My Marauders Headcanons Pt. 5 ~ Lily Jolene Evans

(No fancast cus I cannot for the life of me decide a Lily Evans fancast)

When she told James he was sad but glad she told him instead of just stringing him along

Lily has ear piercings and a septum piercing but that's it

She absolutely adores bunnies and would love to have one

The Evans' had a family cat and her and Petunia would fight over who got to feed it, and who got to play with it, and who got to sleep with it at night

Whenever Lily went away to Hogwarts she wanted to take the cat with her but Petunia threw a fit and her parents didn't think it won't be fair since it was the family cat so she couldn't

Whenever the cat had kittens two years later Petunia and Lily each got to keep one and the rest were given away by her parents

Lily was delighted to take her cat to Hogwarts

Lily cried and held each one of the kittens before they left and made sure to tell them how much she loved them

Whenever the family cat died Lily was absolutely heartbroken and she cried with her cat for days

Remus was there to hold her though and that made Lily feel better

Lily thinks Dolly Parton is a national treasure and if you don't like her she just cannot be friends with you and she isn't even sorry

And I mean all of them Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily, and anyone else we might headcanon as being close to them (personally I love the idea of James and Marlene being besties since they were in diapers. The brother and sister the other never had)  Like they all needed that man in their lives. He taught them about acceptance, real friendship, loyalty, love, and so much more. He was a voice of reason, a moral compass, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen, and endless other things. Like this a fact no matter how one chooses to see these relationships. And like I just love that for them you know? We all need a James in our lives. I’m so soft for that man😫 Like he was just like the greatest friend/partner ever and nobody can change my mind. 🥹🥰

omG NO!! PLS DONT APOLOGISE!! james always gets the *least* amount of love and i’ve been fuming about it for literal years at this point (at least 4, i think) so seeing this in my inbox is the best thing ever.

and also i agree with u so so hard. i know people have talked about the centrality of james wrt marauders with actual points to back it up but yanno im not competent enough for that—this is a vibes-only zone. and james? the absolute best vibes ever.

i think i’ve read a fic or two where james and marlene are besties and honestly, the more people who love him, the better. and i do think everyone can learn something from him! he’s such a good person and all his traits—kindness, bravery, confidence, self love, optimism—are things the people around him absorb through osmosis. god i love him so much he’s my precious little bean.

i’ve always seen him as a protector. it’s one of my hcs that he used to be on first name basis with all the kids (esp the first years) bc he’d introduce himself on like, the first day and just acts like a big brother ykno? (lonely rich kid rattling around in a huge empty mansion itching to pick up strays anyone?) and that’s one of the reasons why he’s just so goddamn popular—because he’s always looking out for others.

and of course, it’s always dialled up around his people. i’ve mentioned this in my prongsfoot tattoos fic but i think he was always accessible to everyone but he only really let down his hair, so to say, around a very select few. his golden boy reputation is a matter of pride for him and he works hard to maintain it but behind closed doors? all bets are off

Remus Lupin Headcanons

Cos why the heck not?! Feel free to add any of your own Headcanons to this list.

He's the mastermind behind 98.5% of all the Marauders pranks.

He only ever had 10 detentions during his whole time at Hogwarts.

Too sarcastic for his own good.

Has a nose ring.

He needs reading glasses but refuses to get any.

"Your idea, Pads, will kill us."

Extremely tall. Somewhere between 6'2" - 6'4"

Is either cockney or welsh. (I can't decide which one)

He either swears like a sailor or an old man. There is no in-between.

Is a very flirty drunk.

Is also a brutally honest drunk.

"Hey, James! Lily told me that your arse looks good in those jeans." *insert violent blushing from both Lily and James*

He adores Queen, David Bowie and The Beatles.

"Absobloodylootly."

Is a shit cook. He's burnt pasta before, like how?!

He smokes, much to James' dismay.

Is a criminal mastermind.

He can always find loopholes in the school's rules.

He was the one who came up with the idea of the Marauders Map.

"Why am I even friends with you three? You're all fucking gits."

Almost got sorted into Ravenclaw.

He hates flying, mainly because he has a fear of heights.

"Bugger!"

Can drive a car but shouldn't be allowed to. He's terrible.

Can sing pretty well.

Secretly loves Emily Bronte novels.

Wears beanies and pulls them off.

Can throw a pretty good punch.

To him, Amortentia smells like Herbal tea, chocolate, wet dog, Sirius' shampoo and leather.

He practically inhales his food.

Super clumsy.

Is the reason why there's a swear jar in the Gryffindor Common Room.

He became friends with Lily in 5th year after Sirius pulled a prank on Snape that went horribly wrong and he withdrew himself from the Marauders.

Falls asleep in class a lot.

Tried out to be the Quidditch Commentator but McGonagall kicked him out after the first match he commentated because he swore too much.

He has 'I solemnly swear I'm up to no good' tattooed on his collar bone which magically vanishes depending on who he's with.
