additional keywords for your spells

i use these keywords to guide how i add layers/complexity to my workings! they may influence my sigils, the time when i do the working, the colors/herbs/crystals i use, etc! keep in mind that words may have diff meanings to diff people, so feel free to use this as inspiration for other words you prefer (or maybe even words in your native language)

for prosperity/money drawing workings

sustainable (as in sustainable source of income), stable (similar to prev.), desired (also similar to prev.), efficient/easy/quick, unexpected

for success/school/job workings

balance (as in work-life balance), consistent (as in consistent efforts/energy/opportunities), long-term (as in long-term success), wanted/desired (as in wanted/desired opportunities/means to succeed)

for protection workings

un/wanted (as in protection from unwanted things/passage for wanted things; like a conditional protection), harm/harmful (as in protection from harmful things, bc i personally don’t see all bad/negative things as harmful; ie sadness can be seen as negative but not always harmful depending on the situation!)

Paper Poppet Spell for Luck & Success

Poppets are a very popular way of typically conducting baneful magic – however, in this spell, the poppet will be representing yourself, and you will be performing sympathetic magic to increase your success and luck! This spell is to help aid you in achieving goals and success in any endeavors you may be attempting right now. I recommend carrying out this spell during a full moon, and/or on a Sunday. Of course, feel free to tweak this spell and its components as needed to better suit your needs/practice! This spell is a great beginner spell for sympathetic magic, and you can use this as a template if you wish to create any other poppet spells in the future.

Materials:

Wax warmer along with wax (in the color of your choice), or a candle (in the color of your choice) with a way to collect/use the melted wax. I personally used a mix of green and gold wax, as those colors typically represent abundance.

2 sheets of origami paper, 20cm x 20cm (if you only have typical printer paper, you can use scissors to cut to the correct size!)

Taglock – a piece of your hair, nail clipping, etc. You could also write your name on the poppet! (optional)

Art supplies - paint, colored pencils, markers, etc. Anything you feel comfortable using. (optional)

Mint

Chamomile

Star tarot card (optional)

Citrine

Water

Instructions:

Prepare your workspace and yourself for spellwork however you typically would. I personally like to smoke cleanse with incense, clear off my work area, and work through a guided meditation for focus. I also tend to light a candle or two that corresponds with what type of magic I’m trying to perform. During this step, be sure to turn on your wax warmer or light the candle you’ll be using for the spell.

Create your paper poppet using origami - you can follow this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDkxJi4kGz4. When folding your poppet, imagine you are pouring yourself into the folds of the poppet - your personality, your likeness, your life story, etc. Take some time to sprinkle each of the herbs (mint and chamomile) into some of the folds of your poppet as well - this step will help you “fold” success into yourself (your poppet). Instead of origami, you may also choose to instead cut out a human shape out of your paper - this is a great option if you are short on time, or have mobility/joint issues!

Once your paper poppet is complete, you may decorate it however you see fit - or choose to leave it plain. You may also choose to write words corresponding to your goals. For example: “new job”, “wealth”, “happy love life”, etc. Get creative with it - this poppet is supposed to represent you, after all! You may also add your taglock to the poppet during this step.

By now, your wax should be ready. Take your poppet and carefully dip each foot, hand, and the head into the wax. (Please be EXTREMELY careful if you are using a candle as a method for obtaining wax. And remember, wax is VERY hot!) As you dip each body part, feel free to recite the following (or come up with your own):

Submerge these hands in abundance; these feet in opportunity; And this head in gratitude for what’s to come.

Before the wax dries, sprinkle a bit more herbs on the wet wax to further “glue” success to yourself (your poppet). Be sure to hold onto your poppet as the wax dries before moving onto the next steps; taking care not to touch the wax as it dries.

Once the wax is nice and solid, set your poppet down on your Star tarot card (optional) and add your citrine and herbs to a bowl of water. Dip your fingertips in the bowl, and anoint your poppet with a bit of water. Be careful not to completely get it wet, as the poppet will obviously begin to fall apart - the goal is to just give it a light misting/sprinkle of water.

Finally, the ritual is complete! You may feel the urge to hold onto the poppet until your success is evident. Stash it on your windowsill or somewhere that sees a lot of foot traffic or sunlight – perhaps on your mantle or by your front door. If you’re in the broom closet, you could stash it in your daily bag/purse or wallet. Once you feel you’ve achieved the success you expected, you may dispose of the poppet in the garbage.

Spell jar for passing my driving test

Hi I wanna make a spell jar to take in my bag for my driving test (i would wear one but the jars I own are huge so not exactly appropriate since it'll look like I'm wearing a bloody saucepan round my neck).

But I cant really think of what to put in it? Anyone got any ideas? I do normally wear crystal necklaces on my driving lessons because idk I feel like they help with my confidence bcos I'm a nervous person (and my instructor has actually said I'm really confident now so ;)

But yeah! Any suggestions cos I'm a bit lost.

Spell for Personal Success

You’ll Need:

An orchid

A purple cloth bag

Bay leaves

Got a personal goal you’re ready to achieve? Maybe you want to finally get your degree, lose 10 pounds, or run your first marathon. Whatever it is, use this working to help boost your odds of success. Do this spell on a Sunday, if possible.

Hold the orchid in your hand, and say “I will attempt, I will accomplish, I will succeed. Triumphant endings are what I need.”

Place the orchid in the bag, and add the bay leaves, saying “In my abilities I believe, nothing will stop me, I will achieve.”

Carry the bag in your pocket while you work on your new endeavors.

Okay okay it’s really easy. It’s from a book I have. It’s actually one of the first successful rituals I’ve performed (only because I actually had a bathtub when I did it. If you don’t have bathtub or a body of water, using a bowl of clean water, preferably moon water but it’s okay if it’s not, to clean yourself with a rag will work too!)

Witchy stuff below the cut:

Rosemary Wash

Start on a weekday night. Wednesdays and Fridays are good days to cast job spells, but if you don’t have time during the week and want to leave it for a more relaxed day such as a Sunday evening, that will work too.

Rosemary relieves fatigue and is a cleansing tonic for the skin. It can help get in the right mood and mindset for any spellwork or task. On top of this, you’ll use a ritual chant with green and yellow candles. Use it to get a job, for success in an interview, or good luck in your current work.

Ingredients:

1 cup dried rosemary leaves (I used the rosemary you can get in the spice section at the dollar store 😅)

1 white candle

1 green candle

1 yellow candle

1 Cinnamon incense stick (or a cinnamon scented candle! I used this!)

Paper

Black pen or marker

Steps:

1. Crush the rosemary leaves and set them aside.

2. Boil 5 cups of water, remove from the heat, add the crushed rosemary leaves, let infuse for 10 minutes.

3. Take a bath in the tub (or wash yourself down using a bowl and rag) and after you are clean, pour the rosemary infusion from your neck down. Sit and relax.

4. Take a shower, put on some comfortable clothes and do not leave the house. Now go to your altar or work table.

5. On a piece of paper, using a black pen or marker, write down what you want to attract to your career, or what things you would like to improve in your workplace. Be very specific and detailed, it doesn’t matter how many words it takes. Try to be realistic without downplaying your desires and expectations.

6. Arrange the 3 candles and a stick of cinnamon incense (or cinnamon infused candle) in a circle on your altar. Place the paper with your petition withing the circle, and light the candles and incense stick.

7. Breathe in deeply 3 times. Relax and focus on your feelings again. Read your petition and as you do this, visualize how this will manifest. Fill yourself with feelings of satisfaction and power.

8. Meditate on this for about 5 minutes, leaving all worries aside. Remember to smile. When you are fully relaxed, say the following:

“Oh Goddess Mother, you are alive, you are my guide. In your name I ask that good luck and fortune come to me. Accompany me every day in my work and career. So mote it be.”

9. Snuff the candles out and repeat the spell lighting the candles back every night for the following 7 days. On the last night, let the candles burn completely and then bury everything together.

🍀Success & Prosperity Spell 🍀

Since it's the 🌻Summer Solstice🌻, I preformed a Success and Prosperity Spell for both my boyfriend and myself. I mainly held more intention for him than myself since I want him to succeed in his upcoming career.

I used several different herbs; peppermint, kelp, alfalfa, allspice, cinnamon, oregano, strawberry leaf, oregano, and many others. I also used my Luck and Prosperity Oils that I've made to anoint the horse shoe, our name papers, and in the spell directly.

So why did I use the horseshoe? Horseshoes are *generally* considered lucky. Having the shoe with the opening facing *up* to collect good luck and good fortune. So I chose to place my cauldron inside the horseshoe with the horseshoe facing "up" to aid in "collecting" and "attracting" good luck and good fortune. Horse shoes also have other uses too. And I can make a post about that by itself.

At the end I did light bay leafs on fire, two with our names and goals on them. Then one to burn away all blockages that may be holding us back. My boyfriend's bay leaf burned all the way while mine didn't fully burn away completely. So I take that this is a good sign for him. I also wrote out our specific intentions on paper and placed them in the cauldron, and used the bay leafs with our names to carry our goals by fire. The flame reached roughly 6 to 7 inches out of the cauldron. So if you choose to work with fire, please take the proper precautions when doing so (aka have your lid ready in case the fire gets out of hand, thankfully mine went back down rather quickly).

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful Summer Solstice! Today was the first "cool" day in the past two weeks. 90F instead of 108F out.

Update on the three day candle spell I did last month! Two of the three things I set intention for seem to be manifesting physically, and with very good results. I will be more specific when I have confirmation but it seems I may end up with my ideal living situation in my desired location, with very little extra effort by me to find something. Additionally, the trust/confidence I set out to increase seems to also be in effect, which in turn is probably helping to bring in the physical returns I asked for in the spell.
