🌙A different moon goddess🌙
You might know her from this piece . This drawing is actually a lot older than the full bg illust, it's from 2019 but I did fix some things digitally to bring the style closer to my current one.

Floral Tiara - Maybe Princess Catherine will be wearing this tiara
The Strathmore Rose Tiara, or Queen Elizabeth’s Strathmore Tiara, was a gift to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon from her father, the Earl of Strathmore, for her 1923 wedding to the Duke of York, the future King George VI. The tiara features a garland of wild roses in diamonds mounted in silver and gold and was purchased for the future Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at a London jeweler; it dates from the late nineteenth century. The pavé-set diamond roses could be used as individual brooches, and – at least originally – could be swapped out for five single-collet sapphires, according to The Queen’s Diamonds
When a tiara disappears into the vault for so long, rumors and speculation tend to arise. In particular, there’s a rumor that the Strathmore Rose is in such poor condition or so fragile that it can’t be worn. I do not know the source of that suggestion and it may simply be speculation taken as fact; what we do know is that the tiara has been photographed alone a few times in recent decades and, obviously, the Queen has jewelers to fix things if that’s really what is needed or desired. (The Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara, for example, had its frame repaired multiple times during the Queen’s reign and was eventually remade in the 1980s.) Personally, I hope the Strathmore Rose Tiara will reappear someday – if for no other reason than to satisfy our curiosity.

Trying to be better about switching up my mediums and actually using all the sketchbooks and random tools I’ve collected over the years. Would more physical sketchbook pages be fun to see? I’ve got a lot of pages to fill.
Materials: Mixed media in a Strathmore 400 Series sketchbook, my fav sketchbooks to ever exist. The paper handles all kinds of mediums so nicely, so I can really play around on it.

It’s Fine Press Friday!
John Milton’s Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained is here illustrated by American artist, illustrator, and printmaker, Carlotta Petrina (1901-1997) and printed in 1939 for the members of the Limited Editions Club (LEC) by California fine printer John Henry Nash (1871-1947) in San Francisco in an edition of 1500 copies signed by the artist..
Paradise Lost is an epic poem written in blank verse, first printed in 1667 by Samuel Simmons, London. Its sequel, Paradise Regained, was first printed in 1671 by John Martyn. The sixteen drawings by Carlotta Petrina for this LEC edition serve as the opening pages for each book of the poem. The drawings are reproduced in photogravure which captures the richness of the original drawing with its velvety blacks and subtle tones. They appear as though the artist drew directly on the page, erasures and all. The Eve figure is based on Petrina herself, and the male figure was based on her late husband. This personal touch creates a greater level of intimacy and emotion in the images.
The type is eighteen-point Cloister Light. The paper was made by Strathmore. The binding is quarter Irish linen with covers wrapped in a paper brilliantly decorated in batik. Gift of Loryn Romadka from the collection of Austin Fredric Lutter.

I finally got around to buying some paper that's actually meant for markers and pens! I also found chisel tips of the Sakura Pigma Micron pens I usually use, which I'd never seen before.
