Hmmm, I’m often told that I‘m “easygoing” and do things at my own pace”~? ‘Cause I don’t worry about the details and just do what I want~ Q2. What’s something you often say? A2. Nyahaha, nothing really comes to mind~? I feel maybe I’m often saying “I’ll sue you~” a lot, but that might just come from my American upbringing~? Q3. Tell me your favorite motto! A3. “Tomorrow will take care of itself”~.[1] Rather than worrying about the future, I let what happens happen and deal with things as they come~♪ Q4. What's your latest craze? A4. I’ve started studying composition lately~. I started out with making a simple song that I can sing while playing the guitar, and I’d like to be able to show it off it somewhere eventually~♪ Q5. Q1. In one word, how would you describe your personality? A1. Hmm, perhaps it would be “bother-free”.[2] I can typically resolve things if I use my head, but it gets bothersome to spend effort on things of negligible importance. Q2. What’s something you often say? A2. “What a bother”. —Ahh, I’m not saying that this is a bothersome question to answer, just that it is likely something I often say. Q3. Tell me your favorite motto! A3. “Be self-reliant”… Maybe. It is troublesome to rely on others. I wish to think for myself and act accordingly to my own beliefs. Q4. What's your latest craze? A4.  There’s been a craze for developing new community tools recently. Set phrases like “So true” and “You know it”... They are fixed phrases anyone can use to communicate with each other. Q5. What was your first impression of Nice? A5. In one word, it would be “flashy”, perhaps. I was a little surprised when we first met, since he kept on talking without any consideration of me. Q6. What do you keep in mind when choosing personal clothing? A6. I select them based on functionality and fabric durability. And for the design as simple and unobtrusive as possible, so as to avoid attracting any attention. Q7. How would you like to spend long vacations (like summer vacation)? A7. I would like to immerse myself in research. I have an idea that I have been building for quite a long time, so I would like to give it a form and create a new invention. The nature of this invention is still a secret. Q8. What are you enthusiastic about for 4piece? A8. I am still an ignorant, inexperienced child. I hope that through 4piece, I will be able to thoroughly determine the path I am to take as an idol, and achieve results that exceed expectations. Q9. Any message for our readers? A9. Q1. In one word, how would you describe your personality? A1. Yume’s personality is difficult to express in one word. “Cute”, “devoted”, “kind”, “dedicated”… No matter how hard Yume thinks, Yume can’t pick just one…♪ Q2. What’s something you often say? A2. Yume doesn’t particularly have any catchphrases. If anyone notices Yume has a catchphrase, could you please let Yume know? Q3. Tell me your favorite motto! A3. Yume’s favorite motto is “have both the looks and the substance”… Yume wishes to become someone who not only appears outstanding, but is outstanding on the inside too. There are still things that are difficult for Yume, but Yume is doing Yume’s best♪ Q4. What's your latest craze? A4. Yume’s been super into the anime that is dominating this season. The heroine’s outfit is so cute, so Yume’s currently going around lots of craft stores so Yume can make a cosplay that recreates it perfectly. Q5. What was your first impression of Nice? A5. Yume uses trial and error to find a match for Yume’s personal style and body type. All the clothes Yume wears were made by Yume, so they are custom made and the only to exist in the world! Q7. What’s something you often say? A2. I’m told a lot that the stuff I say, or more like, the way I speak is a lil’ strange... But, but, I’ve always thought it was normal, huh~ huuuh~...? Q3. Tell me your favorite motto! A3. What my favorite motto is? Hmmm, I’ll go with “stealin’ is bad”! ‘Cuz I was told off about it a lot at the facility, and was told to memorize it by writin’ it over on paper. Q4. What's your latest craze? A4. Eheehee, I’ve been real into “pizza-manjuu”, which I learned about recently! The fluffy dough and the gooey cheese that comes out from the bun makes me feel happy...♪ Q5. What was your first impression of Nice? A5. Hmmm, my first impression… I’m sorry, I’m a birdbrain so I don’t remember much of anythin’…! Q1. In one word, how would you describe your personality? A1. “Sociable”, I’d say. I feel the dialogue you have with someone in conversation is important; it allows for the possibility to get an idea of what their personality is and what it is they keep to themselves. Q2. What’s something you often say? A2. Of course, it would have to be “Nice”! Hehe, quite a nice catchphrase, isn’t it? Q3. Tell me your favorite motto! A3. “Never lose infinite hope”.[3] No matter what hardship you may face, if you give up there, nothing will remain. I wish to cherish the “hope” that is within me. Q4. What's your latest craze? A4. Hm, lately, or rather for the past couple years, my craze has been rice curry! A balance of spices, with a little secret ingredient… Just a little ingenuity reveals the chef’s thinking. Sometimes I cook it for myself, too♪ Q5. What do you expect from these five idols? A5. These are promising new faces I’ve encountered in all sorts of places! I invited them to participate in 4piece because of something nice and sparkly I saw within them, and I greatly look forward to seeing what kind of brilliance they will show us! Q6. Unfortunately, I haven’t taken a long vacation for quite a while… I suppose it would be nice to watch a live as an ordinary fan once in a while. Translation Notes:

This saying in Japanese is "明日()は明日()の風()が吹()く", "tomorrow, the winds of tomorrow will blow", which includes a kanji from his first name, 維吹 (Ibuki).

The word he uses here is 面倒くさがり, which more accurately means "someone who tends to find things bothersome", but I tried to make it into a single word to fit with the question prompt.

y/n and wonyoung were on their way to their school's campus for the dance event. it was a bit awkward since the two never spoke in person before, but wonyoung tried her best to keep a conversation the whole time.

"are you sure they'll be okay with modeling for me?" y/n nods, feeling a sense of nervousness in wonyoung's voice. "i think you'll be fine. a few of them have experience in modeling..." she smiles at y/n's reassurance. "thank you, y/n."

"of course!"

once they'd arrived, riki had immediately taken notice of the two girls, surprised that she was here with someone new. the girls looked around in hoping to spot someone they knew, but riki was already making their way to them.

"hi,"

"hi," the girls say in unison. "uhh so what do you need me to get started on?" y/n asks, feeling extremely awkward with riki's presence.

it didn't make much sense to her as to why he would talk to her out of the blue and ask for her help when he passed every opportunity he had before.

"umm can you help me and taki with the lights? if it's not too hard,"

"that's fine. can wonyoung help too?" riki hums.

wonyoung finishes her job, excusing herself to go to the bathroom, leaving y/n with riki and taki.

y/n smiles at wonyoung and goes back to setting up the lights. riki stops and looks at her, seeing her focused on finishing up, he's unsure of whether he should say something.

taki cringes at riki, quickly finishing up and leaving to go help jongseob and soul.

riki bites his lip, sending a glare at taki's way for leaving them alone before finishing up himself.

"i'm done.. is there anything else for me to do?" riki looks around, "umm i'm not sure. i think everything else is already being taken care of. the lights were the main thing." she nods, "are you leaving now?"

"i can't, wonyoung needs to scout people for her magazine. that's why i invited her to come."

it was about 7pm, wonyoung and y/n were sitting on the bleachers, listening to the dance team talk to the audience.

"did something happen with you and riki? it's so awkward with you both..." y/n shrugs, not really sure how to answer. "i don't know,, i liked him for a while but he never liked me back... and he was awfully mean about it too so eventually i realized it's better for me to move on, but for some reason he chose to text me for help on this event."

"and you moved on?" y/n hesitates, but she hums after a few seconds. "he must've developed feelings for you because he missed your attention, then."

"that's not true."

"mhmm.... you keep telling yourself that." y/n playfully smacks wonyoung's arm. "whatever! let's talk about you... i see you got along well with jungwon today." she playfully winks, resulting in a smack by wonyoung as well.

Hmm I don’t think so, she still makes new doujins and seems enthusiastic about releasing new volumes. I don’t imagine the magazine would refuse new chapters! Though I don’t know how they do their scheduling.

I can understand the feeling of being excited about one’s new works more than the one she’s being doing for twenty years, but Klaus and Taki are still her flagship characters and always will be. I just don’t think she feels urgent about it🤣

Mystic Hymn of Sant Tulsi Sahib: Dil ka Hujra Saf Kar - Light and Sound on The Path

Sant Tulsi Sahib of Hathras had some Sufi or Muslim disciples. Sometimes he composed hymns for them, the most well-known of these being a hymn addressing Sheikh Taqi. The one below seems to be in this category. It was published in Ajaib’s Grace magazine, May-June 2003.

Dil ka hujra (1) saf kar, jana ke ane ke liye,

Dhyan gairo ka utha uske bithane ke liye.

Translation:

Cleanse the chamber of your heart, so that the Beloved may enter,

Remove all the foreign impressions, so that He can take His seat there.

Verse:

Chashme dil se dekh yaha jo jo tamashe ho rahe,

Dilsita kya kya hai tere dil satane ke liye.

Translation:

See with the heart's eye the astonishing spectacle of this world,

Oh heart -- ravishing scenes appear there to entice you.

Ek dil lakho tamnna us pai aur zyada havis,

Phir thikana hai kaha uske tikane ke liye?

One heart, with many desires, and always the lust for more,

Where is there any place for the Lord to come and reside?

Nakali mandir masjido me jae sade aphosa hai,

Kudarati masjid ka sakin dukh uthone ke liye.

It is a great pity that, going in the false [imitation] temples and mosques,

The indweller of the true mosque [the human body] is made to suffer.

Kudarati kabe ki tu maharab me sun gaur se,

The Sound is coming from the Court of the Lord and is calling you.

Why are you wandering around lost in search of the Beloved?

The way to reach the charming one lies through the shah rag (3)

Murshade kamil se mil sidak aur saburi se taki.

Jo tujhe dega faham shah rag ke pane ke liye.

O devotee, meet the Perfect Master with sincerity and patience.

He will give you the secret to find the shah rag.

Goshe batin ho kushada jo kare kuch din amal.

La ilaha allahu akbar pai jane ke liye.

If you do the practice for a few days, the inner way will open before you.

It is the path to reach Allah, the One God, the Most High.

Yah sada Tulsi ki hai amil amal kar dhyan de.

This is the call of Tulsi: O practitioner, do the practice with concentration.

The kun [Shabd] described in the Koran, will take you to Allah, the Most High.

(2) The Kaaba is the most holy place of Muslim pilgrimage in Mecca and the maharab or prayer niche indicates the direction facing the Kaaba in a mosque. The maharab or prayer niche of the true Kaaba is the third eye on the human forehead above and between the two eyes, alternatively called the Shiv netra or tisra til.

(3) The shah rag or "royal vein" is the central, subtle vein on the forehead that leads to Trikuti. It is also called sukhman nari.

Okay, kids, Kamala was a joke, a punch line, but suddenly she isn’t, and by a long shot to boot. We no longer have an old stuttering gaga making a fool of himself in the White House, but a new Jeanne d’Arc, defender of America, capitalism, socialism, blacks, Jews, Eskimos, even Palestinians. It’s the latter’s mention by Kamala in her acceptance speech that caught my ear, as I didn’t watch any of the ludicrous, megalomaniacal, boastful, and basically dishonest goings-on in Chicago. I’ve until now thought Kamala a total phony, but the P-word she uttered got my attention. I only hope she meant it. Kamala is big on equity, claiming in a year-old speech that whites start out on first base, even on third base, whereas blacks have to begin at home. Her vague gestures to specific problems show her to be an empty vessel, but the P-word had me listening.

Sticking up for the deracinated Palestinians is not a great vote-getter in America. But as I’ve written so many times before in these here pages, I’ve been to Jordan and the West Bank and have witnessed firsthand the deprivations and daily humiliations the average Palestinian endures by the all-conquering Israelis. Gaza is another hell altogether, indescribable in its horror while Israel is hard at work making it even more hellish. Israel began as a state in 1948 by hardworking pioneers who actually did make the desert bloom but have ended up as cruel and murdering occupiers and land grabbers. Yes, there are Palestinian terrorists galore, but I wonder what Americans would have become had they been occupied and their land taken away from them and made to endure daily humiliations by a foreign power? If they didn’t turn to resistant terror, I’m Kamala Harris.

Hey Elon---Which Twitter employee(s) protected Christopher Bouzy? The complaint has officially been filed (by legal content creators on YouTube) for defaming & harassing people on twitter.

Turns out, Christopher Bouzy has a history of running from legal complaints: sued by landlord for $10k in back rent. He refused to pay rent for 5 months, but owns a multi-million dollar bot farm. Bouzy declared bankruptcy to avoid eviction.

Twitter broke its terms of service to protect Bouzy. He knows his days are numbered, and is desperately attacking Nate The Lawyer's disability.

Press is beginning to pick up on the law suit. Sweet to see Meghan Markle and Amber Heard's names legally connected to Bouzy and his bot farm.

The magazines were printed in 1968 and 1969, both turbulent years for politics which featured the May 1968 riots in Paris; the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr and the anti-Vietnam protests in the US; the end of the Prague Spring. In Japan, 1968 was the year that a string of violent student uprisings forced many of the top universities to close.

As well as photography, PROVOKE also had a huge focus on writing. It printed experimental poetry, as well as philosophical, political, and critical essays. Its founding members included art critic Koji Taki and poet Takahiko Okada, as well as photographers Takuma Nakahira and Yutaka Takanashi. Because the writing in the magazine was so important to its members, Lo was mindful of the inconsistencies that can occur in translations. So she decided to keep certain words in Japanese, followed by a short description in English.

The magazine is most known for conceiving the groundbreaking style in Japanese photography, “are, bure, boke”, which translates to “grainy, blurry, out of focus”, a sharp contrast from the usual imagery in Japan at the time. “It was not just a technique,” says Kotaro Iizawa, a Japanese art historian, during his talk, Decoding Provoke, at Hong Kong International Photography Festival (HKIPF), where the first-ever exhibition on the PROVOKE era in Asia opened last week.

Yes, as far as I know Sensei will be continuing to publish new chapters for the foreseeable future in ihr HertZ magazine (although whether she will ever actually finish is anyone's guess! Personally I hope she continues for years and years, maybe finishes the main story and then just publishes loads of flashbacks and side stories😄). She hasn't published a new chapter for a few months, presumably because she was getting ready for the release of Vol.4, but hopefully we'll get a new one soon! The latest chapter is (new) chapter 12, a non-Pawpads version of Rosa Alba that is still ongoing.
