Day 1– Hateno Ancient Tech Lab
Introduction to Headaches— specifically, Zelda’s. Six months ago, blood moons started reappearing. Monsters started multiplying. Link’s been fished from the woods and put back on monster duty. Zelda’s researching as much as she can, serving as Purah’s understudy, but there’s only so much they can do with the continual tremors and growing concerns across the hyrulian continent.
(Linktober prompts and bonus doodle under cut!)
Lies and trickery! It’s a bonus doodle alright, but it’s also a LINK to my PATREON SKETCHBOOK MUAHAHAH
Andd all zelda stuff from me, if ur in to free stuff i guess
When Rauru ascended the throne as the first King of Hyrule, he was welcomed by the regional peoples of Hyrule, who knew of his heroic deeds. While maintaining friendly relations, the regional governments eventually formed a unified federation with the Kingdom of Hyrule at its center.
There was one group of people who voiced opposition, however. These people were the Gerudo. The Gerudo had established a country in the desert, and their culture was far more advanced than that of the other peoples in Hyrule. Their most distinguishing feature at the time was that they were currently ruled by a king, the one male born to them every hundred years.
For the Gerudo, who possessed a strong martial culture and considered themselves to be sufficiently powerful on their own, Rauru’s new kingdom seemed little more than a temporary upstart that would quickly fade. As the King of the Gerudo, Ganondorf harbored an innate distrust and hostility toward the sudden appearance of the Kingdom of Hyrule, which had eschewed war to build a united federation on a foundation of peace.
Image Caption: The King of the Desert, Ganondorf. The Gerudo closely resemble Hylians, but Ganondorf’s ears are round. Perhaps this is a sign of his fate to stand against the gods.
I have to split today’s linktober into two because theres too much stuff to tackle. That aside, here’s some lighthearted shenanigans!
The duo’s looking for the source of the blood moons, and zelda’s finally mustered the courage (and annoyance) to poke around within the castle’s bowels. This is great, because she and link have stumbled across a goldmine of ancient murals older than even the ancient sheikah’s catalogued history. Cheers, zelda!
Patreon, if you want a sneak peak of the Shit That’s About To Go Down
I thought of making some illustrations for my recent sidlink fic where Link had cut off all contacts with Sidon and finding his own goal in life only for destiny to have different plans for him
Something something TotK Ganondorf’s carefully arranged hair, the heavy weight of pulled high and back, held by sturdy gilded clips and rings—his hair likely a feature he took great care of and pride in—and how immediately after he obtained phenomenal powers, his hair burst free, unhindered, every strand glowing like a filament.
Something something and the sense relief of removing the mask, basking in the warmth of unimaginable power, and finally letting his hair down.
