I have come to the realization that what I want (need?) from S5 is lazy making out on the couch. I want them sprawled out on the couch, legs tangled together, hands under shirts, slowly moving together - not PG13 anymore, but not R rated either. Just comfortable simmering heat. And then presumably they get interrupted by someone, but I want domestic making out because they have time now, because they're sure of each other, because they know they're going to bed together at the end of the night and waking up together in the morning and they don't have to rush.

nothing I’ve written lately can be shared, so here’s something I hope I haven’t shared yet

“Nancy made a comment the other day about how often you stay over.”

Carlos’ expression immediately falls and he looks off to the side, as if he’s trying to count up all the days. “I—”

“She said she didn’t mean anything by it and I promise she doesn’t mind having you around,” TK quickly interrupts, reaching across the table and grabbing Carlos’ hand. “I just thought it would be nice to make them dinner as a returned favor for the food I feed you and the extra water from you showering… you know, that kind of stuff.”

Carlos still looks uncertain, his slight frown and his big brown eyes making him look remorseful. “I don’t want to impose.”

“Baby, you’re not.”

“I could pay—”

“You are not paying for your additional portion of the water bill,” TK tells him. “It’s probably not even that much. We shower together half the time anyway so we’re probably saving money, if anything.”

Carlos gives him a doubtful look. “I don’t think we’re taking environmentally friendly showers when we’re in there together, TK.”

“Whatever. My point still stands.”

Five days ago, he promised his mother he’d stopped using again — that he’d flushed all his pills and deleted his dealer’s number, that he was ready for another fresh start.

It hadn’t been a lie at the time — not completely. He’d kept the pills but he’d locked them away, and he really had deleted some numbers; the people he knew were the worst for his health. But the emergency stash was a cloying temptation, and his resolve had crumbled within days; quicker than usual. He realised, the moment he reached back out for the pills, that he hadn’t been ready at all. He’d only wished that he could have been. He hadn’t wanted to burn his mother’s pride, to turn it all to ashes between them. So he returned the pills to the empty drawer in his dresser, and he just never told his mother. He swallowed them down in his bedroom, alone. He simply carried on keeping quiet.

“Almost a week,” she tells him now, and something in TK’s chest turns hollow, howls with the ache of the words.

“Right,” he breathes. “I guess.”

Why are some OG fans such hypocrites?? Oliver says Buck meets Tommy in episode 3 and in episode 4 they're kissing. And everyone is cooing about it and saying how amazing it is. Do they hear themselves? These same people blasted Tarlos (and still do) for basically starting the exact same way 🙄.

TK smiles at his reflection in the mirror as he buttons up his work shirt for the day. He scrapes a nail over a mark Carlos left just below his collarbone, letting out a breath at the sensation, then presses harder as he remembers the feeling of Carlos’ lips all over his body.

God, he misses him. It’s been a grand total of two days, less than, since he’s seen Carlos, but he misses him, misses the way he makes him feel, misses the soft way Carlos kisses him with everything he’s got. He just misses being around him, really, but within the next thirty minutes, they’ll be together again.

TK can’t wait.

For now, he finishes buttoning up his shirt, somewhat disappointed that he had to cover his new mark—which is a turnout, really; he’s been grateful to be covering his scar for so long, but now Carlos has kissed over the skin there, he finds he doesn’t want to as much—and grabs his tie from where it’s hanging on the doorknob.

A few minutes later, he’s padding out of his room, far earlier than he would normally on a Monday morning, even since Carlos, and heads downstairs.

Lone Star further giving me better faith in Buddie happening was not something that I expected from watching it. The Carlos being jealous of TK’s new guy friend storyline. Tim Minear the man that you are.

The universe has a different plan for him this time. All it takes is one frozen lake, one fateful radio call, and the possibility of losing TK forever that forces him to confront it all.
