okay so like i j saw smth you said abt wednesday and queerbaiting and like yes yes yes netflix is a little fucker and they absolutely know what they are doing and are doing it on purpose and i hate it sm. bc they are giving us just enough to keep us on our toes hoping and anticipating smth we know we won’t be able to reach yk? it’s like fucking dangling the bait right in front of us and taking it fucking away bc god forbid one of the main characters in a show is a lesbian or in any way a wlw like can’t have that. they have to please rhe heterosexual audience more bc at the end of the day that’s the majority of their audience so they give us enough scraps to be fed but not enough to satisfy our hunger and honestly fuck that. i just hate the way lesbians are treated in netflix and media in general it’s so sad.

yeah it's really frustrating but also i personally do not find it very surprising :/ i will say i do find it more infuriating when corporations like netflix try to act like they're "in on the joke" w queerbaiting like....that whole "conversion therapy" conversation w werewolf girl just felt like such weird pandering and honestly i found it like. offensive in the context of what they were doing lmao like come on man ur gonna make this girl have a whole conversation w her mother abt needing conversion therapy and then skip off to her boyfriend....ok.

but yeah corporate media is never going to provide truly radical or sincere representation when it comes to queerness imo. like we can get certain kinds of representation that is deemed palatable and safe enough but mostly we're just gonna get scraps so i'm like at least make the scavenging FUN. like genuinely queerbait couples like merthur or johnlock or fucking...sam and frodo or that one soccer movie. what's it called. the one with keira knightley. u know what i mean. like THOSE to me feel queerer than whatever tf was going on in wednesday tbh just bc in wednesday it was so manufactured.

Yuan Zong says if he had done that Xia Yao would not have been able to sit comfortably. Xia Yao utters "你。。。" which means 'you', expressing his surprise at Yuan Zong's consideration for him.
