You can say anything about Hope Solo, she did mistakes (no doubt about that), but she always spoke her mind even when EVERYONE was against her and they treaded her like sh** and she always been on the right side of history. For equality.

I will always stand with Hope Solo. And not only because of her fight for equality (even now) and the sexist treatment she endured over the years, but also because she was (and maybe she still is) the best goalie the USWNT ever had.

She was a literal WALL and she was a leader, both of defense and the team.

I love Alyssa, she's the best we have now, but I really miss Hope. She didn't deserve to end her OUTSTANDING career like that, she deserved more.

Bonus: O'Solo was AMAZING and so SOFT.

I need some A-Team (or Preath, Kellex, hell I'd take O'Solo) fanfic in my life. I have quite a bit of down time and I'm looking for some good multi chapter fics. Oh sweet, sweet anon. The 2012 Olympics was a magical time. Kelley took over right back for the injured Kriegs and played every damn minute of that tournament. It was her first big chance. Prior to the year leading up to that tournament she had only a few caps and hadn't played well. But then she had to step up and who was there to help her? Captain America and our favorite jaw clenching goalkeeper. Our beautiful team was destined to win. Destined to overcome the heartbreak of the World Cup loss the year before. And for Kelley, it was her coming out party. Her chance to show what she could do. And she did. And they won. But what I think the other anon may have been referring to was the rise of O'solo. That was the golden era of that beautiful ship. The best O'solo moments are arguably from that year. They were roommates for the 2012 Olympics. The pictures and tweets from that era are spectacular. Many fanfics reference the London Olympics as a special time for them. Mine always do.

Collaboration!

Drum roll please...!

@someonesingingalong and I have decided to collaborate on O’Solo one shots together. What does this mean exactly? Well, we’ll be sharing ideas, editing together, and helping each other out during writer’s block. We’ll often pick up pieces where the other has left them, and if you know either of us well, you’ll probably be able to pick out each of our writing styles ;) 

We thought of doing this for three reasons. 1) someonesingingalong is new here and asked me to look over some pieces she wrote, and honestly, it was super fun to work together, so why not continue? 2) We hope to strike a balance between fluff and angst, something that everyone in the O’Solo dumpster has been asking for lately, and 3) Sometimes writing becomes “too much” alone, and that can take the fun out of it. Helping each other out is a good way to stay on track- it’s all about team effort, right?

I have two favorites:

All the Songs Make Sense - this is the greatest O’Solo saga I ever wrote. It’s something I actually planned and is about them after Hope “retires.” Synopsis: Hope suddenly retires from the national team and Kelley breaks off the fling they had going. Three years later they are reunited when Kelley gets traded to Seattle where Hope is coaching. This is the story of their reunion.

Down the Rabbit Hole - this is the greatest story I ever wrote. I honestly don’t know what came over me but I love it. Synopsis: Kling and Moe find out that the fandom ships their teammates and writes fic about them. They find one fic that hits a little too close to correct and they play detective to find out who wrote it. Involves a little O’Solo and a little Krashlyn. There’s a sequel but it’s not as good.
