#I have a truly embarrassing amount of finished sv gifsets just sitting in my drafts so here's another one that's been there for months #smallville #smallvilleedit #lana lang #lex luthor #lexana #dcmultiverse #sv 1x15 #sv 3x20 #my gifs #when lex's big bad ulterior motive was literally just 'I care about you and I really like working together' 😭#and god the visible difference in his body language between these two scenes is so loud #he knows something is Wrong with lana in 1x15 and you can see how closed off/guarded he is because of it #compared to how open and earnest he is with the real lana in 3x20. *that's* the person he cares about and is willing to be honest with #idk if these scenes were actually meant to parallel each other since they're 2 seasons apart #but if it was intentional then that's actually impressive and I'd have to tip my hat to the writers for it (JUST this once)
