Supporting the brazen acts of financial corruption through the executive branch, whether through crypto, through “gifts” of private jets, through dismantling agencies like the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), who’s only objective was to protect American consumers, by selling access to the presidency, or through making deals for real estate projects as president….. Not patriotic.

Supporting clear 1st amendment infringement (not just getting your false post taken down from social media) like telling universities what they can teach under the guise of antisemitism ordered by the most antisemitic and racism administration in generations, like suing news outlets, like putting the “ten commandments” in public schools, like instituting Christian public schools, or like how with unbelievable gaslighting and hypocrisy claiming that NBC, CBS, ABC, are political operatives while aligning with Fox News and saying NOTHING about them…. Not patriotic.

By selling your country out in some immature “own the libs” mentality, then acting like nothing is wrong as our republic crumbles beneath us…. Not patriotic.

UPDATE ON THE TAKEDOWN ACT 4/7/2025

I have been informed that the House is going to have a committee hearing (energy and commerce committee) on the Take It Down Act. This is a bill that Trump has pushed hard to get passed so that he can abuse it and use it to take down social media posts criticizing him. Its another mass censorship tool disguised as "protecting kids".

THE TRUMP-MUSK FUNDING GRAB: THE QUIET COUP

Since taking office, President Trump and Elon Musk have worked together to defund the federal government from the inside while consolidating power into the hands of a right-wing elite. Their goal is clear: gut federal agencies, strip public resources, and redirect power and money into their own hands.

Agencies Are Starved of Ability to Help People: Key federal agencies—including the Departments of Health, Education, and Transportation—have been forced into bare-bones operations, unable to implement vital programs we depend on.

FEMA and Disaster Relief Blocked: Funding for emergency relief programs is being deliberately slowed or denied, leaving communities vulnerable.

Social Security and Medicare Under Threat: Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” has gained full access to the U.S. Treasury's federal payment system, which processes Social Security, Medicare, and tax refunds. His team now has access to millions of Americans’ financial data and can manipulate payments.

Vought wrote a chapter of Project 2025, which starts by outlining the role that OMB should play in implementing the massively unpopular playbook. If confirmed, Russell Vought will control federal spending. That means he will claim to have the power to:

Freeze funding for critical programs like Medicaid, public schools, environmental protections, and infrastructure.

Redirect federal dollars to right-wing priorities, including tax cuts for the wealthy and corporate handouts.

Defund regulatory agencies that keep corporations in check and protect workers and consumers.

Non-Profit Bill - Spread the word

In case you missed it, the “nonprofit killer bill”—which would give the executive branch unprecedented control to revoke nonprofit’s tax status and kill off any organization they don’t agree with— is back.1 And this time, it’s wrapped into a budget bill, which is moving quickly.

I’ll go over the details in a second, but we are moving quickly to stop this bill so that countless organizations that run food banks, provide disaster relief, and fight for your rights aren’t shut down. Can you chip in right now to fuel this rapid response campaign?

Okay, let me get you up to speed:

You might remember in November when Congress was trying to pass HR 9495, the original version of this bill. If passed, this bill would let the Trump administration (as well as future presidential administrations) designate any nonprofit as “terrorist affiliated,” and strip them of their tax-exempt status (aka their 501(c)3 status, for the tax nerds out there) with no justification or due process.2

Now, the same bill text is attached to a budget reconciliation package that’s moving rapidly through House committees and could get a floor vote by Memorial Day.3 We rallied so much opposition to the bill last time around that this budget process is the best chance proponents have for passing it. That means it’s also our best chance to kill it, maybe even for good. We have to seize this opportunity urgently, and we can’t do it without you. It’s not hard to see where this would go: Trump has already been going after activists, foundations, universities, and government officials and agencies that don’t agree with him.4 If this bill passes, it would allow him to target nonprofits with impunity. And the end result would be people who rely on these groups for support and community resources would suffer.

As soon as we found out this bill was included in a must-pass budget package, we jumped to action. In less than 24 hours we got a helpful call tool set up, drove over 700 calls to key Congressional offices, and got our take out to news outlets so they could help raise awareness.5,6,7

Keep the US Postal Service Independent

Trump is planning to take control of the United States Postal Service after firing the entire Postal Board and placing the agency under the control of the Commerce Department. The Postal Board of Governors cannot be legally dismissed without cause, and Trump’s attempt to override the system is an illegal takeover that threatens mail-in voting, veterans’ jobs, and the public’s ability to receive affordable mail service. This comes just days after Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced his resignation following five controversial years at the agency. The USPS is mandated to provide affordable service to every zip code, but privatization could result in significant price hikes, post office closures, and slower mail—especially in rural areas.

Beyond delivering mail, USPS is also one of the largest employers in the country, with over 635,000 workers—including nearly 100,000 military members and veterans in its workforce. Privatization would put these jobs at risk.

Congress must act now to prevent this blatant power grab and ensure the USPS remains independent, affordable, and accessible to all Americans.
