Also in this lot was a Hasbro Sweetie Pups Collie. The seller didn't disclose most of this dirt and mold, the mouse nest in Collie's hair

or the overwhelmingly moldy smell on these ponies (and pup).

I couldn't get the smell off completely, but they are all clean and sanitized, now, and smell better than before if still a bit stinky.

These went home in Feb of 2024.

I had the chance to do 2 garage sales this week! Those are my finds:

First one:

Sylvanians! The squirrel family is missing the dad! I only got his trousers!!! Wherever he is, the poor dear must be a little bit embarassed without it! (*ﾉ▽ﾉ) (and the daughter is naked, it’s even worse! X’D) I already have them all but the tuxedo cats have slightly different outfits than mine! The Jasmine is a fake but for the price I don’t care and she is pretty ^^ I sold almost all my Sweetie Pups a few years ago to other toy collectors, so I am always happy to find one I can keep now (and the york is my favourite, so yeah!)

Second one:

Only dolls! I am happy about Raya because I didn’t buy her last time I went to Disney. The Jojo was a surprise, since she is mostly unknown in my country and her dolls aren’t available here. ┐(‘～` )┌ The Crystal Barbie dress was hard to get, the person selling it wanted it for a price to high with an ugly doll, but I managed to change their mind and to sell me only the dress ^^

The Easter basket of #mailcall has been revealed! Okay, maybe not an Easter basket, but the box was colorful like one! 🐥 Lots of you have good eyes and quickly sussed out that these were Sweetie Pups, Sweetie Kitties, and Little Pretties! I had the Cocker Spaniel Sweetie Pup as a kid, and I’ve always been interested in the technicolored pups as an adult! So when I saw a sale that was almost all pups and kitties, I went crazy! 🤣 I included a picture of their paws, because it looks like a lot of them may have from the same childhood collection! 🥺 Don’t worry G, I’ll take good care of them! 💖 So if you’re curious, I’ve tried to include some IDs from the Ghost of the Doll site, so from the top, we have: Party Time Cocker Spaniel, Little Pretties Polished Paws Bow, Polished Paws Dixie, Sweetie Kitty Persian? (I’m not 100% on her!), Little Pretty Flutterina, Party Time Bearded Collie, Party Time Schnauzer, and Party Time Maltese! Phew!! This was an amazing box to open, and hopefully soon I’ll have some cleaned-up photos to share! 💖

Hasbro's Sweetie Pups: Who were they?

A very complete guide about these toys.

The most brushably beautiful pets of all!

Sweetie Pups and Sweetie Kitties were produced by Hasbro from 1989-91. There were two distinct lines of the Pups and Kitties; the original line, which was quite realistic, and the Party Time line which used a bright rainbow of colours. There was also series of Baby Pups and two playsets released. ☆☆☆

☆ SERIES I

There were eleven Sweetie Pups in the first series, each one a different breed of dog. Each one came with an award ribbon shaped hairclip, ribbon and either a comb or brush which were produced in a variety of colours. Eight were 5 inches high and three were 8 inches high.

These eight Sweetie Pups were all 5 inches high:

☆Bearded Collie [tan & white]

☆Bichon Frise [white]

☆Cocker Spaniel [golden yellow]

☆Maltese [White]

☆Schnauzer [gray]

☆Shih Tzu [black & white]

☆Toy Poodle [cream]

☆Yorkshire Terrier [black & tan]

These three Sweetie Pups were all 8 inches high:

☆Afghan [blond & brown]

☆Collie [white, tan & brown]

☆Old English Sheepdog [black & white]

☆ SERIES II

There were eleven Sweetie Pups released in the second series, with eight new breeds added.

Each puppy came with a rosette shaped hairclip, ribbon and either a comb or brush as before. The hairclip and comb were the same as the first series, but the brush was a new design.

*Besides the images, people report never seeing these last two new models (St Bernard and Samoyed), making most of us believe they were discontinued before being sold.

New Episode Info!

We've got some new episodes premiering within the following weeks. Both episodes will air on Nickelodeon in the USA. However, they seem to be doing things a bit differently this time, as each segment will air on separate days.

"Mighty Pups vs. the Big Chill" will air on Monday, November 6, 2023, while "Mighty Pups vs. the Mighty Cheetah" will air the following day, on Tuesday, November 7. Both will air together normally on Friday the same week (early in the morning, no less).

"Mighty Pups Stop the Mighty Queen" will air Monday, November 13, while "Mighty Pups Stop the Hiccups" will air Tuesday, November 14. Again, they should air together normally on Friday.

I noticed fans were quite pleased with "Mayor of the Universe", so here's hoping everyone enjoys these Mighty Pups episodes, too!

Which one of the twins seems older…and more annoying

Just as a matter of course, I would like to believe that Conner is the older of the two but Eric is the more annoying one. True, Conner can from one point in canon to another present as incredibly dickish and a tiny bit misogynistic (until he gets dunked on by Kira and Hayley...and Cassidy, I suppose) but he is also fcking TRYING to be part of a team that has a mentor that is also his actual in real life teacher. Eric feels as if he's one of those kids in a group of friends that needs to hold hands with someone or he wanders off, or who might have to be told repeatedly not to swallow gum because that's not what it's for, or can be a little inappropriate in poking someone without having a reason. He is a good boy, but comes off as irritating a lot of the time with people who haven't claimed him as a love nugget.
