She guessed the only upside was that Artemis didn’t lecture her the same way Luna would. Maybe she had too much in common with her best friend, or she was too good a body double. She rounded a corner too fast and smacked right into someone. She went down, “Oh my god, I’m so sorry,” she said. “I totally wasn’t watching where I was going, I didn’t hurt you did I?”

   see, she’s trying her hardest to seem less disturbed than how she feels, but her hands betray her; tifa stops him by the forearm when the words to call out his name fail her. he can tell something bothers her, pricks at her usual composure, and he listens. encouraged just the right amount by his affirmation, she gathers herself, gathers her words. ah, how to explain it without sounding ridiculous .  .  . ?

   “  it’s just that⸺  ”  releasing her grip on him, she opts to hug her own torso instead,  “  i c - could’ve sworn there was a figure behind you. kind of like .  .  .  ”  kind of like a ghost, she foregoes saying aloud, the sudden hyper-awareness of her little outburst embarrassing her.  “  ahah, ah, i guess i was just imagining things .  .  . who believes in silly things like that, right .  .  . ?  ”
