SuperWonder Weddings
I’ve been feeling in a SuperWonder wedding mood, so I thought I’d put a little post together with their wedding pictures, for others to enjoy too.
Tumblr media
The first two visuals for what a SuperWonder wedding would look like are provided to us by Lois Lane actually, in Superman’s Girlfriend, Lois Lane #93 (1969), when Clark and Diana are fake-dating for an issue and Lois imagines their wedding not once but twice. So, thanks for those visuals, Lois.
Tumblr media
The next time we are treated to their wedding happens in Wonder Woman Vol 1 #300 (1983), in a What If? dream-scenario where Diana is stuck in a dream world where it’s Clark who was stranded on Themyscira, leading to their wedding.
Tumblr media
The third time is the exact same plotline as the last, but in an extended (and much more positive manner - Diana retreats into her mind, more willingly in this scenario, into a world where she gets to be in a happy relationship with Clark, and the two of them get married in Wonder Woman Vol 2 #141 (1999) with Bruce as their best man. Finally with a full wedding dress and all!
Tumblr media
With our next one, I’m admittedly not entirely sure how to classify it. In Wonder Woman Vol 2 #226 (2006), Diana thinks about her relationship with Clark a lot, with a recurring motif of tabloid covers that seem to be in-universe. But the very last page of the issue seems to open up the multiverse and the headlines of the tabloids of other Earths, as we see some Wonder Men and Superwomen, as well as this cover too - the wedding of Wonder Woman and Superman.
So, I assume this is meant as the actual tabloid cover from an unnamed Earth where Clark and Diana factually did get married. I’d love to hear more about this Earth.
Tumblr media
Now, this one... not the happiest of weddings, but let’s just go for the visual alone, shall we? Justice League Beyond 2.0 #20 (2013) shows us the wedding of Diana of Earth-12 and Clark of Earth-50, aka Lord Superman. Not the happiest version of SuperWonder, but at least it produced Zod-Ur, who is probably my favorite SuperWonder child. And it is a beautiful wedding dress.
Tumblr media
Diana and Clark’s wedding in the Elseworlds story Distant Fires (1998)! This oneshot could be so good if it didn’t take a nosedive after page 50, alas, at least we did get a SuperWonder wedding officiated by J’onn.
Tumblr media
Our last wedding picture, or at least the last wedding picture that I am aware of (and if there are more SuperWonder weddings that are not listed here, please let me know!) was the wedding of Clark and Diana in Justice League of America Vol 2 #25 (2008), where it turns that the goddess Anansi is apparently a SuperWonder shipper too, because she creates an alternate timeline where the two of them are getting married. The timeline is later on destroyed though, but the beautiful wedding dress stays with us.
I still can’t believe that the most prominent SuperWonder Earth never gave us a wedding picture, even though Kingdom Come included a bunch of picture-perfect epilogue endings.

Reasons why the rest of the JL believes Batman and all of his children are metas/cryptids
-Weirdly good instincts
-They only see the bat and kids at night
-Hasn’t died
-If they have died, they came back within the year
-The JL has seen all of them at one point or another stay up for 96 hours straight and act semi-normally
-One time Batman was stabbed and started bleeding green(it was slime Bruce packed for kids to play with if they were at a crime scene)
-Red Robin didn’t cry while watching A Dogs Purpose for Young Justice’s movie night(he did, the mask hid his tears)
-They all know an absurd amount of Golf facts
-Somehow none of them age
-All of them are friends with a super
Wonder Women has the list and they update it after every mission.

AU Where the Justice League forms as usual except for one slight difference where Bruce just so happens to have been the one superheroing for the longest. (Excluding Diana, who got up to it in World War 1 and then mostly didn't while she learned about Man's World)
Bruce helps form the Justice League, ignoring all of the comments as they come to the sudden realization that Gotham's baby cryptid story is actually a man in a very intimidating armored suit who can and will break your arm if you cause problems for him. They are unaware that this is not the first team he's led, and actually he's used to teams full of mostly teenagers who also happen to be his children. This should be easier, this team is primarily adults.
He realizes rapidly that he doesn't understand these people.
His kids take bonding activities to mean learning a dozen different ways to break someones leg. That doesn't fly with these people. And that is most of Bruce's ideas, hell when he was a kid Alfred took every opportunity to get him out of his room and mostly that was with the agreement that Alfred would teach him how to defend himself. He's come by it honestly.
This team is not easier. They have more drama than when his house was actually full of kids. It's insane. He doesn't know what to do with it, usually he just sent the kids to their rooms or grounded them from patrol. That doesn't work here.
He comes to a strange crossroads. That falls apart when he forgets who he's working with and snaps at Hal with a full room of heroes that the next person to throw a punch or an insult without a reason too will be sparring with him.
A long standing rule in the batcave that worked two fold to prevent infighting between the kids and too ensure that they were well and truly trained.
It works wonders. No one says a word out of line for the rest of the debrief. Bruce becomes the unofficial mediator of the league over Clark because anytime he walked in on a fight it suddenly became 10 times more civil out of sheer terror of what he'd do to them in a sparring match.
Eventually they actually meet his kids. Well, one kid.
Half way through a mission (one of the rare ones in Gotham) the Bat comes to a complete stop at the edge of an alley. Every single league member on the team comes to a stop behind him. Slowly from the shadows of the alley a man in a red helmet stalks out to greet them.
"You don't call, you don't write"
"Red Hood."
"Don't Red Hood me! We've been worried sick!"
"I was at the cave last night."
"You didn't answer my texts B. You always answer my texts."
Somehow it ends with big and scary following them through the rest of the mission with a running commentary of how much Bats has let him down in his failure to respond in a timely manner to a text send less than an hour before he ran into them in the alley. It only ends when Red Robin shows up.
And even then it only ends because Hood can't keep himself from throwing a punch and Bruce has to snap at him that if he throws another one they're sparring when they get home.
And by god is Jason giving up the chance to punch his brothers.
