About - Suwa and Kakeru, after saving Kakeru What happens? - Everything's back to normal again. Except it's not, not anymore. Kakeru's here. Days are never normal with this guy... Suwa thinks. But that's fine, he likes it like this just fine.

-Basically, it's just the two of them, nothing else. They just chilling

Suwa - Kakeru

Right, march was here. 

It's been a week, and all was well. It was just an ordinary day, back to normal. Everything was fine. 

Suwa sees the sunrise for the first time properly after a while. It's pretty. 

Morning practice, here I come! 

He wonders what the sunset would look like. If the day went well, orange skies were what he would be seeing later. 

He arrives at school, then to the field. He sees the club warming up. He sees Kakeru warming up. 

"Kakeru!" His chest felt clear. 

Kakeru turns at him, and smiles softly. "Good morning, Suwa." 

Thank you gods above, Suwa thought. 

Kakeru was here, smiling. 

What would Suwa think right now if he wasn't seeing Kakeru at this moment? 

He gives him the muscle hugs that seem to choke Kakeru, but they're quite comforting. Not like Kakeru would admit so. 

"S-Suwa.! Stop!" He pleads, yet still he laughs at the same time. 

"Kakeruuuuu!" 

Hagita, ever so early, watches from a distance. 

"Good riddance to those two…"  He says, disgusted with slight embarrassment. 

He walks away grinning anyway. 

But from an even farther view, Naho, Azu and Tatako are laughing– perhaps at them. 

That night, around 8pm, would become one of his horrible memories to remember. 

The terror he felt, his heart aching as he ran— His whole body, soul, hurt for him.

As he ran, thoughts ran also. 

Suwa wished Kakeru would regret everything. 

Suwa wished Kakeru was scared. 

He wished Kakeru was scared to lose his life. 

He wished Kakeru would cry as his heart ached for survival. 

What horrible thoughts, but it was hope for him. 

That guy, that sad yet ever-smiling guy who was just laughing away with them yesterday, why isn't he here?

Suwa felt his own tears. Where would that guy go besides us? He thought he was reliable, and he is. He knows he is. 

Suwa is indeed reliable. He's strong. He's been strong and reliable, because Kakeru was here, back with them. 

Everyone ran to him in haste. They needed to go see him. Suwa wanted to slap him, Kakeru needed to know how hurt he was. Kakeru needed to know how hurt Suwa felt that he couldn't even tell him his hurtings. 

But, it can wait. It can wait for a while now. 

"Are you hurt?" Everyone was drenched in sweat. Everyone was close to tears. 

Kakeru looked down, guilty and shaking. He shook his head. 

"What were you thinking?!" Suwa let his heart rip. What would he do if Kakeru actually died back there? His life wouldn't be the same, right. If Kakeru died there, he'd quit the soccer club, hardly eat cafeteria bread, or anything else that they did together. 

If Kakeru died there, he'd lose a good portion of his world. 

Kakeru looks at all of them in a trembling sight. He looks at Suwa, begging for comfort. Naho is also there, she bends close to Kakeru while Suwa holds his hand tightly. 

"I-I wanted to die. I felt the need to… apologize to my mom, but I couldn't. I looked forward to what things we'd do together tomorrow." 

Kakeru thought about tomorrow. 

Suwa's face muscle tension releases. 

"I wanted to live." He finally says. 

"I'm glad you did." Kakeru smiles at Suwa. He's crying. 

If you asked who was crying, why would you assume only one of them was? 

They eat together near the field. It's just the two of them today. 

"Kakeru, try this pizza bread." He waved it around in front of the other. 

Kakeru looked at it curiously; he's never tried it. "Okay." 

Suwa breaks off a piece for him to try. 

"This is a big piece… I'm not sure I could finish it. I'm pretty full…" 

"Oh, stop bragging about your homemade meal." Suwa pouted, hitting Kakeru's back. He laughed back. 

"Then try some." Suwa looked at him eagerly. He knew Naho's home cooking was beyond tasty. 

They ate their exchanged meals. Kakeru had barely eaten a little of the meal, so Suwa didn't hold back. Of course, with permission to eat so much. 

"You're damn lucky, best meal I've ever tasted! " Suwa smiled, hugging Kakeru by the shoulder. 

"It's Naho's cooking, obviously!" He grinned proudly. 

Suwa looked at Kakeru's hand. He was holding an empty tissue. The tissue Suwa gave to him when he gave a piece of pizza bread to Kakeru. 

"Ah! You finished all that!?" He gasped exaggeratingly. "And he said he was full.." Suwa grinned cheekily, then sighed. 

Kakeru blushed, embarrassed. 

"Luckily for you, there's still some time." Suwa stands up while Kakeru looks at him puzzled. 

"Where are you going? We still have 35 minutes left." 

"Oh I know, let's get you some more pizza bread!"

Kakeru stands up, making a funny face. "Huh?! Me? I think it's you that wants more…" 

"But you probably still want some too. " Suwa sighed. 

"I do actually, yeah." He deadpanned. 

"When did the cafeteria get so good at making pizza bread?!?!!??!" Kakeru eats his second pizza bread, enjoying the realistic pizza taste. 

"Makes your tongue melt in flavor! I, the Uncle Roger of Matsumoto, declares this pizza bread better than any ex-wife!" 

Kakeru giggled. "Is Suwa suddenly the Uncle Roger of Matsumoto? What happened to Messi?" 

"I still am!" 

They bantered for a long time until running out of topics to talk about. Usually, eating outside meant the sun would shine intensely hot, but today wasn't sunny at all. It's unusually cloudy, but without being gloomy. 

"Kakeru, what color would the sunset be? What do you think?" 

"Blue. The sun would probably be covered by these thick clouds." He sipped on his iced tea. 

"True." 

"But, I think it's fine. We'll see an orange sunset sometime. There's still a chance for tomorrow." 

At that moment, Kakeru looked pleasantly at the sky. The look he gave it was a look he gave Suwa this morning earlier. 

"Yeah." He grinned softly. "The sunrise a while ago was pretty though. Did'ya see it?" 

"Oh Yeah. It was really beautiful."

Suwa felt something next to Kakeru. He looks at the other. The clouds reflected onto his eyes. 

"What is Kakeru? Are you good?" Suwa shifted closer, sternly worried. 

Please tell me, Kakeru. Tell me all those burdens you're suffering. No matter how small, just tell me. 

Kakeru moves his shoulder back, signaling something uneasy. 

"I…"

"You can tell me anything."

His eyes glimmered at Suwa. He looked away for a while. 

"Did you mean it? I mean– did you really feel the true means to save me? Or was it the letters?" Kakeru tries covering the hint of guilt in his voice. 

Suwa held his breath. He looked at Kakeru with sucked-in cheeks. He didn't like the question. "What do you mean?" 

"Am I just an obligation to you guys? Be honest. Haha." 

This guy still had the audacity to laugh. 

Ah. 

Suwa felt angry. What the hell is this guy going on about?

Kakeru was asking if we even genuinely enjoyed being his friend. 

"You have to hear, do you? Fine!" Kakeru flinched at Suwa's sudden seriousness. He thought that Suwa would joke with him. 

Kakeru thought he sounded like he was joking. He thought Suwa would find it funny. 

Nothing really went past him. 

"You know, we love you too much. You're smiling even when you're hurting. You're always paying attention to small things. You don't like being the main attention, making you not wanna receive your deserved honor."

Suwa looks at Kakeru, straight in the eyes. The clouds didn't reflect on his eyes anymore. It was Suwa's eyes that were reflected instead. 

"The list goes on, Kakeru."

Kakeru feels water up. He looks back at himself, barely smiling now. 

"Same goes to you, Suwa." 

I know. I know you'd say that. 

"Before you came. I couldn't really talk about my interests freely. Hagita sucks, you already know. And, you make each day so much more enjoyable. I feel happy when you're in the room." 

I like being with you, a lot. So don't go away now. 

"Everyone likes being with you, so much."

Kakeru laughs. 

"I like being with you so much too, Suwa." 

Hoh? Suwa smiled a bit proudly at that. 

"Ew Kakeru, say that to Naho only, would you?" 

"Are you saying you don't want to receive it?" Suwa twitched his eyes at Kakeru's literal response. 

"Just… Shut up now." 

"Jeez Suwa, I know I'm charming but you gotta calm down…" 

Oh never mind. This guy was a joke.

"Be sure to pray we aren't gonna be opposing teams later practice, Kakeru…" 

"Woah! Yikes, scary." Kakeru giggled. 

Suwa looked at him annoyingly. "Did that pizza bread have something in it? You're acting so weird!" He turned away from Kakeru, puffing a hmph. 

Kakeru started sarcastically begging Suwa for forgiveness with a mix of laughter. Of course Suwa stayed his stance. Like seriously, what's with this dude?! 

Suwa smiled softly as he received weak punches from Kakeru.

"Hey! You don't punch shrines when you're asking for forgiveness now are you?!" He played along. 

"Suwa-sama is strong, no?" 

Suwa backed up the joke. "Suwa-sama is close to tears. But yes, he is strong."

Laughter. 

BONUS:

After-school practice takes place. Suwa and Kakeru are on the same team. They see the rest of the friend group outside the field, waiting for them. Suwa spotted them first, he grabs Kakeru's wrist to drag him to them.

"Hey!" He waved. Kakeru gave a little smile as he waved too. "Hey Suwa! And Kakeru!" "You two are so sweaty, the practice hasn't even started." A click of tongue "Hi Suwa, Kakeru!. G-Good job from here!"

"Hey."

Kakeru brings his bangs up his forward. "They had us running laps for warm-up. Practice might take long today for some reason. You guys should go home."

"Oh right..." Suwa sighs. "Yeah we can't tag today, we end at seven. Huhu."

"Seven?!" All of them exclaimed.

"Yeah..." Kakeru smiled awkwardly. Although he knew he would get tired, he was excited.

So was Suwa, of course.

The group start packing up, about to leave. "Sheesh, good luck. See you two tomorrow! Let's hang out at PARCO tomorrow, we haven't hung out in a while!" Azu shouts to them as they leave. "Sure!" "Okay, careful back home.!"

"You two... too!" Naho screams shyly. "Come Naho, let's walk home together." "Ah! Thank you Takako."

Their voices eventually faded as they were getting farther.

"Lucky them." 

"Yeah." 

Someone called from a distance. “Naruse, Suwa, gather!”

“Coming!” They both said.

It’s 8:30 pm. The two of them are sitting in a 24/7 coffee shop near the park. Muscles sore, and feet tired, Kakeru and Suwa groan as they slam their heads on the table.

Perhaps, if they were at a normal restaurant they would’ve gotten stares, but this is a coffee shop— everyone is tired.

“I c-can't go home, Kakeru..! I can’t! I don’t want to! I’m so tired!!!” Suwa cried, it felt genuine.

No response from Kakeru.

“Kakeru?”

Suwa get’s curious. Ever since they rested their heads on the table, he’s never moved an inch.

“Kakeru!”

A snore. 

Suwa stares at the resting head in absolute disbelief.

The person in front of him is no longer responsive. His figure is going up and down, bangs flown to the side. Oh.

This guy… downed his coffee in a second and fell asleep right after…

“Why…” Suwa shunned himself, feeling betrayed.

“Why Kakeru!!” He cried sorrowfully.

Suwa falls asleep right after. 15 minutes later.

spoiler warning for the manga orange!

the last manga I read was orange (currently watching the anime). it is such a beautiful story and the entire time I was reading it I was alternating between rooting for the main couple, laughing at the friendship moments, and some sadness over the general struggles of the plot (also some internal raging because DAMMIT NAHO JUST TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL).

one of my favorite things about this manga, though, is how suwa was genuinely ready to throw away the whole future he had the chance to have because he wanted his friend to live. in the original timeline, he got to marry naho, who he was in love with from the beginning.

this man loved naho, but went out of his way to try to get naho and suwa together because he knew they loved each other and he cared a lot about kakeru. he cared about both of them SO MUCH throughout the series and it’s so blatant in all of his interactions with them.

honestly, I feel suwa is so much better at showing how much he loves his friends than any of the main characters. obviously we know they love each other, but he’s the one who goes out of his way to comfort them, hug them, encourage them, etc. dammit, he’s hugged kakeru more than naho! he was the one who hugged kakeru when he was crying in their classroom.

don’t get me wrong, im not saying at all that he loved kakeru more than naho. it’s a huge thing with her and kakeru’s dynamic that they both are awful at showing how they truly feel and opening up, and that’s one of the beautiful things about this story in my opinion. they both worked hard to be able to tell each other how they feel, as that was one of naho’s biggest regrets.

it was just very noticeable to me that he seemed to be the most helpful and kind friend of the group, and also the most selfless when it comes to his own personal effects to pushing them together.

ugh I just love this boy and his love for his friends. he’s just so genuinely kind and it’s such a beautiful part of this story.

[Orange Obikaka AU]

So I had this thought for awhile, and I’ve finally come into terms with it. Figured out the whole plot and whatnot.

A Naruto x Orange AU featuring Obito and Kakashi.

If you don’t know, Orange is a series that revolves around two main characters along with some sides that are there for moral support (platonic wise.) Naho Takamiya is your average school girl. Shy, introverted, sweet, and sickeningly kind. One day she receives a letter from her so called ‘future self.’ In this letter it warns her about certain circumstances, and tells her how to avoid making crucial mistakes. However, all of it revolves around the transfer student. Kakeru Naruse. A troubled and very well hidden boy who goes through a bunch of traumatic events despite his new friends efforts.

This anime has a bunch of angst and sad undertones, as you can pretty much tell by now. Yet, it has some fluff and lighthearted moments as well. All depends on how you play your role.

Now, you might be thinking. Who would be who? Well, Kakashi will obviously be Kakeru Naruse due to the fact that the role fits perfectly. You’ll understand once I explain more, or if you watched the show to begin with. Obito though will NOT be playing as the main, Naho Takamiya, as weird as that sounds considering it’s significant. I see her as Rin. No, he will be acting as Hiroto Suwa. The friend that has a crush on her but is also very self sacrificing, willing to assist just for her sake. Even if it means giving up on his former love.

The twist in this? Kakashi will end up falling for Obito instead of Rin unlike in the past. And Obito in return will also reciprocate these feelings, despite him denying it for awhile due to his morals, knowing that Rin likes Kakashi.

There’s a lot more to go over, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t watched it. If you’re interested in this crossover then just comment on this blog and I’ll send more details regarding this rp idea in pms.
