[Video] CARY teilt Video zu "Weisser Staub"!

Die letzten Monate verliefen für die Leipziger Künstlerin CARY mehr als erfogreich. So spielte sie im November gefeierte Supportshows für Lina Maly und Raum27, wurde von MDR Sputnik für den NEW MUSIC AWARD nominiert, und veröffentlichte Ende Januar zusammen mit Crystal F den Song "Einzelkampf" der bei Spotify bereits knapp 150k Streams aufweisen kann. 26.04.2019 Berlin - Columbiahalle / Donots 25th Birthday Slam

Ich beginne den Tag in Hamburg mit einem Kaffee, einem Butter-Croissant und sicherheitshalber mit einer kleinen Ibuprofen 600. Letztere ist vor allem deswegen nötig, weil es in der Nacht zuvor nach Ankunft im Hotel von Max, Bobbes und mir noch als eine extrem gute Idee empfunden wurde, auf keinen Fall direkt ins Bett zu gehen, sondern sich hinter (!) einer Aral-Tankstelle (!) noch ein weiteres (!) Bier einzuverleiben.

Hat sich aber auch gelohnt. War ein guter Abend. So wie diese ganze Mini-Tour einfach schon ne spitzen Tour ist. Es ist einfach eine großartige Sache wenn in allen Bands und deren Crews nur nette, coole und sympathische Menschen sind und weit und breit kein Vollidiot in Sicht ist. Schön sowas.

Auf der kurzen Fahrt von Hamburg nach Berlin lese ich im KICKER, dass mein Lieblingsfussballverein immer noch jeden Monat 366 000 Euro an frühere angestellte (Trainer, Manager usw.) überweist, weil sie zwar längst gefeuert wurden, aber eben immernoch beim Verein unter Vertrag stehen. Das heißt, selbst wenn wir unsere komplette Crew wegen zu guter Arbeit irgendwann rauswerfen, wollen die wahrscheinlich trotzdem weiterhin Geld von uns haben. Dann können wirs ja gleich so lassen wie es ist. Muss ich nochmal in Ruhe drüber nachdenken.

An der Columbiahalle angekommen fällt uns direkt auf, dass die Donots schon wieder seit Stunden Soundcheck machen. Ich weiß echt nicht so recht, was da bei denen los ist aber normal ist das ja alles nicht. Unser Soundcheck dauert heute überdurchschnittlich lange sieben Minuten und danach ist Sibbi schon leicht gereizt weil er sich von so „Überflüssigkeiten nicht die Zeit stehlen“ lassen will. Musikmachen ohne Publikum vor der Bühne ist einfach nicht so unser Ding.

Die GeburtstagsDonots haben heute auch wieder famose Gäste für ihre Show am Start. Unter anderem sind Kollegen von der Antilopen Gang, Turbostaat, Evil Jared usw. zugegen. Zum Essen gibt es Brotsalat mit Pestonudeln. Man kann sich ja kaum vorstellen wie gut simple Pestonudeln schmecken können, wenn das Pesto selbst- und dann auch noch gut gemacht ist. Oder heißt das der Pesto? Oder die Pesto? Das Pesto, Basta. Wobei es bei Pasta ja „die“ Pasta heißt. Aber das ist ja auch was ganz anderes wieder.

Unsere Auftrittszeit wurde heute auf 19.15Uhr, also den späten Nachmittag, festgelegt und allen Befürchtungen zum trotz war die ausverkaufte Columbiahalle schon zu dieser unchristlichen Zeit komplett voll und nach einer grundsympathischen Ansage der Donots, rennen wir auf die Bühne und der Laden geht steil. Das hat sich wirklich angefühlt wie eine Headlinershow und wir können nur zahlreiche Kniefälle vor dem krassen Donots Publikum machen. Wie ihr da bei drei Bands bis zum Ende durchfeiert und abgeht, ist wirklich mehr als beachtlich. Das war heute auf jeden Fall eine der besten Supportshows, die wir jemals spielen durften.

Nach uns dann wieder Anti Flag aus Pittsburgh/Pennsylvania, die einfach immer noch eine der besten Punkbands der Welt sind und im Anschluss explodiert die Halle als die Geburtstagskinder sich endlich blicken lassen. Die Donots hangeln sich über zwei Stunden lang durch ihre gesamte Diskographie und Sibbi und mir fallen bei den ganz alten Songs immer wieder kleine Freudentränen aus den Augen. Was uns die Band damals – Ende der 90er- bedeutet hat, ist kaum in Worte zu fassen und jetzt so lange schon mit ihnen befreundet zu sein und immer wieder die Bühne zu teilen, ist einfach eine unbezahlbare Sache.

Danke an jeden einzelnen der an dieser Tour beteiligt war. Tausend Grüße an all die lieben Freunde, die wir in den drei Städten mal wieder sehen durften und auf weitere 25 Jahre Donots. Uns kriegt ihr ebenso nicht los.
