Anakin takes his role as a general very seriously, but sometimes he gets tired of giving orders and just needs to follow them
warnings: cursing, pwp, smut, overstim, masturbation (M!), gn reader, degredation(male receiving), shaming, handjob

The council gathered to discuss the next steps the Jedi would take in their involvement in the clone wars; the meeting had gone on for hours- the masters couldn’t seem to agree.
Anakin grew impatient as he sat and listened to the elders bickering over politics; sure he was a general, but he was used to action. Getting things done. Not sitting in a stuffy room creating hypothetical scenarios.
He needed this meeting to be over.
As he leaned back in the chair provided to him (not a seat among the ranked masters) he found his mind wandering. The last battle was long and near the end, it became more so one of attrition rather than power. He had been gone for months and was exhausted. His orders were to return home for a brief period until the council could decide the best course of action- so he thought that meant he would be going directly home…to you.
He was under the impression he was to return to his home on Coruscant to recollect himself before discussing further matters with the council.
In preparation for his return to you, he had shamelessly been edging himself- so long in the tense heat of battle gave him little time to relieve stress.
In a way he took the build up as something to look forward to when he could finally return- something special he could share with you- that would be the most rewarding feeling.
He hadn’t seen you in so long, he hadn’t felt you in so long…hadn't tasted you in so long.
Months away had taken its toll on him in more ways than one; he felt himself becoming more irritable and having a shorter temper than the already short one he was known to have. His fists clenched under his jedi robes as he itched to run home.
He sat with his usual scowl on his shapely face as the others continued to talk.
“Isn’t that right, General Skywlker?” Master Windu asked.
His scarred eye twitched before he was snapped from his thoughts, “Ah, yes- our enemies are becoming weaker as they continue on”.
Master Windu nodded at Anakin in thanks and continued his point. A few other members took Anakin’s statement into consideration.
Little did they know he was hardly listening to them, instead he was trying to keep his pulsing erection hidden from his superiors. He was gripping onto his chair in fear that if he shifted a certain way he wouldn’t be able to subdue the moan building in the back of his throat.
Maker… he needed you.
When he was first deployed he was able to subdue his unnaturally high libido but as the time went on and tensions of the war grew, he needed some relief.
The Jedi would retreat to his tent and grab one of the military-issued rolled-up blankets and toss it onto his cot; after tying it tighter with his belt- it was ready.
He needed something other than his own fist to help him out and at least he could grip around the blanket as if he were gripping onto you.
The first few times he did this he was embarrassed- but he always kind of liked the shame. The famous General Skywalker desperately fucking himself into his blanket in the middle of the night… how pathetic.
He couldn't wait for you to scold him for being such a horny and desperate excuse of a jedi…
He wanted to hear it all.
Oftentimes he would thrust in and out of the bundle so vigorously that he would almost always collapse onto his cot from exhaustion afterwards. He just needed to get all of his cum out… he just had too much.
There were nights where he couldn’t help but moan and pant your pretty name as he bucked his hips into the makeshift pussy
“Meeting adjourned”.
Anakin blinkled himself back to reality and rushed out of the temple with great urgency. His master eyed his eagerness and simply shook his head.
Of course Obi Wan knew about you- he had known Anakin since he was a boy; he could read him like a book.
Also he had heard Anakin practically howling your name in his tent during his nightly walks more times than he would have liked.
But you were good for Anakin, plus Obi-Wan thought highly of you, so he kept his mouth shut.
You were also the only one who could put Anakin in his place.
__________________________________
You sat on the balcony of your large penthouse as you waited for your lover to arrive; Anakin sent you a message yesterday telling you he would be home today, but much to your chagrin the day had almost passed. You were getting a little worried.
Of course, being with a Jedi, you were well aware contact wouldn’t always be available- you had to keep your relationship a secret after all- but it didn’t help your anxiety.
You were about to head back to your room when you heard quick footsteps in the hallway outside of your apartment- could it be?
Before you knew it your door slid open at lightning speed and behind it was a panting Anakin. You took a moment to enjoy the beautiful scene in front of you; Anakin’s hand still outstretched form forcing the door open, his sandy locks windswept (from the speed at which he ran to you, no doubt), and a glint of desperation is his blue eyes.
Perfection.
Finally you gave in to the magnetic force pulling you to your lover and ran towards him with open arms.
“Ani!” you gasped as he met you halfway, engulfing you in a tight embrace.
Your senses filled with his force signature as you buried your face into his neck. His strong hands gripped at your back and he breathed in your sweet scent.
“It’s been too long, Angel,” he sighed into you.
“Too long” you agreed, starting to kiss up his neck.
His body shivered and a small moan escaped his plump lips.
“Fuck baby…” he groaned as he pawed at your ass through your night-robes.
You grabbed his face and pressed your lips into his; the kiss was full of passion and lust. He could barely stop his tongue from exploring your mouth- he just needed you so badly.
“Someone’s impatient” you smirked against his lips.
“You have no idea” he growled as he lifted you up to wrap your legs around his waist.
The way he held you, had your core right next to his bulging erection. He panted as you wiggled your hips against him.
“Lets go to the bedroom” you instructed and he nodded without hesitation.
Once inside you pushed yourself off of him and he backed up with a sad look in his eyes.
“Don’t worry pretty boy, I’ll give you what you want- but first I need to see how badly you really need it” your voice had a lilt of mischief to it.
“Anything- anything for you” he mewed as he began to take the glove around his mechanical hand off.
“On your knees” you demanded. You needed to see just how willing he was.
Without another word the powerful Jedi sunk to his knees and tilted his head up to meet your face. “I need you”.
The desperation in his voice made your spine tingle- he was so deprived. That only made you want to play with him even more.
“Are you sure? You don’t seem like you need my help much- you’re holding yourself together just fine- I might as well just leave the roo-”
“NO!” he exclaimed loudly, reaching for you.
After he realized he raised his voice too loud, he lowered his head, “please don’t go” he whispered.
“What was that baby?” you cooed.
“Please, don’t go- I can’t- I need you” he practically whined.
“Need me to what?” you tormented.
“I need you to touch me- I need you to help me cum” he said ashamedly.
You clicked your tongue and strode towards the man in front of you, “Alright, but you have to ask nicely alright?”.
He nodded vigorously, “Please, Please, I’ll do whatever you ask”.
You smiled and began to undo his robes. Slowly, you removed each strip of fabric from his tired body, every brush making him shiver. A new collection of scars and scrapes has accumulated on his sculpted torso- a beautiful sight. Soon all that was left was his pants, a painfully hard bulge obviously present.
“My poor pretty boy had no one to help him out huh?” you said, slowly pulling his waistband down with your fingers.
He shook his head, “no, no I didn’t”.
You freed his aching member from the constraints of his pants and he moaned as it slapped against his stomach. Anakin was truly a sight to behold; standing at 8.5 inches, a prominent vein running up his left side, his blushing red tip already leaking with precum.
Maker.
You bit your lower lip in anticipation- it took all of your willpower not to take him into your mouth then and there… but you needed to play with him some more- it would make the release all the much better.
You wrapped your fingers around him; he was hot to the touch and pulsating. He groaned and tossed his head back. With a smirk you pumped his length a few times before he began to move his hips with the up and down motion of your hand.
Once you could tell he was lost in the feeling, you removed your hand and his eyes shot open with desperation; he practically whimpered for you to continue.
“Are you sure you’ve been a good boy? I think you haven’t waited for me” you scolded.
You didn’t care if Anakin jerked off or not, but it was very enticing to berate him for doing so when it got such a visceral reaction from him.
“I-I tried not to, I really did, but wit-” he stuttered, dick still twitching.
You put on a fake displeased look and got up to take a seat in the chair adjacent to your shared bed; leaving a disheveled and agonizingly horny Anakin with a look of confusion.
“Go ahead.” you ordered.
He fixed his posture and sat on his knees once more on the plush bed, “I don’t understand-”.
“If you like the company of your own hand so much, go ahead and pleasure yourself” you said, crossing your legs.
He gave you a defeated look, “Angel, please”.
“I’m waiting.”
He huffed out a few curses under his breath before he brought his remaining human hand to his mouth and spit. This was humiliating- he was so exposed (but there was a certain allure to that).
He would never admit to anyone but you, but something about being belittled and degraded resonated with a deep part of him. All his life he had been taking orders, it was his nature by now.
“Show me how you did it while you were away, I know you needed to use something other than your hand”
The judgment in your sultry voice made his cock pulsate, Maker he loved your sweet degradations.
He grabbed a blanket and his utility belt to form a model of what he had been shooting his load into for the past few months. He mounted the bundle and began to thrust himself in and out, moans building at every snap of his hips.
Your eye twitched as you watched the scene infront of you- he was so desperate for you that he had been fucking his own bedding in wait to return to you.
Anakin was lost in the familiar pleasure of the plush blanket around himself, but the fact that he could feel you in the room was throwing him off- how could this be enough to make him cum when he could feel your presence right there.
Why would he waste his high on this when he could have you instead?
Between thrusts he managed his deep blue eyes open to see you had moved from your chair to his side. He gasped at the sensation of your cold hand on the base of his neck. You dragged your nails down his back and basked in the melodious noises he made.
You grabbed a fistful of his sandy locks and pulled his face back to look at you
“Do you even hear yourself right now Anakin, you’re moaning like a bitch in heat.”
Yes. more.
“If only those so frightened of you knew what a submissive little slut you really are; how does your battalion even take you seriously?” you taunted, standing behind him to wrap your arms around his waist.
“Fuck” he sputtered out… don’t stop.
At this point he was violently bucking his hips into the blanket, messy hair falling into his eyes, chest heaving with each snap.
“Do you want me to touch you, baby?” you whispered into his ear.
His whole body quivered at the feeling of your breath against him.
“Y-yes”
“How much do you want me t-”
“I need you! I can’t- I- Fuck!” he whined.
He was close- just a little more
The smile on your face widened and you kissed his temple before slipping your hand down his v line and finally grasping his dick- he gasped at the pressure and the coolness of your hand against his hot skin.
He leaned his head back against your shoulder as you worked on him. The overstimulation was insane- he whole body shuddered with each stroke of your hand.
“You’re so pathetic Anankin, does anyone actually respect you? Look at yourself” you taunted as you squeezed the tip of his pulsing cock garnering beads of milky precum.
He pried one of his eyes open to see the sweaty mess between his legs, precum coated his thighs, his dick, and your hands. Maker.
So close.
You took your other hand to grab around his neck, “cum for me like the good slut you are”.
There it was.
Anakin exploded in your grasp, milky cum erupted from his overworked tip. His moans rang through the walls of your bedroom and his whole body spasmed with each wave of his high. He wasn’t sure of anything in that moment except for the pleasure that filled his body.
“F-fuck fuck” he stuttered, grabbing onto your with his mechanical arm; cold metal clawing at you flesh.
His cock finally settled down, only a few twitches here and there. The scene in front of him was his ruined sheets and ropes of white.
He leaned against you as he caught his breath.
“That’s my good boy” you praised, brushing his sweaty locks from his forehead.
He whimpered at your words because his aching cock responded to your praise.
“It looks like you want more; would I be correct, or are you too tired to continue?” you smirked.
He opened his eyes and weakly propped himself up, “m-more, I can do more- need to please you” he insisted.
“please me then Ani” you cooed into his ear, running your hands up his chest.
“please me with your mouth, please me with your cock…” you trailed off before he closed his eyes once more.
And with what seemed to be a flip of a switch, he grabbed you with his strong hands and flipped you onto your back.
“I’ll show you how much of a good boy I can be”

Flutter
Hunter x F!Reader fic!
I'd like to dedicate this one to the amazing @amorfista
You are amazing! <3
Title: Flutter Pairing: Hunter x F!Reader Rating: M (suggestive language, swearing) Warnings: Pregnancy, angst, mild panic, sickness, vomiting 7202 words
Summary: You've suspected your sickness every morning might be related to something more than you first assumed. When Tech confirms your suspicions, you have you find a way to tell Hunter...
A/N: This is a pregnancy reveal fic at it's core, established relationship between Hunter and F!Reader. Non descriptive reader, pet names in mando'a.
Tumblr media
“You are pregnant.”
Tech’s simple statement caught you off guard as you exited the fresher, eyes widening at the goggled pilot. His attention was still firmly on his datapad, fingers dancing over the screen, expression set into one of concentration.
The words had been said without malice, without any emotion, really. Just a fact that he had decided to share, one that made your breath catch in your throat.
“W-What? Tech, I…”
Stumbling over your words, you looked cautiously towards Hunter’s bunk, your lover still thankfully asleep with his earpieces in, relaxed and even more gorgeous in sleep.
“You have not experienced a menstrual cycle in two standard months, you are experiencing vomiting each morning aligned with morning sickness and our store of corellian greembark slices has rapidly depleted despite your apparent distaste for them,” he explained quickly, eyes darting up to meet yours for a brief moment before returning to his data, scrolling through it.
Blinking slowly as you took in the information, you felt your stomach churn uncomfortably.
You’d been suspecting for a while, the tightness of your breastband one of the first giveaways, along with the almost constantly tingling in your nipples. When the cravings began and you found yourself sneaking out into the kitchen area to grab the barely touched jar of greembark, wincing as you bit into them and chewed the rough surface but unable to stop yourself from going back for more, you were almost convinced.
This assessment from Tech, along with the positive test you’d just used in the fresher, now discarded and wrapped in at least 6 layers of paper before being put into the trash, was the final piece of the puzzle.
“You’re… you’re right,” you sighed shakily, your throat beginning to constrict a little. The familiar pressure of tears forming in your eyes caused your breath to hitch, Tech’s expression changing to one of uncertainty as he looked back up at you, taken aback by your response. “You’re right, Tech, and… I’m so… I’m terrified,” you admitted, a tear escaping to roll down your cheek.
And you were terrified.
How could you not be?
You were on a modified attack shuttle barely big enough for the five of you, hurtling through hyperspace, on the run from the Empire who wanted nothing more than to capture Omega and kill the rest of you. It wasn’t exactly the best situation to bring a baby into.
“A normal emotional response, caused by hormone fluctuations and situational stress,” Tech shrugged, stepping back to allow you to pass towards the cockpit. “Are you going to tell Hunter when he wakes?”
Cold panic flooded your system, catching yourself on the doorway as you went to brush past Tech, your feet catching on the floor. Reaching out to steady yourself, Tech noticed the shaking of your limbs, the pure, unadulterated terror in your expression, and paused, his gaze firmly fixed on you.
He could read all of the signs of the impending panic attack, the reaction in your pupils, the slight pursing of your lips as you struggled to draw in breath, the drain of colour from your skin.
“Ad’ika, your physical state could harm the child if prolonged,” he protested against the behaviour, unable to understand what had caused such a reaction. Was it the discovery of your pregnancy? It had seemed so obvious to him for around a week now, he was unsure how the others hadn’t noticed. “I suggest you sit down. I will wake Hunter, and…”
“No!” you gasped suddenly, voice trembling, “Please, Tech…”
Reaching out, you grabbed onto his forearm, not missing the look of discomfort that flashed across his features but desperate to convince him. “You can’t tell him, you… I need time, to decide what I… If I…”
Trailing off, the lump in your throat grew more and more, tears streaming down your face now.
This decision was literally life-changing.
On one hand, the idea of having a child with Hunter, one the two of you had come together to make, was something that made your heart swell. He would be a wonderful father, you knew. You’d seen him with Omega and thought about it for some time now.
But on the other hand… If you were ever caught or killed, what would the Empire delight in doing to the child of an enhanced clone?
They would be tortured, experimented on, dissected…
The mere thought had bile climbing up your throat for the second time that morning. Pressing a hand over your lips, you released your grip on Tech and sprinted back into the fresher, barely making it in time to empty what little remained of your stomach contents into the bowl.
Kneeling in front of it, sobs began to rack your body, limbs trembling. The burning of your throat and awful taste of bile on your tongue made you feel worse, your back and chest aching from the second bout of violent vomiting.
It was all too much. The revelation, the thoughts about your future, the idea Tech might tell Hunter… He had a right to know, but…
“Not now,” you pleaded through your sobs, eyes creased shut against the world, your body going limp over the fresher as you cried, “not… I need time, I… please…”
The hand that found your back was firm, comforting and definitely not Tech’s, you realised as calloused skin slipped under your sleep shirt, deft fingers tracing soothing circles over your back.
“It’s okay, cyar’ika,” Hunter’s smooth, low voice rumbled over you, comfort and anxiety both flooding you in equal amounts. Unable to meet his gaze, you simply collapsed against him, sobbing against his firm, bare chest. Strong arms held you tightly as he lowered you to the floor, his other hand moving to cord through your sweat soaked hair, “Tech, you got any hydration packets?”
A murmur came from outside, unintelligible to you as Hunter cooed more words of comfort into your ear, careful as he picked you up and held you tight against him, carrying you out of the fresher and towards the bunk room.
“It’ll pass, mesh’la,” Hunter reassured you as he laid you in his bunk, sitting on the edge and taking a hydration pack from Tech, releasing the straw and putting it to your lips. A strong arm still held your shoulders, urging you to sit while he watched you take tentative sips, eyes bleary and unfocused, “Everything’s okay.”
“S’not though,” you managed after a moment, your breath hitching. Hunter noticed your gaze darting around the bunk, focusing on everything except him, his chest clenching a little. Were you still having nightmares? He could smell the fear on you, overriding everything else, hear the pounding of your heart, sense the tenseness of your muscles.
“It will be,” he reassured you gently, leaning forward to press a gentle kiss to your forehead, sighing in contentment as your scent flooded him once more. “I promise you. I will never let anything happen to us, okay? You’re safe. We’re safe. Together, always.”
“Together, always,” you murmured automatically, lips turning up into a tiny smile. It had been your promise to each other, first made after your initial fumble together in the bunks after months of yearning turned into a relationship.
Leaving Kamino with your squad had never been a question, even if it had meant a blaster shot to the shoulder and a bounty out for your arrest.
None of it mattered. All that mattered was their safety. Omega’s presence had been odd, yet not unwelcome, and now you struggled to remember a time when she wasn’t with you, even war time memories hazed with her.
She was her brothers in every way and more; strong, principled, stubborn and brave, everything a soldier should be, and yet she still carried a childish innocence to her that betrayed her true nature. It was equal parts inspiring and heartbreaking, and she had clung to you like a life raft, clutching you at night and crying out her fears, listing off her dreams and plans for adventure, a piece of your heart shifting to accommodate her as a mixture of sister and daughter.
It was what had pushed Hunter over the edge, in the end. After Salucemi, after his conversation with Omega, you’d been furious he could have even considered leaving her behind, and even moreso that he didn’t discuss it with the rest of you.
What began as an argument turned into a bruising kiss inside your semi-private quarters in the medical bay, your hands pinned by his above your head as lips too soft to be real danced across your skin, lower and lower until you came together like puzzle pieces.
Belonging. It was the only way you could describe it. Hunter was like home, warm, safe and comforting. Familiar.
There were no regrets, just an immediate shift into a relationship which, by all rights, had been there before anything physical. He’d held you close in the morning, kissing you as you woke and making you a promise.
“No matter what, we stay together.”
You’d nodded, smiling brightly before kissing him once more, lost in the elation of your new bond.
“Always.”
Even now, curled up in his bunk as he stroked your hair and calmed you, the memories were as fresh as the day you made them.
You would never have guessed that a mere standard cycle later, you would be here, with Echo, your best friend and confidant back on Coruscant with Rex and the flutterings of life beginning to form inside you. What you wouldn’t give to have Echo here now. He always seemed to know the answer, to know what to do.
The pain of his departure hit anew, more tears slipping down your cheeks as Hunter passed the hydration pack back to Tech and crawled into his bunk alongside you, wrapping himself around you in a protective cocoon.
“It’s okay, cyare,” he breathed, littering kisses into your hair, hands smoothing over your sides, offering as much physical comfort as he could. “Whatever is wrong, we’ll get through it.”
The panic in your chest subsided slightly; at least he didn’t know, for now. Tech had not told him, it seemed, something you would have to thank him for later, in private, and your physical tells hadn’t become prevalent enough.
Nodding against him, you tried to relax, finding solace in his presence, allowing yourself to doze in his arms, even as other voices began to dance through the air around the ship, life returning from the sleep cycle.
“Rest,” Hunter murmured, lips grazing your forehead as he spoke. “We’ll be back at Ord Mantell in a few hours. I’ll wake you when we land.”
With your energy all but depleted, you could only hum in agreement, pressing your nose into the crook of Hunter’s neck as your eyes fluttered shut, security and warmth permeating your very bones. It wasn’t long before sleep overwhelmed you, drifting into a deep slumber against your lover’s chest.
*-*-*-*
Biting your lip, you waited impatiently, staring at the spinning circle on the holo comm, the droning ring seeming to go on forever.
You knew Echo was busy, that his main comm was off, and that using the emergency channel was not the best idea, but you needed to talk to him.
It had been two days since Tech had found you outside the fresher, his expressions whenever he regarded you a mix of curiosity and confusion. He was wondering why you hadn’t told Hunter, you knew, but he had been respectful enough not to tell him, your thanks portrayed in a nod towards him when you’d finally stumbled from Hunter’s bunk almost 9 hours after going to sleep.
The morning sickness had continued, but Hunter and the others were still assuming it was some kind of stomach bug, Wrecker making jokes about staying away from you while Omega gave you her doll, insisting cuddling it would make you feel better.
Even the small gesture had almost brought you to tears, concern written all over the young girl’s face before you’d drawn her into a hug, reassuring her you were okay, that you appreciated her thoughtfulness and you were simply run down.
But the time was ticking, and you knew it.
Before long, you’d not be able to hide the fluttering heartbeat forming within your belly, Hunter’s enhanced senses would make it impossible to hide. You didn’t want to hide it from him, but the uncertainty, the fear still clouding your mind was delaying your decision.
The moment the others had gone on their usual run to Cid’s to hand over their latest acquisition, you’d grabbed your comm and dialled Echo, needing to hear his voice, to tell him, to talk it out with him.
Part of you felt foolish and selfish to boot; he was working with Rex, helping brothers and deep in the heart of the enemy. Risking answering his comm opened up a whole realm of danger for him. Hesitating, you almost cut the call, images of him being captured and tortured flashing through your mind, fresh tears pricking at your eyes.
This was stupid. He shouldn’t have to deal with your issues, be your confidant. He had his own path to follow, and you couldn’t get in the way.
Hovering your finger over the disconnect, you almost pressed it when a familiar figure appeared before you, Echo’s almost omnipresent frown and pursed lips making your heart leap as he rolled his eyes, sighing deeply.
“Havoc, you’d better have a good reason for… Mesh’la?”
His features immediately softened when he registered your face, lips tilting into a momentary smile before fading once more, expression turning concerned as he noticed the fear in yours.
“What’s wrong?”
Those two words were the last crack in the dam of your emotions, tears spilling down your cheeks as you began to sob openly, wishing nothing more than to be next to Echo, to hug him and cry against him.
“E-Echo,” you managed between sobs, chest heaving, “I… I’m sorry, I… I didn’t mean to… I… I just needed to… I needed you, I…”
“Woah, woah, slow down,” Echo cooed softly, his image shifting and flickering a little as he moved, eyes dancing with confusion, “first things first, is everyone okay?”
His words caught you off guard a little, head bobbing in an almost violent nod. You suddenly realised how dire you must have made this look, calling him in tears, sobbing and apologising. Yet more guilt flooded your system; he must have assumed something terrible had happened.
“T-They’re fine,” you hiccuped, more tears escaping even as you drew a shuddering breath, trying to calm yourself, “I… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to w-worry you, I…”
“Ad’ika,” he chuckled softly, drawing your gaze back to his holo, “it’s okay. I’m glad everyone is safe. Just… the emergency line… what’s happened that you had to call me so bad? Hunter finally lost it?”
His laughter and the smile of his face lifted some of the weight from your heart, the knowledge he wasn’t angry settling some of your anxiety. Now, a new fear overtook you, your lip worried between your teeth once more as you tried to push the words out, saying it aloud somehow making it more real.
“I… I needed to… I’m sorry, Echo, I just… I needed to talk to you, I… It’s so stupid, I… I shouldn’t,” you rambled, sucking in a deep breath as Echo’s expression faltered slightly, confusion obvious. “I… I need to… Stars, I just… I’m… I’m pregnant. Echo, I… I’m pregnant, and I… I don’t know what to do, and I’m scared, and… I’m sorry.”
Echo’s face did a number of things as he registered your words, starting with his eyes widening to the size of dinner plates. His lips shifted into a tight line as he seemed to process the information, jaw clenching and unclenching. His expression seemed to cycle through shocked, angry, and sad, finally settled on elated as he laughed, lips turned into a radiant smile, making him look years younger in an instant.
“Vod’ika,” he began, voice catching in his throat, “you… you’re… you’re a buir, you’re… Force, mesh’la, this is wonderful!” he exclaimed, his delight pure and obvious.
It was enough to bring a smile to your lips for the first time since your conversation with Tech, soft laughter leaving you as well.
“Well, congratulations!” Echo offered, looking like he wished he could crawl through the comm and hug you, body shifting around with pent up energy, “Have you told him yet?”
The lump in your throat returned with a vengeance. Not trusting your words, you simply shook your head, eyes stinging once more.
“Ah. And that’s where being scared comes into it?” Echo guessed, tone gentler now. You nodded, his face slipping into a sympathetic smile. “Talk to me, ad’ika,” he pressed gently, eyes wide and open, waiting patiently while you found your voice once again.
“I… I just keep thinking,” you began, sniffing and clearing your throat, trying to keep your emotions from getting the better of you, “about what might happen if… if we ever get… if I ever get caught. The Empire, if they found out the child had a clone father… an enhanced clone father… they would…”
You trailed off, Echo’s expression darkening. Of all people, he was the one you had least explain about your fears of torture, dissection and betrayal to. He’d lived it, after all.
A moment of silence followed, Echo’s mind working in a way you could almost see.
“Is this what you want?” he asked finally, the question, again, catching you off guard.
“I… I don’t know,” you admitted, your chest tightening. “I’m just so scared, I keep having visions of being caught, of the Empire taking my child, and I… I couldn’t… Hunter wouldn’t cope, I wouldn’t cope, and I…”
“But is this what you want, ad’ika?” Echo repeated, his eyes earnest. “A child with Hunter, a child full stop… if there was no war, if there was no Empire… would you still want this?”
Almost without hesitation, you nodded, warmth spreading through your chest.
“I love him,” you admitted softly, swallowing hard, “and… I know he’ll be an amazing father. I just…”
“Mesh’la,” Echo sighed heavily, a fond look on his face that was underwritten by a deep sadness, one you’d seen many times before, usually when he spoke about his lost brothers, “that fear… it’s justified, don’t get me wrong, but…”
He paused for a moment, as if choosing his words carefully.
“I’ve lost vode who wanted nothing more than to have a family,” he admitted after a moment, “ones who would have been amazing fathers. Heck, before Skako, I… I thought about it, about what it would be like to have a daughter, to be able to teach her Mando’a, to tell her all about her uncles…”
Tears gathered in his eyes as he spoke, his throat bobbing as he composed himself.
“You’re going to be an amazing buir, if you choose this,” he breathed, forcing a smile to his lips, “but this is your choice. You’re right, it would be dangerous, and if the Empire caught wind, the target on us, on you and Hunter, it would only get bigger. But… vod’ika… your wants, your needs, your happiness should wait for no-one and nothing. This war, this fight, it won’t last forever. All of us, we all need to grasp whatever threads of happiness we can, weave them into something worth fighting for when the days get tough. It’s the only way we’ll ever survive.”
By the time he finished, tears were trailing down Echo’s cheeks as well, the urge to reach out and touch him too much to bear.
Lifting your hand up to the holo, you let out a choked sob as he did the same, his ghostly hand next to yours. It wasn’t enough, but it was something.
“Stars, I miss you,” you sobbed, the words caught somewhere between a laugh and a cry. “I wanted to tell you first, to talk to you. You always know what to say, Echo. I miss you so much. We all do.”
“I miss you all too,” Echo croaked back without missing a beat, “you know how long it took me to get used to sleeping without Wrecker’s snores? Never thought I’d miss that…”
A laugh erupted from your lips before you could catch it, Echo’s face breaking out into a wide grin, chuckling along with you as the tension finally broke.
“I’ll trade you,” you offered with a wink, Echo pondering it overdramatically.
“I mean… the base here smells like sweaty ballsacs and metal. At least you can get fresh air when you land. Here it’s just… feet.”
It was so good to see him, to hear his voice, the conversation flowing easily as he updated you in their latest missions, how their small army was growing by the day.
Your catch up was cut short when the door to the medbay slipped open, both you and Echo’s holographic form turning to look at the intruder.
It only took a moment for Omega’s mouth to drop open, her eyes widening in delight.
“Echo!” she practically screeched, pushing through the door, an armful of snacks and some medical supplies dropped onto the table in seconds before she was cuddling up to you, her eyes wet with tears of happiness, “I’m so happy to see you!”
“Aw, ‘Mega,” Echo smiled softly, regarding her with a gentle, fond look, “it’s good to see you too. Hope Tech isn’t pushing you too hard on your studies.”
“I am merely pushing her as much as she requires me to,” came a short reply, Tech peering into the room, eyes darting between Echo’s holographic form and your own, tear stained face. “It is good to see you, Echo. I trust Coruscant is keeping you busy.”
“As always, Tech,” Echo nodded in response, another voice booming from the other side, Wrecker’s excited voice calling out.
“Is that Echo?”
“Now look what you’ve done,” the older clone teased, winking at Omega as she giggled. Moments later, Wrecker burst through the door, elbowing Tech out of the way and yelling his greeting at Echo, who rolled his eyes, silently glad he was not there in person, knowing that Wrecker would, no doubt, squeeze the life out of him in one of him signature bear hugs the moment they were reunited.
You shared one last small smile with Echo before slinking from the room, leaving him to catch up with his brother and sister, not missing the way Tech’s eyes lingered on you as you slipped past the door, surprised to see Hunter had not arrived back with them.
“He is gathering the last few items, and requested we go on ahead,” Tech explained without missing a beat, relief flooding through you. Nodding in thanks, you could practically feel the question bubbling beneath the engineer’s calm surface, the sparkle in his eyes betraying his easy demeanour.
“I’m going to tell him,” you whispered, casting a look behind you to check that Omega and Wrecker were still engrossed in their catch up with Echo, your lips turning up into a soft smile, “tomorrow. When we go for our break day.”
Tech merely nodded, tapping something into his datapad before turning to observe his siblings in the medbay, seemingly satisfied.
Feeling lighter than you had in days, you moved silently through the ship, leaning in the open rampway, simply existing in the moment. Fresh, cool air washed over you from outside, the setting sun bathing you in the last of its light. Closing your eyes, you inhaled deeply, sighing in contentment.
Your talk with Echo had done exactly what you knew it would, settling your nerves and clearing your mind. You were more grateful for him than you could ever express, making a mental note to put together a care package for him as soon as you could. Maker knew all the boys on Coruscant could do with a pick me up.
“Credit for your thoughts?”
Hunter’s low rumble never failed to make your stomach flutter pleasantly, eyes blinking open to find him at the bottom of the ramp, a hessian sack thrown over his shoulder. He was beaming up at you, deep tan skin glistening in the sunlight, caramel eyes flicking up and down your body.
“Just enjoying the moment,” you grinned back at him, his body relaxing at your reply.
“You’re looking much better,” he noted, carefully placing the bag onto the ramp before ascending quickly, one of his large hands moving to cup your face. You giggled softly as he tilted your face up to meet his, brushing his lips over yours.
“I have to say,” he purred, dragging his lips across your cheek, towards your ear, the simple motion sent a shiver through your entire body, your reaction to him always full of desire. “I don’t know what’s changed, mesh’la,” he breathed into your ear, sending more waves of want radiating through you, “but you smell divine.”
“H-Hunter,” you gasped as his lips found your neck, littering kisses over the sensitive skin. One of your hands came up to grasp his shoulder, arousal coursing through you. “The others…”
“Tomorrow,” he breathed against your skin, pulling back just enough that every word sent puffs of air tickling across your neck, “when we land, I’m taking you out into the woods, we’re going to camp, alone, and I’m going to ruin you.”
An unbidden moan escaped your lips, body trembling against his. It had been a good week since you’d spent time together intimately, your core aching for him.
“P-Please,” you managed, the word little more than a desperate gasp.
“Patience, cyar’ika,” he chuckled lowly, licking a stripe up your neck, “good things come to those who wait.”
His emphasis on the word ‘come’ had you giggling as he pulled away, pressing another gentle kiss to your lips as he drew back, eyes darting over your face, drinking in your features, noting your lust blown eyes.
“Kriff, you’re gorgeous,” he smiled dreamily, about to go back in for another kiss when the approach of quick footsteps had him stepping back, eyes fixed on the door as Omega came barrelling out, her smile wide and earnest.
“Hunter! I spoke to Echo!” she announced, Hunter’s smile slipping for a moment.
“You did?” he asked quickly, looking between the girl and you, not missing the flicker of guilt that passed over your expression. “Why did he call? Is everything okay? Does he…”
“He’s fine,” you reassured him quickly, squeezing his arm, offering comfort, “he was just checking in. They’ve picked up some more of the boys. They’ve got wind of Cody as well, and they’re following that lead.”
Hunter regarded you with a pensive look for a moment, stare so intense you almost felt like he was looking through you. Swallowing hard, you forced a smile to your lips, heart clenching before he hummed, seemingly satisfied with the explanation.
“That’s good, then,” he nodded finally. “Getting Cody on board would be a big step. He was one of the best strategists we ever worked with.”
Omega’s eyes lit up at that, her attention squarely on Hunter now.
“Really? Will you tell me about some of your missions with him?” she practically squealed with excitement, Hunter chuckling as he ruffled her hair.
“Sure, kid. Why don’t you grab the last bag, put it in my bunk and I’ll tell you all about it when we’re in hyperspace.”
She was moving practically before he’d finished speaking, giggling with excitement as she grabbed the bag and ran back into the ship.
You watched her pass with a soft smile on your lips, Hunter’s gaze still fixed on you.
“What’s in the bag?” you asked him after she’d disappeared inside, heart fluttering nervously as Hunter crossed his arms over his chest, giving you an odd look.
“How about I tell you when you tell me the real reason Echo called?”
Your stomach plummeted, eyes widening. Of course Hunter would know you were withholding something, his eyes soft but discerning as he watched your reaction. He must have sensed your fear, his posture relaxing a little, arms dropping to his sides.
“I…” you began, tears gathering in your eyes again.
“Cyare,” Hunter cut you off with a sigh, pulling you back into an embrace. “I trust you, implicitly, and I’m never going to be angry with you. I just… tell me. When you’re ready, okay?”
Blinking back tears, you nodded against him, forever grateful for his understanding.
“You’re amazing, you know that?” you snuffled against him, Hunter letting out a soft rumble of laughter.
“I’m okay, I guess,” he shrugged, earning him a playful hit on the chest as you gazed up at him, lost in the deep caramel of his eyes for a moment. His expression was soft and adoring, heat blooming into your chest.
“I love you,” you breathed, the hitch in Hunter’s breath bringing another smile to your lips.
“Love you too,” he murmured, leaning down to capture your lips in another chaste kiss, hands finding your hips and drawing your bodies closer together, “more than I could tell you.”
“You could always show me,” you teased, stomach twisting with desire as he growled into your mouth, deepening the kiss. You could have got lost in the moment, were it not for Tech appearing in the doorway of the Marauder, his nose buried in his datapad. He looked up only for a brief moment, rolling his eyes at the sight of you and Hunter stood nose to nose, a huff of frustration leaving him as he tapped furiously on his screen, the only other outward sign of his annoyance.
“We are ready to depart, if you are both finished with your very public displays of affection for each other,” he stated plainly, Hunter giving a toothy grin as his brother headed for the cockpit, leaning his forehead against yours.
“Back into the fray,” he sighed, one hand threading through your hair, holding the intimate position for a moment more. You allowed him to do so, sighing in contentment as you simply existed in the moment with him, happiness coursing through your veins.
“Until tomorrow,” you reminded him softly, his breath hitching again, “then you can have me all to yourself for a while.”
“Never long enough,” he grumbled good naturedly, slipping his free hand into yours as he pulled away, leading you back into the ship. “Come on. We should get inside before Tech starts lecturing us.”
With a giggle, you followed him easily, barely inside when the ramp of the ship began ascending. Making your way towards the medbay for take-off, Hunter clutched at your hand still, Wrecker wolf-whistling while Omega fake gagged at the sight, sharing a giggling fit with Wrecker while Hunter simply huffed at their behaviour, his soft smile still firmly in place.
“Alright, Tech,” he called back to the cockpit, the engineer firing up the engines, ready for take-off. “Time to get some R and R.”
“Oh yeah!” Wrecker shouted excitedly from beside you, high fiving Omega. Soon enough, you were hurtling out of atmo, Tech making the textbook jump to hyperspace with ease.
You were on your way. And the thought both terrified and exhilarated you.
Tomorrow, Hunter would know, and your lives would change, one way or another.

Hunter made good on his promise almost the moment you landed.
While you’d slept on the journey, he’d packed a tent up, along with the thickest bedrolls he could find. Also stuffed into the satchel he carried were blankets, canteens of water and enough supplies to keep you going for the day you intended to spend away, his comm tucked tightly into his belt.
You couldn’t help but laugh at his mothering of the others, contingency plans, schedules and timetables repeated over and over until even Tech was urging him to leave, insisting everything would be fine for a few hours.
Omega grumbled at first, disappointed she wasn’t allowed along on the trip until Wrecker reminded her that you and Hunter would probably be kissing, the thought enough to make her fake wretch and agree to more target training with her brothers, determined to show Echo improvement when she saw him next.
With a final wave goodbye, you and Hunter headed out into the woods, your lover leading you easily through the beautiful sunlit surroundings.
The planet you’d chosen was sparsely populated, a warm climate and soft, soothing breeze kissing your skin pleasantly. It felt wonderful, freeing. And with Hunter by your side, your hands laced together while you walked slowly under the orange and green painted canopy, sunbeams filtering through, it was perfect.
“We won’t go too far,” he promised quietly, “just far enough that we’re guaranteed some privacy. Tech spotted a good area, a little clearing by a lake as we came in to land. Said the nearest settlement was about thirty clicks away.”
You hummed happily, nodding as you allowed yourself to simply enjoy the peace and quiet the planet afforded you, your stomach quivering with excitement and nerves.
Ideas on exactly how to tell Hunter the big news were swirling through your mind, each more elaborate than the last. What would be the best way? Would he be happy at the news? Surprised? Angry?
Your heart clenched at the last thought, feet stumbling as a breath caught in your throat.
You knew Hunter would never hurt you, but the idea you might lose this, lose what you had together, sent a sudden icy chill down your spine.
Hunter stopped immediately, sensing the change in you.
“Cyare? What’s wrong?” he prompted gently, raising a hand to cord through your hair. Your eyes must have betrayed your fear, as even when you forced a smile, he regarded you with a unbeliving stare.
“I’m fine, just… tripped,” you murmured, Hunter letting out a low sigh.
“Mesh’la,” he frowned, eyes never leaving your face, “you’re…”
He hesitated, choosing his words carefully.
“You’ve been… different, this past week or so. I… I feel like something is wrong, but you’re not telling me what it is. I thought… I thought you trusted me enough to…”
The hurt in his voice made nausea rise up your throat, lungs stuttering as you drew in a sharp breath.
“I do, Hunter, I… I trust you, with my life, I just…”
Taking your hesitation as confirmation, your lover dropped his grip on your hand, sighing deeply.
“It’s okay, mesh’la,” he reassured you weakly, forcing a smile as he readjusted the bags on his shoulder, trying to keep his expression neutral, “I… I understand.”
“No, you don’t!”
You didn’t mean to shout, but the idea of hurting Hunter, the idea he thought you were having doubt was almost too much to bear. Spinning to look at your in surprise, his eyes wide, Hunter was staring at you, taken aback by your outburst.
“You don’t understand, Hunter! I’m trying to… I wanted to wait, to find the words to tell you that I… oh, Maker…”
The words caught in your throat, eyes watering as Hunter’s expression morphed into one of hurt and uncertainty, reading something else in your voice.
“If you want to stop this, I… I’ll respect that, but I… I just… I need to know why, cyare,” Hunter croaked, dropping the bags and blankets to the floor, arms hanging limply. “I… I should have seen this coming… the wanting to spend time apart, sneaking off to talk to Echo… I… I’m sorry. I promise, I… I won’t make this awkward, I…”
“No! Hunter, gods, no!”
You were openly sobbing now, tears streaming down your face.
“That’s not… not ever what I want! How could you… why do you think that? Is that…”
Your stomach churned uncomfortably.
“Is that what you want? You were waiting for me to break up with you? Are you… do you not want me any more?”
It was Hunter’s turn to let out a broken sob, his face crumpling.
“Fuck no, cyare,” he breathed, falling to his knees. It was like his world was crumbling around him, his resolve broken. For weeks, he’d been looking forward to this time alone, to be with his love, just you and him. How had it all fallen to pieces so quickly?
Reaching into his back pouch, he grabbed a cloth wrapped item, blinking away fresh tears as he desperately tore into it, hands shaking.
“This… this is my answer,” he managed, voice cracking with emotion as he threw the cloth to the side, revealing a small box in his palms. Cracked open, something was glinting inside. Your body froze, unable to process the scene for a moment. “This is why I wanted you out here,” Hunter continued, shuffling forward on his knees, not caring how small or pathetic he might look in that moment. His eyes were locked on you, desperation coursing through every fibre of his being.
“Hunter,” you breathed, trying to catch up.
“I know, it means nothing, not really,” he admitted, voice far too small, “that it’s not legally binding, that the rest of the galaxy won’t care, but… fuck, cyar’ika, I need you, forever. I want you, I… I want to marry you. Even if it’s just for show. I want you to be my wife. By my side, forever. No matter what… we stay together…”
His voice trailed off, eyes falling to the floor as he waited for your reaction. You were still frozen to the stop, too shocked to process his words until you heard the familiar cadence of what had become your call to each other.
“Always,” you choked automatically, the pure, unadulterated hope in Hunter’s eyes as he looked up at you, registering your reply making your heart skip a beat. “Together. Always.”
Finally finding your feet, you stepped forward tentatively, towards Hunter where he still kneeled on the forest floor, a blanket of orange and yellow leaves beneath him, streams of sunlight dancing across his profile. He watched your approach silently, lips slightly parted, sucking in deep breaths.
He was far too still, as if the slightest movement might scare you away, hands held out still, presenting the box to you. Bending ever so slightly, you saw a delicate silver band resting within the wooden rest, a single red gem sparkling on the top.
“Riddur,” you murmured, remembering Echo’s lessons, how he’d laughed as you and Hunter had exchanged a look and blushed, months before you even touched each other.
Hunter’s breath hitched, the smallest sob escaping his lips as you closed your hands around his, moving them up to your chest. He was confused for a moment, staring up at you with reddened eyes, waiting for your next move.
“Riddur,” you breathed again, closing your eyes as you leant down, pressing a kiss into his hair, “… and… and buir…”
Hunter did gasp this time, eyes widening more than you had ever seen them before. With his face mere inches from your stomach, he moved his hands down from your chest quickly, wrapping them around your waist. Turning his head to the side, he pressed his ear against your stomach, swallowing thickly as he listened closely.
Your heartbeat, strong, familiar, steady, was now accompanied by a fluttering sound, much faster, much smaller, but there nonetheless, alive, growing.
“Cyare,” Hunter choked, sobbing into your stomach as he held you close, his grip on your hips only getting stronger, “ad’ika… a baby, our… our baby…”
“Yes,” you nodded, openly crying again now, tears tinged with a happiness you had long forgotten, “I… I didn’t know how to tell you, I… I was so scared, Hunter, I… I want to be happy, but… I’m scared…”
You let out another sob as he clutched you tighter, pressing a kiss to your stomach, his face nuzzling into you.
“With the Empire following us, I kept thinking, what would happen if they caught us, if they took… took our child. I… I’m terrified, I…”
Hunter scrambled to his feet, arms dragging you into him. With his chin resting on your head, he soothed you, tears still rolling down his cheeks.
“I will never let anything happen to you,” he growled, “either of you. My aliit, my loves… We’ll protect you. All of us. Stars… I love you, cyare. Riddur…”
You don’t know how long you spent in each others arms, simply holding each other, sharing tears and love, the emotions flowing between you as easy as the kisses you shared, but when your legs began to tremble, Hunter gave a soft chuckle, pulling away and looking down on you with eyes still rimmed with tears.
His expression was pure adoration, your heart fluttering in your chest as he pressed one last kiss to you lips, chaste and sweet, one hand running over your stomach tenderly while the other bought the box in his hand back up between you, deft fingers finding the ring inside and offering it to you.
Raising your hand without hesitation, he gave you a sappy grin, slipping it onto your ring finger with ease.
“Riddur,” he mumbled, sweeping his lips over yours once more as he pocketed the box, leaving his hand free to tangle in your hair, holding you even closer.
“Riddur,” you repeated back to him, your hearts beating in sync for a moment, caught in a perfect moment in time.
“I love you,” he breathed against your skin, closing his eyes and simply breathing in your scent for a moment, “and now… I get the change. Your scent, it’s… different. It’s been driving me insane.”
His admission came with a small smirk, familiar heat flowing through your body.
“Guess I’ll have to get a rundown on how all of this works from Tech,” he murmured thoughtfully, raising an eyebrow when you chuckled.
“Well, when a mummy and a daddy love each other very much,” you began, giggling when he wrapped his arms around you and tickled your ribs, forcing you to stop as you bent double, peals of laughter ringing around the trees.
“Don’t be mean,” he laughed along with you, eyes dancing with delight as he finally let you go, a sigh escaping him while his eyes roamed your body. “I just want to know… if it’s safe to… you know… while you’re…”
“Perfectly safe,” you reassured him, tracing your fingers across his cheek, “as long as I don’t get squished or lay on my stomach when I get big.”
“You think I’m going to squish you?” Hunter teased, beaming at the flush lighting up your cheeks. “Come on, mesh’la, I know I’ve been eating more, but you don’t have to say I’m gonna squish you.”
“Dikut,” you retorted, letting out a shriek of delight when Hunter stepped towards you, turning on your heel and running towards the lake. Picking up the bags behind him, Hunter followed quickly, his cheeks hurting from smiling so much.
For the first time in a long time, he felt complete, sated.
Everything was falling into place.

The darkness settled around you as you walked through the dense forest on the way back to Shin’s ship. Your steps felt heavy, and the silence weighed on you like a suffocating blanket. The only sound was the crunch of leaves underfoot, and it seemed as if the forest itself was holding its own breath. It was quiet, yet there was an underlying tension in the air. Shin trailed closely behind you, her presence a constant and protective shadow. It was clear that she was determined to keep you within her sights, her watchful eyes scanning the surroundings with a vigilance that ultimately sent a shiver down your spine. And though you were grateful for Shin's rescue, the closeness in the dark forest made you nervous. You had to admit that she was undoubtedly scary tonight, and you weren’t exactly sure if the pirates were much less dangerous than she was. The silence between the two of you felt heavy, and the sense of being followed closely by her unwavering gaze was both comforting and unsettling.
Curiously, you eventually turned around to check on Shin, and the sight that met your eyes made your heart skip a beat. There, in the dim moonlight filtering through the trees, you saw Shin with traces of dried blood staining her clothes and her skin. The fear that had gripped you began to ebb away, if only slightly. Shin still bore the traces of the battle; her expression remained solemn, and the intensity in her eyes hadn't faded. But she saved you. She protected you. And you were grateful.
Relief finally washed over you as the familiar silhouette of the vessel came into view. But your sense of security was short-lived as you approached and noticed the telltale signs of the fierce battle that had unfolded earlier. Scratches and scorch marks were littered along the ship's hull, clear evidence of the desperate struggle that had taken place when the pirates had captured you. And although you put up quite a fight, in the end, there were too many of them and only one of you.
"I’m sorry about your ship," you said, slowing down as you came closer to it.
Shin didn’t even stop to say a word. Instead, she lowered the ramp with a push of a button and walked right past you. With a heavy sigh, you accepted her silence as you followed her into the ship. The atmosphere inside was as cold and silent like the forest you had just left behind, and you couldn’t help but wonder what was going on in Shin’s head. You couldn't shake the nagging feeling that Shin was upset with you for getting captured by the pirates in the first place. It was a thought that gnawed at you, filling you with guilt and regret.
You watched as Shin took control of the ship's controls without uttering a single word. Her skilled hands moved with grace and precision, manipulating the ship's systems with ease. It responded to her commands, its engines humming to life as it lifted off the ground and gracefully ascended into the dark expanse of space. The silence between the two of you was palpable as the ship hovered in the void, the stars outside casting a soft glow over Shin's determined expression.
"What about your mission?" You asked, halfheartedly expecting to be met with another period of silence.
"I have what I came for."
Her tone was cold and firm, just as it usually was. With a small nod, you retreated to your small room on the ship. It was a modest space, just large enough for the essentials—a bed, a place to put your weapons and your clothes, the walls adorned with faded star charts and a few personal mementos. You sat on your bunk, lost in thought, replaying the events of the night over and over in your mind. The silence around you was stifling, broken only by the soft hum of the ship's systems.
But, your thoughts didn’t linger for long as a shiver ran down your spine and an eerie feeling washed over you. Without warning, you turned around quickly, and to your surprise, you found Shin standing silently in your doorway.
"For kriff’s sake, Shin," you breathed, meeting her eyes with both a sense of worry and shock.
Shin remained wordless, her gaze fixed on you with a look that held a multitude of unspoken emotions. It was as though she had something to say but chose to express it in silence, intensifying the tension in the room. Like she couldn't tear her eyes away from the person who had been absent for what felt like an eternity.
"I think we should get you cleaned up," you say softly, taking a careful step towards the light-haired woman.
You reached out carefully, your fingers lightly touching Shin's gloved hand, and offered a reassuring smile. To your relief, Shin didn't resist. Instead, she allowed you to guide her towards her room, which was slightly more spacious than your own. You gently guided Shin to sit on her bed, and she complied, her earlier intensity giving way to trust in your actions. She watched silently as you moved purposefully around the room, and before long, you returned with a wet rag and a small bowl of water. You stood before Shin, your eyes meeting hers with a reassuring look, as if to say that everything would be okay.
With utmost care, you began to gently clean the dried blood from Shin's face, dragging the wet rag against her skin softly. Shin sat patiently, her eyes never leaving yours. And you had to admit, you were nervous being this close to her, especially after what she had done. It was for you; you had to remind yourself. She did it for you. And you had to thank her somehow, at least.
After finishing cleaning her face, you set the rag down and began to move your hands to the hems of her bloodied robes. But with a strong grip closing tightly around your wrists, Shin stopped your movements, gazing at you with those intense eyes once again. She stood from the bed suddenly, her tall figure towering over you.
"S-Sorry," you started, squirming a little bit under her touch. "I know you can do it yourself; I-I just wanted to help—"
"Are you afraid?"
You blinked up at her sudden question, "N-No."
"You’re lying," she said, using your wrists to pull you closer. "I had to kill them... Anyone who hurts you. Anyone that touches you. They have to die. You have to understand that. I’ll kill anyone who lays a finger on you—even anyone that dares to look at you."
Her words sliced through the air like a blade. Her eyes, wide and crazed, bore into yours with an unsettling fervor, and a small, but twisted smile curled upon her lips. The weight of every word hung heavily in the room, and you trembled in fear, not just from the pirates but from the intensity of Shin's unwavering protectiveness. It was a declaration that revealed the depths of Shin's devotion for you, but it also left you uneasy about the darkness that lay within your savior.
"You’re mine," Shin continued, pulling you even closer until the front of your body pressed against her bloodied robes. "Do you understand? I’ll protect you forever... So, don’t be afraid."
Before you could respond, Shin leaned down, closing the distance between the two of you, and planted a rough, lingering kiss on your lips. Oh, she always wondered what those lips would taste like... But, as your lips met, you hesitated, confused by the uncertainty that filled your stomach. With a slight push, you gently but firmly distanced yourself from Shin, pushing lightly at her chest and breaking the kiss.
"Shin, we can’t," Your voice trembled as you spoke, avoiding her eyes in the process, "We shouldn’t…"
Instead, Shin ignored your words as her hand crept up to your jaw and pulled your face back towards her. The next kiss she pulls you into is suffocating and rougher than the last. Shin is far too impatient; far too greedy. With the thoughts of you submitting to her, forcing you to beg for her, making you moan and scream for her—it dirtied her brain in the most pleasurable way. She groaned against your mouth, her other hand traveling downward to palm your ass. There was no way she could’ve restrained herself if she knew that everything that came before would lead up to this very moment.
Her tongue delves into your mouth when you moan and squeezes the flesh of your hips, lapping up every bit of your taste. Shin greedily swallows your whimpers, muffled against her lips. But when your arms reach up to wrap around her neck, Shin nearly loses her composure and turns to grab you by the waist, lifting you up and throwing you onto her bed. You’d be lying if you said that her manhandling you wasn’t one of the most attractive things you’ve ever experienced.
The blonde’s mouth waters at the sight of you, laying there looking up at her with innocent and anxious eyes. You had her wrapped around your finger, and you didn’t even realize it. Shin brought her hand to her mouth as she stared at you, biting the fingertip of her glove and pulling it off, her eyes never leaving you. You propped yourself up on your elbows, watching as she tossed her heavy armor and her lightsaber down onto the floor like they were the last things she cared about. Her hands reach the hem of your shirt, pulling it over your hand before going lower to work on unbuckling your pants and pulling them down your legs. Then she hovers over you, placing a hand by your head to support her weight and the way you look up at her, with nothing but your underwear on, god, it makes her absolutely exasperated with desire.
Shin immediately drops her head down to lick, suck, and litter kisses along the skin of your neck, down to the valley of your breasts, marking your skin with bruises at every inch she can get her lips on. And when your hands started tugging on her bloodied robes, Shin grabbed your wrists and pinned hard them above your head with one hand.
"Stay still," she commanded you, her face hovering just centimeters over you with her eyes boring in to yours, as if they were saying that there would be consequences if you were to disobey her—and angering her was the last thing you wanted tonight.
In a swift motion, the blonde rips your bra right off of you, causing you to gasp at the sudden action. For a moment, Shin almost forgot how to breathe as she stared down at your breasts—oh, how soft and plush they looked, like they would fit perfectly in the palm of her hands. And they do. Your whimpers fall on her ears while she massages your breasts slowly and carefully, relishing in the feeling of how perfect they were. With an occasional pinch to your nipples, Shin can’t help but smirk when you tense up and your quiet moans go an octave higher. Unable to control herself any longer, her mouth finds it way to wrap around your nipples and sucks hard. Each second, your moans got louder and louder, and Shin decided she’d make you scream tonight. and by the stars, you looked so, so beautiful.
Shin eventually releases your nipples with a pop, traveling and littering kisses up your neck once again, right on top of all of the bruises she left for you. When she reaches your mouth, she wastes no time pressing a rough kiss against them, pushing her tongue past your lips with no warning. She swallows your moans once again before pulling away slowly, a string of saliva connecting together from your lips.
"Open your mouth," she says again in that commanding tone.
You don’t hesitate to follow her order, eagerly parting your lips immediately, only for her to slip two of her fingers in, pressing them against your wet tongue. A sigh falls from Shin’s mouth as you slurp and wrap your tongue around her digits. She pushed her fingers deeper into your mouth, losing her mind over the way you gagged around her fingers.
Shin smirks at the sight, "Good girl."
After a moment, she pulls her fingers out of your mouth, carefully inspecting how wet you had made them. She kisses you again, distracting you from the way her hand treads lower down your body until her fingers reach the hem of your panties. With her face pressed against your neck, breathing in your scent, Shin slips her hand underneath the fabric as the pads of her fingers prod at the flesh of your sex. A gasp escapes from your lips the moment she presses your clit on accident, dragging her digits through slick folds until she’s forcefully shoving them inside of you. Shin jaw drops at the feeling of your warmth wrapped around her long fingers as you throw your head back and moan, your neck straining against her face. The words Shin was planning to voice out die at her mouth before they could leave, getting lost in the feeling of your spongy walls.
The ship is filled with lewd sounds that fell from your mouth and the wet, squelching noises, and only the vast expanse of the stars outside of the window seemed to bear witness to all of this. And it drives her absolutely insane to know that she’s the only one who could hear this right now, floating in space inside her ship with just the two of you inside.
Shin’s eyes flashed with intensity as your moans got louder and louder each time she fucked her fingers into you. She had never been one to be gentle—it showed in her training and her daily routines. And despite her natural inclination towards aggression, Shin had made a conscious effort to temper herself around you. But, god, there was no way she could hold herself back anymore after this.
Pulling her head back, Shin watches you moan and writhe underneath her, throwing your head back each time she hits that sweet spot—a spot that she found in a matter of seconds, like it was second nature to her. It felt so fucking good; almost too good. And so she presses, and presses, and presses until you clench around her fingers and come right onto her hand. Your juices trail down her wrist, and it only takes a second to admire the way you shake and tremble after she’s given you one of the best orgasms of your life. But Shin goes right back into fucking you once more, all while her thumb circles over your clit, at a faster and harder pace than before, barely giving you any time to catch your breath. You scream and squirm underneath her, whining pathetically about how it’s too much for you to handle, but she only smirks and makes no effort to slow her movements, pulling orgasm after orgasm out of you. She was going to fucking ruin you.
“S-Shin, please,” you tried calling out to ask for a chance to catch your breath. Even when you try to push her hand away, Shin holds you down, and you’re stuck with feeling the overwhelming pleasure build up again and again. “T-Too much—”
"I told you to stay still," Shin says, completely in awe as she watches the overstimulation rack through your entire body.
Without even thinking, Shin wraps her hand around your neck and squeezes, your broken moans turning her on even more than before. She loses herself at the sight of your mouth agape as you gasp for breath. The way you moan her name nearly drives her to the edge. Your mind was numb from the pleasure, and your grip on her wrist loosens as you throw your head back in euphoria. She pumps and pumps and pumps her fingers into you over and over again, until she brings you to your high once more. Then she makes you come a third time, a fourth, a fifth, a sixth—you couldn’t even count anymore—up until you gush all over her hand for what seemed like the third time tonight.
And she’s all you can think about. Shin, Shin, Shin. She presses her mouth against yours once again, moaning against her lips as you try your best to calm down. Your body shakes against her own, quivering as Shin uses her other hand to palm your thighs soothingly. Your essence leaks all over her bed, her hands, and her pants and Shin thinks it’s perfect. She thinks you’re perfect—the prettiest thing she has ever laid her eyes on. Your body goes limp as soon as you come back down from your high, still trembling slightly as Shin slowly pulls her fingers out of you. For a while, she just stares at the way your wetness coats her fingers. You watch her lick a long stripe over her fingers, and the way she rolls her eyes back at the taste of you.
Before you could even form a singular thought, your eyelids fell closed, and it was almost like your brain melted away. Shin seemingly fucked every brain cell out of you, and you could barely even think anymore. She smiles when you pass out right in front of her. A part of her wishes that she went a little gentler on you; maybe then she’d get to fuck you for a little while longer. But she was too impatient. You laid in front of her on her bed like a gourmet meal served on a silver platter.
It was perfect. Shin was obsessed with you. She needed you more strongly than the word love could imply. And she was going to slaughter anyone who dared to take you away from her.

I love you
Tumblr media
A/N: Thank you guys so much for answering my poll. 🙏 I hope you guys enjoy! 😊
Summary: As the Batch explores Pabu, you and Omega grow closer. Hunter thinks about new beginnings, and Omega reflects on her relationships.
Genre: More tooth-rotting fluffff, teensie bit of angst
Warnings: It’s another tear-jerker, Omega continually being absolutely adorable
Mando’a key: haran: hell
As the Marauder landed on the foreign planet, Omega grabbed your hand eagerly to be the first one out of the ship and into the new territory.
“C’mon Y/N!” She yelled as she pulled you with her. Phee walked close behind, chuckling at the child’s eagerness.
“I’m glad you’re excited, kid. You’re gonna love it.” Phee added with a half smile. She nodded at you and walked down the ramp first.
You examined the bright blue sky and heard the waves of water close by. You admired the architecture of the platform as you began to walk behind Phee with Omega’s hand in yours. You looked down at her and smiled, seeing her wide eyes filled with curiosity and wonder.
You and the batch continued to walk until you came upon a large tree. It was a magnificent sight, the tree towering over you in all its glory.
You noticed two individuals walking your way, a child and a tall man with his arms outstretched. You listened intently as the man introduced himself to be the Mayor and that the young girl was his daughter.
You smiled at the girl, who smiled back. Omega seemed quite fond of her and you could tell they would be good friends already. You felt a hand on your shoulder, you looked to your right to see Hunter grinning at you. You grinned back.
“What do you think?” You whispered to him. He sighed.
“I think this place is amazing, but I don’t really want to admit it yet.” He whispered back with a smirk as he nodded his head towards Phee. You nodded your head understanding what he was saying.
There have been way too many times when you’ve let your guard down and things have gone to haran. Hunter knew this and knew to be more cautious when in a new environment. So, even if this place seemed like paradise, keeping a look out until you knew for sure that it was safe was the plan for now.
The group seemed to split up as you were dragged by Omega to say hello to her new found friend and Hunter went to talk to the Mayor. And Tech found someone new, but it was of no surprise to you.
You could tell the first time Phee said, ‘brown eyes’ that she had the hots for him. Tech, well, he’s Tech. He probably has no clue she’s flirting, but he’ll catch on. Eventually.
You introduced yourself to the child, who you now knew was named Lyana. Omega continued to hold your hand which made Lyana curious as to what you were to her. She tilted her head and smiled.
“Are you her mother?” This made your eyes widen.
I mean sure, you were somewhat of a “motherly figure” to Omega. Being as you were the only female in the batch at the moment. But, never have you actually used the title. It’s not like Omega would call you mom on a regular basis. This was new. And you had no idea what to reply. You stood frozen.
That is until, Omega saved the day. She cleared her throat and smiled up at you.
“Yeah, she is.” You shook your head, getting out of your trance as you looked down at Omega with her wide smile and precious eyes. You were on the verge of tears, but held it in to prevent the embarrassment of crying in front of a child you just met. You nodded your head at said girl and she smiled.
“That’s wonderful!” Then her shoulders slumped ever so slightly. “You’re lucky Omega. I wish my mom was here.” You and Omega’s eyes were saddened. Omega looked up at you and pouted. You frowned and knelt down to Lyana’s level.
You placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, she looked up at you curiously.
“I don’t know the whole story, but I’m very sorry for your loss.” Lyana smiled gratefully.
“Thank you.” You stood up and Lyana composed herself. “My mother passed away a few years ago. But seeing you two together reminded me of her and how much I love her.” She grinned, you and Omega smiled back.
While this beautiful moment was happening. Hunter was having a little heart to heart with the Mayor.
“Pabu is a great place to rejuvenate, we also consider it a safe haven.” Hunter nodded his head along to what the Mayor was saying.
“Most of this island is composed of refugees, is it not?” The Mayor nodded his head.
“You are quite correct. The refugees have found this a safe place to raise their children as well.” He said, motioning his head towards you and Omega. “You and your wife would find that it is the perfect place for you to raise your child. A place where she can roam free without care. A place where she can actually be a child.” Hunter watched you and Omega.
He had longed for a place to settle down with you and Omega. A place where Omega could have a childhood, a place where you two could be together and raise her together.
Hunter was snapped out of his thoughts as the Mayor placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.
“From a father to a father,” he paused and smiled. “I believe this place will be perfect for your family.”
Hunter’s eyes widened slightly at his statement. Mostly because he hadn’t realized that was what you were to him. A family. Hunter never had that. He probably guessed the same went for you as well.
He looked at you and Omega again and smiled. Seeing Omega’s hand in yours, the smiles on both your faces. The love he could feel that you had for her, as if she was your own. The love that he had for the both of you, clarified how much he had dreamed for a place like this.
He turned to the Mayor and nodded his head.
“Thank you,” he paused. “I’ll take it into consideration.” The mayor smiled then walked towards the others.
“C’mon everyone, follow me.” Everyone followed the Mayor and later found out he was holding a big feast for your arrival.
During the feast, you couldn’t help but look at Omega fondly as she conversed with her new found friend. When she asked to go with Lyana on her boat, you were surprised Hunter allowed her to.
Being as though, he is very overprotective and cautious. You couldn’t help but be shocked that he agreed without hesitation. You looked at him with a raised brow. He looked at you and shrugged. You squinted your eyes and went back to eating.
Whilst this was happening, Omega was giddily following Lyana down to the shore below. She was beyond ecstatic that Hunter let her go have fun with her new friend.
As they sat admiring the island and the water around them, Omega’s mind wandered back to the previous conversation she had with Lyana and you.
Were you really her mom? She would love it if you were, and it seemed you would feel the same way. But, she wasn’t too sure. You hadn’t labeled it. Today was actually the first time she had called you that. But she did like the sound. Mom and you, just made sense in her head.
“You seem distracted,” Lyana commented, breaking the silence. Omega turned her head towards her. She sighed.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Lyana smiled.
“Is something wrong?” Omega immediately shook her head.
“No, I was just thinking.” Lyana nodded her head.
“You wanna talk about it?” Omega played with her fingers.
“Well, okay.” Lyana grinned. Omega scooted closer to her. She explained her situation and your relationship with her. Lyana nodded her head along. When Omega finished, Lyana pursed her lips.
“I don’t know much. But from my experience, the way she held you and looked at you, it seemed as though she saw you as her own.” Omega looked at her with wide eyes.
“Really? You saw all that?” Lyana giggled.
“Yeah. In fact, the way you described her sounds just like my mother.” Lyana frowned a bit. Omega noticed.
“I’m sorry.” Lyana shook her head.
“It’s alright,” she paused thinking for a moment. “I’d probably talk to her about it. If you're so worried. And maybe your dad too? I’m not exactly sure which one is your father. Is it the one with the tattoo on his face and the bandanna?” Omega giggled.
“Yeah, that’s a whole other problem too.” Lyana’s eyes widened.
“Really?” Omega nodded her head and sighed. Lyana hummed.
“Well, it’s just like I said. You should talk to them. I don’t know everything, but as your friend, I want to help.” Omega smiled gratefully.
“Thank you, that helped a lot,” she chuckled. “I guess I just needed to get it out and talk about it.” They laughed, but it was stopped abruptly as the boat jerked.
To say you were worried about Omega was an understatement. You tried to focus on helping the citizens of Pabu, but you couldn’t take your mind off of Omega being in danger. You were finally relieved when you saw her and Lyana wave from the Marauder.
As soon as the ship landed, you immediately ran over. Omega barely stepped off the ramp when you engulfed her in a hug. Omega was taken back, but right after wrapped her arms around you tightly. You pulled back and pointed your finger at her with a small glare.
“Don’t you dare scare me like that again.” Omega smiled and hugged you again. You held her head and sighed.
After the situation with the tidal wave, Hunter decided it was best to stay and help with repairs. Which you agreed with wholeheartedly. After their warm welcome, you couldn’t help but feel the urge to aid them.
As the day went by, you came to find that this place was indeed a paradise. Filled with kind and pleasant people. You couldn’t help but love Pabu.
As the day came to an end, you wiped the sweat off your forehead with the back of your hand with a sigh. You looked at everyone picking up remains, handing out food and blankets.
Though this place seemed utterly irredeemable, the people of Pabu had faith and hope for their home to be rebuilt. You smiled and dusted your hands off as you walked towards the batch.
Hunter noticed you first and smiled. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder and kissed your temple. You chuckled at his open use of PDA, which didn’t happen quite often. Not saying you didn’t love the sudden display, but you were a bit befuddled. You quirked a brow and smirked at him.
“What was that for?” He shrugged, then pulled you closer.
“Just felt like it,” he whispered in your ear, which sent shivers down your spine. You rolled your eyes and shook your head.
As you said your good nights to the rest of the squad, Hunter would not let you go. As you hugged Tech and Wrecker good night, Hunter stood on the side practically tapping his toe waiting for you to be done so he could have you in his arms again. You had no idea what made him change his demeanor, until it was Omega’s turn to say goodnight.
She ran up to you and engulfed you in a hug. You lifted her up and spun her around, she giggled and smiled. Hunter watched fondly, then kneeled in front of Omega with arms outstretched. Omega ran into them and wrapped her arms around Hunter’s neck, which he responded to accordingly by embracing her.
Omega pulled back and looked at you, she motioned for you to join. You rolled your eyes and joined them on the floor for a group hug.
“I love you.” You heard Omega whisper. She pulled away and smiled.
This was the first time Omega said those words. Not that she didn’t love you two before. She just didn’t have the knowledge of love in her naive brain. Hunter looked at you and smiled.
“We love you too, kid.” Hunter looked back at Omega and you nodded your head.
“Very much,” you emphasized.
Omega thought of bringing up her problem she discussed earlier with Lyana. Then remembered what Lyana said right before they thought they weren’t going to make it.
Your mother and father, I don’t think you need to worry about a label! If they love you, she paused, catching her breath. Then that’s enough!
Omega smiled thinking back to the moment. She could discuss this with you guys another time. For now, she just wanted to express how grateful she was to have you in her life.

Prompt - ‘You and I walk a fragile line, I have known it all this time, never ever thought I'd see it break. Never thought I'd see it.’
For years both you and Anakin had known you walked a fragile line, at first it wasn’t too obvious, how could it have been when the two of you were just children? The years spent growing up together, side by side were filled with the best of memories but what you didn’t know was the Jedi Council was always watching the blossoming friendship, always weary of how far it would grow.
It wasn’t until you were years older that you realised the scrutiny you were under, even if nobody outright acknowledged it, everybody knew. There were whispers in the halls of you and Anakin, ones that neither of you helped with considering how your friendship grew stronger and stronger each day. You and Anakin were inseparable, you did everything together, you trained together, you ran off together to explore the city, you went on missions together.
The Jedi Council could see the attachment that was growing but just as they were about to put a stop to it, to put some plan into place that would force you and Anakin apart, the Clone Wars began and not even the Jedi Council, much as they wished they could, could deny the fact that you and Anakin were a force to be reckoned with when you fought together.
So whilst they didn't trust this growing attachment they couldn’t do anything but send the two of you off to fight alongside each other, knowing that the risk of your attachment growing was outweighed by the war hanging over them.
The Clone Wars saw you and Anakin somehow spending even more time at each other’s side, fighting back to back for months on end. It wasn’t a surprise to either of you when you both finally caved, it had been a bad mission from the get-go, one that saw you and Rex taken and tortured for days before Anakin and the rest of the 501st could get to you.
Anakin had carried you onto the ship after slaughtering anybody who had stood in his way of getting to you, uncaring of the fact he knew he’d have to answer to the Council later for going against their direct orders to come and rescue you but their plan would have left you with the Pyke’s for days longer and he refused to do that.
He didn’t leave your side as Kix worked to patch up the injuries you’d received and Anakin barely held his anger in check, the ones who had hurt you were dead and you needed him more now. By the time you were blinking awake Anakin had managed to calm himself, smiling at you and assuring you everything was fine even as his heart raced and he remembered the fear that coursed through him each day you were gone.
When Kix finally gave you the all clear Anakin wrapped his arm around you despite your, admittedly weak protests that you were fine. You felt much better but you were never going to push Anakin’s touch away. You let Anakin lead you to his quarters on the ship, both of you needing to be close to one another after the past few days.
It wasn’t until you were in bed together, nothing unusual especially since the Clone Wars began, you and Anakin had often shared a sleeping space. Anakin had you in his arms, finally calm as he listened to you breathe evenly against his chest. He pressed his lips to your head and murmured soft words against your hair, telling you how scared he had been, how he couldn’t lose you.
It was only when you turned your head to look up at him, your expression so full of understanding, of shared fear of what could happen during the War, of love. Anakin could hardly have stopped himself, he’d been so good keeping to himself, knew the kind of scrutiny you were under at the Temple, but here on the ship it was just the two of you, no need to pretend that there were no feelings between the two of you.
That night was spent trading lazy kisses and smiles full of so much happiness, years of feelings finally allowed to be felt.
Of course neither of you were foolish, you knew the risks of a secret relationship, knew it was a dangerous game to play. Away from Coruscant it was easier to manage and whilst you weren’t foolish, you weren’t always all too good at keeping away from each other. Thankfully the Clones were capable of keeping secrets they learnt out on the field a secret from those back home, something you and Anakin were immensely grateful for after being caught locked at the lips by more than one trooper.
Being back in Coruscant was challenging, especially when you were there for longer stretches of time which was becoming few and far between as the war stretched on. It seemed like since the Clone Wars began everyone was keeping an even closer eye on you each time you returned home. The sneaking around and all the risks that came with being together were worth it, especially when you got to spend your nights together.
The two of you talked about everything but the topic you liked most was what you would do when the Clone Wars were won. If Anakin had asked you months ago, before the Clone Wars began, you would have left the Order to be with him, of that you had no doubt. Now both of you were a part of a fight, one neither of you would walk away from until it was finished, but it didn’t stop you dreaming of a life together far, far away.
So many different ideas got tossed around but the one you liked most was a quiet life together, just you and Anakin, a little house that was just yours, away from the questioning eyes of the Council, away from people judging if your feelings for Anakin were wrong. Both you and Anakin had made such promises and plans for the future, neither one of you believing that your relationship could break, there was so much love there that the thought was impossible.
And the thought only became more and more unthinkable as years passed, both of you had grown a lot in the years of the Clone Wars. You really had no choice but to adapt, to toughen your emotions but it only made you and Anakin lean on each other even more, the longer the war lasted the more you tried to hold on hope of the future you whispered about in the early hours of the morning.
But there was a shift in the Force that had you on edge, had you feeling like you couldn’t trust anybody. Anakin felt it too, you know he did but he refused to talk about it with you. You didn’t think too much of it at first, the war was dragging everybody down but Anakin was still angry and lost with the loss of Ahsoka, the shift in the Force only making his mood worse.
Each day passed and you could feel the power of the Dark Side growing more and more, leaving you feeling cold and hopeless for the future of the war. Anakin was going off more and more these days, something that had you raising an eyebrow since the two of you were practically always together, now it felt like you hardly saw him.
When you did finally see him again it was to greet Ahsoka, the young ex-Padawan looking so much more grown up than she had only a few short years ago. Somehow it felt like this war had been going on for much longer than three years, it felt like it was all you’d ever known. Anakin had looked tired and only gave you the bare minimum of responses but when Ahsoka finally arrived his whole face lit up and you couldn’t help the sad smile that pulled at your lips, you really couldn’t wait for this war to be over.
It wasn’t much later than that when Ahsoka was leaving with Rex and half of the 501st that Anakin excused himself after glancing down at his comm, murmuring something about meeting with the Chancellor. You barely suppressed an eyeroll, something about the man had always set you on edge but you’d never been able to figure out why. Anakin had always told you what a great man he was, wise and willing to teach him, but you never bought into the kind, grandfather act.
You let your thoughts wander until Cody came to alert you that Obi-Wan had received a message asking for you and him to meet with the Council, Anakin already there before you arrived with news to share. Hearing him say that the Jedi finally had their chance with Grievous had you feeling a spark of hope, one you hadn’t felt for a while, Ahsoka was on her way to attempt to capture Darth Maul and if the Jedi were successful then this war could be over.
“The Chancellor has requested that I lead the campaign to capture Grievous.” Anakin said and you frowned slightly, looking around the room and seeing the immediate disagreement, quietly sighing knowing it wouldn’t go over well with Anakin.
“No,” Master Windu said, not wasting time, “the Chancellor does not get to decide on these matters.”
“Agree, I do.” Master Yoda said and you watched Anakin’s face shift into a cold, emotionless look. “A master, we shall send.”
It wasn’t even a conversation that needed happening, one Master said Obi-Wan was the Jedi for the job and everybody agreed.
“Skywalker, your mission is to…observe the Chancellor, he won’t suspect anything amiss since he trusts you.” Master Windu said and you watched Anakin frown.
“Suspect? You want me to spy on the Chancellor? What reason do you have for this request?” Anakin exclaimed and you couldn’t help the quiet sigh that escaped you.
“Nothing concrete yet, nothing that you need to concern yourself with, just watch the Chancellor.” Master Windu commanded before turning to you. “Y/L/N, you will accompany Master Kenobi to Utapau and assist with the takedown of General Grievous.”
“And now you’re not even letting me and Y/N work together? You only wished to send a Master to Utapau and now you’re letting her go.” Anakin interrupted but both you and Master Windu ignored him. “Send me to Utapau instead, there is no need to spy on the Chancellor!”
“Of course, Master Windu.” You agreed and Anakin turned to look at you in disbelief, you could all see he was gearing up to say something but you spoke before he could. “If me and Anakin could be dismissed, I’d like to talk to him before our missions?”
“Of course Y/N,” Obi-Wan said softly, a tired smile pulling at his lips. “I’ll have Cody prepare the ship, join us as soon as possible.”
With that you nodded towards the Master’s before gesturing for Anakin to follow you out of the room who did so with a small huff. You lead him to an empty room, making  sure the door closed behind you before you went to talk but before you could Anakin beat you to it.
“Can you believe this?” He huffed again, pacing the room with his arms crossed. “They suspect the Chancellor is a part of something, it’s ridiculous I’ve known the man since I was a child, he just wants to help. Not only that but they want to tear us apart, I won’t let them do it, Y/N!”
“Anakin,” You said slowly, taking a step back towards the door, there was anger coming from Anakin you had never felt before, he was practically radiating burning rage and it felt like it was trying to wrap around you, consume you, to the point where it was almost overwhelming. “I can’t speak for the Council’s decision to observe the Chancellor but for them to think it necessary then something must have happened-”
“Nothing happened, Y/N! Can’t you see, this is just another plan to keep us apart.” You couldn’t help but frown at the words, Anakin kept repeating them, convinced the Council had finally decided to put a stop to yours and Anakin’s bond.
“Anakin, we’re fighting a war! The Council couldn’t care less what we get up to in our free time, not right now. Can’t you feel it Anakin, the war is coming to an end,” You told him desperately trying to dispel some of his anger, stepping forward and wrapping your hands around his crossed arms, “after that what they have to say won’t matter. We’ll have done our part, we’ve fought this war for so long but soon it’ll be done and we can pick one of the thousand lives we’ve wished for and make it our own.”
“They’ll never allow us to do that, you have to see they want to take you away from me.” You had never understood why the Jedi forbid relationships, in the whole time you had known Anakin, in the time you’d had with him you had never felt anything bad from your bond but right here with him you could see why the Jedi forbid attachments. There was something unsettling about the possessive, almost dark look in Anakin’s eyes, the way his pupils widened until you could barely see the colour surrounding it. “Why else would they send you with Obi-Wan?”
“They’re sending me with Obi-Wan because he’s preparing to take on Grievous, he’ll need backup. If I suddenly showed up at the Chancellor's office don’t you think he’d get suspicious?” You said, keeping your voice clear and calm even though you felt anything but.
“Do you want to be with me, Y/N?” Anakin asked suddenly and you couldn’t help but frown.
“Don’t ask stupid questions, Anakin. You know I love you more dearly than anything.” You told him honestly, even with this dark cloud that seemed to hang over him, you hoped it was just because the end of the war was approaching and that once it was won everything would go back to normal.
“Stay with me then. Obi-Wan has the 212th, they’ll be his backup.” Anakin pleaded but you were already shaking your head.
Before you could say anything though you comm went off and Anakin’s face darkened as Obi-Wan’s voice filled the room.
“Y/N, we’re ready on the ship.” He told you, “Do be quick, I’d like to capture Grievous quickly without giving him a chance to escape again.”
“Don’t go with him, he wants to keep us apart.” Anakin told you but you shook your head again.
“I’ll be right there, Master Kenobi.” You said softly into your comm and suddenly Anakin’s hand was around your wrist, holding tightly to him. “Anakin, let go of me.”
Anakin didn’t say anything, just stared at you with a dark look on his face. You held his gaze until he released your arm with a sigh and you didn’t waste any time before leaving the room, not looking back as you made your way to the hangar bay where Obi-Wan waited with the 212th.
“Ready to end a war, Y/N?” Obi-Wan asked as you joined him on the ship, the warm smile on his face such a sharp contrast to the fiery, dark look on Anakin’s.
There was no time to think about that now though, Obi-Wan was right, it was time to end a war. General Grievous was so close, if today went well the war would be over, peace would spread across the galaxy and you would happily leave the Order behind to start a new life with Anakin.
“Let’s do it, Master.” You grinned at him, pushing all thoughts of Anakin out of your head for the moment.
Everything would work out just fine.
It wasn’t the longest battle you had ever fought but it was tiring, thankfully the exhaustion was beat out by the excitement, knowing that you were so close to the end gave you all the energy you needed.
Just as Grievous threw you aside, the air leaving your lungs as you crashed into the wall, you lifted your head up, watching as Obi-Wan clung to the ledge. You watched as he used the Force, drawing a blaster into his fist before he took the shot at Grievous with no hesitation.
You could only stare wide eyed as Obi-Wan kept shooting until there was nothing left but useless remains of Grievous, a breath of relief, of disbelief leaving you. That was it, that was what was needed, the war was won.
“So uncivilised.” Obi-Wan said as he threw the gun causing you to laugh and he immediately walked past Grievous' remains and held a hand out for you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder once you were up and wincing.
“Congratulations, Obi-Wan, you just won a war.” You grinned at him, both of you beaming happily, waiting for years for this moment and it was finally here.
“I couldn’t have done it without your help, young one.” Obi-Wan chuckled, “come, let us go and assist Cody and the others.”
Obi-Wan and you quickly made your way over to Cody, letting him know the news and prepared to make quick work of the rest of the battle so you could return to Coruscant together. As you and Obi-Wan made your way up towards the higher levels you were stopped by blasts directed at you, the fall and then the shock of the water startling you.
“Obi-Wan!” You yelled as you re-emerged from the water, coughing as you looked around. Obi-Wan came up for air seconds later, yelling at you to follow him and he tossed you an aquata breather.
“Come on, we must get to a ship and find out what’s happening.” Obi-Wan whispered once the two of you were a safe enough distance away, Obi-Wan climbing out of the water first, beginning the climb up the wall, holding a hand out to help you up too.
It didn’t take you long to get back to the surface, you and Obi-Wan sharing a glance once you realised it was the Clones that were targeting you. Obi-Wan put a finger to his mouth, gesturing for you to stay quiet before motioning for you to follow him.
It wasn’t long before the two of you got to a ship, both of you climbing in and Obi-Wan didn’t waste any time getting the two of you off of Utapau. You were breathing heavily by the time Obi-Wan had the ship off the planet, the Master immediately taking control of the situation in a way only he knew how to do, sending out an emergency code in a clear and calm voice, the complete opposite to your shaky hands and panting breaths.
Listening to Senator Organa tell you that it wasn’t just the 212th that had turned against the Jedi but it seemed to be every Battalion sent an ache through your heart. For years the Jedi had fought side by side with these troopers, they had become family and to have them turn on you all, it was like you could feel each loss.
The journey to Master Yoda was a silent one, both you and Obi-Wan lost in your heads, thoughts racing a mile a minute. How had things gone so wrong in the span of a few hours, this battle on Utapau was meant to win you the war, it was supposed to be cause for celebration, not whatever this was.
“Good to see you, it is, Master Kenobi, Young Y/N.” Yoda greeted as you and Obi-Wan boarded the ship.
“Master Yoda, thank the Force you’re alright.” You said as you made your way over to him and the Senator, leaning into Bail’s touch as he set a steadying hand on your shoulder.
“How many other Jedi survived?” Obi-Wan asked as Master Yoda gestured for you all to follow him.
“Heard from no one, have we.” Master Yoda told you both and Bail told you of the attack on the Temple and on Coruscant, thousands of troopers attacking and killing any Jedi inside, killing the younglings without a shred of mercy. You stopped walking suddenly causing Obi-Wan to walk into the back of you and call your name but you were staring down at Master Yoda with wide, watery eyes, shaking your head.
“What about Anakin?” You choked out around the sudden lump in your throat. “You’ve heard from Anakin right?”
“Only hope, can we, remains safe, young Skywalker does.” Master Yoda said, suddenly sounding older and more tired than you had ever heard him before.
You stumbled backwards into Obi-Wan’s chest, the man’s hands coming up to your arms to steady you and you immediately turned and buried your head into his chest, sobs wracking your body as he held you close.
“It doesn’t make sense, we know the troopers, we’ve fought at their side for years! Why would they suddenly turn on us?” You cried into his chest and Obi-Wan shushed you, his hand rubbing up and down your back as he looked down at Master Yoda.
“Have we heard anything from the Temple?” He asked, trying to stay strong, stay composed because right now he needed to be a Jedi Master, he could fall apart later.
You listened to the rest of the conversation, hearing the others tell Obi-Wan that all Jedi have been requested back to the Temple, shaking your head into his chest. You heard Obi-Wan say you must go back and stop others from walking into a trap, the two Jedi agreeing that dismantling the code was the only course of action.
You didn’t care about any of that though, all you could do was close your eyes and reach out with the Force. There was far too much distance between you and Anakin but it didn’t stop you from trying to find him, from pleading with him to meet you halfway through your connection and just show you he was alive.
The answering silence sent a wave of fear crashing through you, Anakin couldn’t be dead…he just couldn’t be.
You let yourself be guided into a seat at the front of the ship, only half aware of the plan to sneak into the Jedi Temple whilst Palpatine held a meeting with the Senate. There was an overwhelming amount of anxiety coursing through you on the journey to Coruscant, knowing that if Anakin wasn’t there then the troopers must have gotten to him first. You knew Anakin was a skilled fighter, one of the best Jedi you’d ever met, but even he would be caught off guard by the Clones suddenly attacking.
When you were landed you were forced to snap back to reality, the Temple was guarded by Clones and every one you took down sent an ache through you, especially when you saw their helmets telling you it was the 501st you were fighting, but eventually you were inside the Temple, following closely behind Obi-Wan and Master Yoda as you walked the halls, trying not to look down at the younglings, not until Master Yoda announced they had been killed by a lightsaber.
The security codes were taken care of by Obi-Wan, whilst he and Master Yoda spoke quietly together you couldn’t help but wander over to the displays. Glancing around to see them occupied, you pressed some buttons to access the security recordings, using Obi-Wan’s password to see them.
All you had to do was press play and you would see who had done this, see if you could see any traces of Anakin and prayed to the Force he had managed to escape.
You held your breath as you started the footage, forwarding through the holo recording before stopping, letting it play at normal speed. Tears filled your eyes, a choked gasp escaping you as you stumbled back, like somehow putting distance between you and the recording would make it less real.
It couldn’t be real, Anakin wasn’t capable of that. You believed that with your whole being and yet the proof was playing out before you. You couldn’t stop the sob that left you, knees buckling and you would have fallen to the floor if Obi-Wan had been there to catch you and keep you up right.
Obi-Wan finally turned the footage off when Anakin was pronounced as Lord Vader, shaking his head and pulling you closer to him.
“Destroy the Sith, we must.” Master Yoda said and you pulled away from Obi-Wan, tears staining your cheeks.
“You can’t kill Anakin!” You protested just as Obi-Wan told the other Jedi he couldn’t kill his old Padawan but Master Yoda gave neither of you a choice in the matter, saying it was too late for Anakin, he was gone and only this new Dark version remained.
You couldn’t believe it, you refused to believe it. Not when you knew Anakin better than you knew yourself, not when you had been there when the war became too much and held him against your chest as he cried for all those who had fallen under his command. Not when you had seen his whole face lit up as he snuck the two of you out of the Temple, not when you had felt him hold you so gently, whispering sweet nothings into your hair, so soft and sweet with you.
He couldn’t be gone.
Of course you had known something had changed in the past few months, especially more over the last few days but surely you couldn’t have missed so much that Anakin had fallen to the Dark Side. No, you couldn’t believe that. Master Yoda might have been so ready to give up on Anakin but you weren’t, you knew there had to be some light left in him, Anakin always seemed to shine so brightly, the Darkness couldn’t engulf it all.
“Young Y/N,” Master Yoda said as he turned to leave, “gone is the man you knew. From your attempts to bring him back, only pain and death and suffering will come. What you know is right, do, for the galaxy.”
You didn’t say anything and he walked away without expecting a reply, leaving you and Obi-Wan alone with your memories of a bright boy you both loved deeply, neither of you ready to believe what you had seen.
You let Obi-Wan take the lead, waiting alone for him to tell you he had found Anakin and when he did he gave you a choice.
“I understand if you do not wish to come,” He said softly, you following him out to the ship and trying not to cry again. “I would hardly blame you for wishing to stay away but you may just be the one who is able to bring Anakin back.”
It wasn’t a difficult choice and you boarded the ship alongside Obi-Wan, not bothering to ask where you were going. You were silent for a long time, thoughts running wild before you spoke.
“What did you mean, I might be the one to bring Anakin back?” You asked quietly, turning to look at Obi-Wan, the man keeping his gaze out the window.
“Please do have some respect for my intelligence, Y/N.” Obi-Wan said softly, a small smile that didn’t meet his eyes pulling at his lips as he turned to look at you. “Do you really believe you and Anakin have been so discreet that I haven’t noticed? Of course I know the two of you are together. I know that he would have left the Order for you had you asked and I know you’d have done the same for him.”
“You never said anything.” You said after a few moments of silence, of course Obi-Wan knew and of course he had never given you away to the Council.
“I care deeply for you both, I only wanted you both to be happy.” Was Obi-Wan’s reply before the ship filled with silence again, a planet could be seen in the distance and you took a deep breath, preparing yourself for whatever awaited you on the fiery planet.
“There he is.” Obi-Wan said once you landed, watching a hooded figure leaving the building and you stood first, stopping Obi-Wan before he could stand.
“Let me talk to him first, please Obi-Wan.” You begged him, eyes wide and watery and Obi-Wan hesitated for a moment, eyes darting out of the window before settling back on you.
“Fine but if anything goes wrong I want you to leave me to deal with it, you get back on the ship.” Obi-Wan said, his tone leaving no room for disagreement and you nodded, not wanting to hurt Anakin.
If it came to it you didn’t envy what Obi-Wan would have to do.
“Good luck, Y/N.” Obi-Wan murmured as he opened the hatch and you made your way off the ship, meeting Anakin as he came down the stairs.
“Y/N!” He called, marching over to you and engulfing you in his arms.
Despite everything you had seen, despite the proof so clearly shown to you, you couldn’t help but sink into his arms, gripping his robes between your fingers and crying silently into his chest. Anakin hushed you, feeling your shoulders shaking against him as he tucked you under his chin, his lips pressed to your head.
“I’m so glad you’re safe.” He whispered into your hair and you shook your head, allowing yourself one more moment, one more moment to memorise the way his arms felt around you, the way he felt so strong and steady and desperately hoped this worked out, that you could have this moment again.
“Anakin, what are you doing here?” You cried as you stepped out of his arms, Anakin’s hands not leaving you as they settled on your forearms. “Tell me none of it is true and I’ll believe you.”
“None of what is true?” He asked, his tone deep and cold, sending a shudder through you.
Deep down you knew all of it to be true but until you heard it from Anakin you could let yourself hope.
“Tell me you didn’t fall to the Dark Side, tell me the death and destruction, the killing of the younglings, tell me none of it was you. Tell me you are not this Darth Vader.” You pleaded with him, watching his eyes go cold as his expression hardened. “Please Anakin, please I’m begging you, tell me it isn’t true.”
“I did this for you, Y/N!” Anakin told you, tightening his grip on you. “Don’t you see that, all of this was for us, for you. The Jedi, they are not to be trusted anymore, now the galaxy belongs to us, Y/N! There’s nothing the Council can do anymore, they can’t take you away from me.”
Your blood turned cold and it felt like your heart had stopped. It was all true, you had known it, but now you couldn’t deny it, couldn’t hope that there was some misunderstanding, some deception. It was all true.
“Anakin,” you sobbed, taking a step back and forcing his hands to drop from your arms. “I don’t want this, I don’t want the galaxy. I just want you, Anakin, that is all I ever wanted.”
“And we can have that. With the Jedi gone we are free, don’t you see it? They were going to take you from me, force us apart but now they can’t.” Anakin told you, trying to make you see reason like you were the one who was being unreasonable. “You’re mine, Y/N! I’d kill anyone that tried to take you from me. I won’t lose you.”
“Whatever the Chancellor has told you, whatever he has filled your head with, it’s all lies!” You told him, desperate to break through, to find that small sliver of Light you hoped to be buried within him somewhere. “It’s all lies, nobody was going to take you away from me, I promise. We had a plan, remember, fight the war side by side and then we would do what we wanted with the rest of our lives. We had victory in our fingertips, Anakin, Grievous is dead, we could have gone anywhere, left the Order behind peacefully.”
“They wouldn’t have let that happen!” Anakin protested and you forced yourself closer to him, cupping his cheek and bringing his forehead down to rest of yours, Anakin’s hands automatically wrapping around your waist.
“Of course they would, Ahsoka left and they let her. We were so close, Anakin, none of this destruction was needed. We could have left.” You told him brokenly, tears still sliding down your face. “Stop this now, stop this madness and we can leave together, just take a ship and leave together, we’ll find our own corner of the galaxy, we don’t need it all.”
Anakin was silent for a moment before he looked behind you and you cursed silently when you heard him mutter Obi-Wan’s name.
“I knew it! They want to tear us apart!” Anakin roared and you took a step closer to him.
Anakin-”
“Don’t, you’re a liar! You would just let them take you from me!” He cried out and you moved back when you felt his anger and rage in the Force, the strength of it almost knocking you down.
“Anakin, I love you, I love you more dearly than anything else. Stop this, please, just stop this. We can leave together, Obi-Wan can tell them you won’t be a problem anymore, all of it can be forgotten.” You knew even as you spoke that your words were a lie, the image of Anakin slaughtering your fellow Jedi, slaughtering dozens of younglings, without a shred of mercy was seared into your head.
It seemed Anakin knew your words were a lie too.
“I did this for you, Y/N! You’re all I wanted, all I ever wanted, I couldn’t let them take you.” He told you again, shaking his head like he couldn’t believe you couldn’t see it.
“Don’t put your actions on my head, Anakin. Don’t force me to blame myself for the death of the Jedi, the destruction of the galaxy.” You told him, tone firm but soft. “I never asked for this. I wanted us to fight the Clone Wars, to fight alongside our troops and restore peace in the galaxy and then I wanted to just leave the Order behind us. Nobody would have stopped us. Everything could have been different, Anakin. Why would you walk away from everything we had, from everything we ever spoke and dreamt of?”
“Y/N, I know of their plans, they were never going to let us see each other after the war. I saw it! Just the visions alone were enough to drive me mad, to actually live it, to not have you at my side-”
“Don’t you see, Anakin, none of it was real. The Chancellor, Darth Sidious, whatever he calls himself, he was manipulating you, using any means necessary to get you where he wanted you. Surely you can see it?” You pleaded with him to see sense but knew realistically he was too far gone. “He knows of our love and he is using it for his own gain. Don’t let all those words we said become nothing. I meant everything, did you?”
“You dare question my love for you?” Anakin snarled, one hand raised and suddenly you were in the air with the breath snatched from you.
Obi-Wan finally stepped off the runway, heart breaking at the scene before him. He truly had believed and desperately hoped that you could bring Anakin back but the Anakin he knew would sooner hurt himself than hurt you.
“Admit it, Obi-Wan, you want to take her from me!” Anakin shouted. “I won’t let you.”
“Anakin, don't be foolish. If you truly believe I haven’t known about you and Y/N for years now then I have done my job too well. If I were so against this I have had plenty of opportunities to tell the Council.” Obi-Wan said and that gave Anakin pause but whatever bit of doubt he had quickly left as he shook his head, the Chancellor’s manipulations running too deep.
Your eyes darted to Obi-Wan, panicked and scared, but the other man just gave you a small nod. You desperately hoped Obi-Wan could get you both out of this alive, though with Anakin’s madness, the way the Dark Side seemed to be eating him up, you weren’t particularly enthusiastic about your survival rates.
“Anakin, come with me. All three of us can return to Coruscant, we can fix this. Don’t do something you’ll live to regret here.” Obi-Wan said calmly but it seemed to only anger Anakin.
“You think I’d fall for such a trap, Master?” Anakin spat, the word like venom coming from his tongue and you watched as Obi-Wan let out a small wince, unable to hide it. “I know what fate awaits me if we go with you.”
“Anakin, please listen to him!” You managed to choke out but Anakin only tightened his Force grip on your neck and your fingers scratched at the phantom pressure, your vision dancing with black dots.
“You claim to love her and yet you’re killing her, Anakin!” Obi-Wan exclaimed, lighting his lightsaber and taking a step towards Anakin.
“You truly think you can beat me, Obi-Wan? I have powers you couldn’t even begin to understand. Soon I shall take my rule in my new Empire and Y/N will stand by my side.”
“No, Anakin, she won’t.” The words sent a fresh wave of anger through Anakin and his fist closed tightly.
You felt your airways completely close, lungs burning as you choked, pain spreading throughout your body. It wasn’t until Anakin threw your body aside, painfully hitting the ship that you were left struggling for air, slumping down on the ground and letting your head hit the floor, the sounds of lightsabers hitting against each other the last thing you heard before darkness took over.
You don’t know how much time passed but at some point you felt your body being moved, your eyes flew open and you pushed away from the hands on you, scared Anakin had won. There was no need for it though as Obi-Wan crouched down in front of you, hands raised and you let out a shaky breath.
You let Obi-Wan help you up onto unsteady feet but a groaning from your right had you turning your head, even as Obi-Wan tried to pull your gaze away. You gasped, knees buckling and sobs escaping you as you saw Anakin’s body aflame, broken groans and screams leaving him as he shouted after Obi-Wan, after he saw you standing.
“I’m sorry.” Obi-Wan murmured sadly, tears in his eyes as he pulled you into his arms and led you back towards the ship.
Once you were sat in the seat your eyes immediately found Anakin, the picture before you would forever haunt your waking days as well as your dreams, it would be one that stayed with you forever.
You didn’t know what you were supposed to do now, everything seemed so dark and hopeless. So much of your future had always involved Anakin but now Anakin was dead, left to burn on a fiery planet and you knew the pain would never leave you. You had never thought that what you and Anakin had would break, truly never thought you’d live to see the day, and yet here you were, flying away from him, heart broken so painfully for a future that was so close and lost just like that.

«Don’t leave me. || Cal Kestis ||
A/n: I’m in the mood to write angst for Cal, so here is a very angsty fic with a fem!Reader
Prompts:
“I wish we had more time.”
“No, please, no. Don’t fall asleep. No, open your eyes, come on, look at me—”
“No, no, no, I love you, please — please come back.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had always hope that you would die of old age, peaceful in your sleep, not to bleeding out on the Mantis. But since when does anything ever work out, when does anyone really get what they want.
Taking a ragged breath in, you gave red haired Jedi a weak smile. You did your best to raise your hand to place it against his cheek. You knew you had to be strong for Cal or he’ll never forgive himself.
“I wish we had more time.” Closing your eyes a weak laugh escaped your lip. You tried not to think about the blood seeping from your wound.
“Don’t say that, we’re gonna get you some help. You’re gonna be fine…I promise you’re gonna be gone.” Cal squeezed your hand tightly.
“Cal” You found yourself trying to fight yourself to stay awake.
Shaking his head, Cal closed his eyes refusing to believe that you’re dying. “You’re gonna be okay…You’re gonna be okay.”
Forcing out another weakened laugh, you let your thumb glide across his cheek. “Don’t lose your hope Cal.” Trailing off you tried to keep your eyes opened but you just felt so tried. “I just need to rest.”
“No, please, no. Don’t fall asleep. No, open your eyes, come on, look at me—” Pulling away, Cal cupped your cheeks as he desperately tries to wake you, your body limp in his arms.
Panicking, Cal pulled your body close. His face pressing into your neck, his tears standing your skin. It didn’t feel real, none of this felt real, it had to a dream.
You couldn’t be dead, he refused to believe that you were just gone.
“No, no, no, I love you, please —please come back.”Cal begged as he clung to you, his pleas becoming more desperate.
He hated how cold you felt, how limp your body was in his, he prayed that this is all a nightmare. That you’ll wake him up with a smile on your face, that he would be seeing your cheerful self.
“Please.”
Even with the crew watching, and know matter how much he begged you weren’t coming back.
You were never coming back.
Fuck hope.

rules
ft. fives x jedi! reader
description | you’re coming around to your feelings, but you’re still fearful due to the nature of both of your occupations. you soon learn fives isn’t one to care too much about the rules, and maybe you find that you don’t either. wc 732. divider by bunnysrph.

According to those who had witnessed your interactions, it was quite clear that Fives held more than just platonic feelings for you. In your opinion, Fives was just being friendly, no different than how he treated any of his other friends. However, he had no shame in proudly declaring to others that out of all of the Jedi Order, you were his favorite General—much to your embarrassment.
It wasn’t that you were necessarily embarrassed of his affections, but more so your own reactions to his behavior. Though you pride yourself on remaining cool headed no matter the situation at hand, that demeanor never seemed to last long with Fives around: your current situation was a testament to that fact.
Having a moment to yourself after returning planetside, you took a seat on a nearby bench and rested your eyes. The hum of the various insects and creatures milling about helped distract you from the colossal amount of paperwork that was sure to be on your desk when you returned to Coruscant. Hearing the sound of quickly approaching footsteps, you stood to your feet and stretched. Surely it was only someone coming to let you know what time you would be moving out to return to headquarters. “General! Ahsoka told me I could find you out here.”
“Fives, I didn’t even know you were here.” You responded sheepishly, making a poor attempt at hiding not only the surprise but also the nervousness in your voice. His mere presence sent a wave of goosebumps over your flesh. He waved a gloved hand before walking over to where you were currently standing, enveloping you in a hug.
This certainly wasn’t the first hug you received from him, but it still managed to take your breath away every single time it happened. Releasing you and resting his hands on your waist, you fumbled for a moment before settling your own on his biceps—thankful that he wouldn’t be able to feel how warm they had grown through the armor he wore.
“I missed you.” You didn’t need to remind Fives that Clones and their Jedi Generals weren’t allowed to be in relationships, he definitely knew that already. A part of you knew if you were to remind him of that, he likely wouldn’t care anyway. “Did you miss me?” His voice held teasing lilt to it, but you could still sense the genuine curiosity behind his question.
”I did.” You answered honestly, shifting your gaze to the blue paint on his armor which you suddenly found more interesting than looking him in the eye. This wasn’t at all easy for you to admit, nevertheless out loud. Jedi were forbidden from forming attachments, and the Republic wasn’t exactly open to allowing the Clones to have their own lives outside of being forced to fight in the war—which you obviously disagreed with. Fives deserved someone who actually had time to dedicate towards having a relationship and give him all of the love he truly deserved—not someone who was going to be both emotionally and physically unavailable the majority of the time.
Even though you were sure that your brain was jumping to conclusions, being that Fives hadn’t even admitted that he was interested (despite your peers saying otherwise). If you were caught right at this moment, it could mean disastrous implications for the both of you. Someone could report you both, and Fives could even be-.
Your thoughts were immediately cut short when you felt Fives swiftly press his lips against yours and then pull away, resting his forehead against your own. It was over before you even had a chance to register what happened.
“I missed you too, you’re overthinking again.” He was right, but you weren’t willing to let him take the risk without acknowledging the obvious.
“Maybe I am Fives, but what if we get caught? You know we aren’t allowed to-“
“I know what the rules say we aren’t allowed to do, but what do you want?” He asked again, placing a gentle hand on your chin, forcing you to look at him. The slight smirk on his lips made it difficult to keep your own smile at bay.
“I guess, I want you Fives.” His smile only widened before he kissed your lips again. At this point, you realized that you weren’t one to care too much what the rules had to say either.

Dating headcanons for Kabu, Raihan, and Piers please?
Dating Headcannons for Kabu, Raihan, Piers
Sfw
Gn!reader
Cut for length
Kabu
Extremely traditional, he has the entire date planned out has a whole list of things to do and places to eat, and things to see.( more often than not already has a reservation planned)
No matter if it's your first second third or 600th the date he'll always feel nervous to take you out somewhere.
You never expected Kabu to be so romantic, he just wants to make sure you're having a good time.
Kabu's idea of a date is just as traditional a fancy dinner or somewhere quiet and go home.
The gym leader does admit that it has been sometime since he's taken someone out, and he wouldn't be surprised if dating has changed in recent years, so he would be open to anything if you decide to change it. But his first instincts will always be take you out to dinner.
Now he doesn't mind taking you places to have fun it will just take him a while to let loose a little bit. He'd much rather take it slow.
During the actual date, Kabu won't take his eyes off you; you have his full attention.
Kabu prefers taking it slow he is not interested in flings when he is with someone he is in for the long haul. He wishes for a partner to stay by his side.
Kabu says is not a jealous man but you can't help but notice his eyes seemed to Twitch when someone gets a little buddy with you.
Raihan
Raihan thrives off dates while a dinner is considered for him, it isn't his go-to.
Like the extroverted battery he is he will drag you to any place he thinks is fun and wants to bring you to. Every attraction in Galar are you two have gone to at least twice. And precious thumb drives are filled with pictures and videos of every date. The ones he posts on his social media are not even 1% of the ones he has.
Raihan is less of a list and plan guy and more of a follow your heart.
If going out isn't really your thing or going anywhere where there's a lot of people he'll try to meet in the middle because a date is successful when two people are having fun.
As much as I do see Raihan being the more extroverted going out and doing things kind of boyfriend I do think he is rather flexible with Partners who don't really want to go out.
Raihan is extremely perceptive of other people, and we'll take note of your likes and dislikes, to be completely honest he is the happiest when you're happy.
Raihan is a self-proclaimed Master at dating spots; like I said, he is highly perceptive of the people he is dating. He'll pick a place that he knows you'll like, and he'll pick up on your habits pretty quickly. He'll know when you are or not having fun.
Raihan is a very doting boyfriend anyone would be lucky to be with him.
I also see him as quite the gift-giver as well, he puts a lot of thought into every gift he gives you, ( sometimes he has Dragon brain and gives you a Shiny rock or nick nack he randomly saw and made him think of you)
Piers
Eh, to be completely honest Piers doesn't care one way or the other; if going on dates means a lot to you, then sure, he'll do it to make you happy. But Piers can spend time with you in any way he wants to without any of that fancy stuff.
A guy like him, oblivious and doesn't know what romance even is, would be very in trouble on a first date, lucky for him, his sister has his back whether he wants help or not. What kind of sister would she be if she let her brother crash and burn? And Raihan can supply good spots in Galar that have good reviews and are good dating spots
Piers classifies anything as a date, even if it's just you, too, having a lazy Sunday on the couch.
Peirs ideal date if you were to ask him he, would probably say being at home with his partner eating pizza and watching The Great Galar Bake Off.
But once in a blue moon, Piers will knock you out of the park with something you never expect from him. Taking you outside of the town and watching the Stars or Have you listen to a short song he wrote about you. You have no idea where is this comes from because usually, your Piers has no romantic bone in his body.
If you would like to take him out somewhere, sure, he'll bite. He doesn't mind either way.
Piers has a tendency to be a little protective over people he really likes.
Maybe even a little bit possessive over you specifically.

Allow Me // ch 1
Darth Vader x F!Reader
Tumblr media
based on this ask by @informationqueen
(a/n: sorry this took so long!! but thank you for waiting!! I just got really focused on finishing up unconditionally and getting enigma set up for the climax. But, never the less, here it is!)
People would kill to be in your position, an officer on Darth Vader’s ship, the Executor. You couldn’t complain really, but ever since you transferred, something had felt off, you couldn’t seem to fit in or find your place amongst the others on board. Sadly, you receive some upsetting news and debate leaving, until an interaction with the Sith Lord, himself, leaves you curious as to who he is under all of that armor (literally & figuratively)
Warnings: mention of parental death, cannon violence, death, depiction of anxiety attack, depressive episode, loneliness, slut shaming, cursing, crude names, harassment
________________________________________
Walking through the halls of your new posted station, you felt a sense of loneliness.
The white halls with troopers cycling through seemed so cold. You had worked here for a few weeks, yet you hadn’t made a single meaningful connection with anyone.
On the contrary, it seemed like most people just saw you as a nuisance, especially a unit of troopers that seemed to make a game out of tormenting you.
As much as you tried, no one seemed interested in becoming acquaintances with you and it was wearing you down by the day.
But you needed to push through your discomfort, this was one of the best jobs in the empire. Working on Lord Vader’s personal ship?
People would kill to be in your shoes.
You made your way down one of the many monotonous corridors to deliver a message to Admiral Ozzel about a new development in the rebel pursuit.
Personally, you didn’t really have opinions on the matters of the galaxy, of course you wanted peace for your system, but you couldn’t see a way to really fit into its liberation. So you went on with your life and did the best you could to be a decent human.
Tensions on the Executor were fairly high with the pursuit of the Rebels fresh on Lord Vader’s mind. You had only ever seen Vader from a distance and he never spoke directly towards you. You often wondered if he even knew half of the people who worked under him.
_______________________
You were about to turn the corner into Ozzel’s office when the doors swooshed open and he stomped past.
“Wait! Sir, I have a message for you” You said, trying to catch up to the man.
He didn’t hear you and continued down the busy corridor to a control room. You followed closely behind but stopped when you entered the doorway of the room.
Blinking lights and shimmering screens littered the space and a rush of busy admirals and empire workers bustled about the room. A loud beeping sound began and a large screen flashed sciatica before showing the mask of the most feared man in the galaxy.
Darth Vader.
You decided it better not to give the Admiral his message until after the suited man was done speaking; you stayed largely outside of the room, but peeked your head around the corner to see what was happening.
Admiral Ozzel turned to the dark figure and addressed him, though he didn’t get to finish his sentence before he began choking.
“You have failed me for the last time, admiral” the deep mechanical voice boomed.
Your eyes widened as you saw the man you had just been trailing, collapse lifeless on the sleek floor of the executor.
As much as he was a nuisance, he didn’t deserve death.
Soon, Vader had shifted command to the next Admiral and exited the call. He was terrifying. The stories of him reached every corner of the galaxy and everyone knew them, but some of you just didn’t believe it.
But he just killed a man through a screen… What the fuck.
A gloved finger tapped your shoulder, making you jump. As you turned around, you noticed the man as the man who just replaced Ozzel.
“What are you doing here?” he asked quite assertively, he was probably just on edge from witnessing his co-worker be killed right beside him.
“I was tasked with giving news of the rebel pursuit to Admiral…Ozzel” you trailed off as you watched two stormtroopers drag his limp body out of the control bay.
“Well, now you may relay that information to me” the man standing before you stated.
You straightened your posture and delivered the news.
_____________
As you finished your rounds, walking through the monochromatic halls of the flagship, you felt a buzz from the holo-pad clipped to your side.
The blue screen flashed pixels spelling out your father’s name.
Odd. He never contacted you.
Begrudgingly you moved to lean against an indent in the wall as you checked his message.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry, But your mother…”
Oh no.
“Your mother has passed” you heard him choke out on the audio message.
You cut the pad off and slowly slid your back down the wall. You didn’t know what to think, your parents were both healthy and led pretty normal lives, how did she?
The news was so sudden and unexpected. And where were you? Focusing on your career, several systems away….You didn’t get to say goodbye.
You were more in shock than anything, but as you sat there for a moment the tears began to fall. You leaned over your knees and held yourself. You didn’t know how much time had passed when you heard the familiar step of heavy boots.
Your heart skipped a beat when you felt the nearing presence of the sith lord.
Maker, this really wasn’t a good time.
You were about to stand at attention for Lord Vader, but before you could, he was already standing over you.
“State your business here” his deep mechanical voice boomed.
Your heart began to race, he had never directly spoken to you. Yet here he was looking into your glassy eyes.
You bowed and began to explain yourself. “My apologies, my Lord, I was-”
“You seem to have been crying” he observed.
Your face heated up even more now, was he going to kill you because he found you “weak”?
“I-I’m sor-”
“I sense your great discomfort, tell me what has happened?” he asked, tilting his helmet slightly.
He's asking you what happened? Does he really care? Probably not, but you saw what happened earlier when his orders were defied.
“It’s my mother, my Lord…She passed,” you said quietly.
You heard as his mechanical breathing hitched before he looked down the hallways. Once he turned back to you he placed a gentle gloved hand on your upper arm.
“My condolences. I understand.” he said before turning and leaving, his normal strut carrying him down the corridor.
_____________________________
For the next few days you were still in denial that the interaction with Vader happened. He was known to be a coldhearted machine who never had any emotion other than hatred. But, to you, he was….kind?
Your father had your mother buried quickly after her passing, sadly you were not able to attend her funeral, but maybe it was better that way. If you went back home, you might not have ever come back to the executor.
You walked around the ship checking off equipment efficiency, today you had the exclusive card to Lord Vader’s meditation chamber. You had checked out that technology before, but you were unusually anxious this time.
What if you ran into him there? Would he remember you?
You swiped the silver card and entered the dark room. Your breath hitched as the doors revealed his chamber to be closed… he was in there.
You gathered all the courage you could and continued to the control system. The task was to check the equipment but you felt as if it were a violation of privacy. You had never been in the room while Vader was actually meditating so you had no idea what to do.
For lack of better ideas you gently knocked on the outer shell of the chamber and prayed he wouldn’t crush your airways.
The Pod whirred and slowly began to ascend. You gulped as you heard the squeal of his helmet being secured to the rest of his suit.
You bowed as his chair turned to face you. “I am sorry for the intrusion, My Lord. I have been tasked with inspecting the mechanics and I thought it best to alert you I would be in the room” you spoke.
He lifted a hand, “No need for apologies”.
Huh?
That was much more laid back than you were expecting.
“I sensed your intent once you entered. I have no qualms with people doing their jobs..unless it negatively affects me.” his mechanical voice conveyed to you.
You made sure to silence your thoughts, you didn’t know how much he could sense your emotions. But you knew he was being uncharacteristically cordial.
“Thank you My Lord” you rose from your bow.
His dark lenses stared at you for a moment before he spoke once more, “You are the officer I encountered in the corridor, are you not?”.
You nodded.
“Were You able to see your mother buried?” he asked.
Why was he asking you this, it's not like he cared.
“No sir, my schedule did not permit time for that, she was buried on our home planet just the other day.”
His dark mask tilted downward. He must have been deep in thought because he didn’t register your voice until you repeated yourself for the third time.
“My Lord?”
“Continue your duties, pay no heed to myself” he spoke after another second of silence.
Your heart began to thump heavily inside your chest, you almost would have rather he ordered you to exit. Now you were stuck in here poking around as the mechanics while he was attempting to meditate nearby.
“I am regretful that you were not able to see her buried” his voice chimed in, surprising you.
“Oh, um, thank you, my lord” you said shyly
“I understand your pain” was all he said before returning to his meditative state.
Your heart tugged as you worked, you knew you shouldn’t make a habit of running into and conversing with THE Darth Vader, but you couldn’t help but feel compelled. The rhythmic breathing of his suit oddly comforted you as you worked maintenance, he was really the only person who had expressed any interest in your life in months.
As you finished the last of your tasks you thought about how crazy this situation was, not only did he allow you to work in his room; you know he said he didn’t mind workers just doing their jobs, but he never allowed people into his meditation chamber with him. Never.
But he also never acknowledged anyone’s emotions, much less sympathize with them.
You gathered your supplies and headed out, looking back once you reached the doors to see if you should say goodbye or just leave. He was seated away from you; his shoulders were so broad, you wondered what he may look like under the suit…
“Thank you, my Lord” you said, deciding to announce your exit, rather than just leave– you didn’t exactly know what he thought of you, but you didn’t want to assume anything or create a bad impression.
________________
Once the large doors closed behind you, you took a deep breath and leaned against the nearest wall.
Maker, that was intense.
You stood there for a moment to gather your thoughts when two troopers walked by; much to your chagrin, they were the two who seemed to enjoy antagonizing you.
“Well well well… what do we have here?” one of them spoke.
“‘What’s got you all out of breath?” the other snarky asked.
You straightened your back and furrowed your brow, “That is none of your concern”
One kept his eye on you as the other nudged him and motioned towards the chamber door.
“Ohhh, I see. Little officer y/n, providing her services to Sith lords across the galaxy”.
“I bet you love when Lord Vader whips out his ‘saber’, just for you.”
“Oh yea, Vader’s personal concubine” they laughed together.
“Real mature” you said, attempting to push past the two taller troopers.
“Hey, were not the ones “sucking” up to the boss, I mean look at her… it makes sense, how else do you think she got a position here?” one implied, tapping the temple of his helmet.
“Yeah, it's not like she’s particularly good at her job”, the other snickered.
“At least she’s got a pretty face”
You pushed past the two, feeling your anger about to spill over.
“Aww, where ya goin’ sweetheart? We were just joking” they laughed behind you.
_______________________________
The rest of your week went on normally, you continued maintenance on whatever needed it and ran messages to various people. Though, you were finding hate mail by your quarters; you knew it was the troopers having their fun and you knew they’d be vandalizing your door if it wasn’t empire property.
You weren’t distraught over the disgustingly crude letters they were leaving, more than anything you felt numb; why did they care to torment you if you didn’t even feel it anyway.
At this point, you existed purely as a cog to the machine of the empire. That's all you were.
Maybe a walk would clear your mind; it was after hours and you knew you weren’t allowed to go far, but it was better than going stir crazy in your room.
The white door in front of you opened with a “swoosh” and you stepped through the frame. As usual, there was a crumpled up letter at your feet. You sighed and tossed it into the waste bin, why bother reading it? You’d just get another tomorrow…and the next day… and the next.
As you roamed the cold halls, pondering your situation. You had no friends, no claims to your own, your mother passed and you weren't even there.
On top of that you were completely replaceable, the empire didn’t even need you; surely there was another being out there just as, if not more, capable than you.
All of these emotions and thoughts used to eat at you, but now you struggled to even feel at all.
It was getting bad.
Before you knew it, you were as far from the sleeping quarters as you were technically permitted, you prepared to head back when a familiar sound caught your ear.
That breathing, it was him.
You flattened yourself against the wall and held your breath, if he saw you out here after hours and not in the approved uniform, you would actually be done for.
His heavy footsteps halted and you heard the clink of stormtrooper armor clamoring down the hall.
“Stop.” the deep mechanical voice commanded.
“Yes, Lord Vader” you heard the trooper respond. Ugh, not just any troopers, it was definitely the pair who had been tormenting you.
There was a moment of silence before the trooper spoke again, “Is everything alright, sir?”.
Soon, you heard a blaster crash to the floor and the nerve wracking sound of suffocation.
“I’m not sure, I’m feeling pretty tense, I haven’t seen my ‘concubine’ lately”
Oh shit.
The trooper who wasn’t being choked to death spoke up, “please. My lord, he didn’t mean anything by it!”
You peeked around the corner just enough to see Vader menacingly turn towards the other trooper, gloved hand still outstretched by his belt. All of a sudden he released his force hold on the man, allowing him to fall to the floor.
The free standing trooper knelt down to help the other back to his feet.
“I see now, the two of you meant no harm. Carry on” Vader spoke, returning his hands to his sides.
The troopers gave each other a look before they quickly scrambled down the corridor. As Vader turned the other way towards the other exit.
You were about to head back as well, until you heard faint crunching followed by cries of pain. You looked back around the corner and saw the troopers grabbing at their helmets and Vader slowly turning back towards them.
With a simple swipe of his hand he sharply drew the men closer to him; they ended up suspended off the ground, their armored bodies thrashing around.
“I will not allow your insulting behavior on my ship- and it seems this is not the first disturbance you have caused” his strong voice boomed through the corridor.
You silently rose and started tip-toeing back to the rooms, you definitely did not want to be caught here, and it sounded like the Sith lord was concluding business. As you hurried back, the halls behind you rang with crunching and two final screams.
________________
You made sure to jump straight into bed and turn every light out; a sheen of sweat still covering your forehead.
You got back just fine, but why did you still feel uneasy? You had seen the horrors of the empire, two trooper’s death’s shouldn't shake you that much…
Was it the fact that they were dead because of a conversation you were a part of? What if the Sith lord came for you next? No. he wouldn’t…
right?
You did nothing wrong… well, he doesn’t know that…. Maker!
Soon you were on the verge of a panic attack, the pounding of your heartbeat thumped in your ears and you couldn’t seem to catch your breath. You just needed to relax.
Breathe in through the nose. Out through the mouth. In…out…in…out…
Once you calmed down you checked the time on the built-in digital clock all the rooms had; fuck, over half and hour had passed and you had to be up in four hours.
What you needed to do now was focus on falling asleep so you could do good work tomorrow.
You settled down and began to drift into a comforting sleep, everything was ok-
Through the thin walls of the workers quarters, you made out a familiar gait… those heavy boot steps… that patterned breathing.
He was coming.

AHHH😭 in that case may i request for a yandere shin please 🙏🏻
your savior | shin hati x reader
Tumblr media
summary. with shin’s new experience of love and devotion for you, her true nature of destruction and chaos erupts when you are ripped away from her.
content warnings. mdni! yandere!shin x reader, dark fic!, suggestive themes but no smut, nothing gory but there’s some blood, also shin kills a few(?) people *awkward thumbs up*
note. it’s a little short but i hope u like it! and thank u for requesting :)
Tumblr media
Shin didn’t expect to love you as much as she did. The first time she saw you, you were newly recruited by her master, thinking that Shin could use an extra pair of hands on her ship during solo missions—a replacement for that battered astromech droid she found that keeps malfunctioning on board. In the beginning, talking to you—well, besides giving you orders—was a rare thing to happen while you were there. But even so, you talked to her anyway, even when it seemed like she couldn’t care less. But, she liked the sound of your voice. It soothed her ways she couldn’t even imagine. And despite everything, Shin is observant. She’s been watching you ever since she saw you. She knows your routine, your habits, everything… she fell in love with how you acted when you thought nobody was looking. You were just beautiful. And you could feel it sometimes; a pair of eyes lingering on you when you were rewiring the control panel, when you were cooking, even while you were… changing.
After spending more of her time alone with you, controlling herself around you had gotten incredibly hard. It had gotten especially difficult when you had to patch up a cut on her cheek—a mistake in battle that she did not take lightly. Shin remained tense as you carefully applied a bacta patch, your eyes fixed on the process as her jaw clenched. Something flutters in Shin’s stomach as the pad of your delicate fingers carefully touches her face—something warm, something… scary. Her intense eyes shift downward to the sight of your lips, your bottom lip seeping with blood after your own fight against the people that attacked you, and they couldn’t look any more appetizing to her. Shin’s thoughts are fogged up with this devoted insanity, as you worked quickly to patch her up. The irresistible desire to press her lips against yours muddles her brain. You were just so pretty, so caring, so… bright. Unlike the way she could ever be. She wanted you to be like this with her forever. She needed you to.
But when that dreadful time came when you had been taken captive by pirates—those goddamn pirates in the Outer Rim Territories—her calm and composed demeanor shattered as her emotions surged to the surface. It was rage, like she had never experienced before; her hands were clenched and trembling in anger, and her eyes blazed with fury. With unmatched skill and relentless determination, Shin slashed and cut through every single pirate in her path, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in her wake. She spared no one, her lightsaber cutting down anyone who dared to stand in her way.
And your heart leaped as soon as Shin came into sight. But, as Shin drew nearer, your happiness gave way to a growing unease, the air thick with tension and the metallic scent of blood.
There, before you, Shin's silhouette was framed by the eerie, pulsating glow of her lightsaber, and the flickering lights only made her blink in and out of existence, almost as if she were a phantom haunting the corridor. Bodies lay scattered on the floor, lifeless and motionless; a grim testament to the power that she had just unleashed. The soft hum of the lightsaber filled the corridor, a haunting melody that echoed in the cold, lifeless space. And her face… Shin’s face was splattered with the blood of the pirates she had mercilessly dispatched. And instead of the warm, comforting expression you had hoped for, you were met with a twisted smirk on her face. It was a triumphant, cocky grin that seemed out of place in the midst of this chaos.
"Shin…" you breathed out, shifting under her gaze with your hands tied behind your back to some old, rusty pipe against the wall. "W-What did you do?"
"I killed them for you," she said, the hum of her lightsaber ringing in your ears, and she smiled.
“You… you killed…” You looked at the fallen bodies behind her, "A-All of them?"
"I did it for you. To save you."
You shivered, flinching at every sudden noise, at every thud of her footsteps, and at every sudden beep of the pirate’s base alarm. It was a terrifying reminder of the darkness that lurked within Shin, and you couldn't help but wonder what this power had cost.
With Shin’s brain muddled with the fantasies of having you with her again, her heart fluttered at the sight of you so disheveled, so rugged, and so… vulnerable. To have you beneath her, staring up at her like that. So gorgeous. In that moment, she thought of you as a weak, fragile, and precious thing that needed protection—that you needed her. She wanted to kiss you, even take you on the floor of this goddamn pirate lair if you’d let her. And even with the fear in your eyes, you still looked so, so beautiful. It didn’t matter to her anymore if you looked at her with love or hate; she just needed you to look at her. Because for you… she’d burn the galaxies.

Tumblr media
As the scenes from your day replay in your mind like a bad accident replays on the news reel, the walls of your rooms on board the Endurance seem to be closing in with every breath you take. You’re not sure if it’s the pain from the blaster shot in your side that you still haven’t had seen too or the humiliation of your all too public berating from Master Windu, or maybe it’s everything about this gods damned misson but tears are threatening to spill over your lashes.
Jesse’s screaming at you in the middle of the battlefield. For the men who have been with you for the past three days on this campaign, this is not an unusual sight but the both of you have thrown caution to the wind, the battle forgotten as you scream back at him. Your lightsaber is deflecting stray blaster fire as if it has a mind of its own. It probably does at this point. And you’re angry. So outraged at the pure nerve of the man standing in front of you, you feel like you’re about to burst out of your own skin. You need an outlet and it comes to you in the form of a tidal wave. An explosion of pure, primal energy that pushes everything around you back. Clones and droids alike are knocked to their feet, even the ships are pushed off balance. Everything is off kilter but Jesse. This only makes you even more angrier.
“How dare you question my lead? My allegiance? As if my very life hasn’t been sacrificed?” Your voice is rising over the sounds of battle, the blasters firing, men shouting, shells exploding.
He’s shouting back at you. “I have every right to question you! If I don’t, who will? My interests lie with my men and you,” He stabs a black gloved finger at you. “are going to get us killed!”
Your grip on your lightsaber is deathening, your knuckles turning white, the leather strap absorbing the sweat from your palms, no longer a source of comfort. There’s a drumming noise inside your head and you can barely think around it. “They are my interests too!” You shout.
Jesse squares up, setting his shoulders back and strengthening himself to his full height. Even in your heeled battle boots, he towers over you. “I find that hard to believe, Commander. If they were, we wouldn’t be stuck between an impossible overpass and half the separatist army.”
You do not back down. You step up, squaring your own shoulders. “That was an oversight on your behalf, I pointed out the overpass and you said it would be fine.”
Jesse growls, his lips curling back with a sneer. “It was your poor planning that led to the oversight in the first place.”
“You reassured me the overpass wouldn’t be a problem. You gave me your word!” In your anger and what feels akin to betrayal, your guard slips and your saber is lowered for half a second. That half a second was more than ample enough time for a blaster shot to find its mark at your side. It hits you with such blunt force that it almost sends you flying into the ARC troopers arms.
He lets out a feral sound, ripping from his throat and turns, shooting the droid that got you in the head. From that moment on, Jesse coordinates the retreat, saying your life and his men’s. But the mission is deemed a failure and that’s enough reason for you to argue with him all the way back to the pick up point.
The mission should have been simple. Windu would lead a small attack force through the old mining tunnels of the mountains of Tunnack, a planet that had been seeped in separatist control since the beginning of the war. Skywalker and his men would advance from the western side of the capital city, Baden. Tano would keep track of everything in the skies. You and Jesse, and a small group of soldiers, a mix of the 501st and 91st, were to advance through the mountains, securing the trade pass and pushing the droid army back into the abandoned city until they were sandwiched between yourself, Windu and Skywalker. It was almost a textbook campaign. Until it wasn’t. You couldn’t pinpoint where it went wrong for you and Jesse.
Once upon a time, before Jesse had become an insufferable ARC trooper, the two of you had actually got along. But now, your interactions are limited to aggressive negations and heated debates and sour sneers. But you have never actually reached a critical and explosive point such as this.
As the words from Windu start to replay, the look of pure disappointment on his face flashing behind your eyelids, your tears finally overspill. You let your utility belt crash to the floor, your lightsaber clanging as it hits the steel floor of the ship. Your boots are next to go, the soft leather landing with a soft thump. You fling your outer layey of your tunic off, and let yourself flop into bed and cry. You sob, your wails disguised into your pillow.
You cry because you should know better. You cry because instead of sobbing like a child, you should be meditating, or talking all this out with your master, or even… Jesse. But you cry because you really, really cannot stand another second on this damned ship, another minute on this campaign, with Jesse glaring at you like you’re the worst person in the entire galaxy.
A knock at the door halts your tears. You wipe your face and inhale a deep, cold breath of air into your lungs. “Come in.”
When the door reveals Jesse, it takes everything in you not to sob again. You watch as he surveys your tiny quarters, the only space on this ship that is truly your own. He walks over to your lightsaber that lies abandoned on the floor and reaches down for it.
In an instant, any thoughts of tears disappear. You’re on the defensive at the sight of your weapon in his hands. You jump from your cot, landing on both feet, despite the pushing pain of protest from your side. The way he twirls the hilt of your saber in his hands, as if almost appreciating the workmanship in the weapon, is enough to make you feral with rage. Again.
“What are you playing at?” An edge to your voice betrays how uneasy this situation makes you feel.
Jesse walks around you, taking a seat on the edge of your cot. Leaning elbows on knees, he brings the weapon closer to his eyes to inspect the detail. The carvings of vines native to your home planet etched into the dark metal the leather wrapped around the grip, the beads that were a gift from Master Windu hanging off the end. “What am I playing at? I think the question we should be asking is, what are you playing at, ad’ika jetti? What was that bullshit out there today?”
“I could ask you the same thing, ARC Trooper. You never should have questioned me.”
“So Rex and Skywalker say. Say it’s bad for the men to see me question you… But it’s about time someone did, don’t you agree? You think you’re above the rest of us…” Jesse pushes himself up from the bed and takes a step closer to you. “Just because you have a lightsaber and a silly little braid in your hair.” His hand is wrapped around your lightsaber so tightly, you hope the rough spots you have learned to accommodate are cutting into his hands.
“I don’t think that.”
He takes another step closer to you and there’s a hint of a 5 o’clock shadow on his face, and he reaches out to pull your padawan braid over your shoulder, giving it a tug. “Prove it then. The men don’t trust you anymore. I don’t trust you, either.”
In a moment of clarity, perhaps the first you’ve had since the start of this force forsaken campaign, the teachings of your master come to the forefront of your mind and you take a step back. ‘I’m not doing this with you anymore. We hate each other. That’s fine. After the campaign, I’ll avoid you the best I can until we reach coruscant. Then, with any luck, we’ll never see each other again.” You were not going to take Jesse’s bait for a fight that did not have to happen.
You try to step away from Jesse, but he’s not moving and he’s not letting you move either. “It’s not that. It’s not that at all. You don’t hate me.” He takes another step, backing you into the wall of your quarters. The cold of the metal bites through the light layer of your under tunic. “If you really hated me as much as you claim, you wouldn’t dream about me the way you do.”
You freeze, the breath caught in your throat. There’s no way he could know about your dreams. You haven’t told a soul. Those dreams betray your every waking thought, everything you have worked so hard to achieve. They’re vivid happenings of the most filthy things. Hands wandering all over your body, praises falling from lips. And they’re always about him. They are everything you don’t get from him. The dreams ruin your nights, leave you aching and drenched in sweat and desperate for relief. They ruin your days, the lack of sleep shortening your temper, turning you into a snappy and brash version of yourself.
“I know the way you moan my name in the middle of the night. You can’t stay away from me forever. We all need what we need, don’t deny me.”
You push him away, eyes narrowing. “Where has this come from?”
He shrugs. “You tell me. You’re the one sending me the dreams every night. And then you spend the majority of the day trying to get me killed.”
You shake your head. “No, no, no,” You say, pushing him away again. This is not want you need right now.
“You need me.” He says, your eyes squeezing shut as you refuse to acknowledge how his voice has dropped in tone. Before you can register what’s happening, Jesse has your chin between his fingers, turning your face to him. He’s closing in on you again, deep golden eyes flickering between your own eyes and lips. “I want to hear you moan for me for real.”
You gasp, and instantly regret it as Jesse uses it as an opportunity to kiss you. You're so surprised and confused and gods knows what else that all self control has left you. Jesse’s tongue slips between your lips, exploring your mouth.
Every instinct is shouting at you to push him away, wipe your mouth, get rid of him. This is against everything you have learnt. This is crossing every boundary you have ever set yourself. But you can’t deny it feels good… right. His hands start to slide up your body, leaving goosebumps in their wake. Your heart rate is doing double time for what feels like the one hundredth time today.
“You have no idea,” He says between kisses up and down your neck, gentle nips at the sensitive skin. “how long I have waited for this.
Your brain is in overdrive. You can’t make top or tail of anything and you can hardly breathe. “I thought you hated me.”
“You don’t know the half of it. You infuriate me. I’ve wanted you ever since Ryloth.” Jesse says, making short work of your tunic, letting it drop to the floor. The cold of the ship brings fresh goosebumps to your skin, making your nipples harden.
“You never said anything.”
Jesse rolls his eyes. “This is me saying something.” But his fingers stop at the edge of the burning blaster wound. “You need to get this seen to.”
You brush him away. “Doesn’t hurt.” You say, bringing his lips back up to yours.
His fingers are toying with the waistband of your thick battle leggings, still dirtied with the dust of Tunnack, eyes locked on yours. “If you want me to stop, just say.”
It occurs to you, just briefly, that you are possibly about to throw everything away for a man you thought had hated you for the past five years. But then you remember, he still does hate you. But he wants you. You want him. There are too many loud thoughts swirling around in your mind to make any sense of anything. The logical side of your brain is telling you this has to be some sort of trick, designed to get you expelled from the order and ruin your life. The other not so logical side, probably the side responsible for the dreams, is telling you that you want him, he wants you, what more do you need?
Your tongue is stuck to the roof of your mouth and you can’t find it within yourself to speak. So you just nod.
But Jesse tuts at you, “Ah, ah, ah,” with a shake of his head. “Need you to use your words cyar’ika.”
The “yes” that slips out of your mouth is small and wavering and nervous and everything that Jesse is not as he slips you out of your leggings. You inwardly curse the plain black undergarments you had chosen. But he does not seem to even notice as he slips you out of those too.
“There’s my good girl.” He smiles, going in to kiss the bare skin across your collarbones. Your knees are about the buckle beneath him and the next thing you know, Jesse’s armour is falling to the ground, until he’s pressing up against you, only his backs separating skin.
Jesse kisses you again and suddenly it’s like all the air inside your lungs is going stale and you can’t breathe because no matter how much you want him, you’ve only had sex once before and that was just a quickie in an alleyway on Coruscant. You never saw the boy again. But this is Jesse. Before it becomes evident that you happen to be mildly freaking out, your reign your feelings back in and as Jesse pulls away from you, you take the opportunity to heave some air into your lungs.
“Cyar’ika…” He stops, fingers caressing the bare skin of your stomach. “If it’s too much, we can stop.”
You shake your head.
“Words,” He says, eyebrows creasing in a small frown. “Use them.”
“No.” You say. “Don’t want to stop.” For a few seconds, he’s quiet and all you can hear is the hum of space travel, your heartbeat and his breathing. “I want you.”
His smirk turns into a feral grin as he steps back to shed his undersuit. And then there he is, standing before you, in all his battle hardened glory. Scars you have never seen decorate his brown skin. His hands are all over you, in places no one else, not even the boy from the alley, has touched. Your nipples have perked under his attention and you can feel yourself getting slicker than you ever have been.
His nimble fingers slip between your legs, swiping gently, mouth opening softly as he feels just how warm and wet you are. “All this for me, ad’ika jetti?”
You whimper softly as his thumb grazes your clit just barely, the simple touch sending shockwaves through your body. “Yes, Jesse,”
He slips a finger into you quick, feeling the warmth of your soft walls as they clench around him, he hum sin contentment and begins to pump his fingers in and out. “All this for me,” He repeats. “Must mean you’re all mine, wouldn't you agree?”
You nod, eyes squeezing shut as pleasure seeps within you.
“Open those eyes. Want to see my ad’ika jetti looking at me so she knows who is making her feel like this.”
Jesse’s other hand comes to wrap itself around your throat, squeezing just enough to make you lightheaded as the hand between your legs continues. You’re watching him, honeyed eyes meeting your own. The pleasure builds and builds, the pressure threatening to overfloor as it pushes low in your abdomen and you’re so sure you’re about to cum all over Jesse’s hand.
But then everything stops. You whine at the loss of contact and he laughs, a deep, chesty sound. “So desperate to come for me.” He laughs again. “I appreciate the effort, little girl.”
“Please Jess, please.”
“Don’t worry baby, you’re going to get everything you need.” He says, leading you over to the bed.
His touch returns to you, hands making quick work of your body like he already knows your most intimate thoughts. Had you accidentally, somehow, projected your dreams on to Jesse? Had your intense wanting connected you somehow? Had he woken up hot and needing like you had? Before you can ponder the questions any longer, he switches the motions of his fingers, now curling towards that sweet spot within you.
“Stars Jesse— Please, I need- Can I-?” You can barely get the fucking question out. “Can I cum, please Jesse?”
“Not yet, sweetheart.” He says, withdrawing again. You let out a frustrated groan as your hips buck for him, searching for his touch. He flips you over on the bed, knees and face pressed into the mattress. “Gonna be good for me, my baby? Gonna take my cock well?”
You whimper as you nod. “Yes, please.” You can feel the head of his cock nudging the opening of your cunt, and stars, you can barely breathe. He is about to give you everything you have ever wanted.
He eases into you and the sound that leaves your mouth would make even the most devoted Jedi blush. You can feel him pushing deeper and deeper, stretching you out and around him and it is divine. It is better than you could have ever dreamt of. Your blood is pulsing, humming through your veins, your body is shaking with the effort of keeping your orgasm at bay. His hands find your hair again, pulling you up until you’re arched against him. With this new angle, Jesse is hitting places you have never even felt before. It’s too much, everything is too much.
“Pretty girl crying for me?” He says, a thumb catching your tear.
You mumble an incoherent answer, eyes rolling back into your head. He’s pounding into you mercilessly, whispering praises into your ear. He has a hand wrapped around under your chin, the other arm reaching around your front and down to your clit, holding you up in an inferno of pleasure. His name is falling from your lips like a prayer and you’re confident that anyone that happens to be walking by your rooms right now knows exactly what’s going on behind the doors. But instead of that thought bringing you shame, it just brings you closer to the edge.
“Gonna come for me, pretty jedi? Gonna scream my name? Want everyone to know who’s making you feel like this, I want the whole fucking ship to feel it.” Your eyes are squeezing shut as Jesse picks up the pace, relentlessly slamming into you over and over again, his fingers still dancing over your clit, focusing all his intent on your release. When you finally let go, it’s with a cry of Jesse’s name, nails digging into his thighs.
Jesse is not far behind you, hips stuttering with his own orgasm, your name falling from his lips in a sinful moan. The two of you sit for a second, bathing in the glowing aftermath. Jesse eventually pulls himself out, laying you gently down on the bed.
“Back in a second,” He says, placing a kiss to your forehead. You watch as he disappears into the refresher, and you hear the medical cabinet open and close. Seconds later, he returns with a bacta patch. “You should still get Kix to look at this.” He says, as he places it over the wound on your side. “But for now, sleep.”

Angstember Prompt - Crying into somebody's chest
Pairings - Obi-Wan Kenobi & Reader, Anakin Skywalker & Reader (can be read as pre Anakin x Reader too!)
Despite having your own Master you still found yourself spending most of your time in the company of Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker. More often than not you accompanied Anakin to his lessons with Obi-Wan, whether it be lightsaber training or mediation.
The training a Padawan undertook was long and gruelling, days seemed to drag as you were taught the ways of the Jedi. Your Master was a cold man, he lacked the patience needed to train a Padawan which led to him snapping at you whenever you were made to train with him. Obi-Wan, however, was everything a Jedi Master should be, where you struggled to mediate, to shut your mind off to any and every outside distraction, your Master would snap and push you without proper guidance, Obi-Wan was the exact opposite. You still remembered the first time you’d mediated in front of him, how much you had struggled to do what came easily to most Jedi and you fully expected Obi-Wan to lose his temper with you, only to be shocked when he sat down in front of you and spoke, his words soft and gentle as he guided you and for the first time ever you felt yourself fall into that peaceful state easily.
From there you had been eager to learn under Obi-Wan’s guidance. Compared to Anakin you felt your training was far behind despite the fact the two of you had started training at the same age though you hadn’t met until a few years later when your Master’s had been sent on a mission together with the instruction to bring their Padawan’s along.
It was from that mission on you had become a permanent attachment to their duo, spending time with them even if it did take you a while to open up to them. The kindness they both showed you was such a stark contrast to how your Master treated you that you couldn’t help but stick with them.
Obi-Wan had wondered whether he should put a stop to how involved in their lives you were becoming. When you started joining Anakin’s lessons he had debated over what to do but Anakin seemed to like the challenge of a new opponent, one whose moves he couldn’t predict as well as he could his Master’s so Obi-Wan let you stay until he became as attached to you as he was his own Padawan. Watching as you grew in your training, how you seemed to thrive under his gentle guidance and encouraging words and sought out his advice on how you could improve made his heart warm and he knew that he wasn’t going to put a stop to you joining them.
Throughout the years Obi-Wan had tried to talk to you about your Master, about why you seemed behind in your training and more inclined to let Obi-Wan teach you. Each time you gave a vague answer, one that never answered his question before quickly changing the subject or darting off somewhere before he had the chance to ask you more questions.
Anakin had also asked you about your Master, never having heard much about him. Anakin could never imagine training under another Master when he had Obi-Wan and knew that something wasn’t right between you and yours but as you did with Obi-Wan you did with Anakin and did your best to avoid answering the question.
As the years went by and you got older your Master’s outbursts seemed to become more frequent and less justified. Some days he would yell at you when you weren’t training, when the Council sent you on missions together. You and your Master had never particularly gotten along well but the last couple of years had been worse than when you were a child.
You ignored it though, content to find comfort from Anakin and Obi-Wan, content to hide away with them when things became too much. You knew both men knew something was wrong but you had refused to talk about it and over time they didn’t ask as much as they used to, knowing full well you weren’t ready to talk about it yet.
One morning you found yourself in a training room, Obi-Wan walked around you and Anakin as you both duelled against the other. Years ago it was a challenge, neither one of you could predict the other's next move, the next step but now after years spent at each other’s side, being taught by the same Master it was easy to see four moves ahead.
That didn’t mean the two of you went easy on each other, if anything it meant the two of you were more cocky, riskier in the moves you made and by the time the doors to the training room opened the two of you had worked up at sweat, panting as you grinned at each other as Anakin managed to get you on the ground with his lightsaber pointed at you.
“Alright, that's quite enough you two.” Obi-Wan told you with a smile.
Anakin holstered the lightsaber and reached a hand down for you, your grin still firmly in place as you slipped your hand into his and let him pull you up.
“Don’t worry, Y/N/N, one of these days you’ll beat me.” Anakin told you, his entire face lit up as he threw an arm around your shoulder and pulled you into him.
“Please,” you scoffed, letting yourself enjoy the closeness before playfully pushing him away, “I was just going easy on you.”
“Padawan,” A cold voice from the doorway said, causing you to flinch slightly, an action that didn’t go unnoticed by Obi-Wan or Anakin. “We are being sent to aid the clones.”
You had to force your feet to move, to follow your Master out of the room, forced yourself to ignore the worry you felt coming from the two Jedi left behind in the training room. The air was tense as you followed him into the craft and even more so once you were up in the air and he turned his cold gaze towards you.
“Spending time with Kenobi and the Skywalker child again, Padawan?” He snarled and you barely suppressed a shiver.
This was the cause of many arguments and despite how much you dreaded your Master’s temper you would take any anger he directed your way so long as you could seek comfort from Obi-Wan and Anakin. You knew it wasn’t the fact you were so close to the two that angered your Master, though it certainly didn’t help matters, but it was an easy thing for him to target, an excuse for him to actually be angry at you.
You had no idea what you had done to cause so much hatred from your Master, since you were a child he had never had a nice word to say towards you. You remembered being so young, so upset that he seemed to hate you and tried so hard, did everything right, to get him to like you.
Nowadays you had accepted your Master’s anger, accepted you would never find the reason for it and stopped trying to please him, stopped seeking out his approval. You suspected Obi-Wan had a large part to play in your acceptance, the man was the complete opposite of your Master and where your Master shot you harsh words and hateful glares, Obi-Wan easily countered it with kind touches and soft words.
And then there was Anakin.
Anakin wasn’t foolish, he could see that you and your Master didn’t get on and though he had questioned but never pushed the matter, he had become an expert in reading you. He always seemed to know exactly when you needed him, was always there with a shoulder to cry on and distractions that often pulled the two of you into some kind of mischief that Obi-Wan never scolded you too much for because he too could see when things had gotten bad.
You loved being a Jedi, loved helping people and saving them but some days you wondered what would have become of you had you not met Obi-Wan and Anakin. Would you have stayed with the Jedi or would you have left the Order many moons ago? You believed you would have left, if you hadn’t had Obi-Wan and Anakin’s kindness to counteract your Master’s harshness. You truly didn’t think you could survive the years spent as a Padawan, not without the Dark Side spreading through you until you were consumed by it .
“Stupid girl wasting your time with those two, though I suppose I cannot expect much better from someone so foolish.” Your Master spoke, pulling you away from your thoughts and bringing your attention back to him.
You barely suppressed a sigh but knew if you let it escape you’d be done for. The words you could take but if he ever saw signs of you fighting back against him, even something as little as a sigh or squaring your shoulders back, you knew that the consequences would be bad.
It was a lesson you had learnt the hard way and your side still burned from where the Force lightning had been directed.
Instead you sat there, still as a statue and watched as one of the clones announced your Master was needed elsewhere. Once he had left the room you let yourself relax and looked towards the clone, Daar, and shot him a grateful look, smiling as he nodded back at you.
You were close to many of the troopers and knew that they saw how your Master treated you, he didn’t hide it around them, not when he could order them to stay silent and they couldn’t disobey him. A few had offered to though, they had come directly to you and told you they would gladly disobey orders if you asked them to. You had smiled at that but each time had told them to do as your Master said, no point the clones being punished when you could take what your Master gave.
The rest of the trip was blessedly silent, the clones coming up with a reason to keep your Master in another section of the craft and it wasn’t long before you were landing.
The entire mission was a mess, that was the only word for it. Your orders were to protect both the people and the Senator but your Master seemed to only hear the last part of those orders as he laid out his plan that willingly sacrificed the people of the planet to get the Senator away safely.
The people were starving, held captive by the droid army and from your position you could see many slaughtered innocents. You grimanced before turning back to your Master as he spoke, your eyes wide as you listened to him, he was not a kind man but this was extreme even for him. How he was a member of the Jedi order, a Jedi Master, was completely beyond you.
“We can’t let him do this.” You told Daar as your Master left the craft, lightsaber already out as he and some clones fought droids in order to make it to the palace.
“What do you suggest we do instead?” Daar asked and all the remaining clones turned towards you, each of them waiting for orders from somebody who did not have the authority to give them but all of them willing to follow them no matter what.
You stood silently for a moment, shocked at how the troopers didn’t hesitate to turn to you, to let you give the orders but then a smile broke out on your face and you nodded. Nothing good would come from this for you, you would be punished both by the Council and privately by your Master but you refused to just let the people of this city die for no reason, not when you could save them.
“Out here we only have the droid army in our way, let Master deal with whatever member of the Empire is holding the Senator captive. You think we can get the people out?” You asked Daar and he shot you a grin as he nodded.
“Course we can, right boys?” He asked and the troopers gave a cheer causing your smile to widen.
From outside the craft you could see your Master had made progress with the droid blocking the entrance to the palace, his gaze turning back towards you and calling for more clones.
With a final glance at all the troopers, your gaze landed on Daar who gave you a softer smile and nodded causing you to nod back. The troopers put their helmets on and you all left the craft, you spared a final glance back as you all made your way in the opposite direction to see your Master’s furious glare towards you.
The droids seemed to multiply, for everyone you took down five more appeared. The troopers were fairing no better and there were a number of casualties but eventually you fought your way to where the citizens were being held. It took some effort to free them as droids fought back and you had to deal with your Master yelling every hateful word and threat he could think of through the comms but eventually the droids were down and stopped coming and you ushered the people towards your ships.
Your Master and the Senator, as well as the people who had been trapped in the palace with him, all stood around the crafts and you ignored your Master as you passed him, thankful when Daar put himself between the two of you so he couldn’t grab you and began handing out the food rations you had brought with you.
You tried to drag it out for as long as possible but eventually you had to leave. Boarding the ship, your heart was in your throat and anxiety pulsed through your veins, you waited for your Master to dole out whatever punishment he saw fit but it never came and that only made you more scared.
Daar noticed your anxiety and sat down next to you ignoring the glare your Master sent towards the two of you and patted you knee gently.
“You did go out there today.” He told you, the words quiet but the genuineness of them was clear and you couldn’t help the smile that pulled at your lips.
“Thank you,” you said, keeping your voice just as quiet, “I’m just glad we were able to save everybody.”
The trip back to Coruscant didn’t take too long, something you both hated and were grateful for. You weren’t foolish enough to believe you could slip away before your Master got a hold of you, knew what was to come but still once the ship landed you tried to leave as quickly as possible.
“Not so fast, Padawan.” Your Master snarled, his hand reaching over to wrap around your bicep, grip so tightly you winced and knew bruises would form but they would be the least of your worries after he was done with you.
You could see the troopers behind him, could see Daar take a step forward but you shook your head as discreetly as you could, watching him step back reluctantly.
“Come with me.” The tone of the man’s voice was low and harsh as he dragged you away from onlookers.
It wouldn’t be long until you were called before the Jedi Council, your Master had already given the briefing through holocomm, but it was enough time for him to pull you into his quarters, far away from any witnesses and leave you crying out, withering on the floor as you felt the lightning produced by the Force spreading and burning your body, sweat pouring from you as you tried to fight against it but it was useless as you were pinned down by the Force.
Your Master gave you enough time to go to your chambers to clean up, tears and sobs leaving you as you tried to pull burnt fabric from the burns and covered it in as much bacta salve as you could.
You cupped water into your hands before splashing it across your face, desperate to hide evidence of what had happened. Despite it though you didn’t regret your actions, so many people were alive because of you and you would gladly go through that a thousand times if it meant they were safe.
Your Master showed up at your door and grabbed your arm again, dragging you down to where the Council members were gathered. He stopped abruptly outside the door and pressed his hand into where he had burned causing you to wince and bite back a sob.
“If you know what’s good for you you’ll keep your mouth shut.” He warned before standing up tall, a friendly look spreading across his face as he entered the room and greeted the members of the Council, you following behind and keeping your gaze down.
As you stood there you had to fight down protests, felt the anger rise in you as your Master painted a picture completely different to what had happened. As he told them his plan was to save the Senator before helping the citizens but you had jeopardised the entire mission as well as the lives of all the innocent people and the Senator’s to prove yourself.
The pain in your side made it unbearable to stand but the hatred you felt in your veins, a deep anger you had never felt before made it hard to keep your mouth shut. How dare he, how dare he say you needed to prove yourself! It had never been about that, you only wanted to help people, you didn’t care if the Jedi Council took notice of your actions so long as the people who needed your aid were safe.
Once he was finished you finally looked up and came face to face with a sea of disappointed looks. The only person who didn’t look disappointed was Obi-Wan, instead he had a small furrow in between his brows as he looked between Master and Padawan, seeing something the others weren’t.
“A common occurrence, this is becoming.” Master Yoda said and your jaw clenched under the effort to stay silent. Of course the Council member’s thought you disobeying orders was a regular thing because no matter what you did your Master always, always, found a way to make it seem so.
You managed to keep quiet, staring straight ahead, knowing that any attempt to counter your Master’s story would only end badly for you. The burning pains in your sides only reminded you of that, reminded you of what your Master was capable of.
“To add, have you anything?” Master Yoda asked you and it took every ounce of strength you had to not fall to your knees before the Council and beg with them to help you, to protest your Master’s fabrications, to show them what he did to you but you knew it would amount to nothing, your Master had taught you that long ago that Master’s could give out whatever punishment they saw fit.
As you shook your head you felt your anger spike again, though it seemed impossible that it could do so. From your side you could practically feel your Master’s smugness coming from him in waves.
The room stayed silent for a moment and you took the opportunity to look at Obi-Wan, his eyes already looking back at you. You watched as the man’s face softened though you could practically see how fast his thoughts were running as he knew something was wrong.
Obi-Wan had known for a long time something was not right. For years you had been by his side, he had watched you grow from a small, shy little thing into the young woman you were now. He had trained you, had brought you onto his missions with Anakin and watched you thrive under his guidance. He rarely got the chance to see you with your Master but the times he did, especially now, the person you were around him was not the person Obi-Wan knew.
“Archive security, you shall do.” Master Yoda announced and Obi-Wan barely suppressed a sigh at Yoda’s choice of punishment, you weren’t going to like this at all.
“Archive security?” You repeated, the words coming out of your mouth without your permission. Your tone was complete disbelief as you stared at the Council member’s, watching as Obi-Wan rubbed at his forehead.
“A problem, you have with this?” Master Yoda asked and yes, yes you did have a problem with this because even though it got you out of missions with your Master it also meant it got you out of missions with Obi-Wan and Anakin and left you behind, alone with your Master.
You were desperate for that not to happen, you couldn’t cope with being around your Master anymore than you had to be. You knew it was a bad idea to argue with the Council, to do something else to anger your Master but still your mouth opened, words ready to fall when Obi-Wan cut you off, probably saving you from a worse punishment.
“Y/N.” He warned, his tone soft and gentle as you turned to look at him.
Obi-Wan shook his head and you silently pleaded with him but knew that even he couldn’t do anything to get you out of this. He had no proof beyond his own doubts and unfortunately that wasn’t solid evidence.
Oh stars, he thought to himself as he looked at your wide eyes, why won’t she just tell me what’s happening so I can help?
“No problem, Master Yoda, forgive my outburst.” You apologised robotically, hands clenched at your sides as you listened to Master Yoda dismiss you.
You bowed towards them, side burning at the movement and you barely choked back a sob at the pain but made your way out of the room.
You stood outside the Council doors, cursing the face that you were forced to remain here, alone without the two people you cared most for, the two people who made your Master’s actions easier to deal with. You longed to tell them about the burns covering your body but Master’s could do as they saw fit to punish their Padawan and you knew they would only turn you away.
“Y/N,” Obi-Wan called softly as he slipped from the room.
Your head shot up to look at the man and you couldn’t help but let your thoughts run. Obi-Wan wouldn’t turn you away, right? In all the time you’d known him you had never seen him harm Anakin, no matter how badly his Padawan messed up. Perhaps if you told him, maybe he wouldn’t disagree with your Master’s way of dealing with you but maybe would help you patch yourself up.
Obi-Wan gave you a kind smile as he gestured for you to walk with him, each step sending a new wave of pain through your body.
“What really happened out there?” He asked softly as the two of you walked side by side.
You stayed silent for the longest time, thoughts running wild as you debated whether to tell Obi-Wan what was happening. You trusted Obi-Wan more than anybody, knew his kindness better than most and by the time the two of you arrived at his quarters you still hadn’t made a decision.
Obi-Wan let you remain silent, he could see the thoughts in your head, could see the frown on your face as you battled over what you could tell him. He could see the exhaustion coming from you, could see your anger and how you were ready to let it out. He hoped he could help, hoped you would finally tell him what happened behind closed doors.
The man let you through the doors first before following after you and gesturing you over to the sofa, raising his eyebrow as you grimanced whilst sitting.
“I wish you had been my Master.” You finally spoke after a long period of silence, the words so quiet Obi-Wan would have missed them if he wasn’t sitting so close to you.
“As do I, young one.” He told you, taking your hand in yours and giving it a gentle, encouraging squeeze.
At his words, your eyes filled with tears, the exhaustion and pain and anger you felt all became too much suddenly as the tears fell down your cheeks one after the other, your breaths coming out as shaky sobs.
Obi-Wan’s own eyes widened at the sudden onset of tears but he didn’t hesitate to comfort you. He pulled you softly against his chest and you willingly went, hand gripping his cloak as he held the back of your head, running his fingers soothingly through your hair.
The tears refused to slow and you stayed buried against Obi-Wan’s chest for a long time, the man's arms around you, holding you in place as he murmured gentle words of comfort, not rushing you to calm down but allowing you to work through it.
He could tell you had been holding onto these emotions for a long time, the tears coming from you ached his heart and he wanted nothing more than to wrap you up and keep you far away from your Master who was no doubt the cause of all of this.
He didn’t let his own anger show, didn’t want you to think he was upset with you at all. It was rare for Obi-Wan to feel such anger, he liked to think by now he had a pretty good grip on his emotions but listening to you, your tears soaking his robes as you sobbed into his chest, he couldn’t feel much but anger.
At some point the tears subsided into sniffles, your eyes red and blood stained after crying for so long. Obi-Wan felt your breathing even out and thought you had fallen asleep, especially as you cuddled further into his chest but then you began speaking.
“I only wanted to save them.” You told Obi-Wan, your voice croaky from sobbing uncontrollably but also emotionless, “He was going to let them all die and I wanted to save them.”
“I believe you.” Obi-Wan told you and the honesty in his voice had you letting out a shaky breath.
“He punishes me,” You said, eyes falling closed as you forced yourself to keep talking, “it doesn’t matter what I do, he always finds a reason to punish me. Some days he doesn’t even need a reason.”
Obi-Wan’s own eyes fell closed as he dreaded your next words but asked anyway.
“How does he punish you, young one?”
You were silent again and Obi-Wan, despite not wanting to hear the answer, needed to. He needed to know so he knew exactly how bad things had got, so he knew just how to help you.
“He uses the Force, uses lightning.” You said, the words bringing on a fresh set of tears but you kept them trapped behind your eyelids, pushing your face further into Obi-Wan’s chest.
Obi-Wan felt his heart stop at your answer, his blood running cold as mental images filled his head of you being burned with Force lightning. How had he never noticed? His grip tightened on you, his arms holding you closer but at your wince he pulled away like he himself had been burned.
“Y/N,” He said, the word so soft as he looked at you. You didn’t let him say anything else, you’d come this far you might as well go further and with that you pulled your cloak away and lifted your shirt enough for Obi-Wan to see the fresh burns as well as the old ones.
Obi-Wan gasped, his hand moving to touch the fresh one before pausing. There was fabric that seemed to have melted into your skin and he winced as he continued to stare. He had seen a lot of injuries in his lifetime but that had to be up there with some of the worst.
“Y/N,” He breathed out, his gaze shifting from your burns to your face, silent tears making their way down as you let your shirt cover them again.
Obi-Wan reached over to wipe at your cheeks, moving towards you and placing his lips to your forehead, letting them linger there before he pulled away.
“We have to inform the Council.” He told you softly and you looked at him, shaking your head but he cut you off before you could speak. “Y/N, he cannot be allowed to stay, what he has done to you is-” Obi-Wan cut himself off, not having the words to describe the pain inflicted onto you.
“Master’s can punish Padawan’s however they want.” You told them, the words were void of emotion and almost robotic, like you were repeating words you’d been told for years and Obi-Wan didn’t doubt that.
“No they cannot.” He told you, voice firm and you looked at him with wide eyes. “How many times has Anakin messed up since being my Padawan? I’ve lost count and I have never inflicted pain upon him. He gets a scolding and if the Council sees a harsher punishment is needed they will see to it but never would it be something that would harm the Padawan.”
The words made your eyes water even more as you felt foolish, of course you should have known that.
“Don’t be so harsh on yourself, he made you believe something for a very long time. He manipulated you into keeping this pain a secret. You are not to blame, I promise you the Council will see that too.” Obi-Wan told you and you nodded, tears sliding down your face again and you wrapped your arms around him and cuddled into his chest again.
Obi-Wan held you close whilst making sure he wasn’t hurting you and swore he would see to it that your Master was dealt with.
Anakin walked into his Master’s chambers after roaming the Temple looking for you after hearing about what had happened on your latest mission and stopped just inside the doorway as he took in the scene of you sobbing into Obi-Wan’s chest.
You hadn’t heard Anakin enter the room but Obi-Wan did and he glanced up at Anakin with a sad smile as he held you. He was glad Anakin was here, he wanted to keep you out of this meeting though he knew the Council would want to speak to you, he wondered if perhaps any of the clones had seen anything and would be willing to speak up about it.
He gestured for Anakin to come closer and you jumped when you felt Anakin sit beside you, relaxing when you saw it was him.
“I know archive security is boring but that’s a lot of tears.” Anakin said softly and you couldn’t stop the choked laugh that escaped you causing the two men to smile.
“I have to speak with the Council,” Obi-Wan told the two of you and you turned to look at him with fear shining in your eyes. From behind you he could see Anakin’s questioning look but just shook his head. “If you want to be there whilst I tell them you can be but it’s completely your decision.”
“I’ll stay with Anakin.” You told him softly, sniffing as you rubbed at your eyes. “You can tell him.” You allowed, gesturing to Anakin as you leaned back into Obi-Wan, even more exhausted than you had been before.
You listened as Obi-Wan filled Anakin in on what he had missed, listening with a small smile as Anakin fumed on your behalf, threatening to go and deal with your Master himself but Obi-Wan assured him it would be dealt with and that his only job was to look after you whilst he spoke to the Council.
That seemed to calm Anakin down and he nodded, sitting back down next to you and letting Obi-Wan transfer you from his arms to Anakin’s, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead before he stood and readjusted his cloak.
“You know where I’ll be if you need me.” Obi-Wan said before he turned to leave the room.
Anakin looked down at you as you lay on his chest and smiled softly. He wished Obi-Wan would allow him to deal with your Master but knew you needed him more.
“Come on.” Anakin said, nudging you up softly being mindful of the injuries Obi-Wan had told him about. He knew sitting on the sofa wouldn’t help your wounds and instead stood, smiling at the soft whine of protest that came from you before you took his offered hand and let him lead you over to the bed.
You had to admit it felt much better to be laying down and as Anakin pulled you back into his arms you couldn’t help but relax, feeling better than you had in a long while. It seemed bizarre that Obi-Wan was going to talk to the Council about this, that it wasn’t normal and the Council were going to have something to say about it.
It almost felt like a dream, like you’d wake up with your Master standing over you with a smirk on his face.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N.” Anakin whispered as he pressed a kiss to your hair and you smiled, hand holding the fabric of his shirt and cuddling further into him.
“You didn’t know.” You whispered back, eyes heavy as they fell closed and you couldn’t find the strength to open them again.
“Nobody will ever hurt you again, I promise.” You were certain that was a promise Anakin couldn’t keep, no matter how hard he tried but you appreciated it all the same.
Cuddled up in Anakin’s arms, in Obi-Wan’s moments before, felt safe. It was as safe as you had felt for a long time and knowing that the two of them cared so much about you, that they were willing to speak up for you and, in Anakin’s face, threaten the man who had caused you so much harm, had you believing that things would be ok. Once your Master was gone and you had only the two of them you truly believed that, in time, you would be ok.
