sweden's most successful music groups both nationally and internationally with a string of hits since their debut single in 1999. They had success globally in 2000 with their song "Crying at the Discoteque", having charted in USA, Brazil, Australia, Japan and most countries in Europe. Alcazar disbanded in August 2011 after a concert at Stockholm Pride. They reunited again in 2013 before disbanding again in 2018. They have since only reunited occasionally.
"Physical" received a total of 44,9% yes votes.

Hur va Sthlm Pride?
Högljutt. Varmt. Färgglatt. Underbart.
Seriöst, my depression got cured while jag gick i paraden.
Första året jag gått utan att vara helt täckt av glitter efteråt though. Och det var inte lika trångt som det varit annars heller. Men kanske bara hade o göra med att jag gick i en lugnare del av paraden det här året eller ngt.

The Pride Month We Know & Love
In 1969, the Stonewall Riots occurred. This is considered the beginning of the modern queer rights movement. At the time, it was called the gay rights movement and the word gay, while meaning homosexual, also was an umbrella term that included all of what we now call the queer community.
————————————————————
On November 2, 1969, a group of people proposed the first gay parade be held in New York City, both to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall riots and to be an annual reminder that we are in a struggle for fundamental human rights. They called on homophile organizations throughout the country to hold demonstrations the same day to show nationwide support.
On June 28, 1970, the Christopher Street Liberation Day marked the first anniversary of the Stonewall riots with a march. Christopher Street is the road in front of the Stonewall Inn and the road participants marched down. The New York Times reported (on the front page) that the marchers took up the entire street for 15 city blocks. Marches were also held in Chicago & Los Angeles while San Francisco held a “gay-in.”
Tumblr media
In 1971, marches took place in Boston, Dallas, Milwaukee, London, Paris, West Berlin, and Stockholm.
By 1972 the participating cities included Atlanta, Brighton, Buffalo, Detroit, Washington D.C., Miami, and Philadelphia, as well as San Francisco.
————————————————————
The first marches were both serious and fun and served to inspire the widening activist movement. There was a dramatic increase in the number of people organizing for queer rights. In 1969, there were 50 to 60 gay groups in the country. In 1970 that increased to at least 1500. In 1972 it was 2500.
Prior to 1969, the organizations called themselves the homophile movement. They focused on showing that gay people are respectable and politely asked for discriminatory policies to be removed. Their marches had dress requirements, age limits as to who could participate, and even the signs held had to be pre-approved.
The Stonewall riots with images of gays retaliating against police changed things and inspired new activists. They considered the movement an uprising and renamed it the gay liberation movement. We are gonna be who we are and live as we want, respectability be damned. Parades and festivals were to specifically to not have dress requirements or age limits.
————————————————————
In Nazi Germany, gay men were prisoners in the concentration camps and their clothes had inverted pink triangles sewn on them to mark them as homosexual men (this also included bisexual men and trans women). This pink triangle was extra large so they could be easily identified from a distance.
After the concentration camps were shut down at the end of World War II and prisoners freed, the gay survivors were not released but locked up in prison. Homosexuality was illegal in Germany. West Germany continued to imprison them until 1994!
Tumblr media
In 1973, Homosexuelle Aktion Westberlin, a German gay liberation group, called for gay men to wear the pink triangle as a memorial to past victims and to protest continuing discrimination. This pink triangle became a symbol of the gay rights movement and many displayed it proudly, but the symbol couldn’t shake its association with the horrors of the Nazis.
Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., urged artist Gilbert Baker, an openly gay man and a drag queen, to create a new inspiring symbol for the gay community to replace the Nazi symbol.
It’s thought that Baker was at least partially inspired by the Judy Garland song "Over the Rainbow" (Garland being among the first gay icons). He also liked the idea of a flag, as that is a way of being visible. The rainbow flag was unveiled at the 1978 San Francisco Gay Freedom Day parade. After the parade, hot pink was removed from new flags due to fabric unavailability. The murder of Harvey Milk in November 1978 led to a surge of requests for the Rainbow flag, which led to it being adopted by people around the country.
Tumblr media
For the 1979 San Francisco Gay Freedom Day parade, the organizers reduced the number of colors from 7 to 6 so that they could divide it in half and have 3 colors decorating one side of the street, and the other three colors on the other side. This 6-colored rainbow flag became the standard and quickly replaced pink triangles.
Tumblr media
In 2003, a mile-long version of the rainbow flag was made by Baker for the 35th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, this recognized the rainbow flag as THE international symbol for LGBTQ pride, it can be seen all around the world.
On June 26, 2015, the White House was illuminated in the rainbow flag colors to mark the legalization of same-sex marriages across the country.
Tumblr media
In June 2017, the city of Philadelphia adopted a revised version of the flag that adds black and brown stripes to the top of the standard six-colors to draw attention to issues of people of color within the LGBTQ community.
Tumblr media
In June 2018 designer Daniel Quasar released a redesign incorporating elements from both the Philadelphia flag and trans pride flag to bring focus on inclusion and progress within the community.
Tumblr media
————————————————————
But when did it go from Gay Liberation to Pride?
Meetings to organize the first march in New York City began in early January 1970. Brenda Howard, a bisexual activist, is known as the "Mother of Pride" for her work in coordinating the march. She also originated the idea for a week-long series of events around the march.
She wanted to create a number of events to bring in people from out of town and wanted to unite the events under a label. The first idea was 'Gay Power,’ however gay activist L. Craig Schoonmaker didn’t like that suggestion. He explained, “There's very little chance for [gay] people in the world to have power...But anyone can have pride in themselves, and that would make them happier as people, and produce the movement likely to produce change."
Brenda Howard, L. Craig Schoonmaker and bisexual activist Robert A. Martin (aka Donny the Punk) are credited with popularizing the word "Pride" to describe the festivities in New York.
As the 1980s approached, there was a cultural shift in the gay movement. Just as the elections of Ronald Reagan & Margaret Thatcher indicated a conservative shift in their countries, activists of a less radical, more conservative nature began taking over the march committees in different cities. They dropped "Gay Liberation" and "Gay Freedom" from the names, replacing them with Schoomaker’s idea of "Gay Pride." This also coincided with the replacement of the more radical pink triangles for the more positive rainbow flags.
The word "pride" was embraced as it defies the bigotry and hatred against the LGBTQIA+ community. It also teaches people they should be proud of themselves rather than feel shame. Replacing shame with pride helps people to come out and to be more assertive about who they are and that they deserve the same rights as others.
In 1999, President Bill Clinton issued a proclamation declaring that the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies would "celebrate the anniversary of Stonewall every June in America as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month." President Barack Obama issued a proclamation in 2009 declaring June LGBTQIA+ Pride Month.
This is how we got Pride Month!
————————————————————
Part of the original ideas of parades was to bring queer people and queer culture into what was considered heteronormative spaces. Queer lives were seen as dissident and radical.
Today Pride events have taken on a festive character and it’s fun to join hundreds or thousands of other queer people.
Pride events still have some of the original political or activist character. Most offer some aspect dedicated to remembering victims of AIDS and anti-LGBT violence. Booths are often on hand with people collecting signatures in support of constitutional amendments or petitions for laws & policies to change.
Large parades often involve floats, dancers, drag queens and amplified music, and they usually include political and educational contingents, such as local politicians, and groups from LGBT institutions of various kinds, such as PFLAG. Other typical parade participants include local LGBT-friendly churches and LGBT-employee associations from large corporations.
The Stonewall riots, as well as the immediate and the ongoing political organizing that occurred following them, were fully participated in by lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people, and gays, from all races and backgrounds. Pride festivals and parades continue to be inclusive spaces.
Historically these events were first named Gay, the word at that time being used to cover the entire spectrum of what is now called the queer. Today these festivals & parades are often called Pride.

I was asked to make a Chris Kreider/Mika Zibanejad primer
Naturally I jumped at the opportunity. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Chris Kreider
Tumblr media
This motherfucker
Graduated college because his mother asked him to do that before going pro
Loves his mother
Has a communications degree, sharp as a tack even if he does sometimes have regrettable facial hair
“Sharp as a tack” except for that one time he ignored his body trying to tell him something was wrong and nearly died
Plays piano, guitar, and saxophone
Has a beautiful baritone singing voice
Has been known to serenade his teammates during practices
Avid reader, takes his Kindle everywhere
Tends to run over goalies (bad Chris, NO)
Teaches his teammates new words for fun
Speaks at least three languages—English, Russian, and Spanish. He’s rusty in Russian but he speaks it to the baby Russians on the team to make them more comfortable. Him speaking Russian
He really loves dogs. Like really loves dogs. I mean really.
I could go on, honestly
Mika Zibanejad
Tumblr media
This motherfucker
French-braids his hair for special occasions (see above gif)
Born in Sweden, but is actually half-Finnish, half Iranian. He speaks Swedish, Finnish, Farsi, and English.
Drafted sixth overall by the Senators in 2011, traded to New York in 2016. Had literally just bought and started building a house just before he was traded.
Is left handed, wanted to learn guitar at school but they didn’t have any left handed ones so he took drums, wasn’t impressed.
DJs in his spare time. Is actually really good at it?? Has played for multiple Rangers’ charity events, as well as friends’ weddings. Did the player intro song for the team’s 2018-2019 season. Makes some incredibly catchy music. My favorite
Owns a restaurant in Stockholm with his brother and several friends—announced last year a portion of proceeds are going to women’s hockey
Volunteers with kids in Sweden to help grow the sport and encourage interest
Oh yeah he’s also really good at hockey?
Nbd he just scored five goals in a single game one time and here’s a video of all five
His father had come to visit and told him as they were leaving Mika’s place for the arena, “you know, I’ve never seen you score a hat trick”. So Mika casually went out and got five goals instead because that’s just the kind of overachieving bastard he is
Wraps his stick for Pride Night (so does Chris), and actually scored those goals on Pride Night, so he said GAY RIGHTS and I think that’s very sexy of him
Adores his niece Nikki and brand new nephew Knox, him and Nikki
His hair should be illegal
Takes the rookies under his wing, mentors them, and often lets them live with him until they find places of their own.
Will almost certainly wear the C sooner rather than later
And now for my favorite part
Chris and Mika’s relationship
Tumblr media
Chris was Mika’s first liney when he arrived in New York
They bonded immediately
Chris has visited Mika in Sweden over the summers not once but at least twice that we know of
The first visit - this picture tragically cut off the caption Mika put on it, which was “reunited with bae 😍”
They did an interview game on how well they know each other. When they were asked who Mika would take on vacation with him, they both instantly answered “20” and Chris muttered, “You’d better take me.”
(Also, Chris made a fantastically dorky reference to Robots [a movie like three people saw] at the beginning of that video, so that made me love him even more)
Here’s the video, watch it at your peril
The second time Chris visited him in Sweden
Chris represented America at Worlds last year. Mika didn’t represent Sweden, but he went to see Chris play. (Don’t have a source on this)
They’re addicted to hugging each other
No really
Like actually addicted
You think I’m joking?
Mika’s flirting is… not subtle
Oh did you think we were done with hugging clips?
That’s cute
Chris literally held Mika’s hand on the bench
MORE HUGGING, MOTHERFUCKERS
Mika has a Chris-specific smile, I’m not joking
Chris: *says anything* Mika: *gazes at him adoringly*
Mika is not shy about being tactile, and Chris clearly loves it
This one just makes me laugh because Chris is being so intense and Mika’s having none of it
In conclusion, please join me in appreciating not only the bond these two idiots share but also their individual personalities, because they’re both pretty damn great

“There Was Blood All Over”: Muslim Persecution of Christians, January 2021
Tumblr media
by Raymond Ibrahim
The following are among the abuses inflicted on Christians by Muslims throughout the month of January, 2021:
Attacks on Churches
USA: Arsonists torched an Armenian church in San Francisco in a spike of anti-Armenian hate crimes believed to have been inspired by Armenia’s recent clash with its Muslim neighbors, Azerbaijan and its Turkish supporter.  According to the Jan. 6 report,
In the San Francisco Bay Area alone, there have been four hate crimes committed against the Armenian community over the last six months including a local Armenian School being vandalized with hateful and racist graffiti, which was followed by an arson attack on St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church. There are about 2,500 Armenian-Americans living in the San Francisco Bay Area, so these crimes per capita is a very high number given how small the community is. For a region of the country that prides itself on its progressivism, diversity and acceptance of all cultures, these latest attacks should be a warning sign that hate and violence can rear their ugly heads irrespective of where you may live….  The vandals at the Armenian School in San Francisco spray-painted the colors of the Azerbaijan flag and used threatening language in Azerbaijani. In many ways, these latest hate crimes, coupled with the resurgence of hostilities in the South Caucasus, are a continuation of the Armenian Genocide that is now finding its way to the San Francisco Bay Area.  It is often said that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. We are clearly seeing these prophetic words come to life for Armenians in the San Francisco Bay Area who have fought for decades for recognition of the Armenian Genocide. As victims of oppression, Armenians see these latest attacks as an extension of Turkey and Azerbaijan’s denial of the 1915 Armenian Genocide and a threat to their very existence.
Sweden: Twice over the course of four days, an 800-year-old church in Stockholm was firebombed.  First, on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, several Molotov cocktails were hurled at the twelfth century Spånga church, which is located in a Muslim majority area.  According to the church’s pastor, “the alarm was triggered when a window was smashed and flammable liquid thrown at the front gate and one of the windows. However, the fire was quickly put out by the police, who used a powder extinguisher.”  The same church had been fire-bombed just four days earlier, on Jan. 20, 2021: two explosives were hurled at and smashed through the church windows, and another was lobbed at the church gate.  Moreover, according to one report,
Spånga parish has been subjected to attacks on several previous occasions. In December 2018, an explosive device was detonated in the same parish. No one was convicted for the blast.
Hailing from the 12th century, the Spånga Church is one of the oldest in the Swedish capital. It is located on the outskirts of Tensta and is flanked by Rinkeby, both notorious for their heavy presence of immigrants (about 90 percent of the population)… Both areas are dominated by immigrants from Muslim countries and are formally classified as “particularly vulnerable” (which many consider to be a palatable euphemism for a “no-go zone”) due to failed integration and major problems including unemployment, rampant crime and Islamic extremism.
Attacks against churches have become a familiar sight in Sweden. Last year alone, a number of churches, mostly those in troubled suburban [i.e., heavily Muslim migrant] areas, were subjected to various types of attacks and vandalism, including those in Gottsunda, Uppsala and Rosengård, Malmö.
Philippines:   An Islamic group consisting primarily of teenage Muslims opened fire on a church.  According to the Jan. 8 report,
the Islamic State-linked Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters [BIFF], a terrorist group based in the southern Philippines, attacked a parish church after conducting a raid on the town’s military and police outposts. After a 15-minute firefight, both the church building and a statue of the patron saint bore bullet holes.  Police and military authorities said the BIFF had also plotted to set ablaze Sta. Teresita parish church and the church-run Notre Dame of Dulawan high school in the area. However, their attempt to burn the two church facilities was foiled by policemen and soldiers.
BIFF is an Islamic separatist organization operating in the Philippines; it swore allegiance to the Islamic State in 2014.  Right before the church attack, dozens of gunmen from the Islamic group attacked the local police station and burned a police vehicle parked outside.  The police attack came after two men connected with the group were arrested and is seen as a reprisal attack against police.  Muslim terrorism has been on the rise in the Philippines, the population of which is 86% Christian.   According to the report,
In August [2020], pro-ISIS terrorists blew themselves up in attacks that killed at least 15 people … and injured 80 others in the city of Jolo … in the far south of the country, whose population is majority Roman Catholic.
In 2019, terrorists set off two explosive devices at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, also known as the Jolo Cathedral, in the Mindanao region. The attack resulted in approximately 100 injuries and about 20 dead.
In August 2019, pastor Ernesto Javier Estrella of the United Church of Christ in Antipas, Cotabato Province, was shot and killed on the Island of Mindanao.
In June 2018, Catholic priest Richmond Nilo was gunned down in a chapel in Zaragoza town in Nueva Ecija province, at the altar where he was preparing to celebrate mass.
Slaughter of Christians
Pakistan:  The bloated bodies of two Christian sisters, who had long rebuffed the advances of their Muslim employers, were found in a sewer in January 2021. Earlier, on November 26, the sisters, Sajida (28) and Abida (26), who were both married and had children, were reported as missing. The two Muslim men for whom they worked had regularly pressured them to convert to Islam and marry them. Even though the young women “made it clear that they were Christian and married, the men threatened them and kept harassing the sisters.”  Forty days after they were reported missing, on January 4, 2021, their decomposed bodies were discovered. Their Muslim supervisors, during their interrogation, “confessed that they had abducted the sisters,” said Sadija’s husband; “and after keeping them hostage for a few days for satisfying their lust, had slit their throats and thrown their bodies into the drain.” The widower described the families’ ordeal:
When police informed us that they had identified the two bodies as those of our loved ones, it seemed that our entire world had come crumbling down…. I still cannot fathom the site [sic] of seeing my wife’s decomposed body.
Discussing this case, Nasir Saeed, Director of the Centre for Legal Aid Assistance and Settlement in the UK, said,
The killing of Abida and Sajida in such a merciless way is not an isolated case, but the killing, rape and forced conversion of Christian girls have become an everyday matter and the government has denied this and therefore is doing nothing to stop the ongoing persecution of Christians. Unfortunately, such cases happen very often in the country, and nobody pays any attention – even the national media – as Christians are considered inferior and their lives worthless.
Nigeria:  On Jan. 16, Muslim Fulani herdsmen opened fire on and killed Dr. Amos Arijesuyo, pastor of Christ Apostolic Church and a highly respected professor at the Federal University of Technology.  “The university condemns in the strongest terms this senseless attack that has led to the untimely death of an erudite university administrator and counselor par excellence,” the university said in a statement. “Dr. Arijesuyo’s death is a big loss to FUTA, the academic community in Nigeria and beyond. It is a death that should not have happened in the first place…. Our prayers and thoughts are with the wife, children and family members of our departed colleague at this difficult period of unquantifiable grief.”
In the two weeks before this murder, Muslim Fulani herdsmen killed 26 more people and wounded three in Christian majority regions.  A separate report appearing in mid-January revealed that “More Christians are murdered for their faith in Nigeria than in any other country.”
Finally, in a speech released in January, Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the Islamic terror group Boko Haram, made clear that, despite Western claims that his organization is motivated by secular interests, religion colors everything. According to the Jan. 28 report, Shekau called on the new Chief of Defense Staff, Lt. General Lucky Irabor, a Christian, to “repent and convert to Islam.”  He also told the new Chief of Army staff, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, that, by going against Boko Haram, his behavior is “un-Islamic” and “he is no longer regarded as a Muslim.”
Attacks on Apostates and Evangelists
Uganda: A Muslim man beat his 13-week-pregnant wife, causing her to miscarriage, after he learned that she had converted to Christianity.  On Jan. 13, Mansitula Buliro, the 45-year-old woman in question and mother of seven, was preparing for Muslim evening prayers with her husband when she began to have Christian visions.  On the following day she secretly visited a Christian neighbor, prayed with her, and put her faith in Christ. Right before she left, a Muslim man knocked on the Christian neighbor’s door and said, “Mansitula, I thought you were a Muslim—how come I heard prayers mentioning the name of Issa [Jesus]?”  Then, when Mansitula returned home her husband informed her that he had been told that she had become Christian.  “I kept quiet,” Mansitula later explained in an interview:
My husband started slapping and kicking me indiscriminately. I then fell down. He went inside the house and came back with a knife and started cutting my mouth, saying, ‘Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar [jihadist slogan “Allah is greater”], I am punishing you to not speak about Yeshua [Jesus] in my house. This is a Muslim home.’
Her screaming caused her two youngest children (six and eight) also to start screaming, prompting neighbors to rush and stop the attack.   “There was blood all over from my mouth,” Mansitula said. “My in-laws arrived, and in their presence my husband pronounced divorce: ‘Today you are no longer my wife. I have divorced you. Leave my house, or I will kill you.’”  A neighbor took her by motorcycle to a nearby hospital.  “I was examined, and they found that my fetus had been affected, and after four days I had a miscarriage….  It is now very difficult to reunite with my family. I am now Christian, and I have decided for Issa’s cause.”
Separately, on Dec. 27, around 7 pm, eight Muslims ambushed and beat Pastor Moses Nabwana and his wife, a mother of eight, as they were walking home from a church function: “They began by beating my husband, hitting him with sticks and blunt objects on the head, the back, his belly and chest,” Naura, his wife, said. “I made a loud alarm, and one of the attackers hit me with blows and a stick that affected my chest, back and broke my hand.”  Christian neighbors rushed to their cries, prompting the assailants to flee.  Due to the severe injuries they sustained, the wife was hospitalized for five days and her husband, Pastor Moses, was hospitalized for several more days.  The assault came after area Muslims learned that an imam had converted to Christianity and joined their church; mosque leaders incited the attack.  On that same night, “area Muslims demolished the roof, windows, doors and other parts of the[ir] church building that has a capacity for 500 people, leaving a heap of broken debris… Chairs, benches, musical instruments, amplifiers and other items were destroyed.”
Then, around 4:30 am on Sunday, Jan. 24, while the pastor was still recovering at the hospital, three Muslims broke into their home, again beating his wife, Naura—who was still recovering from her first beating—as well as two of their eight children.  “I heard loud noises and plates being broken,” Naura recalled. “The children and I woke up.  The attackers had broken the door and entered in. One started strangling me, while another threw one of my daughters outside through the window and broke the skin on her leg.”   The Muslims fled before inflicting more damage once they learned that her brother-in-law and his family were rushing over: “The assailants left behind a Somali sword,” she said, “which I think they possibly had planned to use to rape and then kill me.”  Naura’s 10 year-old daughter suffered a deep cut on her knee, and her 12-year-old daughter suffered an eye injury.  Atop all the injuries she suffered from her first beating, Naura’s neck was injured: “I am still in great pain, and the doctor has recommended that my uterus, which is seriously damaged, needs to be removed,” she said. “This will need a big amount of money.”  According to a church leader who visited Naura and her family in their thatched-roof dwelling the day after the attack, “She is still in pain and needs basic assistance in the absence of the husband, the bread-winner.”
Iran: On Jan. 18, the Islamic Republic’s “morality police” arrested Fatemeh (Mary) Mohammadi, a 22-year-old convert to Christianity and human rights activist, on the accusation that “her trousers were too tight, her headscarf was not correctly adjusted, and [that] she should not be wearing an unbuttoned coat.” This is the third time officials arrest Mary.  She did six months of prison time, after her first arrest, for being a member of a house church—which the regime recently labeled as “enemy groups” belonging to a “Zionist” cult; she also spent a brief time in jail after participating in a peaceful protest in April 2020.   Officials have also pressured her employer, whom she always had a good relationship with, to prevent her from returning to work as a gymnastics instructor; and she was kicked out of her university on the eve of her exams.  Reflecting on her travails, Mary wrote that:
Everything is affected…  Your work, income, social status, identity, mental health, satisfaction with yourself, your life, your place in society, your independence….  And as a woman it’s even harder to remain patient and endure, in a society so opposed to women and femininity, though crying out for them both.
Attacks on Christian ‘Blasphemers’ in Pakistan
Pakistan:  On Jan. 28, hospital employees slapped and beat a Christian nurse who had worked there for nine years, after a Muslim nurse told them that she had said “only Jesus is the true Savior and that Muhammad has no relevance.”  A hospital member recorded and loaded a video of the attack on Tabeeta Nazir Gill, a 42-year-old Catholic gospel singer.  It shows the woman surrounded by a throng of angry Muslims who slap her and demand she “confess your crime in writing.” “I swear to God I haven’t said anything against the prophet [Muhammad],” the Christian woman insists in the video. “They are trying to trap me in a fake charge.”   “Fortunately, someone called the police, and they promptly arrived on the scene and saved her life,” Pastor Eric Sahotra later explained. After questioning the accused, police concluded, based also on the testimony of other co-workers, that “A Muslim colleague made the false accusation due to a personal grudge,” continued the pastor:
Other hospital employees were misled into believing the allegation, so they also attacked Tabeeta….  News of the incident spread quickly through the social media, raising fears of mob violence outside the hospital and other areas.
A Muslim mob later descended on and besieged the police station; this prompted police to register a First Information Report against Gill under Section 295-C of Pakistan’s blasphemy statues—which calls for the maximum death penalty for anyone who verbally insults Islam’s prophet, Muhammad.  Last reported, the woman’s two young children were “in a state of shock since the time they saw the graphic video of their mother’s beating,” said the pastor.  No legal action was taken against the Muslim nurse who fabricated the blasphemy accusation to instigate her coreligionists.   The report adds that,
In Pakistan, false accusations of blasphemy are common and often motivated by personal vendettas or religious hatred. Accusations are highly inflammatory and have the potential to spark mob lynchings, vigilante murders and mass protests. Many of those accused of blasphemy never reach the courtroom; violence has killed 62 accused people since 1990, with few prosecutions.
Separately, hundreds of Muslims descended on the village of a 25-year-old Christian man, and threatened to behead him and torch his and adjoining homes, soon after it became known that he had shared a Facebook post critical of Muhammad.  According to the Jan. 5 report, on first learning that Muslims were angry, Raja Warris apologized, pointing out that he had only shared the post “for academic understanding between Christians and Muslims and did not mean to offend any Muslims.”  The matter seemed to be closed after that; but then, and in the words of Rev. Ayub Gujjar, vice moderator of the Raiwind Diocese of the Church of Pakistan,
[W]e were informed by our congregation members in Charar that a huge mob had gathered in the locality on the call of a cleric affiliated with the extremist religio-political outfit, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan [TLP], and were demanding the beheading of the catechist.  Fearing violence, hundreds of Christian residents fled their homes while around 400 anti-riot policemen were deployed in the area to thwart violence.
Rev. Gujjar and other Christian leaders rushed to the police station, which was quickly surrounded by Muslims who “chanted slogans against Christians,” prompting police to insist that Warris be handed over.  Police then registered a First Information Report under Section 295-A and Section 298-A of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, which call for up to 10 years imprisonment for blasphemers, and then showed it to the mob leaders, at which point they called off the siege and dispersed.  Discussing this incident, Bishop of Raiwind Diocese Azad Marshall said that “Warris is an educated youth who loves to serve God.”  Even so,
Christians especially need to be more careful in sharing content, because any faith-based post could be used to instigate violence against the community…  We need to understand that Islamic religious sentiments run high in our country, therefore it’s important to carefully analyze the content before posting it online.
General Hostility for Christians and Christianity
Pakistan: On Jan. 5, a Muslim man severely beat his Christian employee because he had taken leave to attend a Christmas Day prayer service.   Even though Ansar Masih had compensated for the missed day of work by working on the following Sunday, his manager was abusive.  “When I argued with him, he called four other staffers to teach me a lesson for going to church and arguing with him,” Masih later explained. “They abused Christians for their religious practices and said derogatory words when they came to know that I was busy praying at the church.”  The Christian man sustained several injuries during the assault and was taken to a local hospital.  According to the report, as often happens in such cases,
Police officials and the men that assaulted Masih are now putting pressure on his family to settle the matter out of court. Masih has submitted an application to police regarding the incident, but not action has been taken by officers against Masih’s assailants.
Austria: According to a Jan. 5 report, approximately 40 Muslim migrants rioted and burned down a Christmas tree in Favoriten.  On coming to extinguish the large tree, the fire brigade heard one of the migrants yelling: “A Christmas tree has no place in a Muslim district,” even as the raging mob pelted the emergency service officials with projectiles to screams of “Allahu Akbar.”

About this Series
The persecution of Christians in the Islamic world has become endemic.   Accordingly, “Muslim Persecution of Christians” was developed in 2011 to collate some—by no means all—of the instances of persecution that occur or are reported each month. It serves two purposes:
1)          To document that which the mainstream media does not: the habitual, if not chronic, persecution of Christians.
2)          To show that such persecution is not “random,” but systematic and interrelated—that it is rooted in a worldview inspired by Islamic Sharia.

SkyFire 3: Chapter 8
Live on Tour in North America: Sept/Oct 2017
Word count: 3.3k
SkyFire 3 MASTERLIST
>Instagram posts
Here's the February update, I really hope you enjoy. I have soooo much planned for the 2018 chapters and I'm so excited to be inching closer to that part of the story.
If you missed it, I've decided to only update once a month as life is very much getting in the way but I'm trying to keep going because I have a lot of future chapters half started and I want to get there even if I'm struggling to make time for writing.
In the weeks since their fight, Aurora and Harry had spent countless nights staying up late, lying in bed and talking. They knew that any tension between them would be unavoidable on tour and neither of them wanted to put the rest of the band or crew in the unenviable position of dealing with the couples’ issues. They talked about all their fears for themselves and for each other and discussed how they would make time for each other amongst the shows. Aurora made it clear to Harry that while she would always play a supportive role in his career, she didn’t want to be treated as member of the band or crew while on the road. At the end of the day she was his partner and she needed to feel that, despite whatever pressure or stress he was feeling. She didn’t believe that it was a selfish request since any other wife would be well within their right to ask for one on one time when their spouse wasn’t at work and the fact that they worked together shouldn’t change that dynamic. Harry had of course agreed that on days off between shows they would make time to spend as a couple and would try to get out and see some of the cities they were playing. A few days before they left London, Aurora had given Harry the gift that she had been working on for most of the summer, a hand painted acoustic guitar with a  star filled night sky and fox character. Harry loved the guitar and promised to use it every show of the tour.
From the moment they arrived in San Francisco for the first show of the tour, they barely had the time to take a breath. They were kept busy finalising every little aspect of the show and spent many hours rehearsing to ensure that everything would be perfect, and they couldn’t have been happier. They, along with the rest of the band, were nervous but also overwhelmingly excited for the adventure ahead of them and couldn’t wait for the fans to enjoy the show they had slaved away preparing and practicing for months.
All their nerves collectively evaporated the second the opening chords of Ever Since New York filled the Masonic Auditorium. The screams of the crowd mixed with Harry’s voice had a grin splitting across Aurora’s face as she played. They made it through the song and immediately jumped into Two Ghosts, before Harry finally spoke to the audience, welcoming them all and thanking them for being there. He promised to give them an amazing night before the band launched into Carolina and then a cover of Stockholm Syndrome before taking a small break for Harry to talk with the screaming crowd once again.
“Given that tonight’s the first night of the tour, I wanted to do something special for you all,” Harry told the San Francisco crowd, causing them to scream even louder in excitement. “This next song isn’t going to be part of the set list for the rest of the tour,” he continued. Aurora grinned wide, watching with pride at how much fun Harry was having being on stage again after so much time away. Being able to join him as part of his band brought her so much joy, although she found herself a little nervous for what was about to happen. “I’m gonna need someone else to come down here and give me a hand for it though,” Harry explained, sneaking a cheeky look over his shoulder as the crowd got impossibly louder. “Now I’m sure you already know this, but I got married 5 months ago,” Harry said, smiling brightly at the frenzied crowd. “So, it feels only fitting to have my wife join me down at the front of the stage. Please put your hands together for my wonderful, beautiful, incredible wife, Mrs Aurora Styles everybody!”
Rori’s grin grew as she stood, stepping out from behind her keyboards and picking up the skirt of her long rainbow dress to avoid tripping as she made her way down the few steps to where Harry was waiting for her. He kissed her on the cheek once she reached him before she stepped up to the microphone facing him.
“We’re going to sing one of my personal favourites,” Harry told the crowd, adjusting the strap of his guitar on his shoulder before the band struck up the opening chords of Still the One. With her in-ears, the roar of the crowd became background noise and Aurora found herself staring into Harry’s eyes as the sound of the instrumental track filled her ears. She smirked a little at the concentrated look on Harry’s face as he played the guitar she had painted for him, his lips pinched tightly, before finally relaxing into a soft smile as she began to sing. They stared at each other as Aurora made it through the first verse and Harry joined her for the chorus and by the end of the song, they were both fighting back grins. This was the kind of song they often sang together in the kitchen while doing the dishes or in the car on the drive up to Manchester, so to be sharing it with Harry’s fans was a beautiful moment for them both.
xXx
With each passing show, the band grew more and more comfortable on stage and by the time they reached New York a little over a week in, they were all having the time of their lives, although they were immensely grateful for the homecooked meal Steve provided when they arrived at the tower after flying in from Chicago the day before the show at Radio City Music Hall. Dinner with the Avengers was always a loud and boisterous affair and Aurora couldn’t keep the grin off her face throughout the entire night. It had been almost 2 years since the band had all met when Harry began working on the album in the early days of the One Direction hiatus and months since they had all stayed in the tower together for their appearance on SNL. Having spent so much time in the tower over the years, Jeff, Adam, Mitch, and Sarah were very comfortable around Rori’s parents and the rest of the team and they fit in with the crazy atmosphere so seamlessly. Long after dinner had ended,  they were all still gathered around the table, sipping on drinks, and sharing stories. Aurora was sitting closely beside Steve, her head resting on his shoulder while his arm was draped around her, both happy to be back in each other’s comforting presence. Eventually it was Jeff who broke apart the gathering, reminding Harry of the interviews he had scheduled the following morning before they were all required at the venue.
xXx
While Harry and Jeff hopped from one radio studio to the next the following day, Rori remained at the tower to spend some time with her family before they all moved on to the next stop of the tour. She was in the workshop with Tony, chatting and catching up while he worked on a schematic for an upgrade to Peter’s Spidersuit.
“How’s the baby planning going?” Rori asked as she sat on the edge of Tony’s workspace, her legs kicking back and forth below the desk.
“Slowly,” Tony muttered. “We kept hitting dead ends with adoption. Apparently two superheroes aren’t anyone’s first choice to place in charge of an infant. We’re looking into surrogacy now but it’s a whole thing. You have to find an egg donor and then a surrogate to carry the child and then once those are picked, they both have to go through months of doctors’ appointments and scans and tests and procedures.”
“Sounds awful,” Rori replied. “Sorry it’s so complicated. Doesn’t seem fair when you guys want a baby so badly and you be such great parents.”
“Thanks kiddo,” Tony said. “It’ll happen when it’s meant to. Steve is convinced that we should try to find an egg donor that shares physical features with one of us and then the other can be the sperm donor and we’ll get a baby that’s maybe a mix of the two of us.”
Aurora smiled softly at the idea of a little baby that was the perfect combination of the pair.
“I’ll have my fingers crossed for you,” she promised, kissing his cheek before he turned back to his work.
Later in the day, after having lunch with both Steve and Tony, Aurora made the 15 minute walk from the tower to Radio City to prepare for the show. She joined Harry in his dressing room, showering and styling her hair before getting into her outfit and finishing off her makeup. Harry was also putting the finishing touches on his own look as they heard the support act, Muna, reach the second half of their set.
“Ready for your hometown crowd, love?” Harry asked as he held out his hand for hers.
“Absolutely,” she replied with a grin, taking his offered hand, and letting him lead her from the dressing room.
After collecting the rest of the band along the way, they waited together backstage as Muna finished their final song and the crew quickly switched out the set up for them. They listened as the crowd began to hype themselves up and Aurora took a quick peak out to spot both of her parents, along with Peter, Bucky, Sam and Clint in the VIP section roped off near the front of the stage, over to the side closest to where Aurora’s keyboards were set up and Mitch usually stood.
Having family in the crowd made the show so much more incredible for Aurora and by the time she played the final notes of Sign of the Times, she was flying high with adrenaline coursing through her body. Following the show, after the crowd vacated the venue, the crew immediately set about packing down the staging in order to transport it over night to Boston for the next show. While the crew scurried around them, Harry and Aurora, along with the rest of the band and Rori’s family, sat around backstage drinking and just hanging out. As midnight neared, Sarah, Mitch, and Adam headed outside to the tour bus as they had after every show so far, however this time Harry and Aurora remained behind while the rest of the band travelled on to Boston with the crew. The change to the routine was due to the fact that the following day marked the two year anniversary of the Columbia shooting and while Rori couldn’t stomach attending the official memorial ceremony being held on campus, she did want to be in the city. Harry was of course completely understanding and had made arrangements for the two of them to travel down to Boston the next night and meet back up with everyone else ahead of the show the following evening.
xXx
Aurora awoke with a start early on the morning of the anniversary, sweating and panicked. Harry was wrapped around her and pressed his face further into her neck as she shook in his arms. She was curled up on her side and Harry squeezed his arms tighter around her, pressing soft kisses to her shoulder as her breathing slowly levelled back out and her pulse started to drop back to a normal rate. She rolled over onto her stomach, burying her face into the pillow beneath her and pulling Harry with her until he was lying on top of her, his weight pressing her into the mattress and grounding her in reality.
“What do you need from me?” Harry murmured.
“Just keep holding me,” Rori replied, the wetness in her voice betraying the tears she was trying to hide.
Harry rolled them back over until she was cuddled into his side with her face pressed into his chest. “I love you,” he whispered. “Whatever you need from me today, you just got to ask.”
“Just don’t want to be left alone,” she replied quietly.
“You got it,” Harry promised. “Gonna be so sick of me by the end of the day.”
“I keep seeing it Harry,” she admitted. “Every time I close my eyes, I see the library.”
“You want to be distracted or do you wanna talk about it?” he asked.
“Distracted. Definitely distracted.”
“I can do that,” he said, pressing kisses to her forehead. “Do you want sexy distractions, movie distractions, workout distractions or food distractions?”
Aurora stayed silent for a moment, thinking over the options Harry provided before finally replying. “Can I get a sexy distraction followed by food distraction?”
“Absolutely my love,” Harry answered with a cheeky grin. “How about we jump in the shower and you let me love on you for a bit and then we can go bake some brownies or those apricot flapjacks you love.”
Rori smiled softly, allowing her husband to lead her towards the bathroom and slowly stripping them both of their pajamas before stepping under the showerhead. By the time they were dried and dressed, Rori felt like jello and they returned to bed to snuggle for a while before heading for the kitchen.
Steve and Tony appeared a few hours later once the brownies were cooling on the kitchen bench next to a batch of flapjacks and Aurora was whipping up a marshmallow filling to make brownie sandwiches.
“Mmmm, smells fantastic in here,” Tony said. “What have you kids been up to?”
“We’re distract-a-baking,” Aurora announced, smearing the marshmallow over the first brownie before adding the second and holding it out to her dad. “Wanna try?” Tony gladly accepted, taking a large bite before offering the rest to Steve. They both hummed happily as they chewed. “It’s good, innit?” Rori asked with a chuckle.
“Fantastic,” Steve agreed. He was quietly relieved to see a smile on her face, having expected her to be in a far worse emotional state. He still remembered the way he had held her while she screamed the previous year when a particularly bad panic attack had hit her. Steve himself had woken in a cold sweat the previous night with his head full of the memory of carrying his blood-drenched, unconscious daughter out of the campus library.
“What do you say we plate these up and curl up for a lazy day in front of the tv?” Tony asked. Everyone agreed and they quickly settled on Finding Nemo when Steve mentioned that he hadn’t seen it, to which both Tony and Rori has gasped in horror. Rori curled up against Harry and he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her tightly against his chest as the movie played.
After the movie finished, Steve made his way into kitchen to throw together dinner and Rori decided just to put the Office on in the background while they ate. After dinner, Harry packed up their overnight bags, leaving Rori a moment to say goodbye to her fathers before Happy drove them to the airport.
“Love you kiddo,” Tony whispered in her ear as he hugged her close. “Have a safe flight and we’ll see you for Christmas.”
“Love you too Dad,” Aurora replied softly. “Also, I’m taking the flapjacks for plane snacks, but I’ll leave you a few.”
The moment the young couple left the penthouse, Steve burst into tears, allowing Tony to pull him onto the sofa and into his arms.
“I know,” Tony soothed. “It’s ok. She’s ok and everything is fine sweetheart.”
“I just keep seeing her covered in blood,” Steve gasped. “I’ll never get that image out of my head. I just want to keep her close. Keep her safe.”
“I know Steve,” Tony replied, “and she is safe. Harry wouldn’t let anyone, or anything hurt her.” Steve nodded against his husband’s chest, falling silent as they two clung to each other, both just allowing themselves to sit in the feelings that had been building all day.
xXx
After a fast paced month, and 12 shows, the band reached Arizona for the final show of the North American leg of the tour. So far, every show had been incredible with Aurora loving every minute of the experience. She had settled into the set list and was able to really enjoy the shows and take in more the of the crowds and the often incredibly amusing signs many fans brought along, reminding her of the One Direction concerts of years past. It was towards the end of the Phoenix show, a few songs before the encore, that Harry said something to the crowd that broke from the routine of the previous shows.
“Now this next song is a very special cover, Phoenix,” Harry told the crowd, which caused Aurora to frown and look around to see if anyone else on the stage was confused. As far as she knew the next song in the set list was supposed to be Meet Me in the Hallway as it had been every night of the tour so far. Unfortunately, it seemed that Adam, Mitch, and Sarah seemed to know exactly what was going on and Rori felt herself panic slightly, mentally running through the songs they’d already played, trying to work out what they were about to perform. There were a couple of covers they had rehearsed recently for upcoming radio show appearances and she tried to recall if Harry had mentioned wanting to perform any of them. She was pulled out of her moment of internal panic as Harry continued to address the crowd, and she hoped he would say something to help her solve the mystery. “Today’s quite a special day in the Styles household,” he explained. “It would have been my Mother-in-law’s 41st birthday if she was still here with us.” Aurora felt her eyes grow warm with the threat of tears and she swallowed against the lump forming at the back of her throat. “I was never lucky enough to meet Louise, but by all accounts, she was my biggest fan.” Harry turned to look over his shoulder at Aurora, winking to acknowledge their long standing inside joke. “So tonight, I’d like to sing her favourite song. If you know the lyrics, please do join in.”
Mitch and Adam started off the song, both sporting acoustic guitars and then Harry began singing.
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot
Aurora watched Sarah, her drumsticks resting at her side as she sang the backing vocals through the chorus and Rori followed her lead, slipping seamlessly into the arrangement. As Harry continued to sing, Rori thought of her mum playing Joni Mitchell on the old record player in their living room, or requesting Aurora play this exact song on her piano in the pub while she bussed tables and danced around with an infectious smile on her face. She remembered birthdays spent eating cake for breakfast and all the incredible times her mum and she had spent together. By the time Harry sang the last refrain; “Pave paradise, put up a parking lot”, she was desperately trying not to cry, touched beyond words that her husband would do this for her, and her mother, who he’d never had the chance to meet. He stepped away from the microphone and as the crowd cheered, he ran over to where she was sitting behind her keyboard, planting a kiss on her lips, and hugging her tightly.
“Surprised?” he asked over the cheering, a wide grin lighting up his face.
“Thank you,” Aurora replied. Harry used the pad of his thumb to wipe a few stray tears, blocking her from the audience's view for a few seconds so she could regain her composure. “I love you.”
“Love you too,” he grinned, kissing her one more time before returning to the microphone. “Ok this next one is Meet Me in the Hallway!”

Leaf: I would like to learn more about the fae, could you tell me where a good place to start would be? maybe book recommendations? or specific fairy tales to look into? thank you so much
Ah, welcome. It is always good to see those who wish to broaden their knowledge of the old stories. As to the Fae, it depends on what you’re looking for. You see, the Folk did not arise from a singular instance of Mythology, but from an amalgamation of many cultural traditions and stories. For Ireland we have the Tuatha de Danann and their battles against the Fir Bolg and eventually become the Aos Sidhe. There are the Welsh Tylwyth Teg who steal fair haired children from their beds and leave changelings in their place. The Scottish hold great pride in their Seelie and Unseelie courts, while the Scandinavian people whisper fearfully of Trolls, Gnomes, Shapeshifters, Wights, and Werewolves. Will you look to the Norse for stories of Light Elfs, Dwarfs, and Disir? Or to the Germanic Wichtlein who aided miners, and are one of the distant precursors to both the Goblins and Dwarfs we imagine today?Or would you prefer to move forward to the Victorian age where Fae were brought together to diminutive sprites and fanciful little magics that you might find in Peter Pan, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, or the Faerie Queene? It really depends on what you’re trying to find. The Lore of the Fae is vast and encompasses the traditions of many different European cultures, each unique and important in its own way. I can include below a full list of all the sources I happen to possess at this time. Hopefully they will grant your desire of providing an excellent place with which to begin your research.

Christ for someone who knows everyone elses business she never saw what was happening to her own daughter.
29 years im done. Sick of being a leighton.
I said Stockholm syndrome I loved my captives just happened to be the people I called mum and dad....
I still love them both but what I was "known as normal" was not remotely normal.
Eg. I was appendicitis and born 8 months in mum had no clue and I was "hiding" behind her ribs. It's medically impossible.
Not to mention lived in New York every other year from age of 6 months till I was 13. Dad would take me over and over and over mum came ONCE for my 13th.
I have no memories of New York. It's kind of a huge thing and place to have been wiped out of a memory.
Now im clear-minded im having pseudoseizures because my subconscious doesn't want me to remember what happened.
What mother would let a new born or toddler a child that can't speak fly to the other side of the world to only be with men. My dad and my fucked up uncle who sends stuff to "favourite" niece
I've tried so hard to get better and it's not even my family who acknowledged it.
There's so much you don't know.
She used to have me go in the house before her in case dad had killed himself so id find him first from the ages of 7 onwards. When dad past I went behind the curtain first. So I kept the is see him first. On 29th April 2018
I was always on eggshells she would say people die of lack of breath so EVERY NIGHT id check on mum and dad every hour. She would hold her breath to screw with me. Then say im not dead go to bed.
The house was toxic. For once in my life im actually sane.
She is not who you think she is.
If I've lost my mind it's because my environment sucked. I'm finally out. Sober can think clear and don't harm because I don't have to deal with the toxicity that I dealt with ALL my life.
If I told you everything you wouldn't believe me. Which is fine know one does because but it's true.
Always ask why or what causes someone to go off the rails and self destruct. I never felt safe, I was always told I was a mistake and everything was my fault. As long as I kept the family secrets mum was happy.
Dad was toxic. Mum the same. She wants drama so I finally said enough.
When I say mum knows everything I mean she saw it all and NEVER had it stop or put me safe. I can finally talk now dad is gone. I could write every TRUTH down and write a book. People would wonder how the hell did this girl cope and live to tell. I lived because I care about everything and everyone else. But im done now.
I doubt you'd believe me if im honest. My inbox is full of people defending her and my dad. If only they knew. its been a long time coming but im finally speaking out.
I know people don't understand but I don't want to burden with it. If You like my mum and dad id rather I let you keep the illusion. I know it's out there now that's enough.
If you want to see my life keep reading otherwise STOP HERE.
I'm fine and im safe finally. I just needed more as a child than fear of what should of been my safe place a home.
I don't want us to be strangers to the people who read this and thin sarahs lost it.
I don't want to cause a riff, I just couldn't not say it finally. Mum says always go to counselling but I couldn't. I couldn't tell anyone the truth about dad or mum. Or the truth on why I had to have a very intrusive operation due to assault by 3 at Halloween party. Mum now knows that. Dad was arrested for hitting the wrong lad. Dad and mum would have gone down for murder if I spoke out.
On the other hand there was also my home life in general. I was made to stay quiet about having a revolving door of strangers. Huge boozy parties after a night out. Mum and me being treat like muck on a shoe.
A abusive uncle who would have me and my cusion be "kissing cusions" .Every night when I was 15 to 26 I drank took sleeping pills and hid away in my room self destructive harm anything so not to deal.
I look like wolferrines attacked me because of the arguments or threats. Mum couldnt leave the house quick enough. I gave up on a career to care for my dad but I was always looked down on.
****** golden girl. left was I was guilt tripped saying "your still dads girl you won't leave me" while dad would cry. Every night.
Mum swears I was an appendicitis 8 months in term. I'd be handed to anyone and everyone. Every year or every other from birth id end up in america. Mum would say her holidays where when me and dad would leave. From 6 months old id always go back and forth to New York. I couldnt talk yet "apparently" begged to go with dad.
Mum would say after blazing rows im leaving.
Then just walk out the door. I was left with a highly angry father and confused were mum had gone and if she would come back for me. I'd stay up all night waiting. I'd hide crying and scream in a pillow so not to be to loud so dad didn't shout.
I was told my face doesn't fit. My nick name was ferret face or panda. I would hurt my self so not to hurt others. I wanted and trained to be a counsellor so one to understand what I did wrong and two and most importantly to be there for the people who needed support.
I went to rehab to be identified when found so my parents wouldn't have to. If it wasn't for craig I doubt if be here.
Craig saved my life. Mum has always put others before me or ignored it so it didn't exist.
Important in here (ears) none important (over your head)
I was terrified everyday of my life. I loved and do love my parents it's just I can't stay quite any longer.
Money or game consoles chocolate sweets where hush money. Dad would buy crates of spirits and beer and supple my / his pills so I was always foggy minded.
I'm finally sober clean and harm free my mind is the most composed it ever been.
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
Mum is a star and has a heart of gold to others but from age 7 onwards everyone else came first.
I pride my self on protecting, comforting trying to be there and support everyone, hell even risked my life enough times to save some. because I never had it. No one to fight for me protect me.
I wanted parents love encouragement happy I archived or even tried. But it never came.
Even my graduation was ruined.
I wasn't allowed to get a job they made me be sick and have PTSD mum still to this day loves to make me jump. I have terrifying nightmares.
I'd hear conversations no child should hear because they either didn't notice I was there or care. When ***** killed him self when *** did when dad tried and I was left with a random man being told "your dads took to many sweets"
The same man who later tried it on with me sending dirty pictures or dads other "mates" who would try there luck. I gained a shit ton of weight 21 stone so NO guy would come near me because the strangers who would come to the house used to try and feel me up or perv if door was unlocked as I was a kid.
She saw everything but wouldn't believe it. Or me. I phone our ***** one night years ago because she said I could and she yelled at me because she had work. I was silently screaming for help.
It was only at dads funeral she saw and realised and was so genuinely sorry for not believing me the night I phoned.
I wish every single thing I've said and keep telling was a lie but it's not it's 25/26 years of fear.
I'm 29 now. For the first time in my life im not on eggshells. I have a safe home. I can lock the door and not fear.
I wish these were lies I swear!!!!! I do but there not.
Yet NO ONE will even consider it's the TRUTH.

Honestly so proud of and in love with Stockholm during pride season. Ever single bus has pride flags on them, I've seen flags at the airport, hotels, tube, train station, and in so so many stores. Let's keep it going until no one has feels ashamed of who they are or are scared to be themselves 🏳️‍🌈🇸🇪🏳️‍🌈
