there's just something about "the gang carries a corpse up a hill." something about frank saying that you never leave behind the people that you love and the gang all immediately thinking of charlie, alone and crying and carrying the father who never loved him up a hill. something about this group of people hating each other, vowing to never see each other again, and still meeting up for drinks the next day. there's something about the way that they have been friends for decades and they'll always have each others backs, and even though they find each other frustrating and annoying and cruel and ridiculous, they love each other. against their better judgment, they love each other, and that is so special to me.

Probably been said, but you know, as much as people make the Charlie conspiracy board jokes or doubt themselves about the depth of the show in general or about whether or not Macdennis is gonna be canon, Sunny is one of the literal only shows where nearly every detail feels deliberate to me, even the details that aren't, if that makes any sense, like it's grown in such a way so as to become this whole thing beyond what it ever started out as, and not because of fandom influence, but just because of the natural state of change, where no one sounds like they're grasping at straws or looking too much into it, where there is a structure to trust and they're not just saying it, they’re not fighting it, because I think on some level they know what they've created here, what path they've naturally set in motion and what it means to a lot of people, and I think on every level, they care about what it means to them, personally. The greatest love story ever told is the one that never set out to be one... but the love found them anyway. Sunny is a love story. Sunny is a love story. Sunny is a love story.

this is a whatever detail but i think the gang may have been positioned here based on the ones they love or get paired up with the most being beside (or opposite for charlie and frank's case) them, which means:

mostly said this bc of vibes but it's kinda backed up by this data posted on reddit by user yviews a year ago, which shows which characters get paired up together the most. one of my most favourite sunny post ever i love statistics man

that being said, they all do love each other in their weird little ways of course. just that i think they might have been positioned here to die beside their most loved ones or something which is a nice detail to me if true

Next up for Sunshine Valley AU, Shaun (+Moonpie!)

As Shaun is a canon movie maker, I thought it would be cute to have him be a horror writer in the AU, living in a cabin in the woods neighboring the players own farm. I’d like to think he came to the Valley as a writing retreat, but discovered he loves living in nature, and has taken to country life quite well. He’s no recluse, however, and is more than happy to get to know the player. Although, with someone around to properly take care of the old farm, some forces may start to wonder if the owner of the cabins has outstayed his welcome in the woods…

As far as the history of the Valley is concerned, I have some vague ideas but nothing too concrete. Something along the lines of the town once being owned by a defunct studio once used to encourage people to come visit and settle down, but the studios closure leaving the town a shell of its former self. No one in town discusses this, perhaps because of some great disgrace/tragedy?

Can dementia be prevented?

Reducing the risk of it yeah, w a healthy lifestyle. Preventing it no. The first patient I saw w the specific case of dementia I’m studying is a literal heart surgeon 💀 not the average bear at all. Big brain & healthy (according to his wife) & yet started showing symptoms over a course of 6 years.

It’s so fucking scary what dementia does to you. It’s far from just being cognitive stuff/memory loss. Your behavior changes, your cognitive skills are impaired, your motor skills take a hit. The heart surgeon I’m talking about is struggling w mouth function rn, bc his muscles are atrophying as a direct result of his dementia. He legit went from operating cardiovascular surgeries last October to now not being able to speak. It’s different from case to case, but when it’s aggressive it’s fucking aggressive. The neurologist I’m shadowing was talking about how she doubted if he’d “still be here within the year” and I wanted to throw up bc what do you mean if he’ll still be here!!

why are wrinkles and sagging etc cute and good to add (they are!!) but not fat? charlie is already shorter than most of the rest of the gamg is he not already giving runt of the litter vibes? i really like your art but its incredibly frustrating when people decide they like characters better skinny when theres already such little rep. fat people are cool and hot and dont deserve to be erased!! there are already 3 skinny bitches in the gang is that not enough
