It's (belated) Six Sentence Sunday and I have stuff written!!! First off, an extract from the 'Tory is a Barnes AU' - we're at Mike's POV and his complicated feelings on the fact that the kid who hurt Elaine is his niece...

But his children wanted to help. Elaine refused to press charges, and they wanted to get her away from the toxic dojo, and Mike remembered another teenager, long ago, angry and embittered at the world without a healthy way to vent that, who’d fallen right into Cobra Kai’s trap—

He still wanted to throw the book at Tory Nichols. He also couldn’t stand by and let her be further corrupted by Cobra Kai, snatched up by Kreese for whatever scheme he’d be planning. What had happened might shock her out of things for a while – cheating boyfriend or not, she must’ve loved that kid at some point, and being one of the reasons things had escalated while she tried to maim LaRusso’s kid would be deeply affecting her…

Yet if Kreese got hold of her, how long before she was convinced that she was the victim here?

How long before she was persuaded to try again?

I've also been working on 'Aquafam AU Part 1' recently!!!! This part takes place after the shipwreck incident, and Arthur is trying to get Orm to talk to him - which takes a little while, but they will get there.

“You know nothing about what’s going on, brother.”

“Yeah, because you’re not telling me.” He pointed out. “Look, Orm, I could probably take a guess about what’s going on, but I’d sooner hear it from you.”

“Do you?” Orm’s voice had taken on a challenging tone. “Do you really want to know, Arthur? To know what fa- what Orvax did?”

I knew it, he thought grimly.

“Better than you feeling guilt over something he did.”

“You don’t know it was him.”

That was true – Arthur might even be inclined to believe that this was about something he’d done in the past if it wasn’t for the fact that Orm was clearly trying to provoke a fight, was trying to get him to accuse Orm of something he hadn’t done.

Also by the way, both of these fics will be multichaps - not very long ones, but about three or four chapters each.

And, of course, we have the (Malcolm) Thawne amnesia fic which I started this week!!!! This one will take a little while, especially as I'm going to be rewatching The Flash soon and that'll take up time, but here's a snippet from it - specifically the opening scene, in which an unconcious Malcolm is dealing with blurry and jumbled memories (which he won't work out are memories for some time).

The scene feels like it should be familiar - an underground bunker, spacious, pipes everywhere, a smell of ozone in the air…

Everything is tinged blue. The ozone shouldn’t be here and neither should the lightning, red and yellow speeding past and speeding past and clashing, clashing, clashing, and there are voices yelling in shock and panic because this wasn’t the plan, this wasn’t the goddamn plan—

He can’t make out any of the figures properly - it’s like looking at something underwater – but he knows, instinctively, that the red lightning is a very bad sign, a kind of terror unfolding within him as he watches it, and the yellow lightning is…hope. Is good. But it’s losing, he can tell it’s losing—

The red lightning is surrounding it. This can’t be happening and he can’t just stand here, and he exchanges a look with someone, who is staring wide-eyed and with that familiar look of guilt on his face—

He doesn’t remember his name. He’s known him almost all his life. He doesn’t remember his name.
