Trudy's designated cheerleader is @sas-afras! trudy is, as the "town mom" of goodsprings, a representation of the people whose lives will most be affected by the state of the mojave by endgame. someone who just wants to live their life in peace, who has no stake in nor control over what happens to the dam, who no one in power wants to give a fuck about. she is the everywoman!! the proletariat worker!! MY MOM!!!!!!!! the fact that she can die so quickly in the first hour of the game as part of the couriers first "moral choice" (as simplistic as it may be) is a microcosm of that role, and its a shame she didnt get the development time she deserved. i love her and her hidden lesbian polycule. also, i will die on any hill if that hill is a woman. VOTE TRUDY!! Trudy was the twentieth seed in the tournament overall and a semi-finalist in the A-side bracket. She beat Ignacio Rivas, Francine & James Garrett, and Fantastic before being defeated by Keely in tournament semi-finals.

In the interest of avoiding bias, I've refrained from using my platform this way to advocate for my own favorite picks during the tournament (r.i.p. ranger ghost), but now I have no such qualms. Why? Because the tournament is over. We have a winner! Beatrix Russell, a phenomenal and worthwhile character who's funny, rowdy, sexy, filthy, old, weird, rough, and immediately fascinating fights for her life to get the title belt, and now my opposing cheerleader refuses to recognize the results? The audacity! The shamelessness! The Fallout: New Vegas Minor Character Poll tournament blog would ordinarily not even entertain such audacious claims of illegitimacy, but if my opponent wants Trudy to step back into the ring so bad, then by God, she can step in the ring. We'll all go one last time. But Trudy's in over her head: Beatrix has won every bracket she's entered in a landslide. Meanwhile Trudy got knocked out by Keely, who Beatrix beat! See, Trudy, the numbers don't lie: and they spell disaster for you in the superfinals. Beatrix was the seventh seed in the tournament overall and the winner of the tournament overall. She beat Chomps Lewis, the Lonesome Drifter, Siri, Daisy Whitman, No-Bark Noonan, and Keely to become the grand champion.

It’s Fine Press Friday!

In the spirit of Christmas’s arrival in three days, we present a small Christmas-themed book entitled An Alphabet of Christmas Words, published in 1966. The book is a dictionary of holiday terms, with corresponding illustrations. Entries were selected and edited from the Oxford English Dictionary by American writer Helen McKelvey Oakley (1906-2003), who explains that her “interest [in this project] lies in seeing how The Dictionary treats [each term].” The accompanying illustrations are by Ursula Suess (b. 1924), a graphic designer, calligrapher, and artist. Most recently, her art was shown in a 2022 solo exhibition at the Tubac Center of the Arts in Tubac, Arizona.

An Alphabet of Christmas Words was offset printed in Times Roman on Mohawk Superfine Text paper by Hallmark Lithographers Inc. in an edition of 360 copies, published by the Oxford University Press and designed by Ursula Suess and the press's art director and vice president John Begg (1903-1974). Also included with this book are two small season’s greetings cards from the press; one has Begg’s name printed on it and the other has “from Ursel and Mutti” inscribed in black ink.

What's the best thing to do with a mon that can turn from zero to hero? A superhero movie franchise!

'SuperFin' would be like Paldean Superman too. He'd also have several movies and a TV show, with at least one of the movies being not as good as the rest. Pink wouldn't pay attention to the critics and think that all the movies were awesome, though.

Alongside Pink, other mons that she would see at Mesagoza Cinema would be Sidney, Noah, Sulfur, Chester and Peseta. After seeing a movie, they would discuss it. The discussions would end up turning into arguments as they talk about what they liked most from the one they had seen.

Pink hasn't seen a wild Palafin, though. They're quite elusive, only coming out when someone is struggling at sea. They don't always succeed when they go to save someone, as they often have to compete with Dragonite. She's also heard that human trainers can have them, mostly from news about local tournaments in Mesagoza(which is a reference to VGC competitions).

Finch: Self-Care Pet 🐦

So I found this app called “Finch” and I never post about any apps but this one I just downloaded from TikTok last night and so far, it’s making me feel more positive. I added the link to this photo if you’re interested in trying it.

I get easily distracted and procrastinate fairly bad. I’m not disciplined at all 😝 unless I’m listening to music, it’s hard to focus on most things I need to get done. This app of course has options that cost money but some of the app is free. I love that it’s asking me to reflect on moments in my life where I felt positive. It gives you task to complete as well.

It asked me to reflect on moments where I felt really positive and I noticed all of the moments involved drinking coffee, watching the sun rise in the morning and listening to music. Haha It asked me to do something I enjoy and then write about it:

So of course I chose to watch the music video to “Superfine”- Fly by the Midnight. My hot take it, the music video is boring until about 2:15 into the song, it sorta picks up but basically is doing the same thing throughout. The song itself is FIRE 🔥 It gives me such a dopamine hit. I feel accomplished when I watch a music video 🧐 What does that means? LOL

Superfine was an alternative rock band active from 1995 - 2003. They appear in Season 1 Episode 4 "Teacher's Pet", performing "Already Met You" as Xander walks up to the stage and attempts to engage with the lead singer (he is promptly ignored) and in a later scene, "Stoner Love".

K's Choice are a Belgian rock band formed in the early 90s by brothers Sam Bettens (vocals) and Gert Bettens (keyboards/guitar). Despite having opened for Alanis Morissette on tour, and reaching platinum status in their home country, they remain relatively unknown in the states.

The Band appears in Season 3 Episode 16 "Doppelgangland", performing "Virgin State of Mind" as the newly transported to this universe Vamp!Willow wanders the Bronze in confusion

Iceland are sending Diljá to Eurovision with Power! This is definitely a good choice - it's a good pop song, and I really enojyed Diljá's performance tonight, much more than I did in the semi actually! She's a great singer, and her performance tonight was energetic and engaging. The staging here was very simple, just a fog machine and some clips of flowers and fungi growing - I guess that's meant to represent her growing past this person she sings about. It's an ok concept but I'd be happy if they reworked it for Liverpool. I have no idea how this will fare in the contest, Iceland are in the second semi which feels quite open. I reckon if she performs like she did tonight she stands a decent chance of going through! Either way I wish her the best of luck!

got some merino combed top wool in beautiful colours to spin, and i tell ya, it's gonna be hard going back to the dorset felting wool, this stuff is sooooo smooth and silky and the fibres are so long, it just spins up incredibly fine thread so easily.

I take back all the bitching i ever did about merino being everywhere, this stuff is fucking delightful. I have the urge to do a burn test to make sure this is in fact 100% wool, my unfamiliarity with it makes me doubt lol
