Sure! I’ll give you some stuff on the arc that winds up to the Space arc. It’s dubbed the “Save Donnie Arc.”

After the turtles wipe the floor with the Foot—despite being armed with Kraang weaponry—The Kraang decide that these “turtles” are actually much more of a threat than they originally anticipated and so instruct Bishop to catch and study them.

So after awhile, Bishop discovers that Donnie and Mikey like to rummage through a select few junkyards for various bits and bobs, and ambushes them with a team of dudes. Mikey’s able to escape, but they manage to catch Donnie and drag him back to Bishop’s Lab.

Don’t worry, it ends happily and no one dies.

Bishop doesn’t know as much as he thinks he knows. The Kraang keep him very much in the dark on almost everything and use him as their human puppet, not that he cares.

Sorry, Raph, I can’t answer that question for you.

Bishop made a very dangerous enemy.

Donnie’s pretty injured, physically and mentally afterwards, but hugs are the best bandaid💕

The eastern suburbs of Newport where "all the hipsters live" (according to Christian) The streets are a little grungy and you'll get a whiff of rotten trash on every corner but it's home to the best coffee in the city, a vibrant mix of culture and many, many neighbourhood (or perhaps just lost) cats.

I wanted to paint what the demon world looks like, but I also just love drawing the besties :>

Arx Arcis is held together by spells from thousands of years ago, fueled by the residual energy of spells casted in the world. A once shapeless, empty plane of existence now has gravity and solid ground to walk on.

The constant flow of magic required to hold the world together creates light in the perpetual night sky, illuminating the surface below. The surface itself is the same as the sky, but with a solid glass-like feel and reflective sheen.

There’s no weather, but a slight breeze can be felt at higher elevation from the shift of new magic replacing old magic. There are no fossil fuels, as there are no fossils, so the air is always clean. Demon magic is more than enough to power even the largest cities.

Magic also dictates how buildings cluster into cities. Teleportation is a basic, low-effort spell for demons, so there is no need for vehicles and therefore highways. All cities are walkable in Arx Arcis, but as you get farther away from one of the capitol cities, like the one pictured here, the distance between clusters of buildings is unsettlingly empty.

It’s also very flat. Both in topography and in the shape of the world itself. Arx Arcis is more of an inter-dimensional plane of existence than an actual planet. There are solid glass-like walls bordering the perimeter of Arx Arcis. They’re heavily charmed to prevent tampering.

Despite its beauty and cleanliness, the lack of sun is a huge detriment. There are plenty of indoor parks dedicated to growing food and plants, all maintained by a spell-borne artificial sun. But humans held captive by the residents of Arx Arcis hardly make it to these parks and often suffer from disorders related to sunlight and vitamin d deficiency. Plenty of demons take day trips to the human world just to feel one of their coveted suns on their skin.

so i’m indie tmnt.. about leo and karai.. how’s that work?

So in Indie TMNT, Leo and Karai are what you could call “a couple” and while in the beginning that’s much more of a correct term, they mellow out as more of a super fighting duo that enjoys each other’s company.

Leo is the first to notice Karai and develop a crush, though he knows that it’s weird and he’s very shy about it. He does nice things for her and will cover for her even when he shouldn’t.

Karai in the beginning doesn’t have any feelings about him, negative or positive, he’s just another guy Shredder rants about at dinner. The Shredder, however, sees the potential for getting close to the turtles via Leo’s crush and she and him concoct a plan to play Leo. Unfortunately though, Karai actually ends up liking him back. They have many common interests, she thinks he’s funny and they naturally get along very well. So then Karai is caught between a rock and a hard place having to play double agent for both Leo and the Shredder.

During the invasion, Karai’s loyalties are really put in jeopardy as the Shredder is giving her direct commands and Leo is standing right there. Though Leo ends up thinking she chose to side with the Shredder—which he accepts and respects since he would do the same for his father, though he’s still kinda heart broken—Karai actually saved his life. I won’t spoil how, but she does in her typical sly manner.

Afterwards they make up and explain what happened. As time goes on, Leo’s teen crush kind of mellows into more of a close friendship and same with Karai. They’re both aware that their relationship won’t go anywhere and they’re okay with that, so they both decide that their relationship will end up being more like a friendship than a romance.

I hope this makes any amount of sense. I’m basing their relationship off of a couple I know in real life so it feels more natural. I do this with all relationships I write, for instance, April & Casey and Raph & Mona are based off stories I’ve heard of my parents as teenagers/young adults.

I think this is the most delicate relationship of all to deal with since it has a very bad reputation—no thanks to 2012–and can often come off as weird. The objective of Indie TMNT is to recreate and master everything in the TMNT universe and consolidate it into one iteration.

I think I want something more similar to the 87 Leo and Lotus which is very cute(in my opinion). I think people often take these relationships too seriously and forget the fact that the turtles are 15-16. All of the “romantic” relationships in my tmnt are very pure hearted “hey, I like you being here” sort of relationships.

PLEASE NOTE: a lot of this could end up changing because of plot reasons, so don’t take this as exactly what will happen to the letter. This is a vague idea that I currently have jotted down, so take this with a grain of salt and thank you for your understanding.

Also, I WANT OPINIONS ON THIS!

Hey you know how I said I was going to post about Valkyrie and promptly didnt? Yeah im getting to that now. ◆Name: Valkyrie

Now here is for all of the text that im sure no one really wants to reads but im putting it here. Backstory: Do you know how when you go to the pokemon daycare and they say "your pokemon was holding and egg and we dont know how it got there?" Yep, thats how Valkyrie came into the world! Val was the outcome of an 'accidental breeding', being born (hatched???) at the Rivière Walk Daycare in Kalos. The young Riolu lived her puphood there along with her mother, at least for a little while. Val's mother (currently unnamed) loved her daughter very much, even tho she hadnt really planned on having a pup, she wasnt upset by it. As the little riolu grew older, she became more and more curious about herself and the world beyond the fence at the daycare. Her mother didnt shy much away from telling her daughter the truth in how she came about, and she spoke often about her father who lived 'very far away'. Val's mother spoke very highly of her father, talking about how he was a very kind Lucario, but was a little lost in his life at the time they met. And while he was not aware that he had a child, she is very sure if he knew about her, he would love her just as much as she does. Much like actual animals, it didnt take too long before she was able to start being away from her mother for periods of time. Val's mother would start to leave the daycare with her trainer and come back in the afternoons, but after a while, her mother's absence grew more and more. First returning every couple of days, then a few days a week, then every other week, until one day she did not return. What happened to her mother and trainer are unknown, but it is presumed that the little riolu was abandoned at the daycare. She would stand by the fence everyday, hopefully waiting for her mother to return. It didnt take long for the little riolu to start becoming withdrawn and isolated herself from other pokemon at the daycare. Standing by the fence or window become something an obsession to her, each day when she was let out she would run to her spot and wait, wanting nothing to do with anyone. The daycare couple knew that it would only be a matter of time before they would have to return her to the wild. (this is a whole HC in itself) Enter Gus! Gus was new at the daycare, part of his schooling to become a Pokemon Ranger. It didnt take long for him to notice the little Riolu standing all by herself each day at the fence, and asked the daycare couple about her. They explained how her trainer did not come back for her, and that while sad, this isnt an uncommon occurrence. Many pokemon are usually left at the daycare and while they would love to keep them all, they cant. All they can do is take care of them enough and slowly start to reintroduce them back into the wild (and this includes baby pokemon) and well.. what happens, happens. This didnt set well with Gus as he really didnt like the idea of this little Riolu being sent out to fend for herself in the wild, and thus made a goal for himself to try and befriend the little pokemon!.... which was not an easy task 😅 It took a lot of work, but over time, the little Riolu started to follow Gus around the daycare, at first just being in the same room/area with him, and then eventually moving closer until she was almost like a second shadow. She still continued to stare out past the gate or windows, but now she was waiting for Gus to come to work. The sudden change in the little Riolu didnt go unnoticed by the day care couple, who were so happy to see the pokemon gaining some life back to her, and asked Gus if he would like to adopt her! Besides himself in excitement, he eagerly agreed, and went out to buy a luxury ball that same day. The next morning he asked the little Riolu if she would like to accompany him on his journeys, which she too happily accepted! Gus eventually gave her the name Valkyrie, and the two have been together ever since.
