Preparing for a Stroke Play Tournament
Stroke play tournaments are a different beast. One slip and your score can climb higher than expected. It is evitable that situations will arise that cause consternation, but how we respond will determine our successes. I played many stroke tournaments in the past with mixed results. I won a bunch and failed to perform in others; regardless, as my experience grew playing in stroke play events so…

i'm sorry but i'm rewatching free! the final stroke part 1, and it's actually hilarious how haru practically confessed to rin by saying that his reason for still fighting to win was because of rin and that he always wants to compete with rin next to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and rin's response was just like, yeah... so about that... i'm not gonna race with you anymore :/

i mean, i too would let world-renowned swimmer albert wåhlander possess my body so i didn't have to deal with that rejection!

When (Dodie)
Sure, I'll live in the moment/But I'm never happy here/I'm surrounded by greener looking time/Am I the only one wishing life away?/Never caught up in the moment/Busy begging the past to stay/Memories painted with much brighter ink/They tell me I loved, teach me how to think
"It’s about looking back on your youth and all of the missed opportunities and things you wish you could return to, so the lyrics definitely punch you in the gut. And the floatiness of the version on the Build A Problem album definitely adds to the nostalgic vibes."
Ode to the Mets (The Strokes)
Listen one time, it's not the truth/It's just a story I tell to you/Easy to say, easy to do/But it's not easy, well, maybe for you/Hope that you find it, hope that it's good/Hope that you read it, think that you should/Cuts you some slack as he sits back/Sizes you up, plans his attack
"If you haven't gotten any entries for this one yet I'd be very suprised. Very personal reasons why it fucks me up so so bad so I won't detail them here but!! It's funny that like 40% of the strokes tag is just ppl posting lyrics from this song with crying and sobbing and sobbing and crying drawing memes."

I am dragging this out, but I love the kiss scenario. Okay, so, let me set the scene. The overblot gang overblots, and almost as soon as they come out of it their S/O would run over to them embrace them, and kiss them in pure relief and joy at them being okay. Reactions?
I am so sorry for taking a while to get to this ;~;
cw: spoilers for all the overblots under the cut
Overblotters react to you kissing them in the aftermath
Riddle:
-He feels like crying. Scratch that, he is crying. When you rush up to him, he immediately reaches out to you, and sobs into the crook of your neck. He blubbers out countless apologies, his words blurring together. Then, you kiss him. You can taste his tears, and he lets out a whimper, his knees buckling. You both crash to the ground, and he continues to cling to you, like a child seeking reassurance. Know that your presence is extremely comforting to him. and that he's more than grateful that you're there even in one of his darkest moments. Even as Ace begins to yell at him, he snuggles close to you, his tears staining your shirt.
Leona:
-You nearly knock him off his feet when you suddenly tackle him. He lets out a huff, and wraps his arm around your shoulders. "Easy, herbivore. No need for all that," he grumbles. Still, he lets you pull him into a kiss. As the others start declaring that they're going to wipe the floor with him in the spelldrive tournament, he takes their ribbing with ease. But you can feel the way he leans on you for support, and you can see that he's more exhausted than he's letting on. Later, he'll collapse on top of you, and sleep until well past the morning, cradling you in his arms.
Azul:
-When he comes to, the first thing he sees is your worried face hovering over him. You gasp, and immediately embrace him. Azul blinks, willing away the tears that are starting to form. You kiss him, and he lets out a muffled whine. He feels pathetic, but your affection is comforting, to say the least. You break away, only for Floyd and Jade to come in to ascertain if Azul truly was alright. Later, when you see the picture of him as a cute, chubby kid, he'll do his best to cover your eyes, and he'll blush when you coo over how adorable he was. Maybe...you don't actually mind how weak he used to be.
Jamil:
-He sighs, and rolls his eyes when you kiss him. "Being worried about someone like me, even after this... You really have no sense of self-preservation, huh?" Despite his harsh words, he holds you close, and buries his face in the crook of your neck. "I'm glad you don't," he mumbles, sagging against your body. When Kalim tries to hug him too, sobbing, Jamil pushes him away, and yells at him. But as he raises his voice, he still remains with you, even covering your ears to make sure he won't hurt you with his volume. When all of this is over, he'll worry about you changing your mind, and deciding that you can do better than a servant who's betrayed his master. For now, though, he's content to have you close, and maybe he'll give you a few more kisses in private to reward you for staying despite everything.
Vil:
-It's over. It's all over. He's shown you the absolute worst side of himself. The petty, jealous, downright ugly part of him hidden deep within his heart. He's fully expecting you to say it's over. So when you instead rush into his arms, crying out in concern for his well-being, he's uncharacteristically silent. He only recovers when you kiss him, showing him proof of your continued affection. He cups your cheek, idly stroking your skin, and he lets out a huff of laughter. He can still feel your kiss on his lips as Malleus repairs the stadium, and as he dances and sings on stage. When it's all over, he'll return to you, weary, but somehow happy. "Come, my little blossom. Stay with me for a while. After all, a queen is nothing without her loyal king."
Idia:
-He's shell shocked, for more reasons than one. Seeing Vil's wrinkled face, losing Ortho again, and now? Now, you're clinging to him and giving him kisses. He stutters over his words, his hair flaming up to a rather familiar pink as his hands flail. He's not sure if he's embarrassed about you kissing him in front of everyone else, or if he's just relieved to still be on the receiving end of your love. After a few moments of unceremonious floundering, he gives in, leaning into your embrace. He sighs deeply as the others start calling out for him to fix the system and seal the gate. Can't he just stay in your arms a little while longer?
Malleus:
-His arms are slow to wrap around you, but he tightens his grip when you tug him into a relieved kiss. He feels...oddly empty inside. He did all of this to keep Lilia, you, and everyone else with him forever. And he figured that this might have been the end. You'd seen just how possessive he could be, and how powerful he was. He wouldn't have blamed you if you'd been scared of him. But here you are, in his arms, right where you belong. Still loving him, despite the things he put you through. He pulls you closer, almost crushing you against his chest. "Don't leave me. Please..."

dilf art donaldson sat on the couch, legs spread, hands behind his back, while you use a fleshlight on him and make fun of him for being so much older than you :)
tellin him he’s certainly old enough to retire from tennis, and that he should. rubbing it in his face that he’s pushing forty and still losing tournaments after nearly 20+ years playing the sport.
whispering in his ear that you’re young enough to pass as his daughter’s babysitter.
he doesn’t know how to handle all of it, but wow it gets him swelling and aching
all the while you’re sliding the squishy toy all over his stupid dick; up, down, up, down, up, down. . listening to his anguished moans and watching him roll his neck, pleading for you to stop bc he can’t give any more
“m-milking me dry, please no more, i can’t take any— no— ohh- HAH— wait wait, i’m gonna come again! i’m gonna come again, gonna c-come again—! can’t help it! can’t stop—!”
and you just laugh at him and shake your head and stroke him faster
“surprised you still have the stamina for this kinda thing, mr. donaldson.”
he’s literally never finished faster in his life than he does the moment you call him that. he’s sick.

flu season (aka wrio’s nightmare) — ft. wriothesley
Tumblr media
wriothesley finds flu season utterly dreadful when he’s banned from visiting you in the infirmary. you say it’s for his own good, but he thinks he’s never been worse ; or—a short drabble based on this post
before you read: fem reader ; fortress nurse reader ; grumpy and drama queen wriothesley ; established relationship ; suggestiveness ; reader sits on his lap ; banter and fluff
Tumblr media
Wriothesley is sulking.
You know it before you hear it from the other inmates—mostly because you know him well enough by now, but mainly because Sigewinne’s concerned comments about the guy have made it abundantly clear that he’s not his normal self. You feel a little bad, considering it’s your doing and all, but it’s for his own good along with the functions of the fortress.
Unfortunately, it’s not so good for the other inmates, it seems. You seem to hear a new rumor every day.
His grace has confiscated credit coupons from me for being late to my shift!
Yesterday, I heard his grace joined a pankration tournament. He was in such a sour mood, twelve participants dropped out before it even began out of fear!
Have you seen his grace lately? He seems rather…tense.
Finally, for the sake of everyone’s sanity as much as your own, you decide to pay him a visit. The only person who can fix this issue is the cause of it in the first place—you.
“Wriothesley,” you say tiredly, walking into his office as he taps a pen against his desk irritably while he reads over documents. “This madness needs to end—don’t be such a baby.”
“Why, hello to you too, dear lady of mine,” he grumbles, “it’s lovely to see you as well, I too have really missed you. Would you care for a cup of tea?”
You stifle a snort at his grumpiness, coming forward to cup his cheeks and lean down to plant a path of soft, lingering kisses across his forehead.
“There. You have my attention. Cheered up now?”
“No,” he grunts. He’s lying, of course. He’s significantly loosened his rigid posture and melted under your touch quite a bit, but his arms have crossed in an effort to stay firm.
This time, you really do giggle—he sends you an offended glare in response.
“This is for your own good, Wrio.”
“I think I’m considerably capable enough to handle a light cold if I happen to catch one,” he raises a brow, “I’ve been banned from visiting my own girlfriend.”
“It’s flu season, you know,” you hum, stroking back a few strands of messy hair from his forehead, “I could never, in good conscience, let the duke allow himself to get sick! That would set the fortress back quite a bit in paperwork.”
“Perhaps my girlfriend just doesn’t want to see me,” he huffs, “perhaps she’s grown tired of me. How unfortunate for my poor heart.”
“Oh, Wrio, you dramatic thing!” You swat at his shoulders, and the slightest ghost of a smile tugs at the corners his lips before they pull into a frown again forcefully.
You smile knowingly at the beginning cracks in his resolve.
“Don’t you miss me? Even just a little?” He slumps against your body, burying his face into your shirt and wrapping his arms around your waist as you run your fingers through his hair. He shivers when your nails scratch gently at the nape of his neck.
“I do,” you hum, “of course I miss your routine little visits in the middle of my working hours. But that doesn’t change my decision—it’s flu season and the infirmary is filled with flu patients. You’ll stay out as much as you can help it, understood?”
“Fine,” he deflates.
“And quit taking out your grumpiness on the poor inmates. You’re giving them an unnecessarily hard time.”
“I’m not,” he protests, “I’m simply keeping them in line. It’s my job to—”
“Wriothesley,” you warn.
He clicks his teeth and sighs in frustration. “It’s ridiculous that they can visit the infirmary whenever they please and I can’t!”
You chuckle and bring his face to tilt towards you, leaning closer and kissing along his cheeks, pressing a peck to the tip of his nose before you hover over his lips. His breath hitches for a moment, leaning in slightly on instinct only to curl his lips in a slight pout (though he’d never admit it) when you keep him in place with a firm grip on his face.
“But if you don’t get sick,” you murmur lowly, kissing the corner of his mouth, “then you won’t be too tired for after-hour activities once I leave the infirmary for the night. Don’t you think?”
He swallows thickly at the implications, weighing your words in his head for a moment before deciding there’s some merit to them. You almost want to roll your eyes at the simplicity of his mind sometimes.
His hands grab your hips and pull you to take a seat on his lap, burying his head into your neck as he mumbles, “I suppose that’s a valid point.”
“If you’re nicer,” you trace a finger along his bicep, earning a shiver from him, “and don’t give the poor prisoners a hard time, I could think of a way or two to help you let your frustrations out.”
“Oh?” He grins into your neck, pressing a hot kiss or two against the skin, “what an enticing offer, dear nurse. You really care for my wellbeing, it seems.”
“I do,” you roll your eyes fondly, shaking your head. Finally, you climb off his lap—much to his dismay, of course, making his shoulders droop as you abruptly cut off his (very) limited moment of attention for the day, “so do me a favor and don’t make my job any harder than it has to be.”
“Can I at least swing by during your lunch hour—”
“No.”
He groans in defeat behind you as you giggle and turn, swiftly leaving his office.

Tumblr media
You gaze out across the stadium, shocked at the hundreds of people clamoring to see the violence and pageantry of the tournament. Your hands smooth down your dress anxiously. Rhaenyra picked a beautiful gown. The deep red of the gown is offset with gold embroidery along your shoulders and waist. The patterns resemble dragon scales, glistening as the light hits it.
Rhaenyra looks over, seeing your anxious movements and grabbing your hand to still the gesture. She brings it up to her mouth, kissing the back of your hand before she turns to address the crowd.
“Be welcome!” She shouts. “I know that many of you have traveled great distances to witness these games. I trust you will not be disappointed.”
The crowd’s cheers are deafening, but Rhaenyra continues once they die down to a dull roar. “Looking across the fine knights here today, I see a group without equal. May the luck of the seven shine on our combatants!”
She raises your joined hands in a cheer. You brace yourself for whatever disapproval might come from the crowd. If two women in modern days still got weird looks in public, you weren’t sure you were ready for whatever reaction this medieval world would have. The crowd continues to cheer, and you swear you can hear someone shouting “all hail the queens.”
Rhaenyra pulls you in for a chaste kiss before motioning for the tourney announcer to take over. Your cheeks are on fire from her very public display of affection. “I wasn’t expecting that reaction,” you admitted as you both took your seats.
“Whatever do you mean, darling?”
“I-” you pause for a moment. “You know? I just didn’t think people would be so accepting of our relationship?”
Rhaenyra laughs, “the smallfolk have always adored you. How could they not?”
“It’s just that people where I’m from-”
“You’re from here.” Rhaenyra interrupts, frowning. “Your place is with me, with us. Our people–your people–would fight wars in your name.”
You sigh in frustration. Rhaenyra, Daemon, and the maester were still convinced that you fell and all the memories of your past life were just an odd dream. It wasn’t a frequent argument, but one that never failed to begin at the most inconvenient times.
When you don’t respond, Nyra cups your face in her hands and forces you to look her in the eyes. “Do you know what the smallfolk see when they look at you?”
“Nyra-”
“They see the same thing that I see,” she says. “A queen.” Your hand comes up to cover hers as you lean into her palm.
Rhaenyra’s thumb gently strokes your cheek. “I love you. It doesn’t matter where you came from, you’re here now. You’re here, and you’re mine. Never forget that.”
Your breath catches in your throat. “It’s not fair,” you whisper. “You always know exactly what to say.”
Before Rhaenyra can respond, a yell from the arena draws your attention. “My queen! My lady!” Daemon’s voice reverberates through the stadium. Both you and Rhaenyra walk to the edge of the balcony, and the site nearly takes your breath away. Your husband is terrifying in his armor, and so, so, so attractive.
“Fuck,” you swear. The dark armor is covered in the Targaryen crest and adorned with dragon-reminiscent flairs throughout the pieces. Daemon removes his helmet, shaking our his hair and preening at the attention.
“My beautiful wives, I am certain that I will win this tournament.” Daemon boasts. “But with your favor, there will be no doubt.”
Rhaenyra laughs, “I don’t know. Should we offer our dear husband our favor?”
“Hmmm,” you pretend to think it over. “I fear there are many knights worthy of this honor. How am I to deci-”
“My love, must I get on my knees to beg your favor,” Daemon teases.
“It would certainly be a start,” you smirk. “I suppose I can give you our favor, on one condition.”
“Anything.”
“Win this tourney swiftly so we might celebrate your victory together.” You say, grabbing the favor.
Daemon winks at you, raising his fist as the crowd roars in approval. You watch your husband ride out to meet his first opponent.
“You know we are never going to hear the end of it if he wins,” Rhaenyra sighs. Daemon takes his place across from the other knight, placing his helmet back on and adjusting his grip on the jousting lance.
“Was there ever a doubt he would?” you ask as Daemon and his opponent charge at each other on horseback. The crash as the lance hit lands and breaks is unsettling. Daemon’s opponent flies from his saddle, landing hard on the ground.
“True,” Rhaenyra agrees. Daemon tosses the broken half of his lance, jumping to the ground and drawing his sword. “Next year I plan to find Daemon a real challenge.” Daemon stalks in a circle around his opponent, waiting for the knight to regain his footing and draw his weapon. The knight recovers, going on the offensive to swipe his sword at Daemon.
You snort in amusement. “Are the rest of the knights really that bad?” Daemon easily dances around blows, not even bothering to waste his energy by parrying them. He’s toying with the other knight. Letting him exhaust and embarrass himself in the arena before Daemon ends the fight. You see the ghost of a smirk play on Daemon’s lips as he tosses his helmet to the ground.
“No, they’re actually quite skilled,” Rhaenyra replies. The knight’s attacks become harder and more calculated. Daemon parries them with practiced ease. You see the knight lean in as he gets closer to say something to Daemon. They’re too soft for anyone else to hear, but Daemon clearly heard them. His smirk drops and his gaze darkens.
He’s ending this now. Daemon pushes the knight back, swinging a hard blow with his sword.
“Daemon is just….” The knight scrambles to parry the swing, but the blow is hard enough to dislodge his grip. Your eyes widen in shock, Daemon is ending more than this fight. You instantly snap your eyes shut, but you can still hear Rhaenyra’s words in time with Daemon’s strikes.
“That.”
“Much.”
“Better.”
The knight’s screams stop with the final blow. You open your eyes to peak at the scene in front of you. The knight is unmoving on the ground. His armor dented in. His sword hand on one side of the arena. His head at the other.
“I think I’m gonna be sick,” you mutter.
“A Targaryen tourney without at least one death would be considered boring.”
Your eyes land on your husband. He’s looming over the headless body of the knight. Daemon spits on the corpse before walking away.
Even Rhaenyra is shocked, but regardless, the tournament continues on throughout the late afternoon. The other fights are nowhere near as violent as Daemon’s round. Daemon is eerily calm as he wins his rounds with brutal efficiency. He doesn’t kill another opponent, but he makes light work of each one.
After the stadium clears out, you walk with the maids back to your chambers as Rhaenyra left to greet some of the noble houses who haven’t visited Kings Landing since the last tournament. When you get back, you ask the maids to draw a bath and you gather up Daemon’s favorite soaps and oils. You didn’t realize just how serious a tournament was. After seeing that brutality, you were just relieved that Daemon was coming back safe.
The doors to your chambers shuts loudly, and you turn to see Daemon still in his armor. “Daemon-” He cuts you off with a kiss, sweeping you off your feet.
“I need you.” Daemon says, pulling at your gown as he struggles to unlace the back. Growling in frustration, he tears the fabric.
“Daemon! What’s gotten into you?” You yelp. “At least take off that damn armor first!”
“Fuck,” he swears, backing away from you as he begins slipping off his armor piece by piece. You reach forward to help him.
Once he’s rid himself of the armor, Daemon picks you up. You wrap your legs around his waist instinctively, and he grinds against you. He kisses and bites at your neck like a starved man. Whimpers and moans fall from your lips as you tug roughly at his hair. “Daemon, wait,” you say breathlessly.
“Hmm,” he rumbles as he pulls back.
“If you keep going, it’s going to ruin my plans,” you whine. “I wanted to spoil you. Please get in the bath before it gets cold.”
Daemon follows your gaze to the tub and sees your handiwork–candles meticulously placed around a steaming bath. The table next to the tub piled high with luxurious oils, wine, and fruits. “You did this for me?” He asks. You nod vigorously and he captures your lips in a heated kiss. “Gods above, you never fail to surprise me.”
You giggle as Daemon carries you to the tub and you both sink into the water. Daemon moans as the water eases over his sore muscles. You shift so that Daemon is leaning back against your chest and begin meticulously scrubbing his body. “You’re so perfect,” he groans as you massage at the knots in his shoulders.
You hum in response, focusing on the knots. You find yourself softly singing as you work, and you glance down to see Daemon nodding off. Moving to work on his hair, you gently detangle his braids and massage the soap into his scalp.
“Love,” you begin, “what happened in that first fight?” You feel Daemon’s body stiffen against yours.
“Nothing.”
“Are you sure? It didn’t seem like nothing.” You answer.
“It. Was. Nothing.” He’s definitely hiding something.
“No it wasn’t,” you insist. “He said something and you lost it. What did he say?”
“It doesn’t matter.” Daemon’s tone is short, but it’s clear he’s still upset over whatever that knight said.
“Yes it does, just te-”
“He called you a whore!” Daemon shouts, whipping around in the tub. “That spineless bastard called you a whore, and asked if he could take a turn after you finished eating Rhaenyra’s cunt on the balcony.”
You blink. Shocked. You assumed it was bad, but didn’t realize it would be quite that vulgar. “And you killed him for it?”
“If I could go back, I wouldn’t kill him,” Daemon bares his teeth as he hisses out the words.
You raise a brow in response.
“I would cut him apart piece by piece until he begged for death,” Daemon growls. “And when he’s on the brink of death, I would call for the maester to heal him so I could do it all over again.”
“Fuck,” you swear. Hearing your husband’s bloodthirst shouldn’t be this hot. Your breath quickens, and you shift.
Daemon notices your sudden shift in demeanor. “I see,” he grins. “I kill a man for disrespecting you, and all you can think about is my cock.”
You whine, desperate for Daemon to touch you. After he and Rhaenyra left you wanting this morning, you’ve been on edge all day. Daemon stands up, water sloshing from the tub as he climbs out and pours a glass of wine. He sips a mouthful before leaning down to kiss you. You moan as the wine hits your tongue. Daemon pulls back, popping a grape in your mouth before picking you from the tub and tossing you on the bed.
“I’ll just have to give my sweet girl exactly what she wants,” Daemon says. He drips wine across your body, lapping up the drops as he follows the trail with his tongue. Daemon knocks back the rest of his wine, placing the chalice on the dresser. He settles between your legs, wrapping his arms around your thighs as he dives into your cunt.
Daemon’s tongue swipes broad strokes across your cunt, lapping greedily. He suckles at your clit, and you cry out in pleasure as his hums vibrate against you.
“What is this?”
You try to shoot up to greet Rhaenyra, but Daemon’s arms have you locked in place. “Rha-Rhae-fuck-Rhaenyra” You struggle to speak as you feel your orgasm building. Your eyes roll back as Daemon moves an arm to slide two fingers into your weeping cunt. Moans fall from your lips as you buck into his mouth and hands.
Just before you climax, Daemon pulls back. “My queen,” he greets as Rhaenyra leans in for a kiss.
“I take it our girl couldn’t wait?”
Daemon grins. “She never does.”

NOTE: This was supposed to just be smut, but I got carried away. Anyway, hope you enjoyed bloodthirsty Daemon, I know I did. Next part coming Friday or Saturday night (and yes, it’s going to pick up RIGHT where we left off). I have two delicious requests in the works: 1) a Feyd Rautha request (featuring the iconic darlings), and 2) a Daemon request (featuring some angst and steamy make-up sex). ~ Lacie <3

she’s ours
Tumblr media
pairing: art donaldson x reader x patrick zweig summary: you meet art through friends at one of his matches, and he immediately becomes infatuated, until patrick comes along and insists art share you with him. word count: 3.8k warnings: 18+!!!! smut, choking, threesome, m + f oral note: first time writing in a while so might be a bit rusty, go easy on me pls xx
Art is livid. His cheeks are flushed, not due to you making him blush, but because you're standing ten feet away, stroking the cheek of his best friend. He grits his teeth, fists balled up by his side. You're his. He saw you first, you're his. He wants to jump forward, push Patrick aside, and push his lips to yours, but he can't. His feet won't move, glued in place as he watches the smirk form on Patrick's face. Art knows exactly what that smirk means, he's seen it so many times before. Patrick leans forward, his lips mere inches from yours now, his hands finding themselves on your hips. Art's feet still won't move, his nails now digging into his palms, his chest getting tighter with every second that Patrick's lips move closer to yours.
Patrick's lips meet yours, his hands caressing your back as his tongue slides into your mouth. The music is loud, and distracts from the moan that escapes you. He pulls you closer, your bodies grinding together with the beat. Art still can't believe his eyes, his best friend making out with his girl. Patrick moves his lips from yours and attaches them to your neck, feathering you with sloppy kisses and the occasional bite of your skin. His eyes open, seeing Art across the room, a smirk reappears on Patrick's lips, he knows exactly what's going on in Art's head. He can read him like a book. Patrick whispers something in your ear, Art can't tell by your expression what he's saying to you. You nod your head to Patrick, he pecks your earlobe and spins you around, towards Art. Patrick's hands stay firmly on your hips, as he nods his head towards Art, motioning him over.
The red on Art's cheeks couldn't be any darker, but his fists relax when you smile sweetly and nod towards him. Art's feet finally listen to his brain, moving him slowly towards the two of you as Patrick's lips attack your neck once again. Your head falls back onto his shoulder, hips swaying against him, as Art arrives in front of you both. He's perfectly still now, the blush forming on his cheeks again as he watches your bodies move together. Patrick's hands leave your body for the first time in what feels like hours, pulling Art towards you, placing his hands on your waist as Patrick's return to your hips. You giggle up to Art, he can barely look you in the eyes as he eventually finds the rhythm, all three bodies pressed against each other, one hand of yours on Patrick's head as he continues leaving marks on your exposed neck, the other pulling Art's head towards yours.
His lips are softer than Patrick's, he feels more innocent against your mouth. One of his hands moves to cup your cheek, the other planted exactly where Patrick left it. He tongues your bottom lip, asking for permission to enter, which you of course oblige. You feel him groan into your mouth, as Patrick whispers "Good girl," into your ear.
Earlier That Day
Despite not playing tennis yourself, all of your friends did, your roommate introduced you to her teammates a few weeks into your first semester at Stanford. Meaning you spent most of your free time watching their matches and hanging out with the tennis team. One Saturday, you're dragged along to watch a men's singles tournament by your roommate. Sitting in the stands with most of the girls on the team, you hear a name announced you haven't heard before. "Representing Stanford, Art Donaldson!" The stands erupt as a blonde boy walks onto the court, leaning forward as he takes position. "Why haven't I been introduced to him?" You ask your roommate, your eyes not leaving the blonde boy as he lines up his ball with the racket and serves. She laughs at your obvious attraction to Art. "He usually spends all of his time playing tennis, which is why he's so good. But he just hasn't been at any of the hangouts you've been at."
You'd learnt a lot about tennis in the last few months, and god, he was good. His blonde locks become slick with sweat to his forehead underneath his backwards cap, you watch him pour everything into the game. He scores the winner as a brunette jumps up from a few seats ahead, "Yes, Donaldson!" He screams, running down the bleachers to celebrate with Art. He's the only one celebrating on the court not in Stanford tennis gear. "Who's he?" You ask your roommate, she smirks and rolls her eyes at you. "I think his name's Patrick, he's Art's best friend, he doesn't go here though, I don't think."
You all eventually pour out of the bleachers, heading to the one bar near campus. Sharing drinks and laughs with your friends, your eyes fixate on the door as the tennis boys flood in. Art follows behind, locking eyes with you as his friends occupy the empty seats on your table. His cheeks flush as you smile at him, he sits down at the other end of the table, his eyes only removing themselves from you when he's handed a beer. "Congrats, Donaldson." One of the boys says, patting him on the back. "Nice to finally see you off the court, Art." One of the girls laughs. He shakes his head and sips his beer. Your eyes don't leave him, taking in every detail of his face. Your roommate hits your arm, "Stop being a creep." She laughs and drags you up to the bar. You both order another drink. "He's just so hot," You admit to your roommate. She laughs again as you both return to your table, sitting down you notice Art has moved, to sit on the chair next to yours.
"I don't think we've met," He starts, smirk growing on his face. "I think you're right." You return, as your roommate joins the group conversation, leaving you and Art to talk privately. "I must be, because there's no way I could forget your pretty face." He's confident, yet shy, taking a sip of his beer. You feel yourself start to blush. You share names as he asks, leaning forward, "Do you play tennis?" You almost feel embarrassed saying no, like you were somehow failing a test you didn't know you were taking. "I just hang out with everyone who does." He hums, shuffling his chair closer to yours. "It feels like everything in my life is about tennis, it's nice to meet someone who doesn't live in that world too." You smile at him, noticing yourself moving closer towards Art as well.
The moment is interrupted by an unfamiliar voice. "Aren't you going to introduce me to this beautiful girl you're talking to, Artie?" You didn't quite realise how close your faces were to each other into you move in unison to where the voice came from. Art rolls his eyes and leans back as the brunette from the match stands in front of you. He has a shit eating grin across his face as he places his beer on the table, grabbing a chair and sitting on it backwards. Leaning his arms on the chair's back, he says, "Well?" Art shakes his head and introduces the two of you. Extending your hand for him to shake, his calloused hand takes yours, bringing it to his mouth as he places a kiss on the back of your hand. You feel the blush grow up to your cheeks again. The three of you engage in conversation for some time, getting to know each other. Both boys on either side of you leaning in, drinking in every word you say as the night progresses.
You're pulled out of conversation by your roommate calling your name. "C'mon, we're going home, are you coming?" You look between both boys, smirks plastered across their faces. Your roommate only laughs and rolls her eyes at you. "Get her home safe." Both boys nod their heads, promising to look after you as the rest of your friends leave. "And then there were three," Patrick says, you laugh and suggest another drink. The boys nod their head, following you to the bar. Art's hand touches yours, not purposefully, as you wait for your drinks. You both look at each other, blushing. Patrick smirking beside you, as his arm reaches around your waist. The tension is growing between the three of you. Art eyes Patrick, tucking a stray piece of hair behind your ear. You laugh and return to your table, putting down your drink and excusing yourself to the bathroom.
"She's mine." Art leans over to tell Patrick. He smirks in response. "You met her today too, right?" Art nods slowly. "Then, I'd say it's fair game." Art rolls his eyes and leans backwards on his chair. "C'mon, Art, I don't mind sharing with you." Patrick says through signature smirk. "Don't make this difficult, Patrick. I think I could see myself really liking her." Art's almost begging his friend. Patrick laughs, "You know this only makes it hotter for me, Artie." You return to the table, your smile cutting through the boys tension as you sip your drink. "Miss me?" You joke, the boys eyes deepen as they look at you. "So what if I did?" Art half smiles, leaning towards you once more. Patrick looks smug, "I have an idea."
The club Patrick suggests is only a short walk, his arm slipping around your waist to guide you as Art sulks next to you both, his eyes only lighting up whenever his hand brushes against yours. The three of you grab a drink and head straight to the dance floor once arriving. Your hips sway to the music as the boys stand close by, both sets of eyes not leaving your body for even a second. Your eyes close as you feel the bass run through your body. Art heads to the bathroom before an arm slips around your body. "Fuck off, pretty boy. She's ours." Your eyes open and see Patrick, realising the arm around you was neither Art or Patrick. The man lifts up his arms in defence and backs away. You can feel how wet your underwear became from Patrick's words. "You're willing to share me, huh?" You ask the brunette. He looks down to you, "I am. Art's not too keen on sharing with me." Your hand moves up to Patrick's cheek, caressing it lightly. "Well, I guess we'll just have to convince him."
⁺˚⋆。°✩₊✩°。⋆˚⁺
You moan into Art's mouth at Patrick's words. "Such a good girl." He repeats. Your body grinding up against both of the boys, Art's leg dipping in between yours. Instinctively you begin rocking back and forth on his thigh, more moans falling into Art's mouth. You detach your lips, leaning up and placing his earlobe between your teeth, tugging lightly. "Take me somewhere," You whisper in his ear, his eyes widening. Art leans over to his friend and repeats your words. "Well, let's go then." Patrick grabs your hand as you grab Art's, following each other out of the club doors. You can barely keep up with the speed in which Patrick is marching to Art's dorm room, Patrick silently thanking him for having a single room. Patrick's lips attach themselves to yours as Art rushes to find his key to the building, he eventually does, pulling Patrick away from your kiss as you follow the boys up the stairs to Art's room.
Once again, Art fumbles with his keys in the door. Allowing Patrick to pull your lips onto his again, the door opens as Patrick pushes your body into the room, lips never leaving yours. He sits you down on the side of the bed, Art locks the door and sits beside you. You pull him in to join the kiss. Tongues and lips slide over each other as the three of you make out, hands exploring each other's bodies. You lay back, removing your jacket as the boys continue kissing over your legs. You remove your shirt next, your red lacy bra now exposed. "Well, now this isn't fair." The boys stop kissing to look at you, if the tents in both their pants weren't already nearly popping out of their boxers, they were now, at the sight of your lack of clothing. Both of their shirts are immediately discarded as they race to your chest. Art undoing your bra as Patrick's mouth slips around your nipple, the bra is tossed across the room as Art follows Patrick's lead. Your head flings back and for the first time tonight your moan isn't hidden in someone's mouth. The boys both smirk at each other as they cover your chest in kisses, licks and bites. Their lips meet again on your chest, sloppier this time, sitting up as Patrick pulls you into their lips.
The boys shimmy out of their pants, leaving them both in just their boxers. Patrick removes himself from the kiss, to grab your skirt and pull it down your legs. Once removed, you move to straddle Art's lap. His hands moving to the recently exposed skin of your ass. He can feel your wetness through both of your underwear as you grind against him. "God, you're so wet for us already." He whispers in your ear, Patrick slips his hand between you and Art to feel your underwear. Sitting down next to you as he licks his fingers. "You're right, Art. She's soaked and we haven't even touched her." You blush at the boys words and hide your face in Art's shoulder. Patrick lifts your face up by your chin, putting his wet fingers inside your mouth. You begin to suck. "Don't get shy on us now, babygirl." Art says between kisses to your jaw and neck, his hands guiding your body to continue grinding against him.
You push Art's body further up the bed, pulling his underwear down his legs as he shuffles. His head lays on the pillow, gasping at the cold air that hits his shaft. You position yourself on your knees above his cock as Patrick moves behind you, removing your underwear, lifting up each ankle to discard the lacy panties. Your hands move to Art's cock, slowly stroking his length as his arms move behind his head. Patrick starts circling your clit from behind you, profanities leaving your mouth before he pushes your head down on to his best friend's member. You smile as you open your mouth, taking every inch down your throat. Spit and pre-cum spill over the edges of your mouth down to Art's thighs, moans leave his lips as places his hand around your hair and guides your head. Patrick positions his head underneath you, pulling you down onto his mouth. His tongue explores your folds, licking up and down your slit as his hands wrap around your body.
Art could have came there and then, the sight of you choking on his cock as his best friend ate you out. He was so angry about the idea of having to share you, but he and Patrick had shared everything his entire life. And god, you looked so hot in between the two boys. He pulls your head away from his member, breathing heavily as he leans over to kiss your sloppy mouth. You grind back and forth on Patrick's face, filling Art's mouth with moans. "Does Patrick's mouth make you feel so good, baby?" Art asks, pulling your head back by your hair. You can feel Patrick smirk into your cunt. You can't even speak, only replying with a moan. "I asked you a question." Art's voice is sterner now, pulling your hair even harder. "Y-yes, my God, yes. His tongue feels fucking amazing." You almost scream, the mixture of physical sensation with how hot Art looks while talking to you like this. "That's a good girl."
He lets go of your hair and pulls you off of Patrick, keeping you on your hands and knees. "Don't you think Patrick deserves some attention too, babygirl?" Art sits cross legged in front of you, stroking your face. Patrick stands up, wiping his chin and smiling at his friend. Art leans over to him and pulls his underwear down his legs, before moving to kneel in front of Patrick, motioning you over with his finger. Art leans his head forward to Patrick's cock, looking up for reassurance, Patrick nods. You kneel next to Art, as you watch him take the brunette's cock in his mouth. You lean over towards Art's mouth, the two of you sharing Patrick's dick as his head flies back and his hands fly to both of your heads. You take all of Patrick in your mouth, just as you did Art, as he stands up next to his friend. Your hand immediately grasping hold of him too. The boys kiss passionately as you go back and forth on their shafts. Your eyes well up as you keep sucking them both. "She looks so pretty on her knees for us both, doesn't she, Art?" Patrick strokes your cheek. "So pretty that she deserves fucking, don't you think, Patrick?" Art wipes your tears.
You pull them both out of your mouth, Patrick lifting you to your feet and throwing you on the bed. "On your knees, princess, you look so pretty like that." Patrick orders, doing as you're told, you flip over onto your hands and knees. Before Patrick can argue, Art is positioned behind you. His dick in hand, hitting your clit repeatedly. Patrick raises his eyebrow at Art. "She's mine. I'm fucking her first." Art responds through gritted teeth, grabbing your hips and pulling you back into him. You moan at his words, grinding your ass against him. Patrick laughs, and sits on his knees in front of you. His cock rubbing against your lips, you open your mouth to allow him to enter.
"Wait. I want to hear her as I fill her up." Art demands. Patrick retracts from you, never having seen this side of Art. "Go on then, pretty boy. Show our girl what you've got." Art spits on his hand, covering his cock in his spit as he places the tip at your entry. You're already moaning, begging him to fuck you. He slides in slowly to start, allowing you to adjust to his size. Gasping, your nails dig into Patrick's thighs, he kisses your head in return. "C'mon, Donaldson, fuck the poor girl, she's begging you." Art's grip on your hips tighten as he begins to pound into you, thrusting his hips as he pulls you back into him. The noises that leave your mouth are ungodly, only making Art smirk and fuck you even harder. Patrick takes this as his cue and inserts himself into your mouth, the speed in which Art is fucking you pushes you back and forth on Patrick's cock, as he too begins to thrust himself into your mouth. Art's hand moves from your hip to reach underneath you, circling your clit as he continues to fuck you.
Patrick moans from the vibrations of yours on his cock, stroking your hair as he fucks your mouth. Your legs are shaking, thinking you'd fall onto your stomach if the boys weren't keeping you steady. "Are you gonna come all over Art's pretty dick, princess?" Patrick asks, slipping out of your mouth as he grabs you by the throat. "Fuck, I-I, yes! I'm so close," The words slip from your mouth almost as loud as the moans that follow, Art quickens the pace of his fingers circling you. Inching you closer and closer, he leans down and attacks your neck and back in kisses. Patrick leans down and kisses all over your face as they both whisper words of encouragement. "Come all over me baby, I wanna feel you come all over my cock." Art whispers in your ear, sending you over the edge. You ride out your high as Art keeps fucking you, pulling out only when your breathing calms. You collapse onto your stomach. "Don't get too comfy, sweetheart, it's my turn now."
He flips your body over, lifting your legs up to his shoulders, immediately filling you up. You scream out as Patrick wastes no time, fucking you deep and fast from the get go. Art sits to the side of your head, turning you toward him to take him in your mouth. His hand leans over your body, circling your clit once more. Patrick can't wipe the smile off his face. Keeping hold of your ankles, peppering them in kisses as he fucks you, hard. Art leans over, kissing his friend, moans being deafened into kisses. Pulling away from Patrick, grasping the sheets in panic. He pulls out of your mouth, stroking his cock as he carries on rubbing your clit. "Fuck, I'm gonna come," All you can do is smile up at Art, your face wet, covered in spit. He groans at the sight of you smiling up at him, that you're enjoying being used by both boys. It sends him over the edge, finishing all over your face, adding even more shine to it. You smile and lick any that landed on your lips. "Holy fuck-" Patrick can't even speak, pulling out of you and finishing all over your stomach. Standing up to clean himself off, Art moves to replace his hand with his mouth.
"Fuck, I- I can't take any more," You plead, squirming. Patrick reassures you, "Yes you can. Once more," He wipes your face with the towel he used to clean himself, kissing you after. Art inserts two fingers and his tongue moves swiftly over your clit. "Don't you want to come on Art's pretty face, baby? He's begging you for it." Patrick kisses down your jaw to your neck, moving down to your nipples. Propping yourself up on your elbows, looking down to Art. He's already looking up at you through his lashes, moaning out his name as he sends you over the edge again. He kisses up your body, laying next to you with Patrick. The three of you lay there on the twin bed, steadying your breath and kissing each others bodies.
You all help each other change and clean up, laying back down on the bed together. The boys in just their boxers, your underwear and a Stanford tennis shirt cover your body. You lay between them, both their heads nuzzled into your shoulders. "See, it wasn't so bad sharing with me, was it Art?" Patrick jokes, sitting up onto his elbow. Art covers your shoulder in kisses. "I still would have been preferred to have you all to myself." He whispers in your ear, making you giggle. "You're selfish, and a liar!" Patrick returns, "You cannot lie to me and say that wasn't the best sex of your life." Art hasn't stopped kissing your shoulder. "Well, I never said it wasn't. But, she's mine." Patrick laughs and lays back down. "Ours."

And if request Art and Patrick threesome during a camping trip then i’m the issue
anon!! how dare you ?!??!! unacceptable—thank u for 1.7k🫂. (fwb!patrick, fwb!art, handjob, etc. mdni.)
summer was always a haze with the three of you. spending each night in a stuffy motel as you traveled vast distances for tournaments, leisure, or whatever needed tending to, got tiring—fast.
with school out of the way, you made the most of your free hours with your two best friends. but now, after two months of back-to-back games on a multitude of continents, you were all in need of a break. and according to patrick, a forest camping trip was as good as any—sexier, too, whatever that meant.
the roadtrip was an endeavor of its own, patrick’s jeep he’d gotten for his 17th birthday 3 years ago transporting the trio of you out of the suburbs of town into the outskirted woods.
and well, you may or may not have been intentional when letting them make out with you, grope, pet, and bite the whole way to the wooded mountains outside of town. however, their greedy hands were always stopped just above the golden crest of your belt. annoyingly, you’d push them off of you and hop into the passenger seat, leaving them hard and frustrated. “c’mon,” patrick groaned your name. “what’s going on, man?” he’d beg, but you’d only shrug. “just not feeling it right now, that’s all.”
but finally, when the sky was making its daily transition from enlightened to dusk, the jeep was parked in a clearing within the forest and the back was opened up. the seats were pushed down to allow for all of your car-camping gear to be set up: a thin mattress laying down the floor, pillows, throw blankets, chargers and other necessities all strewn about the stuffy car.
and after dinner (leftover wingstop from the drive), the three of you retired to your pillows, the boys’ bodies on either side of you, legs tangled in with yours.
finding serenity in the warmth of the blankets and pillows and man-sized cuddles sandwiching you, plus the owl’s call and nearly audible twinkling of the stars in un-light-polluted night sky, you found yourself latching onto a dream of a US open trophy. but, all your hopes were cut short by a soft pair of lips sticking onto your neck, sucking on your jugular.
another mouth found its way onto your wrist, kissing up your arm til it found your shoulder, at which it then moved from the blade to your shut eyelids, finally to nipping at your earlobe. you knew that had to be patrick, him never being one to stay put in one place for long.
art was needier, kisses on your neck intensifying as his middle grinded up against your thigh, whimpers leaking through desperate nips and wet pecks. “please, can you touch me?” art whispered in your ear, and you found your hand gravitating towards his waistband. “‘course, baby.”
“thank you, thanks so much,” art muttered as he felt your hand wrap around the base of his cock, starting slow as you began to pump and then sliding up to circle your thumb around the achy weep of his tip. patrick whined, feeling slightly neglected as he indulged in the lovely sounds you were pulling from his blonde friend. you were quick to move your hand from art’s hair to patrick’s need, sliding past the confines of his sweats and boxers.
you stroked them both with equal vigor, speeding up and slowing down at the same time for both boys. you knew what you were doing, and so did they. somehow, the synchrony, the knowing that the two best friends were feeling equally as good together, everything, made it so much hotter, and that much more erotic.
the best friends locked eyes with each other, nodding with that look in their eye. there was a mutual understanding between the two mindless, whimpering, males, and all it took was an unspoken three, two, one… and they were spilling their loads into their boxers and onto your hands with obscenely loud, lost in the night moans.
pulling both your arms out of the pants of your best friends, you licked both clean before sliding under the thin fleece throw blanket barely covering half of each of the boys’s bodies. “night night.” you bid sweetly, as if you hadn’t just given the pair the strongest orgasm they’d experienced in a long time.
“yeah, night, baby.” “goodnight.”

Hitting Fairways and Greens
A challenge all golfers face is hitting fairways and greens. My young friend Alex is playing in a school tournament today. Tumblr media
The Westeros Open is the biggest and most prestigious tennis tournament in the country.
Anyone who wants to be someone in the sport aims to qualify for it.
For you, it is everything. You have devoted your entire life to tennis. It started as something that stemmed from your parents' neglect. Rich folks who signed their young daughter up for extensive tennis lessons just so they can be free of her and galivant off to wherever.
You had sat there, staring at your shiny, brand-new white tennis shoes. Holding your unused top-of-the-line racket. Hair kept away from your face with a headband that still smelled like the store.
Mostly left alone by your family, you gathered your strength, and dragged your weak eight-year-old legs across the tennis court day in and day out.
Through the years, you found yourself. You found home, and you gave everything you had to make sure you would never lose it.
As luck would have it, you found romance along the way in Art Donaldson, who became your coach after your previous one decided to quit. He used to be a player, until he fell out of love with the game, and chose to coach up and coming players instead.
You had been wary of getting involved with him, but eventually you couldn’t resist. He turned out to be the perfect boyfriend - caring, sweet, attentive to your every need. He became your partner in both tennis and in life. Truly, you couldn’t want for anything else.
You shouldn’t.
So why does it feel like there is something missing?
And why is that void one that only Aemond Targaryen can fill?
Tumblr media
The gigantic poster propped up in the inner courtyard of the country club lets everyone know that your next qualifying match in the Westeros Open is against none other than Helaena Targaryen.
Your image looms up to around twenty feet, with Helaena’s lithe figure on the other side. The perfectionist in you can’t help but scrutinise the details in your expression and your form. Was that really what you looked like mid-serve? You laugh dryly, feeling silly at your misdirected concern.
You like Helaena, and she’s always been cordial to you outside of your matches. The issue lies with her more brash and calculating brother and coach.
Something - or rather someone - shuffles behind you. Close enough that the hairs on the back of your neck stand on attention.
"I wish I could say that you look good up there, but we did once promise not to lie to each other.”
Think of the devil and he shall appear. You don't have to turn around to know who it is.
Aemond fucking Targaryen. Once at his prime, known for his freely expressing his passion and rage on the court, earning him the title 'the bad boy of tennis'. It was this drive, this relentlessness, that propelled his game. Unfortunately, it also served to be his downfall. After a few years as the sport's #1 male player, his career came to an end after an off-court altercation with an opponent that took his eye.
Now he is the coach of one of your top rivals and upcoming match opponent, his sister Helaena.
Which is why it should come as no surprise to you that he has made it his mission to get under your skin, with all his unwarranted flirty remarks, constant staring, and how he tirelessly interacts with everything you post on social media.
It used to be tame, by his standards anyway, with things like, ‘You need to work on that backhand’ or ‘I’m guessing Donaldson doesn’t train you well enough.’
But then the messages took a different turn. You once posted a picture of you in a fancy, revealing gown when you attended the annual gala, and he responded with, ‘It’s easy to see that all your training has paid off, ace.’
You chocked it all up to playful aggression. He’s just trying to get you to lower your guard, and distract you. You knew better than to look too much into the apparent interest he gives you.
He is notorious for being a playboy, after all. Dirty blonde hair perfectly tousled, designer tracksuits he wears with such snobbishness, a presence that can command an entire room. You’ve grown to heavily dislike the seemingly permanent smug sneer on his lips, and how he sometimes treats others like they’re nothing but gum stuck on the soles of his fancy tennis shoes.
A handsome rogue who possesses a lot of talent and who is aware of his status as a hot commodity can be dangerous indeed. If he can say that Helaena Targaryen’s best opponent is nothing but another notch on his bedpost, then he will never let that live down.
More importantly, you are already spoken for. Aemond knows this - not that he cares - but whatever he thinks about your relationship doesn’t matter.
“Aemond.” You don’t turn to face him, continuing to scrutinise the gigantic poster. “Is that the best you got?”
He shrugs, positioning himself right in your line of sight, clearly demanding more attention. “You don’t just look good. You look good enough to fucking eat, ace. Too bad about the shitty attitude.”
Hot then cold, nice then nasty. Aemond will never change. Rolling your eyes, you say, “I thought I told you not to call me that. Shouldn’t you be somewhere else training your sister? She’s gonna need it.”
He steps closer, invading your space. You look him directly in the eye like you’re squaring up with an opponent. This has always been your dynamic. Neither one backing down, neither one ever really dealing a blow.
Just constant dizzying electricity.
Sooner or later, it will all come to a head. Whether it will be your fault or his, the jury is still out on that.
“Oh, I’m sure she will,” he patronises, his deep blue almost violet eye sparkling. On the opposite was his glass eye, only adding to his intimidating nature. He hadn’t opted for one that resembled his real eye, but rather a hazy white apparatus, making him appear ghoulish, almost ghostlike. Nestled in his left eye socket, framed by a faded maroon gash, it made him look every bit like the charismatic rogue of tennis that he is known to be. “Shouldn’t you be somewhere receiving instruction from Donaldson? Not that you’ll get much out of it.”
“Art and I are on top of our training, not that it’s any of your damn business. You should concern yourself with your sister’s game.”
“If only that were actually true, ace, but unfortunately I believe that your sweet Art wastes too much of his fucking time being on top of you.”
“Fuck off, Targaryen,” you respond, trying to push the allure of his scent out of your mind. Pungent cologne and cigarette smoke, a blend that you’ve come to associate only with him. “Stay out of my business, and quit messaging me.”
“You like how we talk.”
“Trust me, I don’t.”
“Does Donaldson know?” Fully aware that Art has never had a liking for him, he knows that will hit a nerve.
Your face falls, like you’ve been caught in the act. Even though you've done nothing wrong. Occasionally caving in and responding to Aemond’s messages surely isn’t crossing the line. What started out as a couple of offhand fuck offs from your end turned into actually sharing private jokes about the other matches and training and - heavens forbid - small talk about the goddamn weather.
You’ve come to know that his favourite colour is green. Not the neon of a tennis ball, but a bluish-tinted pine.
Not that it matters.
Encounters such as this one also don’t mean anything. Never mind however much you find him attractive. Who wouldn’t? You have eyes, and you’re only human. Nothing more to it.
Never mind how, some nights, in what can only be construed as momentary states of delirium, you have imagined him in Art’s place.
Never mind just how much he gets under your skin, like no one else can, and how you can’t admit to yourself that you might actually like it.
Oh, you might actually be making yourself sick at all these thoughts.
“There’s nothing for him to know.” You step to the side, indicating that you want to walk away. But he has you cornered and you both know it.
He smirks, “Keep telling yourself that, ace. But you can’t deny - ” He steps close again. He suddenly tilts your face toward him with one hand, but you shake your head and his fingers lose their hold. “ - this. Us.”
Damn him. And damn the shiver that just ran up your spine.
You stand still, entranced by the look he’s giving you. Trick or not, Aemond sure does have a way of looking at you as if he sees you for who you really are. Not the tennis prodigy. Not the public personality. You remain a shell of that broken kid that poured everything she had into this sport, much like he had, only to come out the other end still not whole, still searching for something inexplicably out of reach. And he sees just that - just you.
You feel like Art holds you up on a pedestal, not seeing the flaws that make you who you are. But you’ve always been happy to play the perfect girlfriend.
Until Aemond.
But he’s too much. Too forward, too brash, too intoxicating. You can never know what he’s going to do next. You can’t like him. You have to be certain that you don’t.
But then again… love and hate have always been two sides of the same coin.
He whispers, clearly pleased with the effect he has on you, “Match point, ace.”
Match point. You could have him. He could have you. He makes it evident that the next move is all yours. “Don’t go out of bounds, Targaryen,” you warn him lowly.
“What if I want to?”
You have him. He has you.
And you… have Art.
Clearing your throat, and your head, you finally step back. His head snaps up to follow you, disappointment evident on his face.
“See you around, Targaryen.” You spin on your heel, walking away, immediately feeling lighter. Emptier, feeling like your body begs to drift closer to him, two equal magnets.
“Ace,” he calls to you, walking after you when you don’t turn around. “Wait a second,” he reappears right in front of you, effectively halting your stride.
You grumble hastily, “God, you really have a space issue, don’t you, Aemond?”
“Meet me in the courtyard gardens,” he says, a new intensity lacing his voice, “tonight. After dinner. Or whenever you can. Just - ”
“No.”
“Come on, ace.” His tone is insistent, with no trace of his usual bravado and cockiness. “I think… I need to tell you something.”
Part of you wants to cave in, and just agree to whatever it is that he’s proposing, but that nagging voice in the back of your mind is adamant that it would not be right. What would Art think? But what if Aemond truly just wants to tell you something?
“So tell me now.”
His jaw clenches hard, and you can’t help but admire the taut edges of his face. “No, I want to do this, just you and me. When we’ll be alone - ”
“Aemond - ” you start to shake your head, trying hard to come up with a refusal that he will actually register.
“Donaldson doesn’t need to know,” he almost pleads. “This is between you and me, ace. You just have to hear me out.”
You take a deep breath, unable to understand just what it is he means. “If it’s something I have to hide from my boyfriend, then it’s not gonna happen. You have to see just how messed up that is, Targaryen.”
Either he can’t hear you, or he just does not want to accept your response. “I’ll wait for you. Right around midnight then, ace? Should give you plenty of time to sneak out.”
Before you can say no, again, he hastily plants a kiss on your cheek. Your eyes flutter shut at the sensation, in surprise and perhaps pleasure at the softness of his lips, and when you open them once more, he is no longer flooding your space.
You spy him entering a set of glass doors, leaving you there stunned.

Aemond kicks at another pebble, the sound momentarily breaking the silence in the gardens.
He’d checked his watch just seconds before, the face of it spitting on what remains of his eagerness.
Twelve fucking fifteen.
Either you just got held up by your whiney rat-faced boyfriend, or you’re a no-show.
Aemond doesn’t know which one is worse. He did not know what he was expecting in the first place. Did he actually think that you would do as he says? You never were good at following orders, much less those from someone whom you likely view as something of a nuisance.
Is that really what you see him as? Isn’t there something more at play here?
Something that keeps Aemond up at night, when he can no longer deny that it is not because he dislikes you that you plague his thoughts, but because he admires you. He does admire you, he sees no shame in admitting that.
As a tennis player. As a competitor. Anyone who feigns ignorance at your insane potential would just be lying to themselves.
As a woman? A… partner? No. It has to be no, doesn’t it? You hate him, you make it clear now and again. You disagree with him, challenge his views, point out his flaws. Surely, he can’t be attracted to you in a way that commands his heart. You are beautiful, he doesn’t deny this, but so were the dozens of other girls he had run through.
Each time he watches you perform your signature backhand stroke, with that sensual growl escaping your lips and the lewd grace with which your body bends, Aemond feels his sanity slipping away.
You drive him crazy, but he can't be crazy about you.
The only reason he asked you to meet him, is because he wants to propose that he replace Art as your coach. Helaena has expressed that she wants to retire, and focus on some other creative pursuits. Something insignificant to Aemond, that he can’t remember what it was exactly. A pottery business? A fucking flower shop? He doesn’t care to know.
It’s perfect, he thinks, because your game is superior anyway. It’s what first got his attention, and now he can take part in your process. He can direct you, shape you. He can do so much better than Art Donaldson, and he’s sure you know this too.
Maybe then you might actually open up to him the way you opened up to Art. With your absence tonight, it dawns on him that he might actually have to resort to other measures. Did he seriously think he would be able to simply reason with you about this?
He sits for another half-hour on a bench nestled among the rose bushes. Surrounded by flowers of deep scarlet, a maroon he distinctly remembers as being your favourite colour. He fools himself into believing that he’s using the time to craft a plan for what’s to come, and not that he’s wasting it on the hope that you might emerge from the tall hedges, out of breath and eyes glinting eager to find him.
Well, you played your hand. Now he knows what he has to do.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
You wake up groggy the following morning, having tossed and turned the entire night, thinking about Aemond.
Had he been out there, waiting for you? Your mind came up with the different possibilities of what he has to say. Or if he had nothing to say at all, and it was all just another ruse.
You told yourself that you didn’t want to meet up with him, but you had an alibi prepared. One of your old tennis club mates agreed to cover for you and say that you were having drinks together, just in case Art ever checks up.
But as you were about to deliver the excuse, Art had said something about you and him not getting to spend as much quality time anymore. The past few weeks have been occupied with nothing but tennis, and though it’s a shared activity that you both value, he wanted to stay in for the night with you. He ordered room service, downloaded two films that were on your watchlist, and whispered sweet nothings in your ear until you eventually gave up on meeting Aemond.
It can wait, whatever it is.
Besides, isn’t this the right thing to do? Did you seriously consider having a midnight rendezvous with the guy who you claim to dislike the most? Someone who encourages you to keep secrets from your boyfriend? What good could possibly come out of that?
With a heaving sigh, you push all thoughts of last night from your mind. There are bigger things at hand. The biggest tennis tournament of the year, for one.
You make your way to the dining hall of your hotel. Art had woken up before you, pressing a loving kiss to your cheek and explaining how he had to discuss some matters with your physical team. He wore the skin of a tennis coach as perfectly as that of a boyfriend.
And here you are, regretting that you were unable to meet up with another man the previous night.
The art deco layout of the lobby extends into the spacious dining hall, the interior of the hotel filled with geometric patterns and rich jewel tones. You once bid Aemond guess what your favourite interior design was, and he got it in two tries, complete with a spiel of how it reflects your personality. Art, on the other hand, had been adamant that your favourite was minimalist. That was the first time you realised that his perspective of you was different from Aemond’s.
You hadn’t yet reconciled with who is more accurate, lest it shine a light on something deeper.
The hostess is cheerful and full of pep as she leads you to your table. You know it’s coming - she’ll ask you for a picture in just a moment, and you’re proven right when she reaches in her pocket and her phone materialises inch by inch. She seems shy to ask, ready to turn on her heel with a stiff smile if you refuse, so you do your best to be encouraging.
When the photo is taken and she finally lowers her phone, you spy someone out in the distance and you make it out to be none other than your boyfriend. Leaning by the outdoor terrace, appearing to be speaking to another person you can’t yet make out, their face obscured by the decorative shrubbery scattered across the area.
You walk to the side to get a better view of who it is. That tall figure, clad in a black tracksuit… a familiar head of blonde hair… and the unmistakable cut of his jawline. Realisation sets in. Art is speaking to Aemond.
Your stomach sinks, the thought of breakfast no longer enticing. Frozen in the middle of the dining hall, you begin to attract the attention of others.
Aemond turns his head, perfectly timed for his gaze to meet yours. Like something out of a grim movie, your anxiety spikes as his smug smirk materialises in slow motion.
If there ever were a match at hand between you two, that smirk makes it clear that he has won it.
Art follows his gaze, also meeting yours, but without any trace of satisfaction. He looks at you accusingly. You shake your head at him, but you already know.
This is not going to end well.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
“Is it true?”
You had wordlessly followed Art back to your hotel suite, the air around you thick with dread and anticipation.
“What did Aemond say?” You stand in front of him as he calmly sits by the window, as if you’re on the trial stand. You just might be.
“Guess,” Art spits mockingly. “Why don’t you tell me? You seem to know him quite well.” You bristle at his tone. He’s never spoken to you like this before.
“Whatever he told you, it’s not what it looks like, okay? You know Aemond. He likes to mess around with people, especially us.”
Art shakes his head in disbelief, “He even showed me some of your messages. Some of them you must have sent - what, at 3 or 4 in the fucking morning? When you’re lying next to me in bed? Not getting a lot of sleep apparently. It must be why you’re not on top of your game.”
He’s not playing fair, and you deserve this.
“There’s nothing going on between us,” you say through gritted teeth, making the statement sound as firm as possible, because it’s not just Art you’re attempting to convince. You want to believe it too.
“He’s said some things about me.”
“And I defended you.”
“Not well enough,” he shakes his head. “It sounded almost normal for you. Spewing bullshit to each other.”
“It’s just… it’s all just banter.” God, you sound so terrible. “Riling each other up to get into the mindset before matches.”
“All that… all that, I can kind of understand. It’s the other things. The intimate things that get on my nerves.”
“What - ” You can’t form the proper response to that.
“I missed talking to you, he once said. To which you replied that you do too.”
“That’s nothing.”
“You said that he inspired you.”
“That’s… that… he’s a great talent,” you stammer, as the statements he throws worsen. “He always has been. Even you can’t deny that.”
The argument goes on for an uncomfortable length of time, with Art reminding you of things that you and Aemond had apparently messaged each other, and you trying to play them off as insignificant.
Gradually, you convince Art that Aemond is just a thorn in your side. That Aemond was just overplaying the messages to get under his skin. That letting this break your relationship would be giving Aemond what he wants.
But everything he said - the messages he brought back to the surface, the encounters that were brought up - made you realise the depth of your involvement with Aemond.
You are fooling yourself, just as much as you are fooling Art.
He finally stands, heading towards the door. “I’ve spoken to our physical team. Meet us at the gym in 15.”
“Art.”
He halts, but he doesn’t turn to face you. You’re worried about what you’ll see in his face if he does.
“Are we okay?” you ask.
He turns to the side, and you catch a glimpse of the man you love, his once blithe demeanour reduced to a brief, forced smile. He nods once, and you sag in relief. When he is finally out the door, you collapse onto the bed and press your knuckles to your eyes.
You feel it all at once.
Anger. Frustration. That fear of inevitability coming to fruition. This was bound to happen and a part of you knew it was coming.
Aemond screwed you over, and it’s high time you put an end to everything.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
The gardens. Midnight.
The message had been sent. The last one you will ever send to Aemond Targaryen if things go as planned.
You have it rehearsed and perfected in your mind - how you will give him a piece of your mind, how you will tell him off and tell him to fuck off for good.
As long as you think of Art…  As long as you don’t lose yourself, then…
“You’re lucky I’m not standing you up, Ace. Not like what you did to me.” The bastard has appeared directly behind you, as per his custom, so close you can feel his breath on the nape of your neck.
You immediately turn to face him, and he stands calmly in his signature black tracksuit, his lips curled in their usual manner. “I never agreed to meet you that night.”
His smile is derisive, the sight of it sharp and cruel under the moonlight. “I thought we had sort of a code of honour, you and I. That we’d never lie to each other. Never let the other person down.”
“Honour?” you say mockingly. “I call bullshit. Trying to ruin my relationship… is that part of it?”
He looks away, shaking his head at your accusation. “I only did what you don’t have the fucking guts to do. Your relationship with Donaldson was ruined the moment we…” He trails off, brows furrowing. His gaze meets yours, revealing the truth that sits underneath his mask of arrogance. One that only you are allowed to see. He appears to take on a different smile this time, softer and less pronounced. The curses you want to hurl get caught in your throat when he looks to your lips and hums faintly to himself, almost as if he’s forgotten that you are in the middle of an argument.
You take a step back, and it shakes him out of his reverie. It shakes the both of you out of it.
“Well? Let’s fucking hear it then.” You raise your arms in a gesture, egging him on.
“Hear what?” he says, having the gall to be confused.
“What did you want to tell me that night? Tell me now, because you’ll never get the chance again.”
He straightens, getting his thoughts in order. He completely forgot about that issue, and talking is increasingly becoming the last thing he wants to do right now. He wants to put his lips to better use. Something more worthwhile. “Helaena’s retiring,” he finally decides on saying, “and I think I should be your coach.”
You’re dumbfounded for a moment, his proposition whirring in your head. It makes sense, it does. He just gets you. But then again…
“That’s rich,” you reply. “Do you think I would ever give up Art? He’s always been my coach and he’s damn good at it.”
“You’re not compatible,” he counters, “in the court and out of it.”
“You don’t know that.”
“He doesn’t see you,” he affirms. He would never lie to you, and he isn’t about to start now. He repeats, “He doesn’t see you, but I do.”
His words strike true, and it feels as if he’s just pulled the rug from underneath you, and you’re falling, falling…
Right into his arms. And the impact is jarring, because it’s real.
“We can’t.” It comes out as a hoarse whisper, a reflection of your weakening restraint.
“Yes we can, ace.” He takes a step closer, and he lifts his hand as if on instinct, reaching for your face. But he’s frozen, unsure of how far he can toe the line that already lies fragile between you. “It should be you and me.”
Your eyes follow his movements, because you know you want him to give in and hold you. To touch your face. To kiss you.
And it’s wrong. It’s all wrong.
“I have to go.” Your voice carries no emotion. You avert your gaze at the last second and catch the defeat that flashes across his face. It should come as a surprise that it pains you to see him like this, but then again, you see him as he sees you. You always have. Which renders your next words among the most painful to come out of your mouth. “We can’t do this anymore. Art already doesn’t trust me, and if this goes on, it’s only going to make things worse. I can’t talk to you - ”
“No.”
“- and I won’t be responding to anything- ”
“Stop fucking talking.” His anger is fledgling, rising to the surface. There is no way he will calmly accept these terms. “I said no, ace.”
“It’s… it’s the right thing to do,” you murmur, still unable to look at him. “I’m sure I’ll see you around. We run in the same circles. But we can’t be… us.”
“Forget it,” he seethes, trying to catch your eyes, and growling low when you don’t relent. “Forget him, ace. Or do whatever the fuck you want. But not this, I’m not having this.”
You exhale, having gotten the worst of it out of your chest. It’s over now. But it’s not a relief that you feel. It’s remorse.
“Goodbye, Aemond.” With that, you finally take him in once more, and one glance is enough to shatter your resolve. His heightened ill temper shines clearly across his distinguished features. Under the midnight moon, he resembles a fallen angel, long dark blonde lashes casting shadows on his cheekbones. His shadowy, glass eye strangely adding to the appeal.
Beautiful. And just not yours.
One last, lingering look - then you walk away. The silence is deafening, and you feel numb all over. Your knuckles are taut at your sides, fingernails digging in your palms to keep those pesky, errant tears at bay. You’ve suffered defeat before, but this is much worse, because it’s coming solely from your own hand. How easily you give him up, someone who was never yours, and how badly it stings.
“No,” you hear him say again, and you pray he shuts up so you can keep walking.
He doesn’t. He repeats the word - no - over and over like some mantra under his breath. One second you feel nothing. Nothing at all. But then the wind whooshes around you and you’re being spun around to face him.
And then, his lips claim yours, and you feel everything.
Sounds come rushing back to you. His ragged panting against your lips, the pads of his fingertips kneading the back of your head, the wet smacking of his mouth on your own. The empty pit in your stomach is filled with those clichéd butterflies. More so when one of his hands travels down to grasp your waist and press your body against his.
“Aem - ” Your mind catches up to you, and you try to say his name to get him to pause, but he slides his tongue past your teeth.
“Shut up and kiss me, ace.” He breaks free for but a second, then hungrily kisses you again. You let him. You give in completely.
“Mmm, Aemond.” Your hands reach up to cradle his face and he takes that as an opportunity to pull back and openly admire you.
“You’re my ace,” he professes, connecting his forehead to yours. “And I’m not fucking losing you.”
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
You rush through the lobby of the hotel, hand in hand and giggling like schoolchildren as you duck your heads so as not to get recognised by the night concierge.
With reckless abandon, your entwined bodies stumble into his suite, which just happens to be on the floor below yours. You once thought you would have to be inebriated beyond belief to surrender to a sin like this, and in a way you are. You’re high off of him - Aemond in his entirety, six feet of lean muscle, notorious foul-mouthed one-eyed libertine.
“Fuck, ace.” He has his arms wrapped around you from behind, and he nips at your exposed neck. His touch roams and finds the mounds of your breasts, kneading mindlessly over your shirt. The sound that reverberates from his throat is carnal, and you feel it echo through your whole body. It drives you to press your ass against him, taking full notice of his hardness straining from his sweatpants.
Feeling mischievous, you do it again, gripping his arms to anchor yourself while grinding against his cock.
“Foul play,” he whispers against your neck, “you fucking minx.”
“There are no rules now.” You face him, running a finger along his jawline as you walk backward and he follows suit. Stopping at the edge of his bed, you strip out of your shirt, careful to keep your eyes locked on his the whole time.
The movement is too slow for Aemond, and he desperately needs more. He pushes you onto the mattress and climbs on top of you. He slides your sweatpants off your legs, then lets his hand drag from your ankle to your inner thigh. He promptly undresses, graceless and in a rush, until all his clothes are left in a heap on the carpet.
His cock stands on attention, taut and goddamn long. You feel an ache below that compels you to rub your legs together, but he beats you to it and slides your underwear right off. “I’ve always wanted to taste you,” he croons. “Bet you taste so sweet.”
You take your bra off and you’re finally left completely bare. He spreads your legs and positions himself in between. He uses one hand to squeeze your breast and the other to keep your legs propped wide open.
His eye meets yours, before he settles in, lowering his head until he’s breathing cool air onto your pussy. “Match point, ace.”
You have him. He has you.
When Aemond’s tongue plunges deep into your throbbing core, swirling inside like he wants to consume you whole, you have to bite your tongue to hold back a scream.
He knows what he’s doing, of course he does, and he’s so fucking good.
“Yes - yes - keep going, baby, fuck -  ” you moan, words breathy and irregular.
He sticks two fingers into your wetness, using it to spread you wider, leveraging his tongue ever deeper. In and out they go, faster than the fuck, fuck, fucks coming out of your mouth in blissful sputters.
He suddenly stops, a guttural hmm echoing from his lips, and you look down to see his lips coated in a mixture of his spit and your pre cum. “Not so fast, ace,” he taunts. “You’ll come when I say.”
You prop yourself up on your elbows, still widespread and exposed to him. “What, are you coaching me through it?”
He hums in affirmative and leans in to kiss you, juices still dripping from his chin.
“You gonna follow my orders, ace?” he asks, and your mind spirals at how utterly lewd it sounds.
“Wouldn’t you like that, Targaryen?” You let out another moan, biting your lip when he hungrily sucks on your breast. “Let’s see what you got first.”
He smiles at your playful instigation. It’s always come natural, this riffing back and forth. But this midnight dalliance - he wants it to be honest. He needs you to realise how much he wants you.
“Yes, ma’am.” He gets on his knees, a hand braced on each of your thighs, his hardened cock at the ready.
“Ma’am?” you breathe, a laugh dying in your throat when you his tip prods at your entrance.
“I can be agreeable under the right circumstances, ace.” He torments you by pushing his cock in but an inch.
“Fuck me, Aemond,” you cuss in frustration, then, literally, “Fuck me. Please.”
His eyes take you in, one darkened blue and one ghostly pale glass. “Well, since you asked so nicely,” he says. “You good for it, ace?” He nods once, referring to whether a condom is needed and you take the hint right away.
“Yeah,” you confirm. “Perks of having a top-of-the-line physio team. They hook you up on other things too.” Your cocky-athlete way of stating that you are on the pill.
The lights are dim in the room, but you clearly see the resolve settle on Aemond’s face. He parts his lips like he wants to say something more, and you tilt your head questioningly.
He feels the need to make some sort of declaration. Something true. It doesn’t seem right to say those damned three words at this moment, no matter how much he means them. You could think he’s trying to trick you in order to get what he wants. A good lay and nothing else. So he doesn’t say anything and lets the silence speak for itself. If you know him as you claim to, then you’ll see.
You’ll see just how much this means to him.
You nod, and it’s an unspoken plea.
He thrusts his cock into you with such force, stretching your walls with a sudden and blinding ache, until he is buried to the hilt. He reaches and cradles your face with one hand, the other keeping your ankle propped by his shoulder.
“Move, Aem.” You buck your hips against him, his cock squelching in and out again.
“Yeah, baby?” He complies with his hips in response. “That feel good?”
“Yes. God yes.”
A switch flicks inside of him, and he almost snarls through his teeth. “You feel so fucking good, ace. Your pussy takin’ me so well…” His hips buck faster, in abrupt snapping motions, burying his cock each damn time. He connects your legs together and turns you to your side, altering the position slightly.
You look behind your shoulder and see that feral look etched on his face. His grip is tight on the flesh of your hips and the curve of your ass, having it raised slightly for his convenience. He smacks your behind with an open palm, and it elicits a lusty moan out of you.
“Fuck, baby,” he rasps. “So beautiful like this, dripping around my fucking cock, huh? My good girl.”
The noises you release as a result are unintelligible. You press your face against the pillow in sheer pleasure, muffling your sounds.
“I wanna hear you, baby,” Aemond protests. With practised ease, he repositions you so your ass is propped high before him, your body bent forward as you have to lean on your forearms to keep from planting your face on the sheets.
He doesn’t ease up on his relentless thrusting, and you’re left squirming and cock-drunk. Your eyes rolling to the back of your head, you’re blissed-out on what only Aemond can give you.
“Does he fuck you as good?” he spits in obvious distaste. “I don’t think so, baby. Can’t fuck this pussy like I do.”
“N-no,” you whimper, without any trace of guilt. “Only you, Aem.”
“Hmm,” he simpers. “Come for me, ace. Be a good girl now. Come around my cock, yeah?”
“Mhhmm,” you pant, growing weaker and weaker at his statements, your walls tensing for that release you crave.
“You’re mine, ace. Mine.”
Your whimper comes out sudden and unrestrained as you let go, and feel your warm juices leaking down your thighs. The sounds of his cock growing noisy and sloppier. He releases not long after, with a few sharp spasms, decorating your insides with his cum.
Marking someone who is not supposed to be his.
But nothing else matters as he crumples against you and pulls you into his arms. If something is to be reconciled with, it won’t be for tonight.
With these things, regret always comes along with the sunrise.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
“40 - 30.”
The crowd cheers at the umpire’s announcement. You can barely make out the faces morphing together into one homogeneous mob, but you’ve observed enough to know that Aemond isn’t among them. Rivulets of sweat drip down your face and you walk to the side as another break starts.
Helaena nods at you from the opposite side of the court, and you respond with a terse smile.
She resembles him so much - the one you’ve been avoiding for the past three days. With that same distinct shade of blonde hair and deep blue eyes, but possessing an aura of tenderness about her. If Aemond wasn’t lying about her plan to retire, then it makes perfect sense. She seems too good for the sport, too pure, whereas you fit right into its cruel constraints.
What sort of person would have done what you did, some nights ago, and be able to walk with their head held high? You want to believe that you regret sleeping with Aemond, that you would reverse your actions, given the chance. But the pain that eats at you is that you might have fucked things up for good, abruptly leaving before he woke up that morning.
It’s ironic - you may just get what you said you wanted. To end things. Never to be the same with him again.
You slump in your seat, wiping at your face with a towel, pushing all thought of Aemond from your mind.
From your periphery, you catch Helaena gesturing to you. She smiles, and you think that your emotions must show so clearly on your face that she feels bad for you.
She nods, and tilts her head to the side, so that you follow her gaze. Standing courtside, partially hidden in the corner just behind the barriers, you see Aemond closely watching you.
He came after all. You turn back to Helaena, unable to hide your surprise, and she sends another smile your way. She knows. Of course she does.
With renewed excitement, the match continues. It only takes one more point, one final ace, and you emerge triumphant. The court fills with cheers and sounds of celebration. It is declared that you are advancing to the next round of the tournament. You meet Helaena in the middle and she firmly shakes your hand, exhibiting no sign of disappointment.
“Congratulations! Very well played.” She drops her racket and grasps your hand with both of hers. She leans closer, and adds, “You know, I also consider it a win for myself, because my last ever match is against the girl my brother is in love with.”
You forget where you are, the revelation rendering everything else moot. The cheering crowds disappear, and it’s just you and Helaena as she dips her head comfortingly, assuring you that you heard her words true.
“I’m sure I’ll see you soon,” she lets go finally, with a cheerful, “go celebrate!”
You feel yourself being whisked away, cameras flashing from all sides. Art appears in front of you and he pulls you into an embrace. Several onlookers gush at the sight. You barely take notice of them, your eyes already drifting to where Aemond was standing.
There he remains, casually leaning against the barriers. Some audience members realise that the great Aemond Targaryen stands among them, and one by one a small crowd forms around him, asking for pictures and autographs.
He continues to hold your gaze, his usual smirk making an appearance, ignoring a guy waving a camera at his face. You shake your head at the scene, a genuine laugh bubbling from your lips.
You nod to each other, as if acknowledging the absurdity of it all, and leave it at that. There’s a lot more to be said, for another time. Art wraps his arm around your waist, and Aemond takes it as his cue to look away, relenting to the eager fans surrounding him.
You direct your gaze to your boyfriend, immediately seeing the recognition in Art’s eyes. He’s seen everything.
He doesn’t need to be as acutely perceptive as Helaena to realise the truth. That of the one-eyed rogue and his ace. You’ve been drifting from him for so long, that it was only a matter of time.
He was your friend first, and he always will be. You’ve watched each other grow, through endless mistakes and challenges, and there’s a fire in you he cannot match.
But Aemond can. He knows this now.
He extends a hand out to you, one which you accept with poorly masked caution. He understands how woeful it must be, to tear yourself apart from being in love with someone else. The shame and uncertainty that must entail.
For both your sakes, he decides that he has to be the bigger person and do the right thing.
“What do you say?” Art offers to you. “Post match treat?” he asks, referring to your tradition of sharing a large strawberry sundae after games.
“Okay.” Your smile is sweet and unguarded, and it reminds him of when you first met, nearly six years ago. That day, he knew he had made a lifelong friend.
▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎
“I wish I could say I’m happy to see you here, but we did once promise not to lie to each other.”
Aemond swivels toward the sound of your voice, cigarette smoke billowing from his lips.
“Vile habit, Targaryen.” You wrinkle your nose, and he just shakes his head and crushes the butt of his cigarette under his shoe.
“Yeah, well.” He merely shrugs. He was dead set on quitting, but something came up the past couple of days, causing his anxiety to reach new heights. When you ignored him after the night you shared, he can’t fault himself for reaching for depraved solace in nicotine. But no substance would ever be enough to erase the precious memory of watching you come undone.
“Not happy to see me, ace?” he refers back to your greeting, not bothering to hide the hurt he feels.
You walk closer to him, trying to hold back a smile. “Well, I lied. But it’s not like I haven’t lied before.” You stop when you’re right in front of him, the remnants of his smoke making you feel woozy. “I also lied when I said that we can’t keep being us anymore. When I said goodbye.”
“Hmm,” his lips curl at your confession. “Judging by how wildly you fucked me after you said that, I could already tell.”
You roll your eyes, but you already feel so much better, like things are falling right back into place. All it took was some teasing from the apparently callous, sharp-tongued, ambitious-to-a-fault boy standing before you.
A boy who revealed the true depths of his compassion only to you. He let you thaw out his cold heart from its confines and declared it yours.
“Something more to say, ace?” he asks.
“You first.”
“Are you kidding? Why don’t you play this game with your boyfriend?”
You share a lingering look, effectively answering his question. The unabashed shit-eating smile that breaks out on his face is enough to tell you just how he feels.
“Don’t gloat,” you warn him, but he’s already pulled you flush against him with both arms. “I also need a new coach.”
“Mhmm,” he nods, not really in response to your statement. “Save that for later, ace. Please shut the hell up and kiss me.”
He can’t help but smile through kisses, his lips chasing yours when you make an effort to pull away and say something more.
“Aemond, will you - ”
“Fuckin’ - ” a cuss slips from him when you manage to break apart, depriving him of your lips. He answers impatiently, “Yes of course, I’ll be your coach, ace. Of course. Happy? I’ll be anything you want me to be.”
Before he leans in once more, you say, “Don’t you dare fuck this up, Targaryen.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it, my love.”
You lean back in mild surprise.
He laughs, “I mean - ace - or my love. Either one applies, really.”
"I... I prefer ace," you say weakly.
"Now, now, my love. I thought we promised not to lie to each other?"

Name (The Goo Goo Dolls)
Scars are souvenirs we never lose, the past is never far/Did you lose yourself somewhere out there, did you get to be a star?/Don’t it make you sad to know that life is more than who we are?/We grew up way too fast and now there’s nothing to believe/And reruns all become our history
"YOU CAN NEVER GO HOME AGAIN BECAUSE IT DOESNT EXIST ANYMORE (BUT ITS NON-EXISTENCE STILL DOESNT PREVENT THE PAST FROM HAUNTING YOUR EVERY MOVE) AND EVEN THE BONDS WITH THE PEOPLE WHO MADE IT HOME ARE ERODING YOU PROMISE YOULL KEEP THEM SAFE AND KEEP THEIR SECRETS AND HOPE THAT PROMISE IS ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM STAY

pressure / ln4
Tumblr media
a/n ⋯ a short pause from the one of your girls dual part. this was a beautiful request, and as a huge challengers enthusiast, i had to put it to paper. thank you so much for the request. also i am aware that the u.s. open takes place in new york, but for simplicity sake, we'll say its in miami.
music ⋯ link
warnings ⋯ no smut, fluff, angst, insecure thoughts, anxiety.
wordcount ⋯ 2.6k (unedited).
“you’re going to do amazing, my love.” lando’s words were soothing as he held you firmly against his chest. it was a saturday night in miami, both of you were dueling your own matches for the weekend. you were in the finals of your tournament held for the US open, whereas he was debuting in the miami grand prix the following afternoon.
your head shifted into his chest, nose burrowing into the fabric of his shirt with a soft hum. you knew he was right, but the pressure waned on you. how could it not? your entire career balanced on your performance, and thousands of people would be watching you. not only were you lando norris’ girlfriend, but also an up and coming star in your own career.
you kissed the fabric of his shirt, knowing the sentiment held little, but he appreciated the gesture regardless. his hand found the back of your head, threading his fingers through your hair. his touch was gentle, kind, one reserved only for you. it was moment’s like these that the pair of you found solitude in one another.
“i know, i just…” you hesitated, lifting your head so your chin rested on the center of his torso. he tightened his hand around your hip, cradling you against the firm shape of his body.
“what, baby?” he said with a soft tone, velvety to your ears. you couldn’t resist him. couldn’t hold anything back from him, despite wanting to spare him the worries you held. the last thing you wanted him to do was worry about you. especially when he had a huge event of his own.
but all he did was worry about you.
day and night he would dream both through the sun and beneath the moonlight of you. you. it was always you that he was concerned about. you, that he searched for atop his podiums. you, that he would attend all your matches when he could.
this was one of the rare events where they overlapped. he would only be there with you in the morning to see you off before your matches. then, you would reconcile with him in the evenings. post race, post tournament. it would be a tough day to manage on your own, but he felt the same way. you were the light to all of his races, the focal point of which he could relax. his anxiety roared in these conditions, but you somehow soothed him at every turn.
he needed you. but you couldn’t be there.
“i want you there.”
his features softened. there was a cloud of guilt brewing a thunderstorm above his head, threatening to rain down tears in your obvious distress. he hated seeing you this way, and most of all, he hated being the one who caused it.
“i know.” his thumb stroked across your cheek. “i would if i could.” you believe him. he was your number one fan, just as you were his. a match made in heaven, one might be able to jest. “‘nd i want you there, tomorrow, with me on the radio.”
you blushed, letting your face drop into the fabric of his sweatshirt. you felt his chest bellow with a deep laugh, centered at his core, letting his lids flutter at your bashful expression. your teeth even went as far as biting at his sweatshirt, which had him grumbling and pulling your hair up into a makeshift ponytail, raising your head to meet his eyes.
“you’ll be the death of me,” he uttered, saying with pure love. your relationship with him was full of complexities, but overall dominated by your fatuous love for one another. the pressures you both face in consequence of your performances…
“you’re going to win tomorrow.” you sat up on his lap, straddling his hips. you were both in your shared bed in the hotel, lounging in your sleepwear in the messed up sheets. tonight was between you two and no one else. lando slammed that ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door the minute the pair of you walked in for the evening. “i can feel it.”
“you think so?” he gulped, both his hands coming to run up the skin of your thighs. you shivered at his touch, but you were determined to keep a clear mind.
“i know so.” you watched his face relax with relief. your words of comfort meant ten times than anyone else's, and you would always give him the truth. its what he loved about you so much. your blatant honesty, your charisma, your ability to power through every obstacle in your life. but he knew just as much as you did that you wouldn’t be able to do any of it without each other. it was one of the many little beautiful things about your relationship.
lando’s anxiety would gnaw at him every chance it got. but since he’s entered a relationship with you, he feels like a fucking king, but he was nothing without his queen.
“don’t know,” he said, breaking the silence. “you’re my lucky charm.”
you rolled your eyes. “you’ve scored points at every race this season,” you pointed out. it was a fact. he was one of the only contending drivers to have such a prosperous season. you were delighted for him. “with or without me there.”
but he didn’t like your excuses. he squeezed your plush thighs beneath his calloused fingers, which had you gasping.
“don’t do that.”
you quirked a brow. “do what?”
“pretend like you don’t mean the world to me.”
you blushed and fell forward on his chest, your head falling into his neck. you giggled against his skin, unable to contain your smile. “stop that,” you insisted, blushing fiercely. a hand of his came to hold the back of your neck in a comforting grip.
“loving you?” you caught his gaze, bleary with love. “i don’t think i can.”
you were up at 5:30 that morning getting ready. lando was still sound asleep, snores being heard from the ensuite bathroom as your brushed your teeth and fixed your appearance. you wore a white tennis dressed, sponsored by fila, and just left when you made your way to the bed.
your hand brushed over lando’s exposed hip, shirtless in the bed with only a pair of boxers. he moaned in his sleep, pulling a pillow closer. but he was wide awake when he realized the pillow was made of feathers, and not you.
“come on, my love.” you said to him in the dark room, looming over him with your hair undone and bright white dress. he turned to face you, sitting up against the headboard. his hands came to rest over his head, stretching.
then he leaned in for a kiss, his hand cupping your cheek. you met him half way, sucking on his lower lip. he groaned, and you felt yourself shift, but couldn’t fall into his trap of desire.
“ah, ah.” you pulled away before his hand came to snatch you down into the bed. “you promised me breakfast.”
he fell back into the bed with disappointment. you laughed to yourself and made your way to the foyeur. you didn’t have to wait long when you heard him shifting and getting ready for the day ahead.
when you arrived to the courts that morning, lando was carrying most of your things. it had you smiling with appreciation, insisting that you could carry your wilson tennis bag. but he refused, saying that you worked too hard for this day to be carrying your own bag. let me help you, and you were sold.
you caught on to how much the crowds began to fill in. you were a sensation. but the notion would consistently fly over your head.
you were tense and lando could see that.
“hey,” his hand came to rest on your back. you leaned into him. “you’re going to do great, baby.”
you sucked in a tight breath. but what if you didn’t? what if, that these set of matches, would damn your career to near ruin? what if you could never be perfect?
your breathing became erratic. lando’s eyes widened, jumping into swift action as he covered your body with his. he backed you into a corner where no one could see the pair of you, and wrapped his hands around your body tightly.
“match me.” he said. the words were so familiar to you. the both of you had discovered a coping mechanism when things got too much, too overwhelming, and too over pressured. you’d fall into each other’s arms and hear one another breathe.
your lip quivered with tears. but you did as you were told.
with an ear pressed to his chest, you could hear the steady beat of his heart. the strength in his muscles. the blood rippling through his veins. most importantly, the rise and fall of his abdomen against your own.
with your thummering heart, you found pace with him. “in and out,” he would soothe, saying into the top of your head where he left kisses in his wake.
he stroked the small of your back, thumb running circles over you. you fell completely into him.
“what if i’m not good enough?”
the words broke him.
“then the world is full of fuckheads, i’ll tell you that.” his tone was firm, but ebbed with softness as he spoke into your scalp. his attempt at humor had you breaking into a soft chuckle. you appreciated him in this moment. “i’d kill all those fuckers, you just tell me who–”
your head broke away with a smile, finger coming to shush him.
“lando!”
“what? it’s true.”
you loved him.
“maybe so,” you reached up to kiss both of his flushed cheeks. “but i want you here. with me.”
his forehead connected with yours.
“you’ll always have me.” he placed his hand over your heart, and you placed yours over his.
“always?”
“always.” he promised.
the matches were flawless. you played to your body’s ultimate limit. you were skating across the base line, the volley line, snapping your shoulder with everything you had for your serves.
“love, all.” the announcer began.
you were up serving first.
this was it.
the final match out of six. whoever won this, won the title.
you thought about lando. you thought about his breath against your neck. the texture of his stubble. the pride in his eyes. sweat dribbled from your forehead as you let the tennis ball bounce a few times before you to get a feel for the clay courts.
and with one fluent swing and leap, the ball was set into the air.
the cockpit was hot. lando was sweating profusely in the miami air. the humidity had changed their course of strategy at mclaren, but he agreed with his engineers wholeheartedly. there had been a safety car, and he abused it. attack it.
when he was rounding corner after corner, lap after lap, he only thought of you. he thought of you in your pretty tennis dresses. you and your bright smile. you and your comforting touches, kissing him goodnight. it had his racing heart relaxing, fingers flexing against the steering drive.
you were perfect. his perfect fucking girl. you were all his– his soon to be championship winner. and he wanted to make you a promise that he would win. he would win this for you.
‘you’re going to win tomorrow,’ you said idly from atop his hips. you looked towards him with such riveting devotion. such intimacy that he never imagined was possible for someone to convey. but with you, anything was possible.
the two of you were not so different from one another. the pressures you both faced were immaculate. it’s what held you both so heavily bonded to one another. you needed each other’s comfort. the touch of your hands. the sweetness of your lips. he didn’t give a fuck about codependency. fuck who ever came up with that.
he’s going to fucking win. he will win for you. whatever it takes, he will stand on that podium in the firelli hat, and dedicate it all to you.
the score was 40-40.
your body shook with adrenaline, muscles pounding beneath your layer of skin. your body pumped with red hot blood, blood of a future champion. this title would be yours. you knew that the minute you walked onto this court with your opponent.
he was a smug gentleman. too smug. you wanted to wipe that fucking look off of his face. bruise it black and blue if you could.
though your anger could be taken out on the court. you let it.
your strokes were harder. faster. your serve pace was up to 140mph. he couldn’t even get to most of them with how your body contorted mid air, slamming it down and leaving an indent into the clay. you were a powerhouse. a machine. a gauntlet of beauty.
and when you scored the winning point after an intense rally, jumping high into the air for an ace, you rocked back into the balls of your feet. your hips swung, racket thwanging, and you cheered; “come on!”
your anger for him was palpable. it blinded you enough to forget the crowds. the only thing you had on your mind was winning, and that you did.
the stadium lit up and you were met with a flushing amount of cheers. you were handed a towel from one of the members of your team before being swarmed with paparazzi.
they all complimented you. congratulated you. asked about certain points, but there was one member that caught your eye.
“lando’s in the lead!” a cameraman said from the back. your head raised, brows quirking.
“what did you say?” you forced a path for the man to walk forward. he accepted your invitation, holding up his phone screen in one hand.
sure enough, you saw the standings. lando was in first. your boy was in first.
your eyes widened. “this is live, isn’t it?” you were panting, wiping the sweat from your forehead with the lemon-scented towel.
the man nodded, holding a microphone to you.
“how do you feel right now?” you kept watching. lap 55.
you kept quiet, and the rest of the paparazzi did too.
lap 56.
your hands clasped together, raising them to your mouth.
“come on, baby…” you said beneath your breath. this was the longest minute of your life, you were sure of it.
and when he crossed the finish line, he was only thinking about you.
lando norris, first time grand prix winner, shrieked with joy over the microphone.
you did, too, jumping up and down from your place on the court. the paparazzi swarmed you again, anticipating what you had to say for the both of you.
“he’s incredible, isn’t he?” you gushed with a smile on your face, tears dripping down your cheeks.
“what a day for you two, isn’t it?”
you couldn’t agree more. “i’ll cheers to that.”
you practically ran through the paddock. your tennis dress was still on, your team was irritated that you didn’t stay for press. you didn’t give a fuck. you just wanted to see lando. you had the rest of your life to deal with the press, but he only had one maiden win.
you were greeted with a plethora of congratulations from the mclaren team. zak brown even caught a glance at you, waving you over.
“podiums just about to start.” perfect. you made it in time.
and when you saw him there, standing idly as they played the national anthem, you were brought to the front. the camera panned on you and your weeping expression, hand covering your mouth from your sobs.
he saw it from the distance and his head snapped down to find you. his own emotions couldn’t be contained, not with you there– you, here, looking beautiful in the sea of people– and the tears slid down his cheeks.
your face broke into a smile when he saw you. he was yours.
and you were his. and you were in this together.
forever and always.
